Front Desk not too welcoming and took a long time to check in and wasn't accommodating and wasn't able to get a double bed waa traveling with my sister and restaurant in the hotel will suck you pocket dry.

The Westin in Jersey City was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, we had blocked approximately 60 rooms for my daughters wedding. It wasn't until two weeks prior to the wedding that the manager, Isabella Burnat, told us that they had many weddings going on. We had wanted to extend the bar service for our guests. At that time she told us all the bars would be closed to us. Funny though when we asked to extend the bar hours she had told us that the bar would be open to other hotel guests! Nevertheless, we couldn't extend the bar hours which was extremely disappointing! Since we are a large family, we wanted a place to converse and still have a few drinks. We decided to sit in one area but we were thrown out! We were not treated well! Another complaint is that we provided our guests with hotel bags that were to be delivered to their rooms. Needless to say, they were not delivered! The hotel also charges $2.50 to deliver each bag! They did wave the fee, however. I was extremely disappointed in the service at this hotel and extremely disappointed with the event manager, Isabella Burnat! I will not stay at this hotel again.

Hotel beautiful. Staff friendly. Room clean, BUT, bed was absolutely horrible. So uncomfortable. My husband and I stayed here to get a good nights sleep away from the kids and we didn t sleep at all and woke up with sore backs. There was also a dog whining all night in the room next door which was annoying. Also, only one small bottle of water left out for us instead of two.

This is my second time to stay at Westin Jersey City Newport. A great hotel! We took uBerXL from EWR to this hotel. The ride was $32.87 + tips. Check-in was smooth. Love the warm apple cider near the check-in area.

Our upgraded room on 12th floor was great and comfortable! We love the room s air. My husband has bad allergy and he had no complaint at all. This was a great stay for us before our cruise trip. Too bad that it was rainy outside. Otherwise, we would love to go out to the boardwalk to enjoy the night view of Manhattan across the river.

We haven't stayed a night here, but we have attended many parties here. The place exceptionally clean and has a great ambiance. If you have rental/ car be ready to pay ridiculous amount on parking garage.

I reside in Chicago and have a second office in Midtown, resulting in frequent travel to New York. I stayed at numerous hotels until I experienced The Westin Jersey City Newport. This hotel has become the ONLY place where I will stay when traveling to New York. From the moment you arrive at the hotel you're greeted with a warm welcome from staff, most of whom have been there from the day the hotel opened. The rooms are larger than most and have a beautiful modern decor. The location is fantastic as you're 1 train stop from Manhattan and a couple of minutes away from beautiful towns, like Hoboken.

What differentiates this hotel from any other is their proactive approach to ensuring guests feel like family. Their commitment to service is evidenced in each interaction, making you feel home. I applaud their Director of Operations, Nurper, who has done an outstanding job in leading and establishing a world class experience for guests. The following staff have consistently made my stay special: Patrick, Stephen, Ben, Jim, Najoua, Malou, and Oscar. They are all truly wonderful people and I look forward to seeing them all each time I visit.

Nice hotel in a great location. You're in Manhattan in a few minutes. The airport is not far away and directly behind the hotel is a huge mall.

The hotel is in a very convenient location with many places to eat around and next to a path station. When I arrived, my room wasn't ready so I was upgraded to a higher floor. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean

Everything about this hotel was great. The location was walking distance to a shopping mall about 5 minute walk. Also it was right by the subway station. There were alot of little eateries around. Also had a beautiful view of Manhattan from hotel. The staff was great aswell, rooms were cleaned and stocked daily. There was also a swimming pool in the hotel not the greatest.

Absolutely the worst after visit experience I've had. They attempted to charge my account 3 times for service charges, and then charged me a 4th time for valet parking when we were told there was no charge. Either way you have to pay for parking on top of the visit because they don't have parking facilities of their own. Also a minor gripe, no free WiFi, which sounds stupid but considering you can get it at a super 8 motel in the middle of nowhere...yeah. great staff(besides the woman on the phone) average rooms,(they were clean enough), but having to deal with the bs after my stay ruined the experience for me.

The Westin, for those who may not know, is a Starwood hotel. Starwood has been an outstanding brand and the Westin is no exception. Unfortunately, Starwood has been acquired by Marriott, which tends toward mediocrity. I fear for the future of the Westin and similar Starwood hotels under Marriott management. You should too. Still, a damn fine hotel at reasonable pricing with all of the amenities you might desire. Gym. Swimming pool. Bar. Restaurant.

Nice place but the hotel staff at the Half Moon buffet is a little lackluster especially if you consider the prices of the food. $18 for a basic bacon, eggs and toast. The hostess told us the breakfast buffet was $25 and includes coffee/orange juice. We find out later that the buffet is only $20 and coffee/juice is an extra $5 ($6 on the menu). Basically deceiving you. Did not enjoy that. There were also crumbs left on our table from previous customers. The rooms were nice, very comfy beds and room serviced daily.

We had a great stay at the Westin! The room was quiet big, clean, and had a decent view of the water. It had a nice flat screen TV, a chaise lounge and the bed was VERY comfortable, I would say it was 'heavenly', as they would prefer to call it. The lady at the front desk was friendly and accommodated our late check out without any problem. But what I amazed us most was the fact that they paid attention to the note that we left on the online reservation form. We asked for a little romantic touch and they exceeded our expectations!! This is a great hotel to stay at, we highly recommend it!!

nice hotel but a bit pricey. still, it's very convenient to get from here to Manhattan, 25min! there're some convenience stores and restaurants around where you can get good food and not overpay for it. Starbucks is also walking distance from here.

Very comfortable hotel that is very close to New York City. You can ride the PATH subway that goes across the Hudson onto NY (about a 5 minute walk). If you drive, there is a big parking lot connected to the hotel. Excellent location.

I was disappointed by the cleanliness of the rooms. Dust, hairs, smudged carpet etc. The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. I wish I could say the same about the bar tender. On the bright side: the rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you ll need. The food (room service) is outstanding!
