The hotel is great, but can get noisy on the weeke...
The hotel is great, but can get noisy on the weekends. Good luck finding a late night drink or meal close by though - there isn't much around.

Nice rooms but the breakfast is overpriced and severely lacking selection. $6 for the cup of coffee and $4 for the slice of plain toast?
The New England Patriots stay here when they are in town. So if it's good enough for an NFL team, then it should be good enough for the rest of us right? Truth is, The Westin in Jersey City is a very affordable hotel in the NYC area. Yes it is across the river, but it only takes 10 min by train to get to Greenwich Village... 5 minutes to Wall Street. There is even a ferry available. Restaurants, a shopping mall, movie theater, this is a great location at a fraction of the price. Best yet- no tourists! The Westin is one of the newer hotels in the area. Grounds are well kept and the bed is heavenly!! Popular hotel for Indian weddings. Lots of space.
We have stayed here twice & we will stay here again when we come back to Jersey. Very clean hotel and a courteous staff. In fact, we stay in a lot of Westin Hotels & have never had a bad experience.
One of the best hotels in New Jersey, but only for businesspeople, or tourists who only want to sleep there, you can have a nice view of the Hudson, and there are plenty of restaurants and a mall nearby. Man walking 5 minutes to the subway which will take you to New York in 20 minutes.
The area was clean, the servers were friendly and the drink were good.
Comfortable bed and cozy room. We didn't have the best view, but even what we had was nice.
Attended the New York Custom Knife Show. As usual, the Westin Jersey City Newport is kept up to the reputation of the Westin image.
Located near a shopping mall and fairly close to subway/transit connections. If this location is good for your trip, the hotel is highly recommended!
One stop on the PATH to World Trade Center and about half the price of NY accommodation! Very clean and walking distance to metro station. So convenient but be careful of maintenance or you have to go through Hoboken. Great if you don't need a car. Staff was nice and rooms were clean. Full kitchen.
Attended a social event in the banquet hall. Good staff, and a great place.
I stayed in the suite on the 15th floor, very nice room. The staff was very nice, and helpful. I will difinetly stay here again.
For years my favorite hotel in the US. Super clean, beautiful rooms, relaxed atmosphere and a slight smell of white tea. The location is great, right on the waterfront overlooking Manhattan. Do not miss sunrise or sunset!
I went to the Westin for training and it has very nice conference rooms. The catering was ok, nothing special. It's a nice hotel and a good place to hold professional events
Here for the NY Custom Knife Show
Hotel us great
Perfect location, great service, very convenient, however the prices keep on going up
Not the best choice is you have other options. Customer service is horrible. Rooms are dirty. It starts with long line at the check in counter during the rush hour and everything goes downhill from there.
The westin has a great location, outside of NYC, yet close to the path so you're in the city in no time. Rooms are nice, all in all a very good experience.
Great hotel! Clean and We had an excellent view of the city! The staff was so helpful. We wanted to take the subway to NYC. They told us exactly how to get there! I needed to get to a Macy s asap and there was one almost next door. The hotel is in a great location! Safe neighborhood. Good hotel to stay in if staying in Jersey City!
Beautiful views, good hotel rooms overall and the food is surprisingly good!
Went to deliver to the Westin, staff was very kind and professional
Wonderful hotel..great location..courteous staff will make you feel at home
Shower amenities could have been better, but the addition of a rain shower was excellent.
My company had our holiday party at the Westin. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.
It was a nice place good service and gay friendly bartender
Typical business hotel - I was there for a conference and the rooms were versatile and nice. I did not see the hotel rooms
Rooms are nice. I'll skip the breakfast buffet next time.
Paid for deluxe thinking that would give me a room on top three floors. Did not get an agent from the hotel I was going to stay at and I say this because I asked for a room with a view. Did not get that. Customer service has been subpar so far. Room is clean an spacious I guess that's good.
The light rail is shaking the rooms starting at 5am
Only ate breakfast here. It was OK - not a lot to choose from when ordering the breakfast buffet. The scrambled eggs and oatmeal were mediocre.
Room very nice, spacious. Requested green choice, which i thought meant don't change towels or sheets. Came back to unmade bed, uncleaned room, no tea or coffee makings! Learnt lesson! 1 quiet and 1 bustling bar with food. Ok. Service american, ie good. Would stay again.
Was part of a wedding party and booked the hotel stay directly through the hotel. No charge up front, my card was supposed to be charged at check in. Adding a name on my reservation to allow my sister in law to check was ridiculously complicated and would have resulted in her having to pay with her card. They suggested that I fill out their online form so my CC info would be on file. They advised that i would NOT be charge until check in. Their employee was dead wrong, my card was charged immediately resulting in over draft of my acct. Called to complain, managers were generally unhelpful. I called starwood direct to complain and again generally unhelpful. Terrible customer service!!! I am now stuck with the fees bc they don't know their own systems and policies. I'm fuming mad, would never stay again.
I love the location of the Westin Jersey City. The restaurant is great the bar is a lot of fun and the heavenly beds are truly heavenly.
My family ate an amazing meal @ the Westin hotel, in jersey city, and it was 1 of the best meals of my life! I ordered the lobster mac and cheese, which is big enough to share, or eat as a meal! And i had the pulled pork sandwich, which, just melted in your mouth, and was huge! It was incredible. The staff doesn't rush u; Every course is brought out slowly, so u can take your time, and savor your meal! I recommend this restaurant, and i will be going back as soon as i can!
Place is spotless. Very busy as this is in the middle of everything here. Front desk help is awesome people opening doors for you consigerier was nice helpful and told us everything we needed to know in the area to grab somthing to eat. If staying in jersey city this place nails it. You aren't far away from anything if you want to travel by foot. Parking garage is a bit packed but it is what it is. I would send anybody here with confidence that they would be comfortable.
Wonderful place to stay with a family visiting the NYC area. Incredibly convenient to the Path trains. The staff was incredibly friendly. We had a beautiful view. when we come back, we will definitely stay here again!
Nice, clean rooms. Usually very busy. Staff is rude
Great location. Lots of restaraunts nearby. 15 minute train to the city. Room was excellent. Very clean. Enjoyed my stay.
Good hotel in a central location. The rooms are newly renovated. With the Path you are in a few minutes in Manhattan.
Reasonably price, conveniently located, amazing view of Manhattan. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good internet connection, pool & Jacuzzi. Parking $24.
Great hotel off Manhatten. Spectacular views back to city skyline
We booked a block of rooms for our wedding guests at the Westin JC, as well as a suite for ourselves, and suites for our wedding party to get ready in. From the booking process, through checkout, our experience with the staff at the Westin JC was excellent. The staff made planning and coordinating everything easy and worry-free. They were especially accommodating to a number of our out-of-state guests that came for longer stays. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the views were spectacular. Also, the hotel and its common spaces are so large, bright, and beautiful. Our wedding day started out rainy so we really lucked out and our photographer took advantage of the gorgeous main hotel staircase and captured some really amazing shots of our first-look on the staircase. We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin JC -- and so did all of our guests.
Came here for a conference. The rooms and conference spaces were beautiful
Room clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet could be better. Manageable shopping mall. Close to the ferry to Manhattan. Overall, highly recommended!
Nice hotel. Very neatly maintained, and friendly staff. Very close to the Path Station and close to many good restaurants in Groove St.
Very expensive though.
Beautiful hotel near the water front in Jersey City. Clearly a business hotel.
Great location and a really nice hotel. Spacious rooms, great staff.
One of my favorite hotels to stay in if I'm not in Manhattan. It is conveniently located right next to the PATH station in Newport and has an amazing view of the city day or night, just make sure you get a Manhattan view suite. The open space bar downstairs is nice as is the connected restaurant but for me it's so close to the city I opt to head into Downtown rather than linger in Jersey. The staff is very accomodating and the rooms are top notch. I had an amazing suite on my last visit with a massive bathroom with amazing bathtub views of downtown Manhattan from the floor to ceiling windows. There's a mall just around the corner too making it perfect for those out of towners who may get burned out on the sensory overload of the city and want to opt for a little hometown feel of a big box mall.
I come here to eat at a restaurant inside the hotel called Fire&Oak for their Lobster mac&cheese! It is a MUST try! The best I've ever had, yet....
Been to a few places; Brooklyn restaurants, Manhattan restaurants and still nobody has outdone Fire&Oak.
The restaurant is lovely and service is excellent.
Enjoyed the stay very much, except that an employee adverted me on taking photos inside the building and the maid took one of our personal towals. When presented with this issue at the desk, no explanations or apologies were given to us.
Very disappointed with the level of service and the rooms. Tried to take a shower but the water didn't drain too quickly. When I brought it up we didn't get a sorry just ok thanks for letting us know. No water in the rooms and we didn't even have the cups wrapped in pastic. The consierge desk staff was amazing. Tons of deals and make up for the hotel. Nice property just check your room.
Great place, better views! Highly recommend, friendly staff!
The view from our room was simply breathtaking. All the photos were taken from our room.
A short walk to Newport Station takes you in to Manhattan in no time.
Standard. Good hotel well located for the superb view of Manhattan
If anyone is looking for bargain deals for hotels and resorts head to . booked a hotel room on there and these guys had the best rates just about anywhere!
Very clean and comfortable, big in size, friendly staff, and a beautiful view overlooking New York from the Jr suite. Very happy with my stay I will be definitely coming back!
Well situated near all sorts of restaurants, shopping center, and public transportation (Path train), this hotel boasts beautiful views of the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan, a fitness center, indoor pool, and large ballrooms. Service is very good and rooms are decently sized and well appointed with bath robe, mini fridge, coffee maker, etc. The Half Moon Restaurant and Lounge charges a ridiculous $6 each for coffee and orange juice, and hot breakfast orders took close to 50 minutes to arrive so you're better off getting breakfast outside of the hotel.
HORRIBLE PLACE...AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE..RACIST.Valets will destroy your car..Dropped off a guest and the thug valets blocked my car in and called me an Uber driver and insulted me.Woulnt let me move and blocked my car.Wouldnt stay there if it was the last hotel on earth.Horrible manners by the valet.Set a terrible example how to treat people.
I enjoyed my stay immensely! I needed a nice hotel fast and i waa satisfied.
Very comfortable and easily one of the best hotels I have been to. Very close to the Newport Path station and Holland tunnel to NYC
Hotel is located in the financial district with great views of the new york skyline and husdon river. Ordered room service for breakfast and the food was delicious. Would come back.
Decent views in the higher rooms if you ignore the parking garage
Neat rooms, good service and Nice pool but gym was closed for maintenence though
Great views, room is perfect and drinks at the bar were amazing.
Great hotel. Great staff and good restaurant I the first floor.
