generally good, better than the other hotels in this area but some of the rooms are a little tired.

Very clean rooms and have come back multiple times.

Is good ..but no dinner menu in the room....and we have to paid for parking ..why???? No idea....

Nice room with great view of lower Manhattan. Train station into the city is just a short walk.

One of the best proven. Westin is the top! Spacious room, excellent mattress, very nice bathroom. The view of the room over new york is extraordinary. All the services you need are there. Excellent full breakfast of sweet and savory. In the room I also found an iron and ironing board. Highly recommended

Stayed in a 9th floor room with partial Manhattan view for 7 days. The quality is great and the rooms very silent, with dtv and coffee machine provided with free starbucks coffee every day. Good overall experience, a bit expensive (around 160$ x night for 2 people plus taxes, excluding optional wifi charge and breakfast), but it's the standard of the area I think. Very nice view of manhattan, even if partial.

Great place to stay. I enjoyed this place typical room but close to NYC, stayed fir a wedding got to go all over from this spot. This will prolly go viral jk.

Good food and service, although asking to substitute came with a hefty surcharge when the bill came. Would come again but careful what you ask for!

Near by public transportations, easy to get to many places you want to visit. Chinatown was great!

can go on and on and on about how amazing the Westin is. My guests and I stayed at this hotel for my wedding in August. I'll start with just how beautiful the hotel itself is. The views of Manhattan are impeccable, the rooms are spacious and clean, the decor is modern and fun, and prices were very reasonable! I stayed in the Presidential Suite for my wedding, where I got ready with my best friends. What an amazing experience this was! As I said the views are fantastic and the suite is HUGE and beautiful. All the guests that stayed at the Westin for our hotel kept complimenting how lovely it was. Aside from the awesome decor and rooms at the hotel, what stands out even more is the staff. They are truly truly truly incredible!! I cannot emphasize this enough. I had been working with Izabela all year on the hotel block for our wedding in August. Having never met her, she was so accommodating and pleasant to work with, always finding a way to add more rooms as time went on when we needed. However; the real testament to how lovely and amazing the staff is came the day before our wedding, when my husband and I found out that the venue we were supposed to get married at (Battello, which is located directly across the street from the Westin), was shutting down, effective immediately. As you can imagine, this was a HUGE shock and nightmare to say the least. Izabela and her colleague Eddie, heard this information through a third party and literally came running to our rescue. They ran across the street to Battello (where me and my husband were) when they heard the news and from that moment on, they did not stop helping us until our situation was figured out. They chauffeured us throughout Hoboken trying to find us another venue to get married out. I kid you not! They are truly amazing people and our wedding would not have happened if it wasn't for their help. Everyone back at the Westin was just as sweet, only wanting the best for my husband and I, and doing anything they could to make us feel better!! I feel as if we gained friends that weekend! The wedding did wind up happening :) We had our after party at Fire & Oak, the restaurant in the Westin which had great food and drinks, all at a reasonable cost. We also hosted a brunch for our guests there the next morning which was just as delicious. I cannot say enough great things about the Westin and its staff. Horribly run front desk and security . Wouldn't accept my valid driver's license from AZ for no reason,quoted me inflated prices by over double the rate of the rack rate on third own reservation websight . Took over an hour to check in . We're rude and disrespectful

I got two rooms, one was booked by Expedia for me thru my Bank and one was when I walked in. The next day when we inquire about complimentary breakfast, my wife was told that our rate was not qualified for breakfast, when I asked the reason, I was told it's because it was done in Expedia, I said, It's ok with the one with Expedia but how about the walk in room checked in of King room(200+$ room), then I was told, you should ckecked when you paid cause she cannot check the rate anymore, this does not make sense to me, because it should be in their system. Customers are not guesser, we should be explained of what are the amenities we are getting and expecting. Delayed response to request, we requested for towels and botted waters, aside from being specific in numbers because they know we are 5 (2 rooms, check the number of occupants-5), what came were 4 that we have to call 2x to follow up. Frustrating.The rest were fine.

Excellent location, but the rooms are not totally comfortable, "at the rental price" too high, and too poor service.

The Hotel was great. The room we held the event was very professional, good chairs etc. Only draw back was there is no direct walkway from the parking, if you choose to self park.

Writing this review from my hotel room; I was told on the phone while booking this room (NK) that I'll have a panoramic view of the NYC skyline and it'll be on the upper floors of the 23 story building.
Turns out I was placed on the 4th floor with absolutely no view but the traffic light changing from red to green. I can't even enjoy the beautiful bathroom windows because others can clearly look in! I was lied to and cheated. Manager didnt give a hoot he said I'm welcome to leave and go somewhere else. What a horrible new years eve being ripped off. (Booked with my SPG account).

I was here for an event and did visit the hotel bar. The bar was great, nice decor in all areas that I visited.

Not value for money. High rates just becz of its location.

Was at the westin for a ballroom competition. It was a very nice venue and the food that they served was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. The ballroom was beautiful and very large, plenty big for the event.

Great location and very comfortable mattresses and blankets.

Excellent room, hotel bar and staff. Having never been to Jersey City, I asked for a room with a view of Manhattan and the desk concierge upgraded me to such a room. It's a small gesture, but one I'll never forget and will stay here again on the next business trip. Thank you.

Comfortable beds, great bathroom and great view. Wi-Fi costs money that's my only complaint

Large room, well equipped hotel in a good location. Negative it was very clairaudient. So you could hear the neighbors talking, kids talking and even the engine of the minibar. The minibar in my own room I had to disable since the buzzing sound like a bass from a concert. Parking is next to it costs $ 25 a day.

Elegant with a very professional and pleasant staff. Perfect location adjacent to the Newport Mall, Path Train to NYC and a spectacular view of the NYC skyline.

I ve stayed here a few times for work and this time I did for a personal get away and it was great. Everyone was friendly and room was great. Being walking distance from the mall was a big plus.

Great location for Jersey City/NY. Room was nice and the hotel has a lot of things around it including a mall. Only real downside was the cost; a black coffee shouldn't cost $6 for $500 a night.

We went to the Westin for after work drinks and sat at the lobby bar. They have good choices and it is quiet enough to have a discussion. Snacks we're good too.

Odd shape rooms but great view of NYC skyline. Convenient location to the Path and to NYC, good way to get out of NYC if you driving avoid traffic.

Would have give 6 stars, quick and very friendly service, and most excellent pizza! Very large pizza (uk dustbin lid size) is definitely the one to go for.

Spacious rooms and easy access to Manhattan (via the PATH at Newport), with a decent restaurant in the lobby. Only complaint is that the Hudson-Bergen light rail that runs behind the hotel is loud. We couldn't get a good conversation in at the restaurant's outdoor seating area.

Met with a few friends. It was a very comfortable space for that. The bartender was very attentive but not overly so as to disrupt conversation. I would go again.

Rooms are not huge compared to how much they charge. The sad part was, even after paying a hefty amount, breakfast was not included. Overall a pleasant stay, great room service, nice view of the NY skyline especially the One World Centre.

Top for a New York Tripp Is not as expensive as Manhattan but is within 10 minutes by subway at the WTC

Very clean hotel and safe location. There's a mall right behind the hotel. PATH train and Light Rail are right down the street - just a quick walk.

The biggest issue I had was the **Expensive Food*** Salads and sandwiches both were $15-25 each. Don't eat at the hotel, eat elsewhere if you want to save money. If u want a refrigerator or microwave in your room, make sure you check if your rooms will have them first. Mine had neither.

Overall I enjoyed staying at the hotel and would go back.
