Beautiful hotel. Close to NYC although Jersey City has plenty to offer
It was perfect. My stay was very comfortable and pleasant.
It's easy to locate the hotel but not the parking lot
Fatima and Justine front desk guest services were not very pleasant. Also parking is pricey but that has nothing to do with the hotel. Everything else was great.
Very nice place but don't expect a view of NYC thanks to the giant building across the street...
Down to earth, yet very professional service. The foods great, too!
Great room with a great view. Fire and oak inside the hotel had good food and a pretty decent bloody mary
Was only there for a company town hall. It was very nice though!
Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, nice location, convenient transportation to the Path
Excellent apartments for life. Everything is there, everything works. Near train to Manhattan 15 minutes. Along the Hudson, good views for a photo
Positive: Clean and big rooms. Free use of pool, whirlpool and gym. Friendly staff.
Negative: WiFi costs $ 10 a day.
If you want to go to New York, it costs you $ 5.5 to go there and back, even if you have an unlimited ticket to New York.
I did not need to make reservation in advance and was well attended to at the receca. Very clean room on the 22nd floor with a spectacular view of mannahatan and part of new jwrsey, the only small breakfast is not included in the daily so it's a bit expensive
Terrible staff at the front desk. Insisted on having a physical credit catd to check in although they were emailed all payment information on July 31st. Gentleman - and I use that term loosely, was rude and unprofessional. There are better options in downtown Jersey City.
I was gather with a group of professionals that were discussing business and teaching how to make passive money.
I stayed only one night, the room was nice, the view was decent too. There isn't much to do while there though. The Internet was slow and pretty expensive. $10/night
A very tall and lavish building from the outside and in especially. The people seem to know what they are doing over there too.
Place was beautiful, but the employees were rude. From the minute we checked in, we received looks and Not-so-welcoming tones of voice. After being in our room for about 4 hours resting from our drive, we leave for dinner (was only gone for an hour) to come back to our doors being locked because we were a disturbance. ????? Being a 21year old minority couple where the only other minorities there were the workers made me feel like we were being somewhat pushed out. Paying $400 a night no matter how old you are, you deserve the best service.
This place is awesome great service beautiful hotel beautiful rooms and since I always iron my clothes in the morning it's the first hotel I've been to that had a light in the iron which I thought was incredible
Very comfortable with a nice sitting space. I wish I had brought an hdmi cable because the desk had av plug-ins that would have made it very easy to use the tv as an additional screen or watch Netflix.
Bad experience. I stayed 2 weeks on February 2016 for business. Nice, and spacious installations, big and fancy lobby. When I got to the room, the bathroom stinks to cigarette's smoke. Went to the Lobby and the front desk girl looks at me like I was the one who was smoking, a couple hours after I arrived, very bad costumer service.
They charge you for everything: Wifi, breakfast, parking (at least these are listed on the web page) but they charge you $5 + tax for each package you receive, and they do not tell you until you check out, very lame for a $350-per-night hotel. I almost got to think they would charge me for using the elevator.
I went in winter time, noticed that the door man opens the front door for parking users or guests with a car only, not for walking-in guests.
Gym is nice equipped, did not try the indoor pool. Close to the mall, PATH station and other services, but is not the only good hotel in the area, definitively will look into another one next time.
Only went for dinner and it was decent. Overpriced for sure, but the dinner was pretty tasty. They did try to convince me that a light lager was a double IPA and charged me for the expensive one when I mentioned it, but overall not bad.
Great food. But it was so loud in here that I felt pain in my ears. Just an FYI. Very loud.
The Westin Jersey City Newport room 2010 28 or 9 Jilly no July 1st
Very impressive Lobby in a neighborhood that seems quite safe when arriving around midnight. There were no restaurants in the area open then and they wanted $25 for a sandwich after all fees. I suggest not arriving hungry around midnight.
The room looks impressive with a dark carpet and a great view of Manhattan mine had to twin beds medium size flat screen coffee maker refrigerator large writing desk with a mirror and a decent size bathroom. There was no place to hang a towel next to the tub which was annoying. There were two types of shower heads including a european-style wand. The overhead shower head had light water pressure, but the pressure was better using the wand.
The air conditioning unit keeps the room at the right temperature however when it turns on it sounds like a jet engine is taking off down the runway. I could not find a way to keep the fan on which provides a great white noise. There were several times that the fan woke me up during the night when it turned on.
Hallway noises are quite loud to where you can hear people's feet on the carpet outside the door and doors slamming at all hours. I could also hear my neighbor talking on the phone and watching TV.
The beds were quite comfortable... there is a nightstand with only one power outlet which was behind the nightstand and very difficult to reach. The clock does have a USB port but if you need to plug in a CPAP you have to get behind the table which was difficult.
I love staying at Weston's but if this had been my first impression of the brand I would not be impressed.
Modern hotel with elevators that only go up if you have a room key which helps the security issue alittle. Rooms are average sized. I had 2 queen beds and had a view of the city.
Upscale hotel in an ideal location!
The Hudson River is only 1 block away. Nice walk with a view of Manhattan. Good, safe location.
Fabulous Hotel..
Comfy beds
Staff excellent

The hotel are amazing and an greater place to relax
Awesome hotel!
Excellent service, good accommodation and very good breakfast!
The room was comfortable, spacious and the service very attentive. I have no claim on my stay there.
Pretty nice. Bar closes too early at 11:30pm, but rooms were nice. Its next to a big mall if you need anything or quick food.
Beautiful hotel, convenient location, large, comfortable rooms.
Nice rooms. Good service. Bar and restaurant options are good. Close to light rail and shopping. The only con is that it can be a bit pricey.
It was a very good place. Totally recommend, it is dated and nice service and good rooms. Please give it a try. Also, they give a lot of complimentary service.
Very nice rooms and very friendly staff. I really enjoyed standing overnight
Overall the building was nice and the layout was beautiful. I didn't stay overnight but visited a few floors. The staff was very curtious. Willing to help where possible.
The hotel breakfast was good. Had the arugula salad with turkey omelette. The room was very large with nice bathroom. Interesting bathroom design though which I wasn't a fan of. I really enjoyed the bed though, super comfy.
We stayed for one night to go to the liberty house restaurant. I asked for and received a great room with a great view. The proximity to transportation to NYC is crazy close. We took a quick unplanned trip over to the 9-11 memorial - so easy to do.
Excellent location, great comfort, amazing staff. Value for money.
My family stayed here this past weekend and we had a wonderful stay. Everyone, from the attendant to the maintenance staff were super nice and helpful. They even sent a cupcake with strawberries to the room for my son's birthday! It's in a great location too. I would definitely come back to this Westin again!
Convenient location... Easy access to PATH, shopping and dining!
Very nice hotel. Best room I've stayed in while working in Newport. The restaurant and lobby bar are also both worth visiting, adding to the total package. Staff seemed pleasant and attentive.
Starwood hotels are always great. Rooms were nice and large. Location was perfect for a meeting at Chase. There were plenty of good restaurant options nearby.
Always a pleasure coming back to this levely place. The staff is just at the top of professionalism.. I highly recommend this hotel.
It's 4 star hotel, very nice in everything, and in a nice area in Jersey City, NJ
It's a Westin. You get what you expect. Service is ok, Fire and Oak restaurant is good but expensive if you ask me
Good location and spacious rooms. We found this was a better deal than staying in Manhattan.
Very nice hotel, right next to the two major train hubs, you're a ride away from everything.
Good price, good view, and easy to access the train to get to NYC.
Beautiful place to stay. Very clean, excellent service, and delicious food.
Perfect room, perfect room service and perfect gateway. I am planning to go back soon.
After paying extra $9 a day for internet connection, found out the connection is so slow it is unusable for video conferencing. If you need a fast internet connection for work, this is not the place.
Amazing hotel. Beautiful city views. Restaurant is delicious.
Great hotel, very modern, inviting and comfortable.
It was holiday trip with friends. we come here last weekend . two nights we stay in this hotel. location was amazing. this hotel provide very comfort zone in everywhere, rooms were neat and clean, staff was very polite, services on the time. we enjoyed allot at this place for two days. lovely vibes. great food. must recommended.
Great modern property, beautiful views of downtown New York City if you get the right room.
Greatly enjoyed our stay, had a room with a view and a large soaker tub.
Great stay. Staff is very friendly and the place e I see clean. The location is great. Very close to the Newport Path. Decent grocery store in walking distance.
