Attended a conference meeting held at Wentworth Marriott. Food was good, friendly staff, however, there were flies everywhere. Staff was aware and had been doing something about it, but nothing could make a difference. Would still stay as a guest.

Excellent experience in beautiful New Castle,NH. Quality comes to mind when I think of Wentworth by the sea. The rooms, amenities, food and staff were all 5 star. I'd definitely stay there again.

Beautiful views, great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, and very neat, clean, and beautiful rooms. The hotel restaurant, Salt, was very impressive with great food and bar ser up and excellent service. I also attended a wedding reception in one of the ballrooms and the service was great, food was perfect, and entertainment was fabulous. Highly recommend for a quick night stay, weekend retreat, or a host to your special event. U will not be disappointed.

The three of us had a light dinner and drinks barside on an early Sunday evening. The surroundings are very well furnished and clearly well maintained. Even for a Sunday night the place was buzzing with a mixture of couples, small groups and biz people meeting before their conferences start on Monday. The light plates are tasty, salads robust and staff friendly and fast.

I visited Wentworth by the Sea for their Sunday brunch with family, and it was an experience! First off, the hotel lobby is beautiful. Bright, warm, and cozy. While we waited for other family, some water would have been nice though. I've stayed at other similar hotels that offer infused water in their lobby. As for the brunch, seating was a bit snug between tables, making it difficult to get back and forth to some of our seats if other guests were sitting at their tables. But the table setting was clean and welcoming, and the mimosas were poured immediately and kept flowing through out the meal. Other drinks were available by request, such as juices and coffee. For the food, there are plenty of choices! A whole table of charcuteries, raw bar items, and salads including fruit, potato, and antipasto. Everything was kept at a proper temperature and fresh. Also available was a sliced ham and prime rib (the server for the need sliced it too thin for my liking, and kind of slapped it on to the plate), as well as a chicken dish and mako shark. Another table offered typical breakfast fair, tiny quiche, bacon, crepes, etc. And yet another table had your pastries and breads and a station where eggs are made to order. And finally, a table of desserts. Everything tasted great! I would have liked some wheat or multigrain bread options, but otherwise I was very pleased with everything! The servers were a bit over zealous with refilling the mimosas, and I had mine topped off twice when I did not want more, but thankfully my husband didn't mind helping me out. Overall, a great experience! Perfect for an annual or occasional family treat.

We ended our honeymoon week here because it s a place we always wanted to stay And had very high hope but the staff/managment and customer service was no help and ruined our experience here and will never be going back. We got dinner at salt which is very overpriced with very little options, when we got the bill we charged it to the room number which you do so by writing the number on the bottom of a piece of paper! Meanwhile another guest also decided to charge his very expensive dinner bill to our room number as well leaving us with a combined bill of 400.00. When we went to the front desk to check out on a Friday they were stunned that someone did this and said it s unfortunate but not the hotels fault. No I said they re system failed us and the money was withdrawn from our account. The staff/management did nothing to make it right and the customer service is a joke. They reversed the charge but told us we had to wait 3-5 business days for our money which we had very little of because we already spent so much staying here. The hotel also charged us a different room rate then the original reservation. Management was the worst I ve ever witnessed and reading other reviews I m not alone.

Place is beautiful, We just were there from Wednes...

Place is beautiful, We just were there from Wednesday Jan 29th - Feb 2nd 2020 for my wife's 40th birthday. People were friendly, my wife liked the Spa, she said it was a little smaller then other spas she has been to. The pool was quite, we went in the hot tub & pool the 1st 2 nights we were there. The 1st night it was just us until about 10:15 pm then a guy came in a enjoyed the hot tub, & the 2nd night it was just us & another couple. I went down to the hot tub around 8am on Saturdaymorning & there was no one there until around 9:30 and a family with 2 kids came in. I left around 10:15- 10:30 the only people in there were the family of 2 kids & a mom & dad.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5th star was it is a little Snooty, Restaurant is Gourmet & seem to want to be a Upper Class place & we are not those types of people by far. Also we bought the Spa & Buffet Breakfast package & there wasn't a buffet breakfast on 2 of the 3 days we were there. So they tell you, you can spend up to so much and have to pay the difference & for your drinks not the coffee & tea that was included. But my wife got an omelette & a mimosa I got 2 eggs over with white toast & pancakes with apple juice & on top of the money we paid for the buffet deal it was $25. Plus $15. Tip. So dont buy the breakfast package during the week

So my experience with Wentworth by the Sea was not the hotel itself but it s employees. I Purchased a night for my girlfriend and myself as a gift for her, she had never stayed there. I had to cancel my reservation due to an emergency. When I tried to cancel the reservation I was treated like a second-class citizen because I purchased the hotel stay from another website. I called Alex one of the managers three or more times to get one call back. Which I missed and called him within 10 minutes. When I called the receptionist said he s busy with another manager. My understanding is the customer comes first. Then I called the GM and still have not heard back. I called Marriott Customer Service and they re not calling them back either.. I would say beautiful hotel from the outside but not so much on the inside.

Overall just ok. Restaurant floor dirty both meals we ate there. Food however was scrumptious. Some staff seem not well trained for an establishment that describes itself as a resort (front desk and waiter). Three stars for great food.

I don't know how the rooms are at the main building, but the condos on the marina were nice for a larger family group.
We really enjoy going here in nice weather for a walk along the boardwalk and a meal or drink at the pub restaurant there. It's also nice to have a drink at the bar off the lobby.

I was there for an Easter gatherings/celebration with my fiance's family. This was my second or third time being there and it was once again the most elegant experience I've had in my life. To be honest, before 2015, I never knew this place existed, but then again I don't normally travel and the friends and people I normally hang out with aren't of an elegant class or status. Again, it is a beautifully, well maintained venue and I will definitely come back.

My family and I attended the Thanksgiving buffet at The Salt Kitchen at The Wentworth by the Sea Hotel and Spa in New Castle NH - simply spectacular from the raw bar - crab legs, shrimp, oysters, and mussels to the roast prime rib and roast turkey and all of the sides you can imagine to the pumpkin cheese cake and chocolate mousse pie desserts with unlimited mimosas- not to be missed!!

Recently, the Wentworth hosted my wedding reception, and did an excellent job! When we first arrived, pictures were taken on the grass, and 2-3 servers were dedicated to serving me, my new wife, and all of our bridal party. They did a fantastic job keeping our glasses full as well as our mouths during cocktail hour. I didn't feel like I was missing anything and they even had someone come to the docks when we wanted some pictures taken down there. After pictures, we got a sneak peek at the room (grand ballroom) which looked BEAUTIFUL. At that time we also had a designated individual who made sure my wife and I were happy at all times; if anything needed to be changed or done, he was right there to make sure it was changed or ran smoothly. The flow of the ceremony ran like clock-work, and didn't feel rushed at all. The grand entrance, cake cutting, first dance, and all other aspects were done well. The food was incredible, and they were very accommodating in my requests (I couldn't decided if I wanted the filet, or the ravioli..why not both?). The room that came with the package was also awesome! 5/5 star rating for a 10/5 star reception. It far exceeded all of my expectations and wouldn't change a thing. Very highly recommended. Special shout out to Craig, Dan, and April for making this a day to remember.

I have had to meet with the people at the front desk on my way out then call accounting 3 x to get charges that were put on my account that were not ours. Very frustrating that NO ONE is in charge at this place. Nice, yes, but the systems that they have in place and resolving a dispute is difficult , they admitted it was charged to a different room. but fail to refund my charges to date, we stayed 3 weeks ago..

Stayed at the Wentworth for several days and loved several things about my experience. First off, it is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. However, I was perplexed that the TVs did not have an on demand feature nor a typical TV set up for a hotel. Just odd. The restaurant and bar were both excellent, and our waiter, Sarah, was fantastic in recommending several great restaurants and being very attentive to our needs. The room was nice, though not over the top. We stayed in a suite and had two showers with a small living room. Relatively small refrigerator. Excellent room severalngreatbrervice. Overall a very nice stay.

Went to brunch here. The food and especially the staff were amazing. Amazing food for a surprisingly good price. Overall five stars it was the banquet manager checking in on us and other tables around us that was what made the experience great. Sunday brunch will go back soon.

The room was disappointing and small for what we paid ($389/night), the service was very basic and the sheets didn't fit the bed and were torn. The wait for drinks at The Salt was over 40 minutes. We won't be back. Very expensive for the basic accommodations. Not impressed.

We went for a wedding. The place was pretty but the food was not great. The room was very loud, and it was hard to hear the person next to me. As a guest I would not reccomend it for a venue. The dinner service was slow and it was not a large wedding.

Great New England classic. Staff is kind and the grounds are beautiful. However, room 333 was lacking in that it had extremely little closet space and only 2 hangars. Shower curtains got stuck on the rod constantly, and there was almost no shelf space for anything in the bathroom. Overall I give the accommodations a B+.

I came here for a two-day off-site meeting with my company. This hotel is beautiful! The bedroom is amazing, the bathrooms are amazing (and provided free feminine products), the buffet meals are delicious, and the staff are very friendly. They have numerous meeting rooms/ballrooms for business events, they have an exercise room, a tennis court, and they have a marina to park boats. I have no complaints with this hotel. I only wish I came during the warmer months so that I could enjoy everything that this place has to offer.

We were looking forward to treating our mother to a night getaway at the wentworth. We rented two room for 6 of us including my 7 year old neice. The architecture and surroundings are beautiful the pool area was small crowded and not clean. a young boy partially vomited in the end of the pool and i discreetly told the pool staff and no visible action was taken. I was very dissapointed . the rooms were adequate the food in the dining room was nice. i wish there had been a complementary coffee station like the one I had when I stayed at the Beach side Marriot in Key West. i would not want to go back to the wentworth unless they improve service and cleanliness . Beach side Marriot was an inpeccable experience for all 7 days I was there this January .. I wish the Wentworth could follow suit. Nancy Forristall 77 Pine Island rd Newbury MA 01951

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff. The Christmas decorations were so well done, I wish I had taken more pictures. Food was delicious too! Some families could not control their kids from running amok at late hours of the night but that's not the hotel's fault. They did send staff to deal with the situation promptly. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

Fantastic hotel with great rooms and excellent food. The only negative from the whole stay is the extremely noisy air conditioning units in the bedrooms which cannot be switched off. Only the local unit can be controlled.

Have never physically been here. We were really looking forward to visiting this hotel but encountered a problem when we booked the hotel. Spoke to two different women at the front desk and both were entirely unhelpful and rude. Based on that alone, I will not be trying to visit this hotel again.

The stay was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival...

The stay was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival to the hotel we were told that our early check-in was not documented in the computer system and we could not have a room until exactly 4pm (standard check-in time for this hotel). When making the reservation over the phone we requested early check-in AND we also wrote it in when we did mobile check-in to assure that we wouldn't have to wait around. Once being told we could not be accommodated for such, we then had to prompt the woman at the desk to tell us what there was for us to do while we waited. We did not receive any instruction of the surrounding areas or really what the hotel had to offer. She simply pointed straight ahead and said "the bar is there and the weather is pretty iffy today so I'm not sure what else you could do, sorry" NOT what you would expect from someone in the service industry. When we arrived at the hotel bar, staff could not have been less friendly. We felt as though we were imposing on their social hour or something? It was very odd. An hour and a half later, the front desk called and our room was ready. We went and got the keys, however again had to ask instructions on how to get to the room (no one told us where the elevator was, isn't this just standard service when working the front desk at a hotel?). Our bags were not in the room when we made it up, we called down for them and we were told to "hang on" and then no one arrived after 10 minutes, so we ended up going back down to the lobby to gather them ourselves. The room itself was OK. Cleanliness wasn't terrible but a lot was overlooked (both of us are business owners and pay special attention to details and we felt this wasn't up to par for the level hotel Marriot ranked this at). Bed was really comfortable, no complaints there. We had also requested extra towels, which again was overlooked and was not in our room. The internet was down for a few hours, and we just would have appreciated being told this upon check-in. We had to call down and be told that someone was working on it. Again, no apologies or care for the fact that we were guests at the hotel and that this was an inconvenience. Coming in and out the hotel, no one spoke to us (it's a VERY small hotel, we just viewed this as unacceptable). Friendliness goes SUCH a long way, and there is just none of that at this hotel. Lastly, they say to have a full service spa however when we asked to have a pedicure before checkout, the spa attendant responded "um, sorry, no, no pedicures today" Again, how is this acceptable? Service is everything especially at a hotel and Wentworth by the Sea just falls VERY short here. We would not recommend staying at Wentworth by the Sea.

The worst I've ever been treated at a hotel!! I called a few days in advance to make sure I would have 2 beds in the room I reserved for 4 of us as part of a wedding block 8-9 months earlier. On the phone, I was told I was all set; However when I checked in I was given a single-bed room, leaving 2 of us on the floor for 2 nights (at $550/night). So I asked if they had cots, and they told me to "go to Walmart and buy an air mattress". The hotel and Bonvoy took no responsibility for their multiple errors (failing to take correct reservation, lying on phone, failing to hold reservation, losing our gift bags, etc), and instead blamed the wedding block that they couldn't guarantee a reservation placed 9 months in advance! Beware not to let them ruin your wedding weekend!
