The exterior of the cathedral is just gorgeous!! I take lots of photos of it. Beautiful architecture.

Everyone entering the cathedral is very respectful and keep the voice down. I really enjoy all the glass works.

It is maintained very well. Very clean. Staffs are very friendly.

Rather high entry, but excellent place to visit. Many little things, nooks, and chapels of interest, along with gothic architecture and stained glass ranging from traditional to contemporary.

Breathtaking architecture and it holds a unique place in the area for a structure so new. The chapels are very beautiful to just ait down and pray. The tour they give is amazing and the narrative of this place's history is extremely engaging and riveting. The tour costs about $12 a person but it is definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this place.

It goes without saying, this place is beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking. It is an amazing place everyone should visit, the architecture and design of the building alone is amazing. Great place for worship as well.

This is an incredible and special place. If you go, give yourself more time than you think you'll need. This place has so many hidden areas to explore.
There are gift shops on the main and basement levels.

God truly gave the Architects and construction workers a gift. Everything from the design to the building structure is made with perfection.

There is so much to see , from the individual chapels, to the respect of the tombs, the 7th floor with views of virginia and maryland, this cathedral is out of this world.

This place was truly impressive. A Testament to the capability of Humans and their ability to build. What an impressive structure. The amount of handcrafted stone work that went into this building over a 100 year. Was simply amazing. Don't miss the catacombs below the main level. Well worth The Visit had the place to ourselves. I would allow at least an hour or more to thoroughly explore the entire church. We walked from the nearby Metro terminal. That was a little bit of a walk but in good weather very doable about 30 minutes. During business hours there was a coffee shop on the grounds.

It is beautiful. There is surprisingly a lot to see considering it is a church. We went specifically went for the Lego Fundraiser. They are building a Lego model of the Cathedral for $2 a brick you can buy bricks and with assistance add them to the model. Upon completion it will be the largest Lego model of a Cathedral in the world.

I went for the traditional blessing of the tartans, a service so steeped in tradition and grandeur! I was in awe of the collective reverence for the event and the sermon really hit home. A very welcoming place, even if you're not Catholic!

Excellent experience. I was here with a group of students. The guided tour was well organized and informative. The cathedral is wonderful combination of Christian iconography and American history. The artwork is stunning.

Palm Sunday with it all--Dixieland band before the service, and as part of the procession, full complement of reverend, full choir with organ and a variety from Mideval to South African music.

This is a very beautiful piece of architecture and well worth visiting to get a feel for it. It's setting is designed to emphasise the peacefulness and this enhances its purpose.

Its design is on a par with the other great cathedrals, some of which are centuries older, and it will draw you back again and again.

On the day we visited, we were lucky to have bright, clear sunshine and the stained glass windows filled the cathedral with colour. One window to watch out for is the one dedicated to space.

After visiting the cathedral, don't hurry away as there is a beautiful garden in the grounds where you can sit and contemplate the wonders of our world.

This truly promotes the glory of God and through design, the beauty of his works.

Absolutely awesome cathedral. I had no idea there were such cathedrals outside Europe. Very authentic, somehow, yet very young. I did the Behind the Scenes tour, which is a bit steeply priced at a $15 extra, but it is so cool to go through all those doors that say, "Access Denied"! Don't forget to check out the basement - it houses 3 additional, beautiful chapels. The guides were very knowledgeable and knew how to tell a good story. Awesome!
