Beautiful, but we sure wish it was open until 5:00. Arriving at 3:30 was too late for a tour.

Admission was steep for a religious sight. I hope it goes to a good cause. Just a note if like me you thought this was the Catholic Cathedral, it is in fact an Episcopal one. I still enjoyed the beauty and awe inspiring architecture.

It was a great visit to the National Cathedral. Lots to see and very interesting. A must see.

What a beautiful experience! The cathedral was amazing.

Striking Gothic architecture. Moving house of prayer for the nation. Recalling services for President Bush and others preformed there added or the experience.

Beautiful cathedral for prayer. It is a great place for community with Christians. And all their events are wonderfully encouraging and spiritually engaging.

The National Cathedral is located in a nice part of town, surrounded by nice homes and such. Every so often, they give tours of the gargoyles that dexorate the cathedral (even a Darth Vader one, apparently?). The cost to get in is very reasonable, especially considering the awesome view that you get from the observation area. You can see a lot of DC, and even into Arlington from the Cathedral, which provides for a bunch of photo ops (and so do the pretty stained glass all around the cathedral).

It's best to check it in advance, as the time available is limited.
