The hotel was located in downtown within walking distance of lots of different restaurants. The room I stayed in had a great view of the river. Service was quick and kind. Great overall experience with no real down sides.

The W is a very cool, very bougie spot. It's not for me, definitely a little uppity, but the service was great and they had a great selection for decent prices. I don't think I'd go back, but it's a great spot for that crowd!

Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The entire staff was affable and helpful. I don't remember all the names, but Cameron at the desk was wonderful! Dustin, who is a bartender, was so very helpful about what to see and he is an incredible mixologist and person! He is definitely the one to seek out if you want an incredible cocktail!

This place is awesome! My wife and I went to the w to have drinks and appetizers. We started off in the record room. We sat down and shortly after, our server came and asked if we wanted drinks and apps. We ordered the pretzels and kobe sliders. That were amazing. Or server and the bartenders were awesome. Next time we might stay the night.

When I'm in Austin I normally like to stay here. I used 21,500 points to stay here using my Star Wood Points. This time round i had such an awful stay. I don't know what happened but I must of had the party floor. All night people were slamming their doors and loud as heck outside. When i finally did get some sleep, room service kept waking me up every 30 minutes. Though i had a do not disturb sign on my door. Just an awful experience. i am in the process of contacting the BBB about this matter.

This was my first time staying at the W and my check in and entire experience was amazing. Staff was amazing and I will admit I was very impressed. We had an amazing view of the city from our room. The bed was so comfortable! Honestly there was nothing I found wrong with my stay or the hotel itself. Because of the amazing customer service and my experience, I will be returning to The W. Thank you again for a great weekend ! Definitely worth every penny spent!

Loved: the contemporary decoration, the location right in downtown, the pool is awesome, the ambiance at the lobby, the valley parking with the text to serve system, the free water bottles, the beds, the view from 12th floor and the quality of the service.

Did not like: no tub in the room, one day only free wifi

I'd give five stars, and it probably deserves it, but this place just has a bit too much swank for my tastes. I go in here, and I feel like there should be cameras following me and red carpets sprawled out in all directions. Everyone looks magazine-ready. It's slightly creepy. But, if that's your thang, by all means, bust out those six inch heels, and hold that $10 cocktail with your pinky way out.

The pool is open to the public in the summer for $10 a person if you make a reservation online. The service is great and both of the managers always come by to check in on you. Kid friendly and I fun!

Nice modern classy hotel. Came here for a wedding and had a blast. Drinks were solid and not too weak. The food is okay but imo that's not what you're really paying for here. You're paying for an awesome room in the heart of Austin freaking Texas! But seriously step up the quality of the food W. Still had a delightful time.

This is s nice hotel. Great downtown location, adjacent to Austin City Limits. W has one of the nicest fitness facilities over seen at a hotel. The rooms are spacious and quiet. Reasons I didn't give 5 stars: no coffee maker in the room, spendy even for Austin.

Very disappointed for the amount of money we paid for this place, should have been much nicer. It definitely needs to be renovated. Bed was broken, A/C was not functioning well and they did not clean our room until 6pm. Stay at the JW Marriott next time.

Awesome hotel! Love the location and the amenities are very nice. The room was spectacular and had a great view of the city. The front staff was very welcoming and took over every one of our needs.

My stay at W Austin was amazing. The first person we met after check-in was Jevelle at the WETdeck bar. He served us their Fro e and we were instantly hooked. He gave us the best recommendations of places to check out and eat. I don't think I wouldn't have had a more awesome experience without his help. I'll be most definitely returning to see him at the WETdeck.

Their glass balaconies fell out. Not just one but multiple ones. Thankfully no one was seriously injured by them but I wouldn't let anyone stay here after that. If the people that built this place cut corners on that then I wonder what else they did wrong. It looks nice but it appears they spent their money on looks and not on safety.

Always have a good time here! Certainly has a party vibe-from the location, to the bar, to the pool, to the clientele. Rooms are lovely and the staff is great. Location is perfect-close to all the best parts of Austin. You can easily get to S. Congress and everything in between. I've stayed here a few times and there's always at least one celebrity hanging out at the bar. Perfect for a girls trip, romantic get away, or business.

I went in with my fiance to speak to someone about room blocks and we couldn't even talk to someone on a slow Monday morning. Most places don't take appointments for a meeting like this, but will have someone from sales meet with you, even for 2 minutes to say that they don't have time to meet today but would love to be in touch via email and give you their business card.
This was not the case at the W. We were shut down by a woman in the lobby who did not seem to know what a room block was, called someone in the hotel, and said that he was not taking appointments today, even though we said we didn't have time for a tour. She gave us his email on a post-it and asked us to make an appointment.
I understand needing an appointment if we were going to be there for a while, but it was incredibly unprofessional of the staff that we couldn't even speak with the right person directly for a moment of their time.
Room blocks (our potentially large one in particular) are thousands of dollars of business for a hotel, and as an SPG member, I am VERY disappointed in the extreme lack of professionalism of the staff at this high-end hotel.

Great location, rooms aren't as nice as the W Atlanta but the social scene in the lobby restaurant/bar is much more lively with good music and lots of people. I would recommend this is you are spending a couple of days in Austin. Close to lots of restaurants and cafes.

I had some friends come in from Dallas and we wanted to grab a drink at the bar. The decor was impeccable, the music was thumping, the people were beautiful...it was just a little too crowded for my tastes and so we moved on to the next bar. It was a beautiful hotel though. No complaints.

While I've never spent the night at the hotel, I've attended several events, including conferences, training, holiday parties, happy hours, and pool parties. The space is great for hosting/attending an event and the hotel bars are always a treat. Oddly enough, really amazing restrooms. The staff has always been on point, as well. Pro tip: if you get a service at the spa, you'll get access to the pool, which is a primo spot for a hot summer day.

We had lunch at trace and it was phenomenal the appetizer was a carrot type of hummus that was actually super yummy. I then had flank steak on my salad cooked medium well and it was just delicious. Drinks for Super Creative I had the sangria but it was with a white wine with some blueberries in it it was a great way to spend a Friday lunch

For over $400 per night you would expect luxury and impeccable service. This hotel was a huge disappointment. First the rooms are not anything to write home about. We slept terribly as our room was hot all night. When I brought this up to the front desk staff they said well did you turn the AC down . Ummm, no I didn t think of that! When checking out I loaded my own car and then had to track down a valet to ask for my keys. I will never stay here again. A better bang for your buck and excellent service would be the Van Zandt or JW Marriott.

We had an event in one of the rooms on the bottom floor. Though it was difficult to find, the happy hour specials ($5 Deep Eddy Sweet Teas with fresh-squeezed lemonades) is pretty good. The service is friendly and if it wasn't for torrential downpours and a One Direction concert crowding out the parking spaces, the event would have been a smashing success.

I had an amazing stay at the W Austin!

They really treat their preferred guests well! I am only Gold, but got an upgrade to a suite + 15% off room service, etc. Folks there are super nice and considerate.

In addition, they really went beyond the call of duty - my only dress shirt lost a button and they helped me sew it back late at night in just an hour. I was giving a speech the next morning, so they really saved me!

Thanks again for a great stay!
