Fun place to stay but the rooms are a bit small, the bar is always busy, can be a bit pretentious but it's the W so you go here expecting that.

The pool is cool but the drinks are way too expensive.

Great hotel, even though I had a troublesome checking experience

Love the location, service, and views from the room. The rooms are also funky (in a cool way) and very modern. Only reason for 4* over 5* is that I wish they had more lounge areas that weren't a hardcore night club. I fully understand the W's core market and what they go for, but it would be nice to have some chilled out area as well. Overall, really like the property and its location overall.

Great place to grab a drink. The overall motif is really chill and filled with velveteen eye candy.

Great rooms, meeting areas and bars. Friendly staff. My Nespresso machine didn't work, but fine amenities otherwise.

This place is extremely conveniently located. Great, unique rooms, fun bar downstairs. The concierge team is really helpful. The pool is amazing! I've stayed here a couple times and the pool is always the most fun part of my time in Austin.

Food is ok; staff is pretentious and holier than thou with complete vapidness- found I have celiac with their delicious pretzels

In-room dining has negligible vegetarian options. The vegetarian burger was very ordinary. In-room dining needs to be improved for the price charged.

Overall, I will come back and stay.

Swanky. Lots of high rollers up in here. The vinyl room is amazing.

This hotel is extremely cool inside. Great location too: right in the heart of downtown.

I had a small issue with billing. In my mind I believed when I called I'd spend an hour dealing with the issue. Nothing could be further from the truth.

On the first ring to the hotel my call was answered. Within 3 minutes everything was fixed.

Can you please train the rest of the hotel industry to provide the same level of service you do?

One of the bestest hotels in austin with awsome theatre. The food is good as well as the drinks variety. Location is convenient and in the heart of downtown.

Clean, sizable, and comfortable room. The bar on first floor offers a lot of individually seperated but VERY cozy sitting areas (with fireplaces) for people to hangout. Thumbs up!

Fancy pool area on Sundays with DJs. Over priced drinks

No better place than this hotel The W, You get first-class service the moment you step out of your car. Or through the wonderful doors into the lobby. Staff is wonderful...

Right in downtown with a lot of great restaurants and bars nearby. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Service was quick and friendly. Great restaurant and bar on sight too. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel in a perfect walking location in Downtown Austin. Rooms are comfortable and the interior of the hotel is super nice. If you are lucky with the weather (I was not unfortunately) it has a very nice pool. The lounge room in the basement have an amazing atmosphere, with 2 fire places

I had a great rate and was upgraded, probably because I'm a gold SPG member. The room I ended up in was the cool corner suite, which was amazing, especially for what I paid. I looked at the full rate and I cannot say I would pay it, even though I loved the room.

All the couches were really comfortable, as was the bed. Some nice little touches, like sticky tape, stapler, needle and thread, just in case. The minimalistic style was refreshing. I never thought minimalist and luxury would go so well together.

Gym is huge, but does not have a regular elliptical machine, which is the one I usual use. Alternatives were nothing to complain about though.

Not a comfortable piece of furniture to be found. The one bedroom unit was large and clean. The sheets clung like saran wrap. Microfiber, I believe. The kitchen was well laid out but very poorly equipped. In the future I will only use extended stays for a overnight on a road trip.

The W Austin has a fun swanky atmosphere. The DJ was on point with the music and the drinks were delicious! Looking for a fancy night out? This is the place.

Don't love this place, it's a bar, spa, scene first and hotel last. Staff could be more helpful and feels overpriced for what you get. Good location though.

We stayed at the W Austin while checking out Austin for our potential cross-country move. We have stayed at a few W Hotels before and always enjoy the ambiance, decor and consistency from location to location. This hotel was no different. Our room overlooked the pool and the hotel staff was friendly. We hitched a ride with the Acura Experience down to South Congress (for free), and it was a nice change from walking. I got this room using a W employee's family rate otherwise it's very pricey like most W Hotels. But I would definitely recommend it for an upscale evening.

Went to a wedding reception there which was done very well. Nice size place and great location.

Swanky, comfortable, and friendly people. Couldn't ask for much more! The room was clean and nice. Down a star because there were a couple odd maintenance issues in the room - peeling veneer, for example - and the shower was just not very hot! Overall, I'd go back for sure.

Staff were friendly, attentive, and the overall experience was fantastic.

We visited the Library lounge at the W and had a great time. Very atmospheric red lighting, great drinks, and live music too!

The service in this place is always superb, and they do a great job of creating Innovative cocktails with their rotating seasonal menus.

Enjoyable pool area and lounge. The "Cool Corner" room is spacious. I stay here anytime I visit family in Austin.

Will do anything they can to defraud and humiliate you -- even in Medical circumstances. If you ever have to deal with Alex or Ashley, and they try to defraud and humiliate you, please just ask to speak with any of the number of empathetic and wonderful Associates that the W fortunately employs

The music at the W Hotel bar was fantastic. There was a young man playing live music. He played various covers and even accepted audience recommendations.

Nice event space and conference center, clean restrooms, unusually good food for a conference center.

The living room was luxurious and well run, given the number of people at the event. Happy hour specials made the otherwise pricey drinks reasonable.

Amazing gym with everything (cardio machines, stair master, yoga studio, pilates machine, free weights, medicine ball, resistance bands and weight machines); fun downstairs restaurant with music; street noise can be heard but it's not too annoying; limited street parking

I have stayed several times and it has always been great. To prepare for my next stay, I was contacted in advance to see if there was a special occasion or anything they could do to improve things. It is always fun.

Very nice hotel in a great spot in downtown Austin. The staff was quite friendly and helpful, and the rooms are lovely.

When you stay at the W, you know you're in for some serious pampering. I got a cool corner suite one weekend, and the room was just perfect, from the decor to the sheets. There was a breathtaking view of Lady Bird Lake from the bathtub and it made for an amazing morning bubble bath to start off my days. The service was impeccable, and I will always, always suggest this hotel for anyone visiting our fine city.

I have stayed at many W hotels previously, including this one. It is a beautiful, modern hotel with nice rooms. I have a few issues with the W. It is excessively priced (yes I know it is in a nice location, but still excessive), we waited in a long line for check in, and it took greater than 15 minutes for our car to be pulled up by the valet (we texted when we were ready). This being said, the staff was friendly. We were offered water during our check in wait.

Good quality but overall a bit overpriced for what you get and you can find other places a lot cheaper.
Very good if money isn't an issue.

It's good for the w is close to body that's, with in walking distance. However I don't like the odd red and green color scheme they have going on

I went there for Thursday Pool Party. It is an incredible set up. The pool is long, narrow, and really a wading pool. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was lacking or low.

Absolutely love our stay. Beds were comfy, room was very clean and well kept. Only thing that I would've changed, was an in door pool. But won't stop us from going back on our next trip to Austin.

Went here with my Love and we danced til the early morning. Nice location. Multiple rooms to vibe in.

Just hit the bar on a Thursday night. Had a great atmosphere and the drinks were good. Drinks are pretty pricey though

I went for the new year's eve party, from valet to check-in for the party everything went wonderfully. Vices vs. Virtues was a great event

It was a nice hotel with a modern interior. The room was clean and fairly spacious. The customer service was fast. They even provide free water bottles at the concierge for hotel guests.

The inside was amazing. Very business man. There was also a homeless man that was outside the front both days. Very close to the river costs a bunch a night.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the music scene. Shops and restaurants as you walk out the front door. The Austin City Limits is just next door. The room was urban modern and very spacious. We over looked Ladybird Lake, beautiful view and experience. Tip: wonderful lounges downstairs with huge sofas to relax in with a glass of wine.
