Awesome solar company. I had my panels installed last May. They are taking care of my bill and I pay $1 less per month. I compared there quotes and they had the best deal. Customer service is good also. I have called a few times and they respond quickly. I liked them so much I work for them now.

Vivint solar has been great to work with. While we where shopping around we had a really bad experience with a different company. Our Vivint rep has been great.
Surveyor was early, kind, down to earth, upfront, not pushy at all, and just an all around good guy; yet still professional! It was free which was a HUGE determining factor. If all the employees are like the one that surveyed my house, then I would recommend Vivant Solar to everyone!
Been an employee of Vivint Solar(VSLR) for just over 2 years, and it has been the best job in a call center and all around. I thought some of my past employers were great, but VSLR has surpassed them with flexibility with my school, compensation and benefits, and ethics and standards. I can honestly say I am happy to come to work each day , especially with the comparison of my past job experiences!
Our sales rep, Amy Jeffries, was great to work with. Very informative, friendly and no pressure sales. The install crew were efficient and explained the install process well. They cleaned up the work site upon completion. Looking forward to using the panels.
My salesman, Rico Rivera, was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the products and services offered by Vivint. He was great to work with. I would recommend solar to anyone I know.
I am extremely pleased with the solar system installed by Vivint. My salesman was incredible to explain issues to me when needed. He is a top rate individual. Vivint is lucky to have employees the caliber of Cooper and his customer service team. Thanks Vivint.
We had a service rep come to our door today. My husband told him we were not interested at this time and the rep got belligerent with my husband. The conversation went as follows: My husband: "We are not interested in solar at this time. Signing a 20 year contract to pay for it isn't appealing" and Rep response was, "That's fine, not everyone wants to be a millionaire." My husband called him out on the snide remark and the rep called my husband a few names. Not respectful or professional.
My solar panels were installed yesterday. The installation crew was prompt, polite, and very professional. Can't wait to reap the $avings and help the environment! !
Everyone was very professional. My wife felt very comfortable with the installers at our home. The work was done in a timely manner and it looks amazing.
Great experience. Very helpful through the whole process and they even covered some expenses that they didnt catch at first. Very happy with how fast everything was completed. Paul and erica were awesome
Our experience with the Vivint Solar representative, Paul Fiso, was a very positive, good experience. Vivint has a great product and Paul was very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions either on the spot or went and found answers for us in a very timely manner. We were very impressed with how he would bend over backwards to answer any of our questions and make sure we were well-informed about the product. We highly recommend Vivint Solar.
Install was fast.. Can t say anything about the actual system as it will take another 2 to 4 weeks for an inspector.. Something the company doesn t disclose when they are selling you a $41,000 dollar system.. They lead us to believe once installed it would be up and going..
I can't believe how easy and fast the whole process was! Amy Jeffries was our rep, and she did an amazing job - and she was there at every step, from application to installation. I've wanted to go solar for years, but it was always cost-prohibitive. Vivint made the transition do-able and so simple. I just wish Salt Lake City was as speedy.
Crystal Arner is AMAZING!! From crystal to the electrician to the panel install guys, everyone is very nice. Amazing customer service. Can t say enough about our experience. Keep up the good work.
My husband works here, so I know firsthand how well this company treats its employees. AMAZING. They've got great benefits and a wonderful work environment. They're also changing the world for the better. Solar energy is starting to get less expensive, and it's competing with other less environmentally friendly power companies. Go solar!
Very professional experience throughout. From the sales reps, getting the permits, and the install crew, all were thorough and gladly answered my questions about the process. Highly recommend.
I needed my panels removed to replace my roof. It took five calls of over an hour each, being bounced from rep to rep, to finally get the removal scheduled. And then I had to do it again to get the reinstallation scheduled. I was given different/bad information by almost every rep I talked with until one rep finally took a personal interest. They told me they could not accept ACH or credit payment, but that I had to pay with a check. Even though I sent the check via certified mail to the address provided, they still managed to lose it. The day the work was to be performed the crew arrived almost two hours after the scheduled arrival time. I originally chose Vivint, while paying slightly more than the competition, because I was sold on the life long customer service experience. This has been a disaster.
So far so good. Sales Rep Billy was knowledgeable, polite and adjusted his time to our time. Good email system to notify you about the steps and status. The Installation Team coordinator was able to set the dates and times working for us, and the installation team was extremely professional and well prepared to do the job and make sure safety was a priority at all the times. Now waiting on activation step.
This will cost you dearly, if you go trough this company like I did it will cost you an arm and leg is waaaaay overpriced. There is many companies out there that offer the same service with same or better equipment than Vivint and cost a lot less Im saying because right after I got mine done my neighbor went trough a different company and for the same amount of panels he them for half the price of mine. You been warned.
The Installation and Remove/Reinstall team is SLOW and unprofessional. After we purchased, it was 30 days to installation. But once installed, it didn't work. I had to wait another 30 days for another guy to come out and fix it, but then he had to reschedule for two months out! By that time, I was making payments on a system that was non-functioning!
Now, I need to fix my roof and my husband and I have been informed it's going to be 30 days before someone can come out here once we schedule it. We have spent a combined time of 5 hours so far on hold waiting to talk to someone in Remove/Reinstall to get them out here to remove our panels so we can fix our leaky roof.
Oct 16, ,they called me back right away like 1 second after I submitted online quote. The guy directed me to their best sale lady. Well, she cannot even find my house in Lehi, says google map shows farmer land. Not sure what kind of lame system they were using. I have to screenshot my iPhones google map and share with the lady. That s how I have a number to text with. And she had to check with their design team. Later that day, I texted her to follow up. No response at all. Oct 28, after 12 days in total, she did text back today. She: I have a design for your home. Do you have a few minutes to speak? Me: Thanks. Not interested anymore. She: ok no problem. is there a reason you changed your mind?
Really?! If this lady is one of their top resource, I definitely won t bother to do any business with them.
Very good customer service. They where. Fast when it came to setting up appointments and getting all the permit requirements. The only complaint I would have is, my Home has cement tile. Tiles where broken during installation which was expected. I had extra tile to help with replacement, however the guys installing the panels, did not install my tile back correctly. Tiles where crooked and not aligned properly, I didn't have enough tiles to replace the broken ones and so they glued a few together and that wasn't even done correctly. I would have given them 5 stars if they had brought the supplies and replace what they broke. But seeing as they did not I am giving them 4.
Great all-around experience dealing with our sales rep. We paid nothing to get it installed and we are saving money. He was very knowledgeable and explained every detail. We are pleased so far!!
The Vivint representatives we worked with have been great, and we are excited to use our new solar panels once they are activated. I can't say much about them other than that for now, until the power company finishes their part to enable us to use the solar panels. :)
I have had a great experience with Vivint Solar. The process was very simple and quick once we decided to move forward. We had always thought going solar was to expensive, but with vivint solar we didn't pay any money and we are saving money every month!
I been got my solar installed seen December somehow until now it s not working yet and don t hear any new from you yet now I have to make payments to solar loans and sce&g
The solar installation was a breeze. The team was very professional and the lead electrician was very informative of the process along the way. Just another reason why the Vivint family of products and services are the best in their respective businesses.
Poor customer service once they sell you the solar they are done with you. Trevor young was our sells rep he does not respond back to questions. Definitely would not recommend to friends or family.
The crew arrived on time and finished in less than a day. Very impressive and they worked well together. I appreciate the fact they were from out of the area and leaving their families to work and get the job done.
after talking with 4 solor companies I decided on Vivint. They took care of everything, I have had no problems. I love using solor for power. plus my power bill went from $350+ a month in the summer months to under $100 including Vivint and local power company. I recommend Vivint to everyone I talk to. great service, and my salesman was a great guy, I have revered several to him and will continue to do so
They called me literally seconds after I submitted the online form which was impressive, and their products are well designed from the looks of it.
The "solar expert" I talked to was just another salesman. I've been price shopping and wanted to know if they price match other companies, but I was told to look elsewhere if I wanted affordable solar panels since Vivint solar panels are "high quality". I asked for a quote anyways but never got it.
Glad I learned firsthand what a chump company Vivint is before I actually got sucked into one of their products.
Got our system turned on 3 months ago, and we had little to no production the whole time. We have been talking to customer service over and over again to try to get it fixed, they schedule to have a technician come, and the then call or reschedule the appointment. Again and again. The one time we did get a technician here, he looked at it and said he couldn't fix it, and they would send someone else. Never happened. The customer service agents have been unhelpful, usually saying there is nothing they can do to help us. I've even had one hang up on me because he was being rude and I told him I wanted to talk to his supervisor. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. I regret signing up with them, and would suggest avoiding them. Most of the reviewers on here are employees, so at least working there is positive.
Worst Customer Service on the Planet. This review is solely on Vivint Solar's customer service. We leased solar panels from Vivint Solar. In mid-August, Vivint was notified of the pending sale of our home and that the buyers would assume the lease. An Assumption Agreement was sent to us and the buyers. No one from the Vivint Transfers department or the title company took responsibility for making sure the Assumption Agreement was signed at the time of closing on August 24. Three weeks later we started receiving emails from Vivint stating that our account was past due. That's because the buyers never signed and returned the Assumption Agreement. Vivint didn't follow up with the buyers until September 10. After numerous, very lengthy calls with the Transfers department the buyers finally returned the Assumption Agreement. Vivint's call center is handled by people in the Philippines. Besides the fact that their accent makes them hard to understand, they do not seem to have the knowledge or authority to resolve any issues without having to constantly put the customer on hold so they can consult with "the team leaders." Very frequently, I was given incomplete or incorrect information because the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. At one point a representative told me that the transfer issue was closed because the buyer had failed to respond ,and we were still financially responsible for the lease! Because we were still on the hook for the lease, we made a payment to bring the account current even though we no longer owned the property. When asked if that payment would be refunded, I was told no, because the buyers hadn't signed the Assumption Agreement until September 16 and so they weren't responsible. Incredible. We will NEVER do business with Vivint again and we would never recommend anyone doing business with them. I would give them negative stars if that were possible.
I would love to get vivint solar one day. I love how much money you can save with solar. I've heard so many good things about Vivint Solar and I would love to have a company I can depend on for my home.
My panels have been on my roof for two months and they are still not functioning. I keep being told 30 day from this and 30 day from this, but two months later and I still don t have working panels and now I m paying my loan payments and my power bill. I was told this would not happen. I was told after installation it would be a maximum of 30 days before Rocky Mountain would come and install my new meter. After 30 days still nothing and then all the sudden they need my signature on something before Rocky Mountain will come out. Why wasn t this sent after the panels were installed?? I then it took a week for them to send the stupid document to sign!! After that I was told another 30 days before Rocky Mountain would be our. Now a month later I haven t heard anything and no one is responding to my emails. I also have Vivint home security and I will be canceling when my contract is up next year. This is ridiculous!
We haven't moved forward as of yet. But Paul was very informational and professional about products and services offered through Vivint. I will definitely spread the word about the great customer service and wonderful experience I had speaking with Paul!
Worst customer service i have ever experienced. Brandon Nelson was the person I spoke with and he could not have been more condescending and not willing to help. Would not transfer me to a manager and ignored me for a while. I will refer people to any other company but not Vivint.
I just want to say that a was a little skeptical about vivint after reading some of the reviews on line. I have a cousin in California who said they have it and they love it. Amy Jeffries is amazing. She is so informative and knowledgable and could answer every question we had for her and my husband had plenty. We decided to have it installed. AMAZING. every step of the way I knew where we were and how things were going. The day of the install the workman and everyone was so nice and friendly, efficient etc. When the job was completed they cleaned up so good you couldn't even tell I had workman there- unlike other companies I've dealt with. I would HIGHLY recommend Vivint/Go Solar to everyone. Besides the fact of being better for the environment who doesn't want to save on their power bill. Certainly the 500.00 a year savings on my bill will be better spent somewhere else! Everyone who can should Go Solar!
Total scam. Have had solar installed since June and it still isn t connected. We were told the process would take 60 days and have received no further information.
My husband and I had the inspection done and applied for interconnection all they need to do it finish the process or give us the information and they will not respond with an appropriate answer, they just say they are working on it.
We have filed bbb complaints and finally a complaint with the state attorney general.
Our salesman Paul F. was prompt to our appointment. He was very knowledgeable about Vivint Solar and took the time to answer all of our questions. I would definitely have him talk to our family and friends.
We just had the system installed yesterday so I can t review the performance yet. However, based on the installers who did the work we were very satisfied. They communicated what they would be doing, cleaned up everything before they left and were very nice and professional. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because we felt a little left out of the loop during the planning/permitting process.
So far we've been very pleased with Vivint Solar. Our rep Jaden has been very helpful. Our installation was very smooth and looks great! We are excited to start saving money on our energy bills!
We have loved working with Vivint! Each phase has gone smoothly and all of our questions were answered. We worked with Roger and Rico specifically and they are both great! Very respectful and helpful. I love that Rocky Mountain Power is sending ME a check back because our solar is taking care of all our electric needs.
Not impressed. I called vivent solar for info and they set up an appointment for a rep to come out. He never showed. I called to see what was going on and was assured I would be contacted by a manager and they would take care of me. That never happened either. I called again this morning, was reassured a district manager would reach out to me. The rep that stood us up called me, Kade Hansen instead. He is very unprofessional. doesn't answer texts, keeps asking who I am when I call and has an attitude like he doesn't need my business. Well congrats and I hope it works well for you. Don't bother
Do NOT get wrapped up with Vivant Solar. They have breached my contract and refuse to obey the contract by termination and removal. It s IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone who knows what to do. My system has been offline for over 7 months and the won t do anything. Jacob Burdge is a ghost, he s supposed to help but once you show him that they broke contract he disappears. This company is unprofessional and a scam. I pay less in utilities now that these panels aren t working. AND now I have squirrels living in them and going into my attic. I have no trees. Theyre only there because Vivant NEVER CAME TO REPAIR MY SYSTEM AND INSTILL ANIMAL GUARDS.
I ordered and paid for animal guards back in July. In September they came to install but had the wrong ones. They checked the solar panels and the wires were chewed by the squirrel that had a nest on the roof. We cleaned out the nest each time they were suppose to come. They removed all solar panels to be rewired. Here it is the end of January and I have no animal guards and no solar panels. Unbelievable! What type of company is this? Over 6 months for animal guards! They don t have a clue about what is going on.
Very disappointed with the expected activation time. System is fully installed and now I have to wait approximately 11 weeks to activate it. Vivint did not tell me this before I signed. Very disappointed. Will not be referring friends to Vivint unless they fix this issue.
I have never felt so strongly against a company than I have with Vivint Solar. I have never written a bad review in my life, but I feel obligated to warn others of this dishonest company and sales person Tad Thueson. He flat out lied about many aspects of the contract. If he had been truthful I would have never signed anything with this company. Company reps have been disrespectful and do not call you back when promised. There is a Severe lack of communication between all departments within this company, so when someone calls to complain they state that "their" department doesn't handle that particular problem, and transfer you elsewhere, only to leave a message and never have a phone call returned. I would rather have a coal fired power plant in my backyard than do any kind of business with Vivint Solar. Beware!
This has been a great way to save money on our electric bill. Jason did a great job explaining the program and he was even able to explain it to my husband in Spanish. We didn't pay anything and save money each month on our bill. I was worried at first because of what I had heard about solar before, this program is different and I'm glad we did it!
Everything has been great, it hasn't been inspected yet but from the salesman and install they have been awesome to work with. Very knowledgeable and willing to make sure you're happy.
Arrived on time, exceptionally well organized & safety conscious. Put up orange delineators & safety tape to indicate work areas around my home. Efficient as they worked all day to complete installation in approximately 11hours from start to cleanup. Gave me next step information at completion of installation. Won t know how system works to reduce energy costs until after inspections are completed but am very pleased with the appearance of the panels on my roof. Every step of the process with Vivent solar has been smooth an efficient, handled by courteous & well informed staff. I m a very satisfied customer at this point.
I've had Vivint internet for a while which had been great. The wife and I have been taking about getting solar for a few years now. After talking to to Vivint about the details of how everything will work, while not 100% ideal such as if the power goes out. There no way to maintain power using the solar panels Skip forward about 2 months the installation finally took place. Still have a couple of more months waiting for inspections and the go ahead from Rocky mountain power. But the installers showed up they were very professional. They say about 4-8 hours, they were done in 4. 31 panels installed, and they did a very professional install. All the equipment looks awesome. I can't wait until I no longer have to pay Rocky mountain a huge bill each month, Everyone we've worked with at Vivint have all been awesome to work with. If you've ever wanted solar panels, talk to Vivint! It doesn't cost anything to find out how many panels and how effective they will be. And work out all the details. And if you change your mind you can cancel anytime up until the installation takes place.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. They say they'll monitor your system... they say they will repair your system for a determined amount of time.... Well my system went down, and nothing was said, and nothing had been repaired in 2 months.. not even a repair date has been set. You pay extra for this service but once they have your money they run. DO NOT BUY HERE. Half of the reviews here are from employee's. That alone should tell you something is up..
It appears that the job the technicians is super. They were friendly, efficient, and answered all the questions we asked them in a very professional way. They caused no problems or disruptions to our usual routine. Those guys are real professionals.
We had a very positive experience with Vivint Solar. Brock Morrison did an excellent job with keeping us informed and getting the solar panels installed. He is very personal and professional and we enjoyed working with him. There was a delay of the installation because of various reasons, but eventually everything worked out fine. We are extremely satisfied with the productivity of the solar panels. We have had $9 monthly electricity bills ever since the panels got 'turned on.'
Horrible Horrible service. DO NOT GO WITH THEM. I regret getting a solar system from them. I wish I can get my money back and get the whole system taking off and go with somebody else. They are supposedly monitoring the production, but I'm the who has to monitor and call all the time for production not being recorded. And the insulation was a joke along with the engineer team. I sent e-mails and phone calls to make everything right before I write reviews, but they didn't, so here it is. Here is part of the e-mail I sent to them. " I thought since Vivint is a national company, the standard would be high. As I mentioned, the people didn't show up at the scheduled time., changing at the last minute, coming unannounced the next day, leaving a mess behind, leaving the garage door wide open. Even after complaining, you simply just mentioned that the person was not at the Vivint's standard and was terminated. But we still had a mess to deal with, and we didn't have anybody come by to clean the mess. The electrical issues as well. We upgraded the system accordingly, but there were so many back and forth on whether it was enough or not. I had to get my electrician involved. He had to use his own personal time to research, reach out to people to confirm his thinking was correct. and Vivint coming back at the end to say it was all ok to start with." They questioned my electrician's work. his integrity and his profession, giving us headaches and worries. All this happened while I lived in abroad. I don't wish anybody to go through the headaches that I had to go through especially when you are trying to do good by going solar. I hope you go with different company than Vivint when it comes to Solar.
Easy to contact and explain all process throughly. Rico very knowledgeable and helpful. Keeps you well informed and makes it easy. Less than a month and have the panels installed .very timely.
Working with Vivint so far has been very easy. Mind you, I'm only past the construction phase so inspections from Vivint, the city, and the electric company are still pending.
My experiences with the representatives have been good from my account rep, Eric, to the install crew lead by Eduardo. They've been attentive and mindful and kept things on track. So far, based on their customer service, I would recommend Vivint.
I like Evelar best in Utah with Dave Ramsey supporting them. ALthough Elon Musk just bought Solar City with the solar shingles coming out... Elon Musk will always have my money. Everything he does is to better humanity so you know none of the shady nonsense goes on with his companies... like PayPal and spacex and Telsa Cars and soon to be the super tunnel haha... Vivint ownership has a shady rough past soooo... I just don't know with them after my alarm fiasco. Sales guy was very pushy but you expect that, a lot of fine print and things he should have told me.upfront.
I like working here. They provide a meal for you everyday and the aesthetics are very nice and have a good modern vibe to it. Great Coworkers to be with. My only qualm is that management can be a little over bearing when they make changes. Otherwise I enjoy working here.
We are super excited to be Vivint Solar customers! It was an absolute pleasure to work with Amy. She is knowledgeable and so friendly. The process was painless and installation was easy. The installation crew was friendly, quick, detail-oriented and professional.
