This has been the most stressful experience working with UrbanBound. I have to use this company to manage my relocation package and it turns out I have to do the work they re being paid to do. I wish so desperately that I could ve handled this on my own. My relocation consultant was on vacation with no notice and now I m forced to pay higher rates as we are approaching my moving date/ start date.

They failed to communicate between us (their customers) and pods company. We had to call pods directly and aggressively and constantly call the urban bound rep just see where we were in the process. As a result, it is too late to use the PODS company.
UrbanBound and Sarah held our hand through an interstate move that had a lot of moving parts over the holidays. Our move could not have gone better! Sarah was calm and patient when we were not necessarily on our best behavior! ;) I would use them again in a heartbeat!

Urban Bound was a great service that helped me out with my move from Baltimore to Memphis. They were a big help in covering some costs that weren't outlined in the benefits. They also covered our AirBnb expenses for our long drive to Memphis. When you're moving a lot of little things add up to cost a lot, so having some financial help was great. They're very easy to work with and very easy to submit your expenses for reimbursement. Everything moved very quickly and efficiently.
UrbandBound was the relocation handler for my recent job change. I got an introductory e-mail followed by a phone call. All my questions associated with the relocation were answered (moving household belongings through U-Haul, storage duration/fees, temporary travel to scout rentals with my wife, use of short-term housing, existing lease break fee reimbursement, etc). In addition, my relocation specialist was available for follow-up phone calls, and was very responsive with e-mail queries. I wouldn't hesitate to work with UrbanBound again in the future. UrbanBound is AMAZING. They have made numerous of extremely helpful resources available to me have also been super helpful throughout this move. I have learned so much from their resources and it has helped me adapt to my new location very easily. I was a bit confused about my relocation budget plan at first, but when I had a call with one of the UrbanBounds consultants (Jovie) in 5 minutes she was able to explain to me everything I needed, and gave me the clarity to understand everything. Truly an amazing company and they're sooo helpful.
Two days into this and it's the most miserable moving experience ever. Rep is urging me to use companies that are double the cost of my relocation allowance. I asked her to just book U-haul for me and she sent a low effort email to a generic email address and immediately went unresponsive. I will be urging my employer to use a different system for their new hires.

I accepted a job offer and had to relocate out of state on fairly short notice (2.5 weeks). My wife and I were in the process of selling our house, packing, and finding her a job in our new city. UrbanBound was able to assist us with booking a hotel during an apartment hunting trip on short notice. But more importantly, they were able to book a moving company that worked with our short deadline and transported everything in our home on a scheduled date. Working with UrbanBound took a lot of pressure and anxiety off of my wife and I, as we had plenty of other things happening at once. I also received constant and timely correspondence with the UrbanBound team before, during, and after our move. I don't have any intention on moving states away again anytime soon, but I wouldn't hesitate to use UrbanBound again in a heartbeat. I didn't have the chance to use half of the services that they offer, but I strongly encourage anyone that is moving to check them out!
UrbanBound really made my relocation less stressful, and working with a consultant was very helpful! They make sure all your needs are covered, and the platform is user friendly and you can keep track of your planned expenses and what is the budget for each variable. Very unimpressed so far! I ve spoken with my specialist/consultant one time. The only support I ve received is an email for moving estimates, which I still do not have over a week later and is something I could have done myself. This has been the most stressful move I ve ever had! At this point I hope I have a place to live and my belongings by Aug 1st. If my company didn t require that I use this service, I wouldn t do so. They are a complete waste of money.

I had such a great experience with UrbanBound! They lay everything about your move out so simply and take care of everything! The moving companies they work with are just as helpful and communicative. Never missed a beat, got everything where it needed to be on time and in perfect condition, and made me feel so taken care of. I especially loved being able to just upload my receipts and submit expenses and have them take care of the rest when it came to managing my moving budget.

If relocations were so simple and fun as UrbanBound makes it.. I suggest everyone relocate atleast once a year! They handled everything and took care of my move from TX to LA with such ease. I'm so glad my company uses their services. They are quick to respond and manage everything for you. All you gotta do is make set your watches to correct time zone.
With one and a half weeks left until my move, I still have had almost zero useful responses and have gotten to use almost zero of my relocation bonus. I got one quote from the company they use for 3x my bonus amount, and they've gone unresponsive since then. If my company didn't use this company I wouldn't either. I will be pleading with my employer to use a different company from here out.

UrbanBound is not a service you should use unless your employer is requiring you to. They are unbelievably slow and at times, completely unresponsive. They have to approve every single decision you make for your move even if it s within the your relocation budget provided by your employer. The movers they contract with were hired to do a complete move. And instead they did half the job and didn t even assist with moving the boxes into the apartment I was moving into. If you want to stress out more and pull your hair out during your move- definitely pick UrbanBound!

The only issue I ran into was with Uhaul, which sadly was never resolved and really screwed up my move when they wouldn't abide by the guaranteed delivery date of my goods and continually lied to me. Perhaps if I had gone through Uhaul corporate to set up my move it would have been better, but unfortunately I was encouraged to do it myself and file for reimbursement instead. Don't do that - rearrange other receipts if need be, but do not set up Uhaul yourself (or don't use them at all, if possible).

So far - so shabby! We have to use this service in order to recoup some of our relocation expenses. To date - we have done nothing but phone tag with our assigned 'specialist'. She has been on vacation - doesn't tell any of us - I wouldn't have known if I hadn't called her again and again. (which I HATE to do). She missed a lot of scheduled appointments - that is just plain inconsiderate. Today, when she missed another scheduled appointment, I wrote her a note inviting her to meet early next week, only to find out she is no longer with them. This experience could be tempered if the resources they provided were actually useful. I guess if I didn't know anything about where we are moving, the generic information that could be combed from reading a few websites might be handy, but thus far, I have found the data to be outdated and I have better resources available to me via FB than their site. Here's hoping the employer version of this service is better than the customer-user experience.
I had a wonderful experience with UrbanBound when I relocated from Sacramento California to Burlington Vermont. I had a personal advisor through the process who would regularly check-in by email. The website is very user friendly. I'm very happy that UrbanBound was there to help.
