I am now certified to be an emt and I must say I couldn t do it with out Karen. She really produced good material and did a great job explaining it. Mo was also another great help, together they both pushed me and gave me that drive to accomplish what I set out to do and I m truly great full.

I had a great experience at ECP. Moshe Hainic was an amazing instructor and all the staff was amazing as well. Moshe will make sure you have all the tools to succeed and pass. I highly recommend ECP and Moshe s class.
Pros-patient, fun, and knowledagable staff that never lead a boring class; honorable mentions: Jason, Michele, Peter, and Cosmo. The 50 Sheffield Avenue facility is clean, well-lit, and comfortable in all kinds of weather.
Con-The tremendous amount of reading assigned between each class can become overwhelming. Once you fall behind on the reading, it is extremely difficult to catch up and even more difficult to carefully and thoroughly review the reading material. Struggling to complete and review the reading assignments would be understandable if most of the reading material featured in the final exam, but my final exam did not test me on a lot of the reading material that I spent entire nights awake to try to complete, which, needless to say, is incredibly frustrating, especially because that time and effort would have been better spent reading and reviewing material that prominently featured in the final exam, which possibly would have improved my final exam score. Although instructors cannot be reasonably expected to accurately predict exactly what will be tested on the final exam, if the instructors could somehow decrease the reading workload to focus more on the subjects and topics that typically prominently feature in the final exam, students who would otherwise possibly struggle to catch up to or stay up to date with the reading assignments wouldn't have to struggle as much or at all and would have more time and energy to review and study more often. In short, the EMT training program can benefit from "trimming the fat" off its total reading workload.
I chose to take the accelerated course this summer and went in nervous, doubting my decision. I can say that over the course, I improved on many fronts. I went in glad that I stuck it out. Karen Fiorello was by far the most amazing and memorable teacher I ve had. The other instructors that joined us (Chris, Luc, Amanda, Moon, Shirley, Juan, and others) were incredible. Not only did I love this class and learn a lot, I left feeling like I had another family. Because of Karen s teaching style, the class grew close. Best experience at ECP!
Took an accelerated course (1 month duration) and Karen was my instructor. GREATEST INSTRUCTOR AND PERSON EVERRR!!!!!!! Karen is amazing! She's experienced, teaches very well, explains very well and is very understanding. She's tough but nice at the same time when she needs to be. She knows how to keep an intensive EMT class with over 65 individuals under control and she really sincerely wants you to understand. Stops lectures to answer questions, even the ridiculous "what if" scenario questions but really wants everyone to feel comfortable with the material and understand the context. She's a trooper for all the work that she does! You won't find a better person on this planet and you will PASS 100% guaranteed on the condition that you try hard, not give up and DO EVERYTHING THAT SHE SAYS TO DO! All you have to do is respect her and follow all of her simple and easy directions/tasks and you are good to go! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her! Moe (Moshe) also helped a lot! ECP in general is amazing. Everyone truly respects you and just want the best for you and try to help out in any way possible. Everyone was caring and respectful and you will really feel comfortable to go up to any instructor to ask a question because they will really stop and give you their full attention and help you out, the best that they can. You have the best most informative and experienced instructors there so if you want to be a skilled and knowledgeable EMT and become one of the best then THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO, GUARANTEED!
Karen is a great teacher and a great person. I never had a teacher go the extra mile like Karen has, I Had a great expierence and learned a lot. I doubt I could ve done it without Karen as the teacher.
Being at ECP has inspired me to pursue my dreams and help save many lives. I had the pleasure of having Karen Fiorello and a lot others as my instructors and they re the best I could ask for. They re there to help whenever you need it and as much as you need it. They make sure that you know how it feels to be on the field, what you have to do and definitely make sure that you MAKE SURE that YOUR SCENE IS SAFE . This has been the best experience and I m happy I m a part of the EMS family. Karen also gives you the opportunity to become an instructor and help others as well as they helped you.
ECP is great & highly recommend, I took the class w. Karen Fiorello and she is the BEST,she loves teaching &she loves helping as long as she sees you trying and willing to learn. STUDY STUDY...They OFFER TUTORING Incase you need extra help during the course .. this experience was FUN , AMAZING & I LEARN ALOT ! The instructors are always there to support & encourage us to do our best and prepare us very very well for the exams . . A BIG THANK YOU TO KAREN . You help me a lot & I forever be thankful for all the stuff I know now . Class 4925
This course was very well done. As long as you put in the work everyone wiall help you out and make sure they do everything they can to help you learn. All the instructors were very informative and happy to help. :)
Tuition comes with textbook, online code, stethoscope, and blood pressure cuffs. I took the 2 days/week class during the summer (June-August). It s run very well and very professionally. Lead and assistant instructors always kept everyone on track. They mandated a dress code which is great- I didn t have to look at anyone s asscrack/cleavage or deal with students being inappropriate during class time. Lectures and practical skill days were spaced efficiently so I didn t feel overwhelmed. Lectures were designed to give the most important informations relevant to EMT duties and NREMT tests; very no-nonsense. We were given ample time to practice our skills as well. Karen, my lead instructor, was always available to answer additional questions after class. Assistant instructors were also always available during class time to provide real-life tips of the trade. I would absolutely recommend this program for anyone who s serious about learning. That being said, please read below:
THIS IS AN INTENSIVE CLASS! READ YOUR CONTRACT/CLASS PAMPHLET! Background of biology really helps. You must pass all tests and do all the homework assignments in order to qualify for the national exam. If you miss class, you get slammed with more homework- so don t miss class! Fail too many tests or miss too many days/assignments, you will be asked to drop out. This is NOT your regular high school/college class. You must treat classwork/homework like your future EMT duties. Environment of the class reflects future EMT work, which is often stressful both physically and mentally (getting the work done/ the patient relies on you- too tired is no excuse!) If you struggle to pick up things quick or have no background in science, I would recommend taking a less intensive class from this program. My class met for approx. 7 hours a day. They do have classes that meet for shorter periods that would allow more time to retain information. Ask for Karen s class! She s the best! She s one of the instructors who work hard irregardless of her own personal stress.
Terrible! Please read before you take this program. I have passed this course only because I alone put in effort and studied for everything myself. Yes Instructors did answer every question as they should, but every instructor gave a different answer to the same question. They kept confusing us with the protocols even though the BOOK which THEY gave us always said different. That is why their rating is still 4.8 stars. Take B and H if you can at least they have a 5.0 star rating. Hope this helps :)
I had Karen as my instructor and she is beyond amazing, She offers very clear and detailed knowledge of the information required for BLS . I would highly recommend this course and her to anyone interested in BLS courses.
Instructor was Karen and she makes sure you re ready to pass. Provides personally made reviews to the class and is available as close to 24/7 as she can get
Very good place I recommend it for anyone planning to become a EMT the instructors are very experienced and professional I finished the course and actually knew the material.
Karen is the best. She really go her ways to help you understand and help you get the help you need. Thanks to all the instructors for helping out and making the class bit fun! :)
Ps. If you want reviews and test prep, DO YOUR PART!
Awesome teachers that really know the material. I cannot recommend this place enough. If your looking for an affordable EMT course with top notch instructor's (Jonathan Sherman) look no further.
If you are taking a course at ECP make shore you get MOSHE HAINIC as your instructor. He is the best instructor you can get he treats you like family you can t ask for anything better
I had an overall positive experience at ECP. Instructors were cool and I learned a lot. Ultimately passed the state exam and I would recommend ECP to anyone looking at becoming an EMT.
I took this class with Karen as my instructor and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this program. There is a lot to the curriculum and the material can get tricky but Karen made everything easy and enjoyable to grasp. I highly recommend taking this course with Karen or Moshe. Overall everyone I encountered here was wonderful and pleasant to work with.
I just took the EMT refresher with ECP. We had very knowledgeable instructors and they gave us some very helpful information in protocols and their applications in the field. The instructors have lots of experience teaching and on the streets so they really make it an enjoyable class. You will still have to study! SAVE A LIFE!
Could not have asked for better instruction from Karen and her instructors. They really go the extra mile to make sure you are well prepared for the state test and real-life EMS work. Highly recommend!
I took the program with Karen, and she is hands down one of the best instructors I have ever had. She puts in more than 110% to ensure that she can be reached, and that she can help you. She covers all the material thoroughly, is always there if you have a question, and really puts in every possible effort to get her students to do well. She works exceptionally hard to make sure her class does more than "just pass."
The course is a lot of work. Which is reasonable, given the role of an EMT. And Karen is strict, but she is nowhere near unreasonable. Her expectations of her students is to do what they have to do, meaning handing in assignments on time, being on time and keeping up with the material. And that really does make all that she does that much more impressive. The amount of work she puts into teaching her students and ensuring their success is much much more than what she is asking for in return.
The instructors she brings for practical skills day are also all amazing. They are approachable, funny, knowledgeable and equally as driven as Karen to make sure that the students complete the course and become quality EMT's. And they all do more than just teach the skills. They give tips and they provide a lot of insight into the things we might encounter in the field.
And last, but certainly not least, there is Moshe. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and despite not being the instructor for my course, he was always there to answer a question. From the instructions I received from him, he would also rank up their as one of the best.
I highly recommend the program to everyone that is serious about becoming and EMT, and willing to put in the work needed to succeed. Even with the wonderful instruction provided, a lot of effort, studying and practicing is needed. However, everyone here definitely gives the students every possible resource they need to succeed, and provide a wonderful and fun environment while doing so. Try to get into Karen or Moshe's class.
I would not consider great to be adequate in describing my experience here. I rather say phenomenal. The people here are extraordinaire and caring when it comes to teaching you. I would like to take this moment to give a big shout out to my class #5015, which was filled with so many nice and wonderful people, and even a bigger shout out to those who taught me. Thank You All! Moshe, Daniel, Chris, Yitzie, Annie, Olga, Luke, Matt, and Jake are all wonderful instructors, and I am thankful for their time, patience, and diligence in educating me. However, I saved the best for last, the real, true MVP was my main instructor Karen. She is a kind and thoughtful person, who does not teach for money, but because she really enjoys enlightening her students. All of the instructors make the environment a fun place to learn and make it so comfortable that at times you may even forget that you're actually in class. They all treat you like family and are always eager to answer any questions you may have. I even had the confidence to ask Karen a personal question of mine, since I knew she was an officer and a volunteer at the fire department in addition to being an instructor, and she gave me great advice and her wisdom in regards to my personal question. However, don't expect this course to be easy if you decide to be in a torpid state and refuse to read, study, and practice. This class can be easy or hard depending on your effort. Remember, teachers, professors, and instructors don't ever give you a grade. You, the students, are the ones who earn your grade. Nevertheless, Karen lives by a special code of hers: "Failure is not an option." She will make sure you do fantastic in this class. She would even go as far as going out of her way to help you and make sure you do well. If your instructors ever get mad, which I hardly doubt that they ever will, it means that they're angry because they really want you to succeed. You will meet classmates that you will be working with, and they will also help you in studying and even showing you alternate ways in doing certain procedures or better techniques that you can use in your practicals, such as a better technique in getting and listening to a blood pressure. Yet, like I said, you still have to read, study, and practice. Even though no human will ever reach a state of perfection, these instructors design you to become the best that you can be; they bring out the best in their students. Furthermore, practice does make perfect. They give you so many resources that you can use to study and practice. They teach you from the book and give you so much knowledge. In addition, they even give you real life examples, and many of the instructors are working EMTs. I would say it's your best bet to take this exquisite course. If you decide to take this course, you will live life to the fullest. Keeping it 100%, I met wonderful people, enjoyed, and had fun in this class. You too will meet wonderful people, enjoy, and have fun in this class as well. I am sincerely grateful for this course, and it truly was a pleasure. Yolo, you only live once, why not have not fun while learning. Keep in mind, as an alumnus, I decided to abundantly write with truest sincerity about this course. You guys should take a hint: it was phenomenal. I am JC from NYC, and I approve of this review. Your fellow human being.
I took the accelerated course with Karen this summer and would definitely recommend you take her class! She is an excellent instructor and taught in a way that kept us engaged and we all had fun learning.
I would like to thank everyone at ECP, but especially Karen Fiorello, for a fantastic learning experience! My main instructor Karen made our class feel like family. Karen and our other instructors, Moshe, Lucy, Roo, Matt, and Luke (sorry if I'm forgetting anyone!) created a fun and friendly environment. All of our questions were answered and we were given plenty of time to practice. We even had a mock MCI day!! Everyone that made it through till the end of class passed and I hope we will one day work together in the field!
Stepping into ECP i didn t know what i was getting myself into. The experience was excellent. My course instructor was AMAZING (Karen Fiorello) she shows tuff love and dedication to all her students. Karen has made this experience worth it along with the skill instructors that push you no matter how much you wanna give up shout out to Annie , Richy, Amanda , Moon , Shirley , Matthew & Troy & Chris. These people are the go to if you are trying to succeed in this field. They are pretty tuff but it s only cause they want you to know what your doing once u hit the road. Thank you so much Karen for my new career and the new skills i have learned at ECP. #4819.
Had Karen as an instructor and definitely knows her stuff there was a lot of studying to be done and the exams felt a bit hard but once it came down to the real exam it was a piece of cake, all the proctors were extremely knowledgeable.
My experience in this class with Karen Fiorello as my instructor was much more than anyone pursuing a career in EMS could ask for. Karen, as well as ECP as a school, care about the success and growth of their students more than anything; as promised to all of my classmates and I by Karen on our very first day of class, each and every one of us walked out of the classroom knowing how to save a life.
Highly recommend this program. I had Moshe (aka Mo) as an instructor and I don't think there is anyone better. He is extremely thorough and went above and beyond to help us learn the material. I usually have to go over studying 3-4 times for it to stick, but Mo had helpful tips and hints with each chapter to help memorize and actually learn. When it came time for the tests and more importantly real life situations, I felt prepared. I attribute a lot of it to how we learned how to prep for anything. Thank you Mo!!!
Joining ECP was by far the best experience of my life. I met many wonderful people and learnt skills that enable me to live a better life and help the lives of others. Moshe Hainic was a truly phenomenal instructor who devoted everything he had to my class and I. I am forever grateful.
This class was great, my CIC Karen is an amazing instructor and a wonderful person. She treats us like family and only want's the best for her students. The other instructors are just as great. I would gladly recommend anyone to this course.
I have been in the emergency care program since October and absolutely love it. From the moment I started each and every instructor/director has been helpful and very informative. The instructors are great and do their job very well and professionally. Had there been any moment I was confused or unsure of any material my AWESOME instructor(S) have been there to clarify and explain in the best way possible for me to learn. I am personally a visual learner and learn best when I can see, touch and hear. This course does require reading and book work but don t worry, the instructors will help you every step of the way so that you can learn the material. I love this course and I m very grateful and fortunate to have come across this program. It has given me a new vision on life and the human body. IF YOURE LOOKING FOR CHANGE, THE EMERGENCY CARE PROGRAM IS THE WAY TO GO!!!
I would 100% recommended ECP to anyone looking to become an EMT. I had Karen as my instructor and she is the best. She genuinely wants the best for her students, makes class fun and interesting, and takes care of each and every one of us. Other instructors including Moshe, Luc, Melissa, Annie, Chandler, Richy, Rachel, Irene, Yitzy and Daniel were all great. I had an amazing time at ECP, one of the best learning experiences I've had so far.
Moishe is an incredible man and instructor, he is sharp smart and comes across extremely clear, he is not only your instructor he is your mentor until the end, it is a tremendous pleasure to sit in his class you appreciate every second you sit with him ! Mo keep it up and keep going strong you are the best of the best out there !!
I highly recommended this school! I traveled from New Jersey to Brooklyn just for this class. Karen Fiorello, as well as the other instructors are phenomenal. In such a short period of time I ve learned so much and I couldn t be more grateful! Thanks Karen!
Thank you again ! And Karen and Moe for making sure that everyone stays on tracks. Definitely recommend if your serious about getting into this field of work. I love you guys
I took an intensive course during my college summer break. The instructors were very detail oriented to ensure that each student was getting the proper attention and learning experience. Classes were a lot of fun and hands on, so learning the material came naturally. I highly recommend this program to anybody in search of a legitimate and professional EMT course.
Highly recommend going to this school even though i didn t succeed based on my own academic problems it s a well played out adventure. Ms Karen And Ms Irene Quinn are wonderful people who are charismatic in what they do. If you re passionate about The Medical Field and have a lil bit a New York in you too
I had a tremendous experience at this intuition . My instructor was very strict, however without her I couldn't have accomplish my certificate. She never gave up on us even when we gave up on ourselves. Karen Fiorello is one of the best instructor at ecp. If you are serious about becoming a good emt Karen should definitely be your instructor thank you all for the experience.
Thank you ECP for giving me this opportunity to fulfill my dream of becoming an EMT. Thank you to our head instructor Moshe Hanic, who was always there for the class and I during the whole course. Thank you Moshe for going above and beyond to make sure that We all enjoyed, and learned the material. You treated us as your kids and cared for us and wanted to watch all of us succeed. Moshe, I don t think I would have been able to do this without you and especially all our other instructors, - Antonio, Arman, Lloyd, Chris, Cosmo, Richie and all I forgot, Thank you! As a graduated student from ECP I highly recommend this program.
Instructors were amazing and well knowledged in the material and how to teach it. Honestly came out a different person just from the whole experience. I highly recommend this program to anyone. Help was always available, including tutoring after class. And made great friends in the program. Thank you ECP!
I had an amazing experience with Emergency Care Programs. They are very knowledgeable and very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to start in this field or continue their education.
Karen & her instructors were so helpful. The lessons weren t just out of a textbook she puts so much thought and care into her lessons. Very grateful to have had her as a teacher.
Ecp is the the best learning experience I had they taught me a lot I started when my daughter had cancer it was hard for me but at the end I was the one to save her life they have the best tutors there name Michelle thank you
Karen was my instructor. she is amazing, always ready to help her students. BUT MAKE SURE you do your online assignments, and other stuff required Before due date (get 'em done in the beginning). I highly recommend this course with Karen.
Thank u Moshe for being the greatest instructor Knowledge, patients ,experience, he is got it all What a great guy I had a great experience it was so much fun to be in your class
I would like to thank Emergency Care Program and the instructors for giving me such a wonderful experience. Being a full-time student at CUNY- Queens College in my senior year, engaged in a part-time job, I could have never imagined finishing the EMT-B course without the incredible support from my dear instructors. I am thankful and blessed to have such experienced instructors who have not only devoted their life to save lives in the field but also build up similar figures like them by giving their hundred percent to us. The course was very organized and instructors took great care to make sure that students understood the materials both during lecture and practical. They repeatedly kept us informed about the updated protocols which I believe became the key to crack the state exam. Emergency care program is a complete package and the only place where a student is guided towards the right direction, the right way. I would definitely recommend my friends to join ECP.
I have had the privilege of attending the ECP EMT course in Staten Island in 2014. It took 4-5 months of intense studying and testing to complete the course. The instructor, Louis Cazetta, is a no-nonsense brutally honest veteran in EMS. He guided us through the process of becoming capable EMTs.
After getting certified in December I went on and got hired within a month later at a Private EMS Company. For those who think transport work is only non-emergent, boring, or routine, it is far from that. A few times a week I am responding to "Code 1" emergencies going lights and sirens to emergency calls from nursing or assisted living facilities ranging from chest pain, seizures, falls, psych, and abusive situations.
I have also gotten flagged down on the street for multiple car accidents and have been called upon to do CPR just because we happened to be at the right place at the right time. All in all ECP was where I began my education and has led to towards to a fulfilling career in EMS. I highly recommend ECP to anyone looking to get EMT certified.
I had Eli as an instructor and he was just all around amazing. All of his presentations were very well put together, and anything he explained to the class was extremely through. As for the skills instructors, they also did a really great job at demonstrating all the nesscary skills to complete the course. Especially Ann Marie, who went above and beyond to make sure all the students can perform the skills on an expert level and helped us to memorize each of the nesscessary steps. Her performance in skill demonstrations and creating scenarios was just overall outstanding. I would definitely recommend this course to others who are looking into becoming EMTs and I highly suggest that you try to get Eli as an instructor and Ann Marie as a skills instructor.
My experience with Emergency Care Programs was great. Jonathan was an excellent instructor and he taught us a lot. I passed the state exam and practical and I feel confident going into the field with the skills that I have learned.
It was such a Great experience,Thank you Karen. Couldn t have asked for a better instructor, you re the best...Also thank you to all the skills instructors.
The EMT-B class far exceeded my expectations. Karen was an outstanding instructor and the the other EMTs who helped with the practical sessions were also great. I think Karen's dedication to the profession and her ability to engage the students with a no-nonsense attitude while still being caring and supportive made all the difference in the learning environment. The quick pace of the accelerated course was demanding at times with having other responsibilities, but Karen inspired me to always do my best and I hope I make her proud!
I had a great experience at ECP, all of the instructors were very knowledgeable and professional especially Karen Fiorelli. Karen made sure her students knew their material and were ready to be in the field. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who wants to get into emergency care, 10/10 experience.
I had Karen as an instructor during my time at Emergency Care Programs. She truly wants each and every student to excel and know their stuff. She incorporates her humor into all of her lectures and while emphasizing the critical things you need to know while you re out in the field. Aside from lectures, the other instructors that were present had high expertise in the skills aspect of the course. As a students it really helped because they answered every question and often times challenged you to answer it yourself. Overall great experience and met an awesome group of people along the way.
I recently completed the EMT-B course with Jonathan Sherman and it was a wonderful experience! Jonathan is extremely knowledgeable on the subject material and gives students all the tools they need to succeed. The class was rigorous and all the instructors expect a high level of proficiency from their students but they are kind and fair. I would highly recommend taking this class with Jonathan and his team. Thank you, Jonathan!
Emergency Care Programs on Homestead near Ave U is one of the few private EMT Basic classes in the NYC area. With branches closer to Queens and the Bronx, the acceptable pricing can get you towards that goal of becoming a certified Emergency Medical Technician but, statistically, it s going to take work. Comprised of high school graduates, kids recently done with college, 40-60 hour a week working stiffs, and seasoned people looking for a career change, the seemingly harmless and straightforward curriculum can quickly chew you up and devour your money if you fail to put up the effort. Think of the directions, syllabus, and exams as all tests of your maturity. Can you correctly fill out the admission paperwork? Can you make a doctor s appointment on your own and ensure you have the right vaccinations? Can you find the time to read the book and take notes on what is important and glance over the menial details? Will you study, just a little, for the straightforward but baby MCAT style questions? One of the more vicious but understandable policies ECP has is that failure at a milestone is failure of the course, which you can take again for a slight discount. And boy did people drop out at every milestone. Milestones, in general, are:
1. CPR exam and practical 2. Small exams averaging a 70 overall 3. Failure to do the emergency room practical (8-12 hours of your own time, on a single day) 4. Final exam meeting at least a 70 and averaging 70 overall
The curriculum is interesting and covers a huge array of topics. Reading the book is essential to confidently pass and not all material is summarized in the power point slides or lecture. Speaking of which, Fred was the primary lecturer and has been a mainstay of the NYC community for many years. Sure his jokes are corny, he is a little bit crazy, and he fits (and laughs about) the Jewish stereotype to a T. Occasionally he lacks the professionalism expected at the collegiate or business level but he does teach in an excellent manner: no matter the level of your initial understanding, his many years of experience allows him to transform the information into a way you can understand and no willing student will be left behind. The downside is that the academically stronger kids might be a little bored but that s it; Fred can quickly ramp up the level of discussion to the doctoral level if the braniacs wanted to pick his brain. Other instructors, some still active EMTs, are a mixed bag but all bring a different perspective to the written in stone protocol. A caveat: as most emergency professionals will tell you, the book can t prepare you for all situations, instinct is important, but you must learn from the book. Whenever an instructor deviates from the book you should bring it up and look for agreement; if there is still a disagreement, take both sources with a grain of salt. The largest downfall to ECP is the less than optimal training aides. It s almost a fly by night operation, tucked into the basement of a Yeshiva. There are frequent audio visual issues, CPR dummies are not pristine, suction machines are dinosaurs and barely work. Given the throughput of ECP and how much emphasis there is on practical learning it is not surprising that they don t have the newest and fanciest stuff. Another large downside is that ECP does not arrange for ambulance rides due to student issues in the past and so you will complete EMT certification without having ever stepped into an ambulance. The upside to this is that almost every EMT group has their own indoctrination process to get you familiar with their gear and local protocols.
In short, Emergency Care Programs EMT B class is an adult learning program with flare-ups of child tantrums and JV team antics but is a vital step in the process that will teach you something you didn t know.
I took the EMT course with ECP, Great instructors. Always there to assist in any questions regarding the course. Always available in or outside the class. I would definetly recommend this program to anyone the wants to become an EMT.
I got no words this is the best school out there with our instructor Eli there is no way you will not pass this is the school if you want to learn and get educated to anyone if you are looking for a school and a job this is the place
Had an incredible experience here at ECP. Karen is the best teacher there. She knows her stuff and really cares about all her students. She ll help prepare you for the field as long as you put 110% effort in it. Her motto in her class Failure is not an option . Her passing rate is 100% and it s 1000% true. If you re deciding to start your medical career at ECP, make sure you take Karen s class. You ll definitely be in good hands. #Class4836
I took my EMT class this past winter at ECP bay parkway with Fred as my instructor. I can honestly say that Fred and all the other instructors helped me more than any one else. I come from a family of EMT's. My brother, father, grandfather, uncles, and aunt were or still are EMT's at one point in their lives. Even with the help I received from them I still couldn't have done it without ECP. ECP offers free tutoring to their students 2 times a week and you can tell that the instructors really want you to excel. I was super nervous when it came to the day of my state exam but it wasn't because I didn't feel like I knew the material, it was more that I didn't want to get the lowest grade in my family. It turned out my fears were unfounded because I actually got the highest grade thanks to ECP! Now I can proudly introduce my self as Allan Pearlman, New York State EMT Thanks ECP!
You get what you put into the course. If you do the work and study, you will be successful. Instructors are helpful and very knowledgable and stress the importance of good, compassionate, and effective patient care.
Great program that left me feeling 100% prepared not only for the NYS exam but for a future as an EMT. Extremely lucky to have Jonathan Sherman as my instructor at the Bronx/Manhattan location.
My main instructor was Karen. All I have to say about Karen is that she really cares about everyone and wants people to be the best emt they can be. She puts in 110% into every lesson and class. All the instructors overall are great.
Amazing learning environment. My instructor was Karen and she is amazing. Her slides have everything you need to know. Moshe is also an incredible person, checks up on you and makes sure you stay on the right track. The rest of the instructors are very helpful when it comes to the practicals. They make sure you have the knowledge and are able to do everything you need to do. I would highly recommend this program when getting your emt license
I would definitely recommend this class. I took the accelerated course with Karen Fiorello this summer and it was a great decision. It was a nurturing learning environment and the instructors did a perfect job providing knowledge and guidance. You should choose this program before any others if you are on the fence.
Great learning environment the instructors are very nice and take their time to show you and help you do the skills right and Karen finessed the online lectures during this pandemic.
I was currently taking a class there my instructor wasn't the best. Yosef Travis was not fair to his students his teaching skills were horrible. He did not give enough time for us to study for an exam. He would tell the class the shut up and that's very unprofessional. He gives us a review sheet two days before an exam to study. I emailed the office to let them know I would not be attending this class anymore and I never got a response. I finally called and spoke to a women name Leah she was very rude and nasty over the phone. She kept talking over me and would not listen to what I had to say. All she was concern and yelling over the phone saying that I owe money which was a lie because I paid for everything. They don't let you take exams if your missing a payment it could be a dollar off and they still would not let you take it. It seems like they care more about the money then actually helping people out.
Thank you!!! Thank you!!!! I was at wits end couldn't find work forever, a friend recommended this place and I somehow scrambled to pay for it (was reasonable but difficult when you don't even have bus fare) the best I move I ever made!!!!! My first interview after completion of course and I was hired... now I have a weekly paycheck and even more satisfying is knowing that I make a difference in people's lives on almost a daily basis. Best career move ever. Thank you to my instructor (dunno if I can mention your name here) for your patience with me.
I Loved The Class, Instructors Were Awesome each & everyone were so helpful started by Eli the Lead Instructor and all The Practical skills instructors.... Keep Up! Class # 44W!

I took the EMT-B class in spring 2019, with Jonathan Sherman as the lead instructor. It wasn't an easy class; lot of materials to know in a short time. However, Jonathan and the assisting instructors did put a lot of effort into helping us succeed. The practical videos were very helpful. Highly recommended. Thanks Jonathan and ECP staff (Bruce, Mike, Lily, Alice, and many more )
Karen was an awesome instructor. She has alot of patience for her students. She is very devoted to her job and she makes sure that failure isnt an option. Love you karen
Having Karen Fiorello as your lead instructor is a must! Very organized class with lectures and exams schedules laid out. Lectures were informative and in class practicals gave hands on experience.
Your office staff was very responsive to my scheduling needs. I had a cancellation and you were right there helping me reschedule without any complaints or difficulty.
I had Karen as a instructor, and she is the best. I was in a accelerated class, she made it easy and we breezed through the material. She knows how to present the material so it s easy to understand. She wants you to pass the course and save lives. She s caring and passionate as an instructor, you will not find a better instructor to teach you this material.
