So after I spent nearly 3K and purchasing every bell and whistle I could get- sitting on hold numerous times only to be disconnected - WAITNG and WAITING for my desk to be delivered ( when I 1st ordered it - they told me it was in stock and it would ship within ONE business day) it took a week to ship. Then the shipping company was supposed to deliver it ( it is STILL not here) I have disassembled my office and reassembled in in hopes that it would show up) twice!!! I sat on the CHAT from # 126 to number 1 and then got disconnected to not speak to someone 4 times. I have to think that MAYBE this company is a JOKE. My desk was ordered and paid for IN FULL on 2.3.. I have not heard from ONE PERSON from this company. I could have bought from AMAZON and gotten better service -but everyone I spoke too said you all were the best. YA RIGHT. I am certain if my desk ever shows up it will probably not come in one piece or certainly be in shambles. Especially since the company who is supposed to deliver it said today " the truck broke down"...
You may be the best.. but your customer service and shipping company is the ABSOLUTE WORST.. If I treated my customers like you did, we would not have any. I would NOT recommend you.. REMEMEBER - people pay for 1st impressions and VALUE - I have yet to experience any of that.. and I do not even have my desk yet and I am this upset.. wait until it shows up and is trashed.. I am certain it will not be pretty!

Ask about Shipping Times! I was sent 3 large boxes within a week of ordering, BUT told my desktop would not ship for 5 weeks. I'm not a warehouse!
@Uplift Desk - Ship the product I ordered once it's complete not in pieces over 2 months, be upfront about your product fulfillment practices. It's equivalent to selling me a car, then sending me everything but the engine and asking me to put car in my garage for 5 weeks while you make the engine.

My wife really likes her new desk and it has made quite the difference both at home and at work. Her back is bothering her less and she seems more energetic. I am jealous of it but I don't really need it a nice desk anymore these days.
Sometimes she lets me use it and that's why I'm rating this 5 stars.
Abby is the best example of great customer service. She handled my issue with care, fast response times and a very satisfactory resolution. I can't sing her enough praise. I wish every interaction I had with a company and customer service representative was with someone like Abby. She is a true asset to Uplift.
Had great help from Abigail Villegas at Uplift! Assisted me with a product and a return on a previous product (nothing was wrong with the product, just ordered the wrong product). Very responsive! If help is needed, will seek for her help again! Great products as well!
In short: terrible company, poor quality of the product, poor technical support, dishonest review system on their website, lack of motivation to follow up on anything with their customers.
Here is the issues that I had with this company:
1) Desk stopped working after a couple of weeks (right after I installed second surge protector from Uplift Desk). When I spoke with their support first time, I was told I will receive a call back. Nobody called me back. Their warehouse / warranty department did not bother themselves with communication follow-up, they just kept sending replacement parts leaving it up to me to figure out what I was supposed to do with it.
2) I had to uninstall my monitor arm with 4 monitors fixed to it, disassemble the L-shaped desk and change out all its legs, only to figure out that there was nothing wrong with these legs. The issue was due to their 8-outlet surge protector, which turned out to be incompatible with desk control box. I was able to consistently replicate the issue by powering up the desk through the surge protector and without it.
3) I shipped that surge protector back to UpliftDesk and it was delivered on August 1. Still no refund on August 20th. Sent e-mail to Jeremy Farrar asking where the refund is - no response.
4) I received an e-mail asking to review their surge protectors, so I did. I gave it one star. I bought two of these surge protectors. One was making noise when moved around - turned out its plastic internals were shuttered. I threw it in trash since it was past the return window. Second surge protector was incompatible with control box (as described above). My one-star review did not show up on their website, they censored it. Rating system on their website is fake.
5) This company has lost all credibility in my eyes, so all I can recommend to other potential customers is - stay away! I understand that equipment breaks and things happen, but how the company deals with it reveals their true face... and so far it looks pretty ugly.

This review is based solely off the amazing customer service I received from Abby with Uplift. I don't normally write reviews, but felt compelled to do so in this case.
I originally just ordered the desk frame/legs from uplift without the table top (I had the grand idea to build my own custom top - which hasn't worked out great). I figured, no big deal I'll just order the table top as it should only be the difference in the price from what I paid for already for the legs and the full desk setup. Wrong.. The table top on the website is much more expensive as a purchase by itself (By a few hundred dollars). So I figured I'd shoot my shot and email customer service one night. And to my surprise Abby responded the very next morning saying she would be able to accommodate my request. She then sent me an email with a link to a custom bundled order and I was able to purchase the table top at the rate it costs with the full setup. Once I completed my order she continued to follow up with me to make sure I have all the receipts, tracking info, etc... I'll post another review about the actual desk once I receive everything in the mail. I'm sure it will be amazing.
Thanks again Abby. You responded quickly, were polite, and clearly understood me (Which seems rare in the customer service world now-a-days).

Excellent Customer Service! I was configuring a desk with accessories and I got stack as I wanted a configuration I couldn't select online. I reached out to Abigail (Abby) Vilegas (through Chat) and she followed up (through email), configured exactly what I needed, provide a clear quote and I was able to complete my order. Do not get any of the laminate surface tops - they retain skin oils and look absolutely filthy. After a few frustrating exchanges with customer service (at first insisting that I pay to ship the top back to them) I agreed to a measly $50 refund and a writing pad to help cover my working area. After agreeing, Laura Rogers - one of their customer service managers, stopped corresponding with me. I have no confirmation I'll get what I agreed to now. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. Not a single review mentions these tops retain and reflect oil. I left a review on their site and I'm fairly certain they deleted it. Awful experience. Awful customer service. Save your time and money and buy a desk somewhere else.
I'd like to compliment Uplift and how they are doing their absolute best to handle Covid related challenges. I've found them to be very positive and interested in doing the right things. I have two office setups from them and LOVE the products
My experience with Abby on the Uplift Desk customer support team was great! She helped me track down a non-trivial issue saving me a ton of time.
I have had the uplift desk for a little over 2 years now. The table works great. Recently I had an issue with the controller. I called uplift and they sent me a replacement equipment without a charge. All they asked for is a few pictures of the table.
The support person was very friendly and sincerely cared that my issue is resolved. She sent me email updates until she identified the necessary part and shipped it.
I will buy from this company again.
The shopping and shipping was fine, I got what I wanted promptly, put it together easily enough - but then it wouldn t lift. After the reset attempts failed, I called and got Abby in customer service, and she was great, she listened to me, then walked me through the reset 1 more time, then said to send pics of the control box and wires so she could file a warranty claim. The next day I got the shipping notice. The parts arrived 3 days later, swapping in the new leg was simple, and now my desk works. I figured out later that I hadn t followed the warranty process as stated on the website, so I appreciate Abby even more.
Great experience with this company, we ordered a desk, it was received on time, and complete. Great instructions and easy to assemble. Only issue is the top was damaged during shipping, once they had all the information and photos, they processed a replacement on the spot! Thank you Trevor, great service.
I'm really happy I finally bought my desk. I should have done it years ago. My desktop arrived broken in shipment and Abigail at Uplift Desk got me a new desktop in less than 3 business days. I assembled my desk last night and I am enjoying it very much. I bought the Starling Stool and it is a joy to use as well. I got the standing mat and I'm glad I chose it. The desk up and down movement is quicker than I expected. The change in height happens in a few seconds.
Recently purchased an uplift desk and it is high quality and beautiful as well as easy to put together. However, the chair that I ordered arrived broken and was made of cheap plastic so I requested a refund. It took 5 phone calls and 4 emails to receive the refund and I had to lug the thing over to Fed Ex so they could ship it back. Thankfully, I am able bodied. Every time I called, it was as if there was no log of the prior messages and I had to explain that I did not want to replace the broken chair with a new one but wanted a refund. I did however, appreciate speaking to a real person and not just a robot.

Amazing customer service from Abigail and the Uplift Desk team! I incorrectly purchased a custom desk and did not notice the error for serval days. Despite the error being mine, Abigail quickly addressed the issue by working with their custom build shop to cancel my previous order while also shipping off my new order with little delay. Her service was fast, efficient, and required little effort on my part. 10/10. Highly recommended. Hopefully, the desk is a as good as the service.
Terrible service (multiple attempts to call with no call back, finally had to IM with someone) and the keyboard tray needed the extension (why this isn t standard is perplexing, unless one wants the keyboard sticking out when not in use), which was yet more money. Anyway, I opted to purchase a desk, a keyboard spacer, the keyboard tray, all at premium pricing because it was rated better than other more affordable options. Well...between the significant time commitment to assemble, the multiple orders of things I didn t know I would need, and a final attempt to correct yet another item I didn t know I needed (in order to not have to twist from the keyboard to see your monitor straight on, you need the tray with a mouse attachment) and being told I would have to pay for shipping of my very heavy return , I just could not walk away feeling satisfied. Essentially, for what I thought was going to be a boutique experience, I am disappointed to say turned into a very nickel and dime experience.
Abigail Villegas has done a phenomenal job working with me on getting my desk to the proper specifications and delivered on time. The desk came with minor scratch and Uplift + Abigail did a great job fixing the situation. Thank you so much! These desks are an investment but the customer service and quality are well worth it.
So I have ripped this company apart in the past. They are definitely losing a part for their customer service team. However, the desk is amazing. It was delivered missing several crucial parts for it to even stand at all. Getting in touch with customer service, let along getting an eta on the parts was impossible. As much as these desks cost, they should really provider extraordinary customer service.
However, the desk itself is hands down and investment I would make again. Sturdy, functional, customizable, and my back has had no issues since I have started using it. The product itself...1000 stars!
I've purchased from here several times and have extremely poor experience with their preferred shipping partner UPS which has several times damaged the items. The current item I ordered was supposedly in stock and has taken over a month and still is awaiting fulfillment. Customer service does nothing to assist the consumer, only attempt to sweet talk them into waiting longer for them to fulfill the order. They are not proactive in customer communication regarding any status of orders. As far as the customer is concerned that might as well have taken your money and run away with it. By the time you get your product delivered you will have forgotten you had even ordered it if you hadn't spent hundreds of dollars on that item to begin with. I would suggest ordering elsewhere. Regret ever having made a purchase from this place of business.

Less than two years ago I purchased three desks with reclaimed wood for my company. Last week I noticed that all of the desks had significant cracks in the individual planks. Additionally, one of the legs has never worked. We've made at least three calls to the company with regard to the leg and still do not have a fix. I just completed a call to the Uplift customer support line about the cracks and the customer service was less than stellar. Not very helpful at all.
Abby V. was very helpful and efficient in helping me replaced a damaged desk.
I am beyond impressed with Uplift's customer service and product quality. It's because of this I will always recommend them to friends and family. I had to hiccups after placing my order:
1) My custom wood top was backordered by more than 3+ months. I was bummed to find out since the rest of my order had already shipped that I was going to be without a top for that long. When I called their team, they offered to provide me with a temporary top (whatever was available) to use during that period. I was so impressed that they shipped this replacement top at no cost to me. It arrived in just a few days and this allowed me to start using my Uplift without having to wait the extended period.
2) When my pheasant wood desktop arrived damaged (shipping carrier dropped it and damaged one corner), the Uplift customer service team was super speedy and responsive in helping me with my issue. Outside of the dent on the corner, the desk is gorgeous and has been a game changer for my WFH workflow. I truly don't doubt that I made the right decision choosing Uplift. In both of these instances, they could have told me better luck next time, but they took ownership of the problems (even if out of their control) and went out of their way to provide me with the best experience possible. 10/10.

I contacted customer service live chat about an item that I hadn't received yet and got Abby who found out my item was lost in shipping. She quickly had a new order up and a confirmation to my email in minutes. Easily one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time.

Great customer service experience! While I haven't received the desk yet because it is on backorder (I've used them elsewhere), I have been in communication with Customer Care (Abby & Victoria) to make some changes to the desk options (wood type, and accessories). They were able to honor additional promos and make things work, which was awesome.

We just had some desks delivered, and they're beautiful! We got solid wood desktops (for me and my girlfriend) and I was surprised by how inexpensive they were. Now we can stand at our leisure! We'll probably come back soon for new monitor arms, to complete the set-up.

I recommend looking elsewhere if you are between two companies. I spent the time researching and was hoping for a good experience for the price. Unfortunately, it's been a month and I still have not received the desk and it's components. I didn't receive any emails or updates. I was patient and kept checking the order status online. Finally, I used the chat to check in on my order and found out that my order was put on hold. No compensation or apology was given. I had to ask for it. I was offered $29. The customer service was very poor. Hoping the desk is better than the experience with this company.
Abby helped me get my warrantied parts out to me within a week. Always stayed in contact, kept me updated and responded to my questions in a timely manner. 5/5

I had to switch to a standing desk for health reasons. As an editor, sitting all day was destroying my neck and spine, so buying a standing desk was frustrating. Once I decided which desk to buy, however, Uplift made everything much better! Abigail, in particular, helped me get the perfect desk for my office, it was easy to build, and I'm so impressed with the quality. Of course, when everything got here, I realized I made a mistake in my order, but Abigail took care of that too! Everything about the process was a pleasure and I highly recommend Uplift and their amazing customer service!
I had a little problem with the control box upon arrival, but I called uplift and got a live voice really quickly. They walked me through the steps to reboot the system and it works great. Avalon Myst is customer service agent I spoke with and she is the absolute perfect model of what customer service is all about. She spoke with clarity and patience. She needs a promotion and pay raise, pronto.
After spending 2,000$ on equipment from Uplift, I opted to pay for installation to make my life easier. I payed 320$ in advance and scheduled an appoint with their installers at 3:30pm, as they were unable to install after 5pm without charging an additional fee (an additional 200$). After being told that the desk installation would take about an hour, but sometimes even 7 minutes, I opted for a 3:30pm install time as it would give me about 2.5 hours before attending other responsibilities. After taking 2 hours from my job and leaving everything set for the installers, the desk was never installed. At 3:45 pm I had not heard from the installers, so I called them. I got a call back about 15 minutes later stating that the installers had run into some difficulties and that they were going to be at least an additional hour late. No only that, but that the installation would take around 2 hours, going over the time at which I had another responsibility to attend to. They gave me no other option than to reschedule. I waited for a week for the installation, took time from my job that went unpaid, rearranged my living room, not to have my desk installed, because they ran into difficulties. I asked for them to reschedule my installation after hours, yet they were unable to do so without charging me an additional 200$, which they would not cover, despite them not being able to make the appointment. So they basically refunded my installation money and cleaned their hands from any responsibility. I m currently installing the desk myself and I have to say, the quality is lack luster. I m surprised I spent this amount of money on this equipment.

I ordered a desk at the beginning of February knowing that they are overwhelmed with orders right now due to more and more people working from home. I received the desktop and a few smaller pieces first and waited a month until I finally tracked the packages to see whether they were in transit yet and it said they had been delivered along with the rest of the desk. This was not the case so I contacted uplift and spoke with Abigail Villegas and she was quick to sort out the problem. She got the rest of my ordered shipped to my place pretty much the next day. I live in an apartment complex with a mail room that is constantly overflowing with packages so maybe fedex did not have room to leave the packages but still left them as delivered. Luckily I did not have to deal with calling them as I said before, Abigail took care of everything.

We ordered a desk from these guys and it s very upsetting because it s been almost 2 weeks and we haven t gotten the full order. We have been waiting for 2 weeks for something that should have taken 2 to 3 days. On top of that there s not a single email or a phone call telling us that they are not able to deliver the rest. They are just sitting there shipping the parts little by little whole we wait. If you need someone right away just go with a more reliable company.

I love my new Uplift desk so much I accidentally ordered it twice! The Uplift Customer service team lead by Abby Villegas jumped right in and intercepted the second desk and canceled the duplicate order before it processes and shipped. Abby was super responsive through the order cancellation and refund process. I highly recommend Uplift!
