I was happy with my associates and bachelors program. However, my master not really. I question the academic integrity at this school, AND they say their academic advisor are helpful. When it comes down to it, it is all about how much money they can get out of it. They're not looking out for your best interest. I spent a lot of time and money into getting a degree and in the end they're not as helpful as they state they are. I would try and find a more resourceful school that cost less to attend. In the end I ended up being very disappointed.

This school has made it possible for me to get back in track in obtaining my degree. For many years I put off returning to school because I could not go to a conventional brick and mortar facility. Someone who is interested in getting full support from faculty, teachers, classmates, and tech should attend. Hard work, long hours, and sacrifice are a few factors that will make you successful . As a student, I have access to so much information. The curriculum is very disciplined and requires full dedication. I work 50+ hours and have found the classes to fit my schedule. I have read some of the reviews and they shadow the true point of getting a higher education; they are full of excuses. If you are dedicated to finish what you started years ago, than this is for you.

Their Financial aid is a joke. They expect you to attend classes with no award letter! No thank you, I don't feel like accumulated a large amount of debt just to be told something has gone wrong with my FASFA. Then when you tell them you would like to drop the class they charge you! It is a SCAM 100%. True a well thought out scam, but at the end of the day still a SCAM! Do not waste you energy.

UOP has the most up-to-date learning tools, professional instructors, and challenging courses. The Academic Advisors are excellent and always follow up with their students. I ve been attending UOP off and on for 8 years in the Army and as a VET and obtained two degrees! I love this school and recommend it to everyone!

I am very pleased with this College. They have been very helpful with any questions I have. I have always been able to reach my advisor or any advisor available for questions or concerns. I graduate in July of 2021 with a Bachelor s degree in Healthcare Administration. I have already begun setting my career in motion. I will be shadowing my DON in the next upcoming months. Upon completion of my degree, I plan on training at my current employment to be the Executive Director of one of their many health care facilities.

I am online student earning my Bachelor's in Business. So far I love the program and the way it's set up. Very easy to add into my everyday life. If you plan on going back to school UofP is the place to go!

"Alumnus Carlos Ramirez s Story" University of Phoenix Commercial shows how much this school hates law enforcement. Was is really necessary to portray two deputies looking that the two men with such disdain? You need to show this to all your current and potential students that have respect for law enforcement. After seeing your reviews on Google, I doubt this commercial will hurt your reputation. Keep up the bad work!

Instructors and tech support are amazing people. If you are thinking of going here using your education benefits, don't. They didn't have what I wanted but something close to it so I chose that. I was told it was $3200 a month and there was a campus close to me. Signed on only to find out that the closest campus that I could attend was 2 hrs away and the rates dropped to $2200 a month. Since then it has been $1800 a month. Also, they close campuses, switch classes, and change things up so much it seems like no one has any idea what is actually happening. The programs they use (like McGraw hill) for classes are so bad the instructors will change homework assignments. They have problems with their website. One assignment was to upload a 3 minute video. Their website can't handle anything over 25mb, the 3 minute video being 129mb. I had to call tech support and they had me download a program to compress files. Despite so many other things I'll leave with saying that your first week of class you need to get the homework done before the first in class session. Despite the "starting date" posted on the home page you are actually expected to start the homework the week prior, IF the class page opens for you. Save the tech support number.

Now I would love to give this school five stars I ...

Now I would love to give this school five stars I really would but I have to say that the academic advisors are not as available as I would like them to be but that is my only beef with the school. Now as far as the school itself is concerned. The school if FULLY accredited both regionally and nationally. They were at risk of losing their accredidation a few years back but it was because of their sister school for their associates program through the Apollo group which had nothing to do with the schools ability to admninister a proper education. Now for those who think they are a rip off, yeah most schools are for profit so they are going to be expensive. I am part of their military division given I am a spouse to an active duty member and I have to say that I have had a wonderful educational experience. I have obtained an AA, BS, and soon an MBA. For those who expect that online schooling is going to be easy are sadly mistaken. In fact, online school can be harder than traditional learning because you have to be able to learn without a lot of assitance. It is a learn as you go program that requires a lot of reading and dedication on your part. The instructors teach multiple classes so they are not going to be at your beckon call but they do respond and they are helpful. Yeah you will get a few bad apples but you get that with any school you attend. There are many who want to see their students succeed but then there are those who are overloaded and those instructors do get reported. Now for those who say they just hand out degrees, that is a load of crap. They don't hand them out, you have to earn it like you do with any other school. I think the problem here is that there are many who expect to have online learnig be a breeze and think that they can just pop on whenever and the teacher will be willng to work with them. Online schooling is for resposible, well organized adults who can juggle life without expecting a handout. I have been in school for almost six years, have two kids I had to raise, moved four times (two moves being overseas), dealt with TDY's and deployments, and a job all while going to school and never stopped once. So for those who say "oh it does not truly cater to working individuals" guess again. Also for those who say that employers laugh at them when they say where they went to school, that is a load of crap!!!! Yes I said it a load of crap, my father is a NP who recieved his degree from UoP and he is a well respected person in his office, friends attended UoP and work high positions both business and medical administration and I started off as a mid range administrator when I got hired on by my firm. It is called get yourself priroties in gear, have a plan, show dedication, stop finding excuses, and get to it. That simple.

Beware!! I took a college Algebra class at University of Phoenix with intent to attend the University of Arizona. When I could not get a college algebra class
that worked with my school and work schedule, I inquired at the University of Phoenix which offered an online accelerated class that would allow me to finish around the same time as my other classes this keeping me on the correct schedule for graduation. It s seemed like a great fit at the time and I and was assured my UofP College Algebra credits would transfer to the University of Arizona.
Once I enroll at the UofA I am told that UofP online math doesn t transfer!!! Yes, this means that thousands of dollars are totally wasted and I get to take College Algebra again at full price somewhere else.
They intentionally misrepresented me and thousands of others for the sake of sales. That is fraud according to the Attorney General s Office.
My adviser Danielle has not returned my calls and I cannot believe they get away with this practice.
Yes, I take responsibility and the fact that I should ve called the University of Arizona to ensure those credits would have properly transferred however, I was dealing with an institution of higher learning and I know I cannot be the only person in this world that transferred math credits from the University of Phoenix to the University of Arizona. With that being said, I was certain what they represented to me was true and accurate since they do this on a daily basis.
Unfortunately I fell victim to a corporation whose main interest is sales and not customer service or concern.
What a scam! I have never felt more violated than by what I considered a reputable institution of higher learning.

If only I could warn everyone about this school, e...

If only I could warn everyone about this school, even though they should never be referred to as such. I completed 57 credits and somehow managed to accumulate over $50,000 in student loans, not including my out of pocket expenses. I was consistently lied to about the loans and now I'm so far in debt that there is no end in sight. The enrollment officers are not well trained and provide false information. The academic and financial advisors also hide the truth. Numerous complains were made by myself and others in regards to instructors and academics throughout my time their but with little mediation. Out of the 57 credits only 14 transferred, which intelligence is not an issue as I'm a 4.0 GPA student at my other school, which is actually academically credible. The school lies to obtain government money and preys upon lower income individuals. You will struggle to find a job with any degree you obtain from here as the quality of education is comparable to a primary level. Often teachers do not meet the necessary requirements and standards to teach classes so we played a lot of games in class. Tests are never actually given, except a few online ones for math. Teachers hand other student papers to other class member to grade, what's the point of paying the teacher if the students are doing their job. If you like writing papers that mean absolutely nothing and not actually read by most teachers than this school is for you. What can you really expect to learn in 5 weeks and still wonder why you cant get a job after attending UOP. When you do need to transfer good luck getting those transcripts as the school does everything in their power to delay that process. Almost a month now, many emails and phone calls and still no response to the documents I need to transfer properly, go figure. Society needs to do itself a favor and ban and discredit this "business" as it is a complete waste of time and massive amounts of money. Almost 10 years later and I still cant get back on my feet because of this school. Additionally, All my account history/payments has been "archived" after I made a BBB complaint and was told I need to sign consent forms to receive this information. I also was placed on a do not email list, even though they have been emailing me to in reference to a syllabus but wont for my payment history. No wonder it is such a joke. Did I forget to mention this a school you can cheat to get through because guess what a fellow student got caught plagiarizing and the school received complaints but took no measures to reprimand that student by any means. Numerous complaints were made but that student still received an A. Sadly this institution gives a bad name and creates a fear for others who wish to pursue higher education. There is a reason many celebrities, tv shows, and comedians out there publicly make fun of the school. Do yourself a favor and jump in a giant hole before you attend this school, same principle. Go to a real school, start at a community college, apply yourself, get legitimate funding and receive an education worth paying for. I also made other complaints through the dispute management a while back that were rather significant but they were ignored/brushed to the side.

If I could give zero stars I would.

If I could give zero stars I would.

This is the absolute biggest waste of time and money. It's basically like a remedial version of regular college. That wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have mandatory group projects and sometimes group FINAL projects that require you to work with and rely on absolute morons for your grades. You are better off taking free online classes from Khan Academy than paying for this joke of a school. Not to mention, University of Phoenix (UoP) has basically no credibility with employers. When I signed up I was young and didn't know enough to know I was being conned. Now I'm thousands in debt and at the end will have a useless degree. Although that is common today, UoP charges way more than a traditional local public University so when you are done you end up with significantly more debt.

The teachers range from alright to horrible and I have never had a teacher that I would say made an impact and I've gone through an entire program with them. The teachers really do not teach at all. The format is like an online classroom with a schedule that tells you what is assigned and when it is due. Aside from small talk and group discussions, there are no real learning periods in the classroom. It basically is like "Read this book, answer these questions, turn it in."

I would highly suggest that no one waste their life with this horrible experience. Try anything else at all! Just to give context, I got through the program with an A/B average so this isn't hostility because I failed...it's hostility because it is a rip off and I want to prevent others from being ripped off to!!!

This school is terrible! If you do not understand not only do you not get help, but they do not give you the chance to redo any assignments. They are money hungry, & I got tricked into taking out a loan. I want out I made the BIGGEST mistake in my life enrolling here, they only call you when they need information about financial aid, & you don't ever see it. & do no be fooled by the fake 5 star reviews they are putting those themselves. If there was an option to rate a 0 out of 5 I totally would.

Horrible University. Professors will not respond to your messages . The excuse I got from the counselors that Blackboard is a new program and maybe that's the reason why there's a delay in responding to messages . Mean while students are failing classes. Also just like other previous reviews posted they are horrible in the financial aid department . They just want your money.

Horrible experience with this school and especially the financial team. YOU CAN GOOGLE EVERY SINGLE ASSIGNMENT IN EVERY CLASS. You can literally find all of the answers to everything on google and professors don t even attempt to stop people from submitting plagiarism for discussion posts, group assignments, anything. It is a joke. You might get a degree but not a reputable one unless you re already in your industry and can dupe your way through it. Financial team is a joke and they sent me to collections as well for $200 that I didn t even know I owed because they said they use the portal and student email to contact even after you ve withdrawn (for MONTHS.) absolutely would not recommend them and hope to see them face the same fate as other degree mill schools.

I enjoyed the BSIT (Software Engineering) program. I cannot compare it to any other program, but I can say that the school had many resources and was quite challenging.

I am now on my way to perusing a Master program at another college. I chose another college to add diversity to my Resume and to network. UOP has a negative stigma but I can tell you that compared to my current college they are on top of their game when it comes to assistance. The professors were knowledgeable and have keen experience in the field but most importantly...they were willing to go the extra mile to ensure that questions are answered. I enjoyed this school and feel that the program SHOULD hold as much weight as State funded schools. Unfortunately the stigma remains. A degree is a degree. My advice is do research to make sure that your UOP degree will actually help you on your road map.

Don't eve take a class from the University of Phoenix. What a waste of time and money. They promised support, both with tutors and online lectures and tutorials. They had none of that. Navigating the site was a nightmare. If I could go back, I would never have even considered them. What a waste.

Will withhold excess funding if they feel you are going to leave. By law only allowed to hold excess funding for 14 days but will have an excuse. Have to report to Dept of Ed just to get it released. Also only report partial attendance to VA if in 5 week program they only report 4 so you lose a week of bah and they gain more time to lengthen the classes. DO NOT ENROLL RIP OFF FRAUDULENT ACTIVITY!!! I am stuck here untill my last 4 classes are over. It was 2 they added 2 more and took my overpayment refusing to refund.

Well first off I will say that my Counselor was great he helped me plan my schedule and ensure that I would finish my degree in the time fame that I wanted that is why there is 1 star.

Second my classmates and I were mistreated by one of our instructors we informed the school from week 1 and yet the school failed to do anything resulting in students failing the class or even dropping out. The instructors continued this behavior it was a leadership class and I did not learn anything about leadership or the importance of being a leader, all I learned about was how the instructor could do we he wanted I quote him saying I can fail all of you if I want and there is nothing you can do . The school acted like something would be done and never did anything about it, this is a perfect example that as a student you are just a number that provides them money. I would recommend go to a different school one that will not just treat you as a number but one that will care for you, and treat you with respect.

This joke of an option for higher education is jus...

This joke of an option for higher education is just that! They're money hungry and they don't care about your success like they say they do. As soon as you tell them that you need to take a break because you can't juggle school and operating a business, and family is when their understanding goes out the window. I thought I would have the freedom to go to school while doing the rest of my every day activities and that 100% not the case. I had to drop classes after my fist month because I became too busy. So I ended up owing $400 and some od dollars. After talking with Josephine (the financial advisor) to take care of that debt, less than a WEEK later they sent me to collections over $427!!! Not only that, the academic advisor Diane, told me she hopes that my business fails and that will free up more time to take my education more serious because I will never find a job worth while without an education. HA! I own my own business and business is booming now.

I am a wife, mother, full-time employee and full-time student. UoP is ideal for me as the set up has allowed me to work toward my goals via distance learning. I am 9 months from my bachelor's and still maintaining a great GPA. If you have the grit to be successful University of Phoenix gives you the tools.

Rather than rant about my experience, I am going to post the concern of a current student. It should sum up the value of their degree programs.

"During this week's discussions, I have noticed that two of my classmates have copied and pasted their responses directly from the textbook."

"both of the posts in question have been commented on by the instructor with comments such as "Great job on your response etc etc. It is not that the students have put quotes around entire paragraphs...there are no quotes, they have merely copied and pasted entire sections out of the textbook."

This was a major waste of time and money. I was in a tech program and the online labs were always down or frozen. I basically had to call tech support to do homework. I am a busy guy I work long hours and have a family, this is why I chose UoP. I would adjust everything in my life to do a project and then was unable to do that project or assignment because of tech issues. Log out and log back in was about the extent of support I got.

Furthermore the course material was dry and about as exciting as an army personnel training manual. I found I was learning more on my own with google than at school.

To make matters worse I was given conflicting information after I withdrew and had to get my lawyer involved. No one seemed to have a direct answer about my account and every time I paid it, there was more that magically appeared. Apparently they keep "processing fees" until you owe more than you were originally told.

They also spam the life out of you so you never know which correspondence is relevant to you. It was maddening. Save your time and money there are many other options online.

Aside from minor nuances, I do have to rank this university pretty high. I wish they offered the books in print and online, however, its solely online. All the constant hype about citing sources annoys me, as does the repetition with what is being taught, however, the admissions process was smooth, navigation pretty simple and some of the work can be challenging, such as the assignments. Their is collaboration with other students so it feels like a chatroom. This university goes along way to keep their students happy, and I receive a call every month from my advisor, just looking to talk and say hi. It's engaging and exciting.

They would not stand behind the results that THEIR citation generator produced. This institution lacks integrity and I plan to share that fact with anyone who will listen. I have already shared my experience with my 1500 fellow employees. My AA would not resolve this issue. I have not recieved an end-of-course survey for the last few classes either. The fact that I have not been pressed for feedback validates the fact that this place isn't interested in making any improvements.

At first this school was amazimg. The staff would contact me weekly and every week. Sometimes this would get annoying but i always had reminders to continue my studies. Then after my associates the school came under new management. This was the begining of the end for me. The price went up and the support went down. The staff would tell me anything just so i would pay and continue there. It seemed like the school no longer cares for their students and more about the schools image and its funds. I no longer suggest this school because i found other schools that are less in price and more about the student. If you value your education i would suggest wgu or any other school that your happy with. Price does not suggest higher education or better service. Good luck and good days.

I was initially worried that online learning would not be as high of quality as the traditional classroom. However, I have found it just as rigorous if not more so! The professors, the various departments are friendly and accessible. My one issue is the amount of group projects which occurs repeatedly in every class. I find group work in an online setting actually distracts from my learning, making it more about jumping through hoops rather than growing in content snd critical thinking. I would like the option to work individually rather than chopping up my learning.

Their financial reps are horrible and uneducated themselves. I moved to a new state when I started with them and before I moved they told me all my paper work for the school and fasfa was complete. Well after I moved they needed something good signed from both me and my parents who lives in West Virginia. So my fr mailed them the paper work to sign then mail to me. We waited almost 4 months until I got a new fr and realive the old rep didn't know that West Virginia was a state and sent the paper to Virginia instead. And it was too late so now they are trying to get me to pay out of pocket for one class, the how to be ome a master student class $1300. Because they messed up and wouldn't let me continue past that class and my fasfa wouldn't cover it any more.

I'm enrolled in this school. This is my 3rd time being with them and this time they don't seem to care about anything at all. They lie to you, hold your funds until they feel it's convenient for them. I manage my own funds and they still haven't sent me anything. Going to UOP has been a challenge. Only having 4 classes to go. In my 7th week of Math class, I did not post two discussion for two of the weeks to find out they withdraw me from class. How can this happen? I have never heard of such in my days. Only having two weeks to go to be withdrawn. I was passing class with a B+, my instructor said nothing, nor my academic advisor. A manager contacted me to say I can retake this class for free of charge. Previously I had to retake an elective class (IT) due to failing it. I compliant the entire time when taking this IT class, because it was so hard I felt like I could become a specialist in IT. The advisor stated to me he received a lot of complaints regarding this elective. Phoenix is not about students receiving degrees. If someone could please help me with how I can stay in class without a retake I would greatly appreciate it.

I am a UoP student and I graduate next year. Although the reason I gave five stars was because not of the behavior of faculty at the university, but because of the resources readily available to student s, so that we are eventually successful both at the University and in the real world. You are allowed to review any past classroom 4ever, and the platform in which the University embraces is beyond sufficient. There is a chance of getting an unethical professor, but could that happen at any school? In addition, the upper faculty could really do something about the finance department, very rude people.
