The UOP online college is #1 to me. I have already received my Associates Degree in Business from here and only have 3 courses left to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Business Entrepreneurship. They make learning so easy and fun. The professors and staff are the best they really care about their students needs.

I completed my undergrad and masters at UOPX. I worked full time during both of my programs, and really enjoyed being able to go to school any time. The online format worked great for me. The courses were challenging, but there are several resources available to help you succeed. I highly recommend UOPX and am a proud alumna!

I had an old balance that I paid off, and they were supposed to send me a pay off letter but never did. I called and requested it, they sent it to the wrong email, I asked for a copy again and it has to go back through the process. No letter still!!! They also report to your credit that it is a private loan, not a school so it stops you from being able to even rent. UPDATE*** I finally got my pay off letter, but instead of marking it as "paid off" or even "settled as agreed" they changed it to "was derogatory" seriously??? UPDATE AGAIN 3 MONTHS LATER So here we are almost in January and everything was paid in October, they still have NOT corrected my report saying that the debt is paid off. It says charged off instead of settled and paid as agreed, or anything. 1 of my scores is 80 points lower then the others because this is still saying derogatory. UPDATE AGAIN in February, now they have decided to report again to another bureau and said it is derogatory when in fact it has been paid. They are also reporting it as new. I will be obtaining a lawyer as soon as I get moved into my place. They go out of their way to make things worse instead of trying to help or make things better, they are not returning phone calls or emails about my account either. I have never dealt with anyone like this, its a sad shame.

Going to give 1 stars for now just because of reviews , my husband is supposed to receive excess funds by the 28th of this month , if he don't receive it soon like the reviews are saying He will drop and I will report school to every upper authority possible, and get a lawyer . I'll update to 5 stars n edit my review IF he gets his money like they say by the 28th. So far it is a great school and they check in with him weekly so for now he loves it , just worried about all the bad reviews

University of Phoenix is a great school. They are really hands on and care about each of their students. Since I've been a student my admissions advisor had been great calling to check in on me to see how classes are to checking to make sure I had everything I needed to even start classes. I was discouraged at one point and he gave me hope that everything would be ok and I would be a phoenix very soon. I can't wait to finish my degree with UOPX and start my masters.

I will be graduating in September with my Bachelors and have also gotten my Associates through University of Phoenix. I have no complaints. Have I had some hiccups...yes, but I ve also gone to a traditional University and had the same. I knew what I wanted before coming in and I went after it full force letting nothing and no one stop me. I have no complaints and am also considering them for my Masters!!

I have honestly had the best experience with my education here at UOPX. The amount of time, effort and care that the staff have put into my experience has been part of what makes it great. Transferring credits was a breeze and I m on the home stretch to finalizing my degree.

After attending and transferring to another school, I see how poor of a school UoP actually is. They don't give each student the time they should to ensure they will do well. Not recommend for anyone to attend.

I graduated in.2011. Had no issues. The courses were similar to a brick and mortar college. I was even surprised to find many of my books were the same as those used by my friends who were attending FSU. and FAMU. It is good for working adults who need flexibility. Time management and maturity are key like any other school there are deadlines you must meet or you will fail. The staff was always helpful and I never felt I was being "scammed". The cost are laid out up front and you must meet certain standards to remain elegible for fin aid. Anyone who says this school is a scam is more then likely responsible for their own failure and most people who are failures usually have the tendency to blame others rather than taking responsibility for there lack of discipline, aptitude etc. It is a good school with many successful graduates. I have no regrets .

I am three credits away from my Bachelor's degree. It has been a long hard, and I almost gave in a few times, but thanks to my family support I am almost complete. I am strongly considering going for my Master's. I looked on this site and saw only 2.8 stars, so I wanted to see why. As with anything, you get what you put in, be honest with yourself. When I worked too much my grades suffered, I could tell. When I devoted time to studies and worked hard my grades went up. I have had many study teams, some were outstanding and others were lazy, dishonest, and had no passion. In other words blame yourself for your poor experience. The tools are there for success, but you have to want it.

University of Phoenix has been and was supportive throughout my entire journey while achieving my Master s degree. From the time I spoke with a representative, up until completion on my final class they were there each and every step of the way. I highly recommend anyone feeling interested in furthering their education to give the school a call and allow the staff to embrace and assist you with completing the next step in your journey!

I like how I can pay as I go instead of taking out a loan. They are good at getting back to me when I have concerns. The reading during class teaches me what I need to know. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is due to not getting all of the information for my papers. A coupl of times I had no idea what I was supposed to do on an assignment even after asking and other students asking. I eventually did the paper and received a decent grade. In the notes of my grade it said why I missed points. It never had those instructions in the instructions of the paper or in the rubric

It only took me a week being enrolled in one of their courses to realize that University of Phoenix literally accepts anyone. I was in a graduate course and my classmates' writing capabilities were on the level of 5th graders. Thank you, UoP, for showing me that I should never get a degree from a for-profit school. This school is the definition of a degree mill.

I love UofP they provide a great way to adult learns that is flexible, rewarding and challenging (in a good way). The only thing I would recommend is to incorporate at least 1 virtual class season weekly or bi-weekly for us. This will help Foster the team based approach to learning that happens at the University. Thank you for making this an enjoyable experience!

I completed my doctoral journey at the University ...

I completed my doctoral journey at the University of Phoenix. The online School of Advanced Studies program provided me the harmony to focus on school, work, and home. The courses were timed perfectly at eight weeks affording adequate time for weekly class posts, reflection, absorption of material, building of literature toward my dissertation, and practice. I enjoyed collaborating with cohort members and staff in small group settings. Also, all came together at residency where scholars are placed in teams to research and present on current topics and issues for organizational leaders.

The place to grow is University of Phoenix.

To your success,
Dr. Simone Arnold

Horrible, i have yet to receive payment from my VA benefits because the school failed to send up my certification correctly. They sent it up the first time and then a school official sent up a termination saying i withdrew from the class which i never did i finished the class and passed with an A-. I called several times to get it corrected and everyone acted clueless as if they didn t know what i was talking about. How do y all expect people to pay their bills and keep a roof over their head when things like this happen the class started in February and ended in March. MAY starts next week and i still haven t gotten paid!!!! HOPEFULLY we finally got it corrected and i can get paid smh!!! I wouldn t recommend this school to ANY veteran! If i could give NO STARS i would!

I was so afraid to begin school again after so long. Especially threading this new territory of online schooling. Phoenix was just so amazing, and have supported me every step of the way. They constantly follow up to make sure you are all set before beginning.

The actual online set up is so organized and user friendly. It really is set up for you to succeed from beginning to end. I am so happy I finally made the decision to go for it. I am on my 3rd class and haven t regretted it yet!

Is hard to get someone to talk too, and if you want to change from online to campus, they give you a hard time! The experience that I have had has been unsatisfactory. While, one official may perform well others bring in prejudices in their dealings with students and the student has no recourse. The interdepartmental communication doesn t exists. If you are funded from a source and obtain a loan, the school takes possession of all funds until the guaranteed monies are released upon completion of a course. Thus, holding all the student s loan monies that the student is responsible for whether they complete the program or not. This is wrong.

Before going to any rpivate school you must do your homework. The University of Phoenix is a for profit private institution. They are not accredited by SACS or the Board of education and are currently under investigation along with Keiser University for giving out (yes i said giving out) degrees that are not legitamate. they dont offer proper training. Alot of jobs will not hire you beacuse you have gone to these school. Not saying these are bad schools but the value of there training is in question.I used to be a phonix and my experiece there was completly horrible. You can even transfer those credits to a state school, those admissions counselors are told to lie to you to do anything and tell you anything just to get you to enroll. They dont care about you never have never will theyre great liars and sales rep. All they care abaout are theyre number. Im not talking out the sideof my face i work for Keiser University

What Starr Thomas is saying is not true. I've seen the ads & heard some good things about this school. If anyone asks me, this is a school I'd go to, it's fully accredited, has some of the best live & online learning. Ignore these bad reviews & go to school. If this school wasn't accredited they'd be out of business. These bad reviews? They could be investigated.

MILITARY STAY AWAY!!! I've given them the benefit ...

MILITARY STAY AWAY!!! I've given them the benefit of the doubt for two years & Veterans are taken advantage of here. It's all about their numbers here. DO NOT bring your GI Bill here for two reasons; they will abuse your funds AND they don't know how to process the paperwork. Not only does it take months to receive your education benefits but their excuse is always, "The VA always takes this long, it's not us." Really? I never had this delay with my other two universities since the start of the Post 9/11 back in 2010. They don't submit your certification, if they remember, until the third week of attendance to ensure you don't drop the course. Classes start at over $1300 and they only offer 5 week classes. All books are electronic so you pay for something you no longer have access to after your 5-week class. Then if you get on their bad side they will, out of nowhere, come up with this excuse that there are no more "on campus" courses available so you're required to take online only courses which cuts your BAH in half and then again, they forget to update the VA so you're stuck with possible back pay or no pay the next class. Don't EVER take a break from classes, even if the class you want to take is not available at that time, because after a 14-day window you must submit an "Appeal for Re-entry" to get approved from the advisors where it took them SIX MONTHS (Jan 2017-June 2017) to get me in classes again. Oh yeah, and coincidentally they have a 6-month penalty where you cannot get back into classes after any gaps in your schedule without this appeal. I've had my academic advisor sign me up for the wrong class retaking a class so I paid out of pocket while my financial advisors (yes, plural, there's been at least three) withheld my Financial Aid from the academic year prior making every excuse in the book so that I had to begin email communication to track their excuses and escalate it to supervisors. First, they claimed it was lost, then they said it was a glitch in the system, NOW they claim, after I had to fill out a Credit Balance Request to have my Pell Grant disbursed to me, that every time the deposit gets closer there's another excuse for delay in payment. Funny that each time monies are to be distributed to me it's not until my class is complete so that I have to sign up for another class with them to continue the processing of my delayed funds. Kind of like that Statefarm commercial with the old man fishing the dollar in front of your face. Keep in mind that I screen shot my student portal where it states that I elected NOT to have funds withheld from me due to the VA benefits being a 100% guaranteed tuition payment. It's nice that they gave me the option, but this doesn't stop them from withholding my Pell Grant with no reasoning for it other than they can. I've been completely taken by their disregard for my education and the handling of my VA benefits. Instead of being encouraged to further my education as a single parent, I seem to have been taken advantage of and disrespected. As long as this is posted for all students, not just Veterans, I hope you heed warning. God Bless.

A highly unaccredited, low ranking, for profit school that is more concerned with increasing their profits than properly educating students. If you want a good career do yourselves a favor, study hard and go to a real public university or a respectable private institution like USC. I am currently enrolled in this University and its by fare a really good school. Plus if anyone questions me on this post, "I did not get paid to do so". I am just throwing it out there. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and I am currently enrolled in the Master's program with only three courses left. As a previous person commented in regards to the education that you actually learn more cause you are reading, researching and learning at your own pace instead of having an actually boring instructor in front of you. Most of the comments that I have read are probably from students that did not put in the effort, time or dedication to complete the work. Everything is given to you up front and before you sign things you have to take the time to really understand what you are getting into to and what the costs will really be through your term. Overall, I have learned a lot and understand that this is the future, instead of sitting in a traditional school learning absolutely nothing. I actually dedicated myself and sacrificed time to get this degree. As many have mentioned its a waste, but its a waste if you make it that way. So sad that their are many people who complain in life for their actions, but yet put the blame on others cause they cannot face the reality that they messed up. I recommend this college and all those who are looking to better themselves, just as I did.

I had a similar expierance to many on here. Apparently UOP is claiming they dont have a subsidiary called Axia. Yet i have the letters stating that i was enrolled Axia through UOP. This is probably steamed from the class action law suite against UOP. The information i see states people have found that they were promissed job placement in relevant career field. As it turns out UOP degrees are not considered relevant to any corporations or even smaller companies. Not worth the paper their printed on. Suppesedly student loans are being voided due to lawsuit. I should be one of those refunded and absolved of this waste of two years. Dont let their deceptive advertising trick you. There are far better options out there.

My experience was actually very positive. My instructors were highly educated in the field of social services. They were helpful in my journey and I recieved help immediately regarding any academic concerns I had. I noticed people that give UOP a bad name are just hating on the school due to thier own self victimization. Of course, it's going to be expensive, it's only like 15 to 20 people in each class! Sometimes even less than that due to people dropping out. I feel like the cost was worth it because the instructor has more time to engage thier students. Also, to give instructive feedback.

I just want to say whoever is considering going to this school, don't take people's words as gold and see for yourself. Going to this school is a journey and you will have your ups and downs. It's not a easy ride, going through this school. The curriculum is challenging and whoever said online education was easy is a complete lie. Just don't give up and push through. I love the concept of this school because after you graduate you have sooo many opportunities to find work. You raise from the ashes just like a Phoenix. It's many other benefits from this school that you check out if your interested. God Bless

If it should even get a star after reading reviews inseam tone having same issues as others that's frustrating. They did away with credit request form then say I have to wait on voc rehab to pay for classes before they can release student loan. Voc Rehab comes in should be released right? Nope got to wait up to 14 days. Are they waiting on another class to be billed so they can keep the money ? Wouldnt suggest anyone going here. Yes I did a student loan so I could work less hours and have more school focus but clearly I ended up having work more hours anyway because they wont release the student loan

University of Phoenix has made it possible for me to obtain a credited degree, raise three sons independently, and work full time. It is unfortunate that people with silver spoons in their mouths are clueless about balancing work, school, and family. If it were not for University of Phoenix, I would still be flipping burgers at a low wage paying service job.
Do not listen to the misguided person who claimed that USC is a valuable institution. The work load at University of Phoenix is intense. It requires tremendous reading, and writing skills. The only complaint I have is the Team Forums, and lack of qualified participants in a classroom. The school cannot make you smart,or ambitious, you have to do some of that on your own. However, you have to want to do more with your life than sitting on a couch watching the television. Just saying! A college education is valued, regardless of what University you obtain it from.

I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone if you can go into a school and actually see & speak with people it s surely a lot easier & less stressful. To them we are just a check I definitely am more than that so for anybody considering attending University of Phoenix I say RUN, don t do it

I finally finished with my Bachelor's but have not recieved my degree in the mail. It seems that if your last name is hyphenated their system can't handle it. It has been 4 months and no degree. I was told to do a paper one and that everything was fine. Still no degree. This has taken the happiest moment and turned it into a frustrating time. Even my counselor is acting as if she is either overloaded or just doesn't care. I pretty sure I'm not the only person in their school that has an hyphenated last name. Why is this a problem and why since it's not my fault my degree will still take 45 days. SN: my associates degree my name was different.

Not a veteran (GI Bill) friendly school. The way attendance is counted guarantees you will not receive your full monthly entitlement from the VA. There is no actual break between classes, but the way UoP reports it, you have 1 week off between classes, even though it is a normal homework week and identical in work load to any other week. They know this screws the veteran and shorts their monthly entitlement yet their only response is it s policy . They cannot explain how this policy is logical nor will they even try.

UOP has also changed the way they handle Pell Grants disbursements that screws veterans over. My courses are guaranteed to be paid for by the VA. However, UoP will keep your Pell Grant disbursement from you until the VA has made payment, as if they are afraid of not being paid by the government. Their need to hold your funds for security from the government, outweighs your need for them to complete your program. I was told I would not receive my final disbursement until the VA pays for my final class. This means I will receive a Pell Grant disbursement 2 months after graduating, how does that make sense? When I asked finance, they stuttered and agreed that it was a bad policy, yet they had no power to fix it.

It s a business more so than it is a school, keep that in mind if you can t figure out why they would enact so many illogical or unfriendly student policies.

I look forward to the VA pulling your eligibility UOP. Have fun fighting the US Government in court. I m not surprised at all that the Federal Trade Commission has accused UoP in engaging in deceptive recruiting and advertising practices. UoP paid $191 million to settle, so save the claims of innocence. UoP is about the least veteran friendly organization I have ever worked with. I completed a BSB there but I do not recommend this school to anyone.

I am currently enrolled in Phoenix and may end up dropping it altogether. I would like to clarify at the beginning of this post that I am a diligent, hard-working student but my lifestyle is also busy with religion and work. I currently hold a GPA of 3.84 and I have about 10 classes left to finish my schooling. I am a working adult.

However, because of my major apparently I am REQUIRED to take certain online courses, which are more expensive and MUST be taken online due to not having them at any campuses near where I live or even remotely close. Phoenix is not only expensive for the convenience of the schedule on-campus, but their online courses completely contradict everything about being convenient for the working-class individual. It is impossible for me to comment every day or every couple days online about a topic and elaborate on it and possibly not even get the substantial comment to count towards my participation!

I requested the class I am in now to be on-campus instead of online and they said it was not available. This was never made clear to me when I first signed on with UoP that there could be online classes filling in for the on-campus classes which are not available. I was under the impression from the enrollment counselor that if I wanted on-campus classes then that is what I will get 100%, since online classes are about 500$-700$ more per class.

On top of all of this my major will be incomplete in a sense when I finish because they are not providing me with everything that I need to work in this field. I will need to take supplemental classes to get by afterwards to make up for these massive gaps of training. These lacks of classes being provided to me were not clear until I knew more about my major from taking the classes. After I knew a little more about my major I started asking questions like "will this be provided to me in a class?" And they kept saying "no". What a joke.

Would I recommend University of Phoenix? No.

My thought is that they need to 1. Change their curriculum to a real-world setup with new information and 2. Actually cater to individuals who want campus classes and those who don't reasonably. Or at least make them aware that online classes may happen and that they cost much more than a regular class on-campus.

They take your money and treat you like garbage. If you owe them money they refuse to clear you for classes until you pay it in full even if you agree to make payments. They tell you one thing and do the opposite and then months later tell you that you owe a debt and tell you that you cannot pursue any further classes. God forbid you have bad weather in your area and lose power and cannot post attendance, they have an automatic system that drops you and they don't give a damn why you couldn't make attendance. They expect everyone to have a smart phone and post on the mobile app in those cases. SAD excuse for a University.

I have been to university for almost 3 years now and i have to be fighting for my rights and grades . In the beginning its all great until you are near completion, then you get some inhumane professor that don't care if you pass or not. Then these professor give you the dumbest reason why you didn't get graded. This is the second time a professor fail me simply Because they are cold and a riping off money for the university. Am tired of fight for my grades so am just going to quit and try to get student loan forgiveness. If you try to stand up to these people they make it hard for you move forward.

I spent a lot of time with this school and the lack of communication from counselors and advisers is surprising for the amount of money that is paid for classes. I was sent to collections for 2 classes I passed and should have been paid for by the VA. Finding it impossible to actually get in touch with someone to resolve this issue. They seem to respond quicker when you are a student but when you tell them enough is enough and you take your money and education somewhere else they don't care. I would find a better school before attending this one and spending your money.

I have direct billing through my work and i also applied for student loans to pay whatever my company did not cover. UOP decided to take first funds from my student loans instead of taking payments from my work. This was a mistake on their part which resulted in me having to pay $700 in interest from unsubsidized loans. They refused to correct their error and i was forced to pay the interest. Under no circumstances will i ever attend this school again.

These people are crazy. I was just simply looking into college and had decided it was not the right fit for me so when a recruiter called i explained to her i was not interested. For some reason she saw this as an invitation to try and change my mind. I continued to tell her no until i simply hung up. This was a week and a half ago and she calls me 4 times a day.

The idea was a good one until the university started laying people off without warning. Many have benefited in some way, the students that is, and that's always a plus. And a person with a Masters Degree got chosen to be over the university over a qualified person with a Doctorate? I hear it's the same in Savannah (campus). An inexperienced young woman with a Masters over the few there with Doctorates who do the work while she sits back and get the credit. What a joke! You new guys taking over, I would interview a good percentage of those who got the unfair treatment, especially the former directors and in academic administration staff, before you take over a bad reputation.

I am very happy with the University settings and the convenience of going into the classroom at my own free time. I have learned a lot, and I feel I am prepared for the field in which I am mejoring.

This is the worse school ever. It was ok when they offered campus classes and you could actually see someone. I have had issues from academics to financial aide. I have heard everything from sorry they are out on vacation to your account is on review for a manager for the last 18 months. You don t have an assigned finance counselor and the academic counselor does not call you to check in or anything. Teachers don t even respond to questions in a timely manner in order for you to be able to complete an assignment appropriately. Just don t waste your money or your time!!!

i got my undergraduate and now working on my Masters at U of P. Nothing was ever hidden. You have to do your homework and know what the heck you are doing and keep yourself informed and ask the right questions. You cannot expect people to do your work for you. The tuition and costs are laid out on their website plain as day. I did a ton of research on the degree I am working towards, the costs and responsible borrowing. I made sure I knew what the accreditation's were and that I can be licensed in my state.

Its work but my responsibility to know what I am signing up for. I loved the enrollment counselors, and can ACTUALLY get through to them and get personal responses same day most of the time unlike the bigger schools where you are lost in the crowd. I love this school and how its geared toward adults.

I am enrolled and I do not have anything bad to say. My academic counselor calls me every month just to see if I need anything. It's a little pricy but going to a brick and mortar is just not an option.

DO NOT ATTEND HERE. 0 STARS. This school is a money hungry waste of time. I ve been a student since 2015, in a four year program, and I still haven t graduated because the amount of times I was told everything was taken care of but a document was missing or a certain loan wasn t accepted in time etc. Now I m not set to graduate until the end of 2020 for the same reason. The financial department is all over the place. They have absolutely no idea what they re doing and every single time you call in or email, you get a different answer. It s disorganized, unhelpful, and straight up a waste of time. The turn over rate for their employees is disgustingly high so any time there s an issue (trust me, you ll have tons) you have explain a situation OVER AND OVER. Recently they started making me pay $200 a month just to CONTINUE classes for being underfunded. THEN I find out I am actually eligible for loans that never got applied to my courses. Where did that money go? God only knows. After fighting with them for OVER A MONTH they finally said they re gonna send me a check for the amount to pay towards the loan. Here I am, two weeks later, still without said check. Then to top it off, I get a call 5 minutes before they close & when I return their call, no one picks up. Conveniently I get an email about taking ANOTHER LEAVE OF ABSENCE. I AM SICK AND TIRED of this school wasting my time and money. I should have never attended this place. BEWARE. YOU NEED TO RUN SO FAR IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THIS SCHOOL YOU NEVER HEAR THE NAME OF IT AGAIN.

Update: They just sent me an email that for the next academic year they can only award me with $1307.00 in loans. For an entire school year. My short fall is set to be $9600.00. They have absolutely NO IDEA what they re doing.

BEWARE VETERANS!!!

BEWARE VETERANS!!!

I just started online courses a few months ago and the university will only certify you as 3/4 time so you as a veteran using your GI bill lose 1/4 of your well earned allowances, but the university gets their full payment from the government. I spent hours on the phone with them, and since they are all for profit, I got a take it or leave it resolution. I immediately went online and submitted my official withdraw, and submitting a formal complaint with the VA! This university needs to be shut down just like the ITT Tech scam!!!
