Bad communication, no leadership, every man for its self. Can t find patient, then they transfer you to another wing of the hospital with no luck just back an forth. It the new kill a king hospital.

This is the worst service I ve ever experienced in a hospital. The front desk girls were so rude. My mom and I waited there since 11:30pm to 9am in the morning and they still wouldn t attend my mom. Girls in the front gave my mom attitude saying there s more people ahead that have bigger health issues. Girls there are literally stuck up and they even talk about you with their other coworkers right in front of you. Will never be coming here again.

the truth does not deserve any stars do not have wheelchairs for people who can not walk, most of the reasonable nurses, do not attend with good faces just spend time, are reasonable nooo nooo very bad hospital never again ire.estube 9 hours there in emergencies

Waiting rooms are so dirty and trashy !!
Restrooms have a bad urine odor ... It looks as if they don't clean very often . Nothing compared to the cleanliness of the newest renovated Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital.

I came in with horrible abdominal pain, turning out to be gallstones and I kept getting called on and sent back to the waiting room I came in at 1am it is now 9 in the morning I asked a nurse if he new how long it would take and he replys with a "yeah sorry they don't tell us when they are going to call you." I really don't believe this.

Security in saturday 3:00 pm no good bad service look what happened with the nurse you were training you think is a good service nooo

I had the worst experience ever I arrived with chest pain and hardly breathing. I checked in at 1:30pm and checked out at 4:45am the next day that's more then 15 hours this is outrageous what is wrong with this hospital emergency. Then I have to wait so long with so much pain I have nothing on my mind but pain and I had my husband with me to help me out and he could not come in with me because of their policy what is all that about I needed help and I did not get it I truly do NOT recommend this hospital at all their employees are HORRIBLE....

I came in the emergency room with abdominal pain and fever. I was sent home. Four days later I went back to the ER again. With the CT, we found a ruptured appendix(medical emergency) and septic. Doctors, nurse practitioners, and nurses don t listen and they don t care.

I have never gone to an emergency room and waited as long as I am waiting here. There aren't that many people in this waiting room but some of these people were here before I got here and their names haven't even been called. The thing that I don't understand is that when you get here they have a nurse look at you they take all the tests that they need to and so in the end you really just waiting on results. It doesn't make any sense why they can't have a doctor read results to you and why you have to wait for her room which can take hours. They don't tell you how long it's going to be which although I understand I still think is fairly dumb. What they will tell you is that the longest wait time is 10 hours and then let you know how long you've been there and tell you to count down from there. Over all the nurses that I experienced were good and or nice and for that reason I would probably give it three stars. But other than that I will absolutely never come back here and it's a huge disappointment. The people at the front could definitely use some work with the exception of this one really nice lady who tries. It should not take this long to get results back and when I asked them if I could get my results the next day and take it to my doctor so I don't have to wait here because I have work in 4 hours they told me that it would take 3 to 5 business days for me to be able to get that. It's just frustrating because when they send blood back it doesn't take 3 hours, and x-ray doesn't take 3 hours for the results, what's taking so long it's simply that they are waiting for a room for somebody to be able to read me my results that is ridiculous.

I always come to that place all the time they have good doctors

Horrible. Absolute horrendous how they treat patients here for the ER.
My mother came in at 11:30 am for a dog bite that left a hole on the side of her leg & needed a skin graft and was only seen by the nurse twice in the 13 HOURS that she waited for a doctor. Only because I complained that she stay longer than they wanted her because it was the least they can do for having her wait so long. I understand it's an emergency and they have lots of patients and probably minimum bed but maybe they should add more doctors on call for being such large hospital. Half the hospital was filled with homeless people just looking for a place to sleep ! So it wasn't so busy for the SECOND TIME we had to wait because the nurse messed up on putting her gauze on her wound & ended up sticking to her open flesh . My mother never left the hospital in the past 2 days because she was waiting for a doctor to see her every time. They also discharged her and made her lose her place in line because they called her name "3x" even though we were waiting right by the door.

Honestly, never coming here again.

Dont ever want to have to come back here again. They're pretty much, in the way instead of out. They all had attitudes and all refuse to listen. You get fired for having an attitudes and being rude to patients. Its ER's wait time is exactly 24hrs. For an emergency. Well the nurses run everything. Not even the drs have a say. All I remember were those nurses. All 10 of em. Then once they were done with me they handed me off to an even worse facility.

This review is only for labour floor, had my baby last year and was so happy with everyone who helped...thank you so much you all made my pain a little easier.....by the way i don't recommend coming here for check ups or for childrens clinic they all have attitudes seriously.... But don't hesitate to give birth in their hospital the best first baby so it made it easy...

I wouldn't come here if my life depended on it. I've never seen staff so incompetent in my entire life. Every time I have come here I have had a problem. You would have better treatment going to a veterinary clinic in Tijuana. This hospital offers negligent care and a world of problems.

This hospital save my life and I thank every doctor that work here I don't care with nobody say about this but last year August 3,2014 around 4am I was rushed to this hospital after being found in south la shot up to death 5times in my back and 1 to the back of my head I don't remember anything that night but I woke up like 3days later in this hospital with a colostomy bag on my stomach and a carotid stent replacement today makes it a year of my recovery I am doing way better I am now just waiting for surgery for my colostomy replacement but I just want to thank every dotcor that work here I want to thank the ambulance who brought me here this was the worst day of my life but I love this hospital....... #thanks #harborucla #doctors

Worst experience at this hospital
I came in for a allergic reaction, they gave me a pill and made me sit outside for 12 hours and still no help my face is still swollen I have big rashes but no one can help
The first RN that helped me was very nice and concern on how I was doing, but everyone else was so rude seamed like I was asking for they paycheck. The two nurses in the lobby we so rude and were no help, one was being so rude and smart with her comments about my visit; the other one was giving me so much push back and a attitude. This hospital has to get it together and help out sick patients just like the injured, honestly 12 hours and everyone that came after me left before 6 hours; I mean I don't mind sitting outside with everyone else but give me something for my rashes and swelling. At the end the doctor was great I was helped by the same RN if I could rate them too I it would be But everyone else has to go to a cast training ASAP .

Very slow on getting patients seen by a doctor. It's a shame how the service is here .i wouldn't recommend coming here if it was even a emergency.

Saw a doctor earlier at a clinic and was told might have apendicitis or cysts in my ovaries to go to an ER. Came in around 7pm, shared my symptoms pain was about an 8. It s almost 6am I ve been given two rounds of norco and still haven t seen a doctor, nor do I know what s wrong with me. I don t really feel like they re taking my pain serious. They could have just sent me home and told me to come back when the doctor was ready to see me instead of having me wait in the waiting area for hours uncomfortably. Met a lady who had cancer and she had been waiting since 2pm. I just don t get it.

I WAS BORN THERE AT THAT HOSPITAL AND I CAME OUT JUST FINE.GOOD DOCTORS AND STAFF IN 1973.THE 2ND TIME WHEN I WENT THERE WAS WITH MY HUSBAND IN 2011 FOR A SPIDER BITE AND THE DOCTORS TOOK HIM LESS THAN 20 MIN TO GET OPERATED ON HIS HAND,THE ONLY THING WHEN MY HUSBAND WAS GETTING ADMITED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM THEY DID NOT LET ME GO IN THE ROOM WITH HIM .95% THE HOSPITAL IS GOOD IN MY BOOKS.

This is the 2nd worst hospital here in southern LA area. These people take their time and get to you when they want to. You can be dying and they still won't move. I camed into this hospital at 3pm yesterday thinking I was coming to a hospital that doesn't take long with their patients and come to find out I'm still sitting in the same spot 14 hours later in pain waiting to see the doctor. I don't recommend nobody to come here, this hospital has the worst employees ever. Ugh

Horrible staff very rude and inconsiderate. It hurts me to write such a mean review, but how do people work in a hospital and have such a horrible attuide. Something drastic happen to my family only reason we have to contact the hospital you would think people would have a little compassion.

this place sucked.i was in the mental hospital part of this medical center and it was overcrowded and there was only like 10 rooms for atleast 30 people. forget that. they should shut this place down and make a new one that is bigger.

I brought my wife in this facility! She informed them that she had cramps! They took her to a room will she remained for hours. 9 hours to be exact. Be scared when they say blood work that could take forever, they must FEDEX IT out of the country! Good luck. If you get out of there in two hours or less you got to have connections with someone on the staff!

Is no free hospital if you don't have insurance anyway they send you bill

My wife has pain and the service in "emergency room" is mediocre we have to wait more than 8 hours for a doctor to diagnose us and there are people waiting for 18 or more hours in an alleged emergency room that mediocre service this does not It is a free institution you charge for your mediocre services

horrible my girlfriend waited with her mom who was in so much pain and who has a history of a tumor in her brain..for 14hrs and they still didn't call her in to see the doctor...they need to worry more about the patients and not socializing with the ppl the work with so much ...

There is a behind the scenes documentary that clearly shows, in graphic detail, why the wait is so long. On netflix search for code black and it will change the way you think about this hospital and it's staff.

My dad who is on medi-cal went here to have his prostate removed due to advanced cancer. I am impressed with the level of service my dad eceived from EVERYONE from the security guards to the ones that deliver the meals, to the lady running the gift shop, to the ladies that pick up the trash, the doctors, the nurses, the anesthesiologist, the pharmacists, including the robot that performed the surgery.I felt that everyone treated my dad like he was the only patient there and I absolutely loved the fact that they genuinely cared about his state of health and how his operation went. I will never forget the employees asking "don Fernando" how he was feeling. Kudos to everyone on the fourth floor east they all deserve a raise. Oh also keep up the great work on your Spanish. In short everyone at this hospital went above and beyond to help out my father.

If I can rate this hospital a one star I would!
My mom went to the ER due to her loosing a lot of blood. Knowing my mom was loosing a lot of blood they had her wait in the waiting room for 3 HOURS! Finally they called her in they had the audacity to tell her she needs a blood transfusion due to loosing to much blood. I couldn t keep my mouth shut on that one. I told the nurse if you guys would of admitted her right away she wouldn t need a blood transfusion! The nurse responded we have other patients as well . When he said that I told him when we were walking in right now I saw at least 3 rooms EMPTY! He had no response of course.

I know this hospital has good doctors and nurses but they need to step up when it comes to patients having serious conditions like my mom.

It's a racist hospital with Hispanics even if they have jello they don't speak Spanish to you

You sometimes get tired of being in a chair but there is sofas and there's a gift shop which you can buy stuff and if you don't want anything from there you can go to the cafeteria which is located on the right of the elevators.

Only go here if your shot even that's pushing it! Go to little company of marry or Torrance memorial before you to hella waiting room. From the staff to the parking all around terrible establishment! I would how ever recommend this place to my worst enemy this is just perfect for someone your really hate and want to die

Wish there was a way to put 0 stars, but unfortunately I can t. We ve been waiting over 8 hours in total and over three hours just to hear from the doctor. I m going back to kaiser, I rather wait three hours than be here for 8++++ hours. Save your time and just head out to another hospital, plus it s dirty and blood around chairs.

I had sergury for my gallbladder and was released the same day. The following day, I went back(emergency room) because of severe pain. I had to wait 14 hours in the waiting room. Recuperating from my gallbladder surgery. 14 hours to see a doctor. It has been my worst visit at this hospital. I am disappointed in the team work this hospital has done today. I hope to get my process over with and never come back. Unsatisfied with the way they run there system.

After reading the reviews , I was leery to go to Urgent Care. Possibly some of these reviews are for the emergency room though as the Urgent Care clinics hours are 7:30 am to 9 pm, so it would not be possible to be waiting for care for a full 24 hours as per some of the reviews I read. I felt the wait time was reasonable although I purposly did not go in during peak hours. I did have to wait a bit for the discharge papers, but it wasn't crazy. All of the staff were very friendly and respectful

The most NASTY PLACE EVER, the clinicwas nasty, someone threw upon the floor and they left the towels and throw up on the floor and didn't bother cleaning it up, also they told me they wouldn'ttake my insurance after they say the would, got tothe clinicand they said they can't see because we don'ttake your insurance, they never called or said anything. They are no help, they wanted us to get they insurance... the place is nasty not clean and the staff is horrible.

Today I am frustrated...... I have gotten excellent care here a few times. I've gotten very poor care too, which forced me to get properly treated at other hospitals. Harbor UCLA saved my life 2011, but the bureaucratic hoops that you have to jump through and endure are nearly unbearable. There are Great employees at Harbor UCLA, Yet the unprofessional employees that patients are at times forced to tolerate in order to get good care make people wish they could go anywhere Except Harbor UCLA. I know that the majority of the employees are excellent and doing the best that they can have their jobs, at the same time, if the customers could weigh in on how the remainder are doing their jobs, I'd speculate that at least 10% of that work force would be fired tomorrow. But this is what happens when there are guaranteed government jobs with no job oversite creates a insular attitude where all you have to do is clock in and clock out no matter how good a job you do or how bad a job to do. The public health system (MediCal) is chronically underfunded, but there was apparently enough money to renovate the ER Dept and other sections of the hospital. In the grand scheme of things, being underfunded is not a reason for keeping employees that are just there to punch a time card and be dismissive of patients just because they can. An electric patient satisfaction survey needs to be at every department desk, just like the more effective and efficient hospitals have. I am on my way back to Harbor UCLA for the FOURTH time because the urgent care clinic doctor said she'd make sure I got my prescription this time, but like before, did not put an override on my medication to the insurance company. Having spent 40+ hours at the ER and Urgent Care, I needed the medication yesterday.......

Seems to be a well kept hospital with a reputable staff. The only drawback is parking and especially handicapped parking is nearly impossible to find.

Waiting hours is unscrupulous terrible maybe flight to Mexico to see a public facility would make more sense. I did not experience the doctors yet just got inside the doctors waiting room after exactly 12 hours ER waiting room

Womans clinic is the worst. Appointments take over 3 hours. Come prepared with a snack and water. I always see a different doctor I always feel rush and often forget what I intended to ask. This is my first pregnancy and I won't recommend someone to experience the same. I felt the appointments were pointless.

The emergency room for the Pediatric is really good it beats waiting with the adults waiting for long periods of time the doctors and staff are pretty good they really take care of business edible hospital is this is the emergency room that I'd like to come to for my children

I have never ever stayed at an emergency so long 15hrs. I have been at different emergency rooms before that have been busy. This was nothing that looked busy. To stay that long is ridiculous. They need to improve.

one of my friend say this hospital no charge from pations.but as soon i get there african american black guy ask me to register for pay.but i ask how much i shuld pay.he told me it will be end of sessorn.so i told him im good and say bye.they are crooks.person like me doesent have insurence very helpless,they must tell the amount in advance,but all the time they charge $900 to $1900.it is too high pay from poor patios pocket,peoples doesent have insurence all;ways helpless.i saw most of doctors talking long coversation over cell phones and nerses plying solitere medical computers.dont go there you will rather die.

Worst hospital ever! Don't go here unless you want to die. The ER average wait time is 19hrs. I am not exaggerating it is true especially if you don't have insurance. they purposely make you wait so that u can leave because they don't want to take uninsured patients (the secret is out). I wonder how the nurses n doctors sleep at night knowing how many people they let down.
Listen, hind the reviews and go to another ER or hospital. Save ur time and money and most importantly your life by going someplace else.

1st time: my mom had passed out so we took her . She had high blood pressure they did not let her go to restroom so they gave her the pail. The nurse did not remove it after she left it there ! then another nurse gets a attitude with me because it was there talking about they will "cited for that" and that the nurse needs to remove the urine. I said well aren't you a nurse? i was very angry thats their job as states and gets mad at me !. she just left it there ! another person had to come remove it .

2nd, I got into car accident they say that is more urgent right well took a docotor to come see me 6 hours!!! and another 6 hours because she needed someone to read my xrays. hate hate hate it. nvr again

Well first i would say Wow! I was born at this Hospital in 1969. And I've been a patient here for many things.
I was treated with the up most kindness by the Doctors and Nurse's here.
Since i been here last 2006 for an ear infection, The Hospital has remodeled and added so many new facilities for Health Servies, and more. (Two thumbs up)
Today i had to visit the Emergency room and my visit was not long and again the Nurses were Awesome!!!
Can't remember there names. But 5 stars to all of them.

This is the absolute worst hospital. My brother was in the emergency room waiting for hours and they didn't want to attend him in the end because he "didn't have insurance." He did. He needed surgery!!! Whoever runs this hospital shouldn't be qualified to. The staff isn't professional at all. They could risk the lives of others because of their incompetence.

Came in lost and broken. By the time I get home I don't recognize my reflection, those doctors transformed me back to shiny and new. Thanks Dr. Hoshino. Thank you Dr. Taylor aka Dr pain.
P. S. I really don't know what happened to the wound vac.
This is a wound that will not heal, due to the neglect of the othopedics Dept, on the original surgery july 8th 2018.

WORST HOSPITAL!!!
I went in there with 10+ pain at 7pm got pain medication 2hours later but threw it all up. Then they made me go back to the waiting room to wait for a room and see a doctor just to be called 3 hours later just to change and wait another 2 hours inside. Told 3 different nurces if they knew how much longer I would see the doctor, they would say let me go check and never came back Smh the nurses there are so rude and don't really care for patients. I ended up take everything off and walked to the front to say I was leaving cause I wasn't being helped. ALL of the nurces there were just on the phone or on the computer talking to each other and making jokes while I was in a room waiting!!! I don't undertand how theres people that say they've been treated good here. Never ever going back there.

Parking is Horrible. MUST Come least 1hour early. People are arguing for parking spot.
Hospital is good.

Took my dad to the ER a few months ago for vision problems and he received a very good service. They gave him an appointment with an ophthalmologist for two weeks later. Everyone is giving him an excellent service and health care.

Personally, I am treated in some areas of the hospital, but with regard to maternity, it seems that OB doctors are urged to have babies born before ... and they get upset when one does not allow the practice to advance the delivery. Too bad my medical coverage can only be there. Personally my 2 pregnancies bad experience in OB and motherhood.
