What I like the most in this place when I saw the bridge opening
I have been waiting for that moment for so long, the sad thing is you don t know when it happens.

The area generally good with few food and dirnks huts , coffees and food shops are everywhere

I only walked round the square. I noticed all the bollards and concrete blocks sited round the edge. Presumably to stop attacks. It looked quite discreet - and you can sit down on the blocks. Not a bad gig.

The square toilets charge 50p to use - but you don't find that out til you're actually inside. Obviously a rip off.

Visiting the Tower of London is a must. We dedicated a good part of our day to the visit and it was not nearly enough, so start early as they close by 5pm. This is not a castle or a manor, this is a prison that dates back to 1078. It's quite hard to wrap yourself around that bit of history and know you are standing within those walls. There are character actors that walk around and explain their role at the Tower of London, which provide a little fun to the whole learning experience. From the carvings in the prison walls to the crown jewels, the battle armor and fortress, the Tower of London holds so much history that you really need the extra time to view it all.

Much better than Windsor Castle. There's a lot more to see here. The castle leads to to the many towers each with a piece of history stored in it. The tour looked interesting, but wasn't able to join in. The beefeater tour was short because of something going on, but it was super informative and funny. Couldn't see the crown jewels because the line is very long.

Really cool history. Decent flow through major high points but lots of log jams where people movement grinds to a halt. Crown jewels are amazing; line is shortest first thing in the morning. Group tours offered for free. Electronic guides also available for a fee. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.

Amazing place, ruined by the volume of people. So much awesome history and a fantastic building. But it took about forty minutes to get in to see the crown jewels, even then such hordes around the displays that you couldn't see much. Even around the rest of the site, my small kids have rarely been knocked over and bashed into by so many careless adults. Glad we went, but I wouldn't hurry back.

I enjoyed my tour emenesly. The crown jewels exhibit was so impressive! Must go there and take time to walk around, I was among the last tours of the day and had less than 1 hour to see it all. So much history at this place!

Beautifully kept and maintained buildings with very informative displays of the history of one of the oldest places in London. If visiting during the winter holidays, the lights all around make for a beautiful scene.

Tower of London is #1 attraction in the city. Just do not miss it. It is loaded with history, and superbly maintained and presented to visitors. See the Crown Jewels and the many historical spots. Do not miss the free guided tour conducted by a Beefeater, one of the traditional guards of the tower in costume.

Was a great day out. The Crown Jewels was rather special. Apart from the queue, glad we did this 1st,as queue was about 2hrs long when we by the time we actually came out. Didn't do the White Tower ad kneed would not cope with the 300 steps.

I went with my family on a crowded, hot day and we were there for about 3 hours. It was interesting, but I would have needed to spend more time there to really get a better sense of the history of the place. We felt like we were pushed through the rooms quickly by the pressure of the people behind us, leaving us little time to read all the plaques and whatnot. We waited in line for like 15 minutes to get into the room with "The Rack" and we probably spent 2 minutes in there because it just didn't seem like there was much to see, and I knew everyone else in line was being tortured by the sun while waiting to get in.

Grand tourist attraction with plenty of history. Unfortunately only got to see it on Christmas day so I did not get a chance to do the tour. However the area has been done up well and the tower itself is quite beautiful.

One of the coolest stops on the Touristy locations of London! Definitely take the tour with one of the Beefeaters, head to the church, see the prison graffiti and, of course, you can t miss the best part: the Crown Jewels. I went on the conveyor belt four times to see them over and over again.

Steeped in history but exhibits while interesting seems very dated and not up to the standard of other museums / places of historical interest. However, a big shout out to the excellent costumed performets who gained an extra star on their own.

Great time, the Yeoman tour really made it for us. If you visit here I can ensure you that taking this tour will make all the difference. Our Yeoman delivered all the fact in an engaging and hilarious manner.

Beautiful place but too many people, and it was not even summer. The history is extremely interesting and displays are well done. However, one had to wait in line for quite some time for each exhibit. Would not recommend for little ones or the elderly.

One of the best historical landmarks in the world. So much history in one place and amazingly well preserved. The royal armoury is outstanding and the crown jewels are an absolute one of a kind. Only downside is that there are lots of tourists and children running about.

It is the oldest of palace/fortress built in London, by William the conqueror, thats why it is not that huge, but being old it is connected to a list of historical events and many bloody executions.
Best part about this place is of course, display of crown jewels. That is something you would not see anywhere else. Like Kohinoor diamond, and the biggest one which is close to 500+ carats.
You would need 4 hours, or 3 hours with bit of rush to complete this place. Try to visit crown jewels, later, as queue will be much smaller.

We really enjoyed our visit.

We really enjoyed our visit.
I would definitely recommend The Tower of London to anyone.
It's not expensive for what is on offer, you have a day of interesting history that would take you back to the beginning of London City.
You would have a Royal Beefeater give you a tour, with lots of interesting facts about the the royalty who lived and died in the Tower.
It's a must for the family day out!!
There is also a good restaurant where you could get a good lunch and dessert, and great coffee to wash it down with.
Toilet facilities and wheelchair friendly.

So much fun! The historical feel of the castle hits you the second you walk through the gate. Endless things to see including the Royal Crown Jewels and armor collections throughout the ages. Staff is very helpful and informative and offer you tablets with headphones to take your own guided tour for those that dont like groups. Lastly it offers an amazing view of the Tower Bridge located right on the Thames river. Must see!

Absolutely fabulous. Allow a good 4 hours. It's beautiful with an incredible history. Whilst there are a lot of people there it doesn't feel touristy!!!!!. TIP if you do the yeomans tour ( free ) you don't really need the audio as it is really thorough. WELL WORTH THE COST.

So much history in these walls.

So much history in these walls.
Give yourself an entire day to soak it all in. See the crown jewels, the white tower, the Ravens, and all 10 if the "must-sees" in the guidebook. Also, the beefeater tours are entertaining and full of great knowledge!

We were very interested in going through the tower, unfortunately when we got there, it was drizzling so the guided tour was cancelled. We tried to get in to see the Crown Jewels but the line was very long. We then tried to do the self guided tour with the headphones but it was an additional cost for the headphones after we had already paid the admission.

First Beefeater tour at 10:30, got Beefeater Dave - a real character! Interspersed the history lesson with his own hilarious anecdotes. Large crowds but don't worry - a prerequisite for being a Beefeater is 20+ years in the armed forces and a rank of at least sergeant major - so these are tour guides with a good set of lungs on them! The Beefeater tours are more like an overview to guide you on detailed explorations on your own so don't panic about taking photos every time you stop, you can go back if you're snap happy. There are souvenir shops all over the place but sadly I was unable to find a Tudor Rose or a raven pin (please restock!). A wonderful day out, and you'll surely get your step count up!

If you don't take one of the Beefeater tours that begin on the left hand side just as you walk in you are missing out. Make sure to walk down the gravel path to the left about 50 feet because that's where the tour begins not in front of the sign. If you stand in front of the sign and congregate there the Beefeater tour guide will certainly make fun of you!

Absolutely stunning place to visit, filled with history and captivating even if you are not a history buff. We spent the entire day and were never bored. Special Thank You to Yeoman Warder Briggs, Miss Anissa with the Crown Jewels, and Mr. Gareth with the White Tower for your stellar tours and providing our daughter with an experience that was truly once in a lifetime. Every single assistant we encountered was absolutely helpful, patient, and kind.

We had a wonderful experience with this fantastic yeoman of the guard. The tour was a riotous success with heaps of humour packed in with an amazing amount of historical information and anecdotes. Although entry to places in London can be a little daunting, at the end you can upgrade your ticket to all 6 historical palaces for not too much more, and that's for a whole year.
Don't miss this.

Really beautiful place. Being there was like being in Games of Thrones. It is a really all village in the middle of London.

About the exhibition, everything is worth it, from the old King rooms, to the Crown Jewelry exhibition, everything was really good.

The views from inside the complex are amazing. One of the best views of the Tower Bridge, City of London skyscrapers and the Shard.

And the contrast between the old inside and the new skyscrapers is amazing!

100% recommended.

Being disabled the staff were amazing. Even said I could get moved up the cue having the Lardon on. Which a Beefeater did. However there were far to many steps for a person with my kind of disability Fibromyalgia.

Must see in London, definitely with the guide!

Must see in London, definitely with the guide!
I had a chance to visit this place from inside on my last day in London and definitely it's worth to see. Especially I recommend to take a tour guided by Yeoman who tells a lot of interesting histories (tortures, beheading and stuff like that especially) that happened on the Tower.

Love walking through so much history. The Beefeaters give great tours or you can go on your own with the help of a guide book. We spent 3 hours and we really had to rush towards the end. They have a food hall which was okay, nothing wonderful but filled the hollow tooth. Washrooms were quite difficult to find. It was extremely interesting and well worth the visit. The crown jewels were amazing. The ravens are still there. Go if you can. We were lucky to go in November so they were lighting over 10, 000 lights in honour of our fallen vets, which took quite awhile and really brought out thousands of people which made me feel slightly claustrophobic.

This is an enormous property with a great history. I would budget at least half a day to properly explore all the areas. The highlight for me was getting a chance to see the crown jewels in person - they are stunning. One tip: Go later in the day - it will be much less crowded and the line to get into the building with the crown jewels will have almost no wait within one hour of closing time.
