First Beefeater tour at 10:30, got Beefeater Dave - a real character! Interspersed the history lesson with his own hilarious anecdotes. Large crowds but don't worry - a prerequisite for being a Beefeater is 20+ years in the armed forces and a rank of at least sergeant major - so these are tour guides with a good set of lungs on them! The Beefeater tours are more like an overview to guide you on detailed explorations on your own so don't panic about taking photos every time you stop, you can go back if you're snap happy. There are souvenir shops all over the place but sadly I was unable to find a Tudor Rose or a raven pin (please restock!). A wonderful day out, and you'll surely get your step count up!
