I had a minor surgery here and all I can say that every staff member was very nice, caring and sweet.
I like that they have pharmacy right there and you can pick up your prescriptions right there with no wait. I was impressed and enjoyed my time there, I felt well cared for by everyone.

Son was diagnosed with seizure disorder days after first seizure in June 2013. Followed up a month later with EEG and other tests. Staff went out of their way to make my son as comfortable and relaxed as possible; as well as my husband and I. =) Continue to have follow-ups at a satellite center closer to home, we love the neurologists and staff!

For anyone looking to get their COVID test, especially for international travel (increasingly some airlines and countries are asking for negative tests from no older than 72/96 hours), this is hands down THE PLACE to go to in Boston.

Yes the lines are long, so get to 171 Harrison St early. If you show up at 7 AM on a weekday morning, you'll only have to wait an hour (they open at 8 AM) and you'll be out by 8:30 AM.

The staff is professional and their Medical Records department is top notch. I had my negative results emailed to me in 24 hours. Kudos to the folks that are going above and beyond providing this essential service.

The worst medical center I have been to in my life. They put me on a pill that ruined my immune system forever. I got colitis, migraines and all allergies. They could not cure! Then Doctor James Hellinger said he would call me and never even returned my calls.Leaving me very sick!

I have been a patient of Tufts for a couple of decades receiving all of my medical care there and recently decided to go elsewhere. While my PCP and OBGYN offices provided excellent care, their Dermatology Dept specifically was pretty bad. But, the main reason I decided to go somewhere else is because their billing practices, in my opinion, border on illegal. I have had an open dispute with them for over six months about a procedure that I was specifically told that I would not be billed for. Over the last 7 months I have sent a couple of letters, a handful of emails and about a dozen calls trying to get a status on the dispute. Their dispute dept. never reached out or even reviewed the matter until I sent a letter to the CEO 6 months in. Everytime I called I was told that the dispute had not been reviewed and that there was no indication that they even looked at the case, thought they had all the notes from my previous calls. When they finally did the review their decision was based on completely incorrect and false information. I responded immediately and now I'm back to waiting to hear from them. In the meantime they are now telling me that this will go into collections soon if I don't pay. Can I pay? Yes. But that's really not the point. It's really the principle. And while this is just one incident the experience has been so incredibly negative that I refuse to give them any more of my money. I suggest you do the same and save yourself some serious headaches.

I quite literally owe this hospital my life. I came in an inch from dead, and they invented a whole new way to save me, on the spot. Every doctor and every nurse cared for me with warmth, attention to detail, and superb medical practice, both in my hospitalization and all the followup visits. I intend to remain in the area so I can continue to receive my health care here.

This Hospital its most wors Hospital i seen in my life most staff and Nures are so unprofessional and its unhelpfull I realy do have bad experience with them in labor and delivery unit .
Worst care ever in their labor and delivery one lie after another, one excuse after another. Wouldn't wish this hell-hole on my worst enemy. I hope this medical center goes bankrupt and shuts down SOON!

Have been a patient at Tufts for a week and will be a patient on April 22 for EEG telemetry monitoring of my seizure disorder with hopes of surgery down the road. The Neuro team is fantastic, especially Dr. Joel Oster. The nursing staff is world class and services provided are great. My family founded Mass General
but we go to Tufts Medical Center for treatment now. That should tell you something !

My 81, now 82, year old Father broke his ankle last September in his assisted living facility and had surgery at Tufts. After two casts it finally came off and he was in a boot. However upon the boot being removed we noticed his repaired right ankle that his foot is now crooked and her cannot straighten it out. He's in a wheelchair and can't use that ankle to push the chair while he's wheeling it. Not sure who to talk to about this since it seems to me that this shouldn't be the case, appears that someone did something wrong in resetting his ankle. And somehow during all follow up visits etc no one at Tufts could notice it was healing crookedly,??.

It has been over a week and I haven't heard back from Amanda the supervisor of the orthopaedic dept or anyone from the higher up. I missed one call from her, but I have left her 3 messages. Posted on their
Facebook hoping someone could reach out to me, but nothing. I suppose Tufts could care less about patients' concerns and complaints. Who knows if they are doing the same thing to other people. I suppose the news need to know about this just so many others can avoid this problem.

I delivered my first child here, a preemie. The NICU is great. Its a teaching hospital so repeat your plans to multiple staff. One area of improvement would be to not have 5 different doctors come into your room 24 hrs postpartum to ask you 100 times why you aren't choosing a birth control plan yet. I'm 31 and have been married for 9 years... I think we know what we're doing. Other than that it was a good experience.

charged $800 for a 5 minute check up by Isha Tiernan, Dermatologist, when I was told it would be a regular office visit fee by the front office (they add a facility hidden fee). More importantly, this doctor literally walked out without asking me if I had any questions or concerns.

When you are at the office they take care of you okay, however, good luck ever getting ahold of your doctor. The office told me I would be called regarding my tests results same day. I kept calling and didn't hear back til the next week when they call at a time I specifically said I would not be able to answer. It has now been two weeks since the testing. They called 2 minutes before I got off work and I called right back, but since the doctor had called me after business hours I could not be put through to them. I do not feel at this point that they care to help me at all.

I hear the complaints about having to wait too long for your nurse to answer the call bell or to get something for you. All hospitals are giving nurses too many patients and it will only get worse if Question 1 doesn't pass. VOTE YES on QUESTION 1 and you will get better care. Hospital administrators are telling you a bunch of lies to prevent the bill from passing. I've been a nurse for 41 years. I know what I'm talking about. QUESTION 1 / VOTE YES

Hospital treatment experience was very good. HOWEV...

Hospital treatment experience was very good. HOWEVER, dealing with the billing department was atrocious. I received calls for payments prior to receiving bills in the mail. On multiple occasions I confirmed my address with them, however they never updated my record. They then managed to send an emergency physicians bill to collections (which was only $88.90) because I refused to pay a bill which didn't align with my explanation of benefits (which said I owed $200+). The reps were unhelpful in clarifying and setting up a payment plan wasn't negotiable. If you are in Boston, go to a different hospital. We have plenty of good ones, where you'll get the same level of care, and less of the headache after the fact.

So I was extremely sick and went to the ER on a Sunday but I had to wait for a very long time. I was feeling extremely dizzy and could even sit straight for that long but had to push myself to do so. After finally getting called in, I was made to wait till the doctor came to the room again! Dear people I highly suggest that you do not come to this hospital if there is an emergency or if you need to be treated immediately. Please go somewhere else where they will see to you immediately. The management in the hospital is terrible. No efficiency and patients with serious conditions are made to wait for hours. Not worth coming here. Go get treated in a place where they give immediate treatment and no one has to wait like this! Please guys, I am honestly typing this out of pure experience. Save yourselves some valuable time. Thanks

I was mis diagnosed by Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital doctor Amatruda dr. Lee I saw over 10 BIDMC Dr's who told me I was inoperable and continue to be paralyzed. I was in bed for over 3 years. At the height of it I was told by a BIDMC DR Lee "That it was all my fault for allowing myself to lose all the muscle mass" and this is what is causing my paralysis....... Simple. I went to Tufts neurosurgery and saw Dr krasinski for a second opinion. DR Krasinski did a procedure that I've been asking for on my crushed L4 disc and I was walking the next day.

Hey Magan you sound sad af and retarded. Fr why dont you walk in the facility yourself and find how wonderful it is. You claim your not from MA and 3 weeks bfr delivery your comlaining about a tour and talking about experience listen carfully sped how can u call anything horrible if you claim you have yet stepped foot i can claim experience i have had all my babies here and uts been a great experience. Where ever your from i bet you shared a room. NEMC provides your own privacy phone and tv and foid service. While family can visit u around the clock and your baby never leaves your side. While your on here complaining like a cow how about you stop looking into the spurut relm of things and just be seen regualarly for the pre natal care bfre delivery! And enjoy it til the big day.. This hospital takes care very well and i love how neat and professional tgis facility is. Very fine Doctors and nurses who know exactly how to get the job done. And i love tge fact this place is very skilled i can say expensive work. I love the aisians and the Europeans very intelligent people. Including Many others here. In proforming C section i can say wow amazing at making sure delivery was success the beautiful gifts were born Five years apart through Cesearian. And its the best experiance bcs your taken care of closley and well. Stay was just under a week and healing was quick esp when you can breastfeed consistantly, baby helps wth healing process and uterus goes back to normal going home your feeling back to normal self in a matter of two weeks time still need to take it easy continue the breastfeeding its Amazing . benifits are your Vag is still tight . .. Bikini cut heals good at hospital. Dr. Are close and monitor well. I dont get how anyone can say tuffs is bad. You MAY HAVE LIST YOUR MIND AND MAY BE MENTALLY INSANE. I would go here before anybody bmc your sharing a room . i webt to see my friend and she had a neighbor and sheet covering otger half of small corupted room sad. So glad my four beautiful ones were born in TUFFS. 3 c sections only one natural birth by vag. First born .sec bb was emergency C- and they took great care. After being high risk yes they do honor and take care and it feels so good in labor and delivery nice unit clean big rooms private bathroom and baby always at your side chairs sofa and table stand tv phone and Nurse checking you around the clock. I will go back anyday. Unfortunatly i moved got married and live now in the State of NYC. Im 6 months prego today 26wk and 1 day today i am only here to compare what i researched from hospitals from NYC to look back at my tuffs and found that many of you are no different yet run your mouths when you have not really been in my shoes. You cant complain of time with a low issue to be seen. Many others conditions are more then yours dont complain and everyone cannot always be seen so fast esp if yours isnt that important and for a person to complain based on phone calls alone to judge and say hospital is worst cause you could not get through your crazy. If you want something done then get off the chair. And move... Dont knock nurses or dr. Just because it did not go fine for YOU. thats you! .. It isnt me!!!... So ppl really need to be engadged if they want to experience real help. Injuries must be truly servere also to be seen at its quickest grow up ppl. Any ambitious woman looking to give birth here your in great hands! .. And this is from experience. Top knotch hospital also teaching hospital keep prospering! .. I want to thank my Dr for my care here and that is for all my births ive recieved. Overall biwind is also great womans health and pediatrics dep. Floating hospital for kids thnk you! ..We love you you have always been great.
P.s. i lke to be very expressive so others can understand nature of hospital and real honesty Its mny evil ppl out in this world that could knock you from recieving good care just remember that the Devil is in the world. u have to base knowledge on own real experiences first Stp checking cmnts ppl are mean and neg to get a lie across.

I have been visiting them almost for 4 yours, every-time i see my PCP, she order lab test, but they never send the result, always i have to call for request, and take forever poor customer service, my last result shows pre-diabetic, the doctor did not call me for follow up and plan to stabilize I think they do lab test just to create bills, not to monitor your health. Not recommended and I will no to see them again.

I called this hospital at least 4 times to find information about my brother on Christmas Eve. I was run around from nurses station to nurses station. I am very upset that service was incredibly horrible. On top of that my brother is deaf and I had no way of speaking with him directly. In the past this hospital has always been wonderful but as of now I would not want to deal with them ever again and would never recommend anyone calling in to find out information because you will be sorely disappointed.
And they do not staff any interrupters on a holiday so if you are deaf, good luck with communication.

See a doctor for 15 minutes. Get billed twice for the same thing ("'hospital' fee and 'physician' fee"). Totaling more than $1200. Get harassed by their billing department. The most corrupt hospital in America. The administration should be put in jail. I will never even consider going back to Tufts medical, and I warn anyone who is not a billionaire to stay far far away.

Well I'm supposed to be giving birth here in less ...

Well I'm supposed to be giving birth here in less than 3 weeks now and if I wasn't so far along I would change my hospital! I just moved to MA (as if that isn't stressful enough) so I didn't have much time to prep and get a new birth plan set up. I am not looking forward to giving birth here and actually very nervous that my experience will be as poor as the staffs communication skills. ALL I WANT IS A HOSPITAL TOUR. I haven't even seen the place and I guess I don't have the right to just show up and check out labor and delivery on my own- WHICH if you can't provide me with a tour I should at least be able to see the unit I'm going to be delivering my child in! I am IRATE I have been calling for weeks & have gotten absolutely nowhere!!! I am being told the same useless things and just going in circles. After being transferred to L&D I'm told that my doctor needs to set it up (who I didn't even have a chance of meeting yet) and was given Ashley's number. I called my OB in Braintree where I was also told to call Ashley but they allegedly had nothing else to do with the process. I called Ashley over a week or two span before anyone even answered the phone (you REALLY need to get a voice-mail set up). I gave all my information and was told I would receive a call back. Five days later (being today) I called back again where I gave my same information again to be told I will receive a call back after speaking to her supervisor- which I highly doubt will ever happen. Considering how far along I am, I don't have weeks to wait for a freaking phone call to set up a tour & it shouldn't be that hard (even if rooms are filled, I would like to see the unit and hospital itself)! I called L&D again who didn't even know if tours were single or groups, if I could register online, or if there was any other way I could go about it. All she said was to have my OB call them on my next appointment to see if they can give me a tour then. What in the actual hell is the difference if I call or her? I need the tour either way. I am so disappointed in my experience already and I haven't even stepped foot in the parking lot yet! Thanks for adding more stress to my pregnancy and giving me nothing but low expectations of your practice! Apparently I'm not the only one who had issues with l&d staff so maybe you should look into doing something different.

Tufts medical center in Boston CAN be an excellent hospital if they replace SOME of the nurses who don t appreciate when you call them and tell you give me 2 minutes and the 2 minutes become 2 days until you complain to someone and then all of the sudden they try to become pleasant. I can name one nurse but i won t. She is the worse that i have ever seen in any hospital.
The CCT are excellent. The doctors are excellent. The case managers and social workers are excellent.
Please look at some of your nurses and retrain them to be compassionate and ready to do their jobs which they are getting paid for.

Hate this place worst than Carney Hospital.
For two years I have been trying to see my PCP, Dr Jaclyn Chu. take five months to get an appointment for a physical. Then they call and cancel every time until the point she left the practice. Picked a new one waited another 6 months, only to find out they canceled it again. Given my past experience with them, it was wise of me to call before showing up BECAUSE THEY JUST CANCELED AND NEVER INFORMED ME! i WISH THAT PLACE CLOSE DOWN FOR GOOD!!!!!! Good doctors and nurses, mostly friendly staffs but horrible management. Most of the doctors are overloaded with too many patients and instead of hiring more doctors they just let patients wait for hours or have the nurse burst in and interrupt every 15 minutes while the doctor is still seeing the patient. There are so many medical breakthroughs and miracles happening everyday but I think the biggest miracle for this place is how they managed to avoid being shut down after so many malpractice lawsuit being filed against them. Just type "malpractice lawsuit tufts" on google search. No wonder people made a joke about this place that when one of the nurse got injured on the job they would ask if they wanted to be brought to a good hospital.

Worst Hospital to any Black man or woman. First they stuck me in a room that looked like someone just died their were cameras and the floor was sticky this was the room the asked me to change and get comfortable their was no medical device seemed like a room they put intoxicated drunks in after a night on the street. After all that got my room changed because I felt embarrassed and low, but the worst part is I had a virus I didn t know about the supposed medical doctors who are fake and do not know what they were doing said I probably had ulcers witch was totally wrong and a rash gave me some experimented pills and sent me on my way the next day the pain was so excruciating I went to my local doctors and they said it was a virus I caught and should have been treated right away gave me the right medicine and I got better. Do the the doctors at tuffs negligence I almost died . The reason I think they didn t care one my medical insurance and 2 because I was BLACK I am so sick of going places and be treated less because of status or skin color. I hope no more Blacks support or go to this hospital they will kill you misdiagnosing you. God Bless

Recently had to go to the ER for an issue that I h...

Recently had to go to the ER for an issue that I have been told, is an "emergency" and "not something to mess around with." Got there and was "warned" that they were very busy and that it could be 3 or 4 hours. I explained I was in incredible pain and knew what it was and had been told to get to the ER when in this situation. They said they would try their best but people have been waiting. I make my way over to the waiting area. There were about 10 people there. Some younger guy who had been waiting 3 hours but was on his phone and hanging with his friend, 8 or so other people who were all asleep and me, sweat rolling off my face from pain, doubled over, tearing up and everything else. To paint you a better picture of the clientele, one guy strolled past me yelling that he had to be seen. You see, he had a "god damn headache" and "needed an Advil or something." I hear the kid tell this character it is going to be several hours. The guy said he didn't care, waltzed over to the waiting room, curled up in a chair and proceeded to go to sleep. Time is ticking, I feel like death from the abdominal pain and beg them to either take me ahead of these people who are sleeping and won't know, or ask a doctor if I can at least get some form of a pain med so I could reduce the pain and join the ER waiting room slumber party. Someone says they will go ask. 15 minutes later, I am, through very deep breaths and tears, asking if anyone had checked. Someone offers to go check if indeed, someone had checked. Fantastic. Kid eventually comes back and says "The doctor said not to take anything until they can assess you." Not at all surprising but again, Hello. I don't mean to be pushy but I am thisclose to collapsing right here on the floor of your waiting room from the pain so any idea how long? He tells me I can clearly see that they are very busy so he'd guess a few hours. So I proceed to tell him that yeah, I can see that everyone is sleeping and one guy is on his phone and laughing. After being told there isn't anything he can really do, I said I had to get out of there as there was no way I could wait 3 hours. His response? OK. Have a good night. Could not have cared less. I am a long time patient of Tufts and have always had great experiences and I am sure if I could have gotten to an ER doctor that night, I would have received great care as usual. But I am never returning to this ER. I came from 15 miles away which seemed like 100 with the pain level, because I am told Tufts is my "medical home." But I'm not playing this game. I repeat, 8 out of the 10 of us were asleep, one guy was playing on his phone and another, who also eventually went to sleep, was fine waiting 3-4 hours for a flipping Advil which tells you all you need to know. 1) If you are asleep, playing on your phone or willing to wait 3-4 hours for a .05 cent Advil, I'm going to guess you really aren't an "emergency." 2) Like most city ERs, Tufts pretty much doubles as a social services center which, there but for the grace of God go I and all that. Fine. However, I certainly expect an ER to actually triage rather than act like we are putting our names on a list for a table at the local Applebee's and will be called in order. Had shooting victims or a car accident or chest pains came in, by all means, leave me to cry in a corner and please prioritize. But to leave me there begging for help, telling me I have to wait because all of these people who are asleep have "been there for a while?" That's ridiculous, a sad commentary on the state of healthcare (patient vs customer) and I am all set.

This hospital has a good reputation but on the inside it is horrible, I have done my internship during 2018 and it was one of the reasons why I had depression. In the interventional Radiology they care of sterility is low, when the patient is about to leave the room, the doctor puts the dressing without cleaning the incision itself, and this part in my eyes was the worst of all, since it can cause infection (imagine your skin to be bloody then you put on it a dressing without cleaning your skin first).

Can you imagine that they have a resident every month and the problems is not here, after the resident spends two weeks, the consultant let him do the procedures alone!! I could not believe what I saw. The staff were allergic to the foreigners especially the females. Literally every time I think about this hospital I feel so bad that it was one of my memories, I am entitled to a better option.

I was recently told that there was nothing I could do but wait for an appointment I ve been waiting for, almost, 2 1/2 months. I ve been given dates that are on the weekend then I m being told that I can t be seen until another day ( a day I didn t schedule). I understand miscommunication, I don t understand laziness or anything less than what a HOSPITAL is supposed to provide for us. And it scares me because nobody helps with these kind of things. We re supposed to remain quite when our health and lives are in others hands. We re supposed to get help, not be turned away to the emergency room where I have to spend THOUSANDS of dollars just to be check out. I wish people would take others life into consideration A LOT more.

a great hospital with very poor Management. I was a Temp with many more experience than the staff technologist in Orthopedics . But because of politics he was allowed to choose as to whether I was hired. Well in Today's world Personal favoritism comes ahead of patient care. Very dangerous for an untrained person to work directly with patients. When I arrived at the hospital he actually had the traction set up backwards. any applied force would have skewered the patient. Very poorly trained Orthopedic Technologist. BILAL

I am absolutely disgusted at this medical center. From the neurology department to the emergency room, I wish I could say this to your face. I don t even know where to begin but I expected more from a so called top Boston hospital. Does anyone know lean 6 principles? You should feel compassion and not like you re a burden when you are in the medical room. My mom was alone in the ER for almost 9 hours with 0 attention. The least you can do is offer a cup of water. Tufts is the last place I ll ever recommend.

I went to ER and found out I have fibroids in my left Fallopian tube and that something was wrong with my left kidney and intestines. The doctor said I had to go to my primary care doctor to seek treatment. The next available appointment is January 2 2020. This is the worst hospital. Then said if anything happens to back to the emergency room.
