Run-down buildings, many dark corners, lecture halls full to the brim, without windows and cold. There is no information at all about appointments, such as exact lecture times for Christmas, or at most from each chair individually. Exam dates will be announced very late. In general, you are only busy gathering information because there is nothing anywhere.
Dining in the cafeteria is expensive. Compared to Wuppertal twice as high.

Very good and very modern university.

Very good and very modern university.

I learned a lot here, graduated in 2016, many thanks again to the Faculty of Business, except for the former math professor .

Unfortunately, the parking lot was always full and my fellow students parked like crazy, as I heard the parking situation has not changed until today and will never change .

Greetings go out to the summer semester 2013

Hochschule Bochum = Banana University Bochum

Hochschule Bochum = Banana University Bochum
Really incredible that professors need more than five months for corrections. Where is that, please? The dubious examination office does nothing about it. Those who have no hobbies and a lot of time are welcome here. I'm talking about architecture. What about the other departments? ??

Nobody here is interested in teaching.

Nobody here is interested in teaching.

The university shines through lack of organizational talent and mostly at the expense of the students. If you want something as a student you have to ask yourself, cleaning the lavatories themselves. That alone is not bad, since self-responsibility in the study is mandatory, but you should still think that you should get information about exams, fees, registration deadlines, etc. by the faculty. At least this information should be somewhere in a place (eg homepage, Moodle) to be found. Not at the University of Bochum. Here is not even the office hours of the lecturers on the homepage. In general, you just have the feeling that as a student, you are a second-class person here. It often seems like students are seen as enemies here, so learning here is not much fun either. Nothing and no one controls everything happens somehow arbitrarily. Registration periods for exams vary from exam to exam. The dates of the exams will be announced very late.
Punctuality is very important when it comes to the duties of students, but this does not apply to professors. So it can also happen that grades are awarded only in the following semester, as the correction can also take time.
If there is another option, I would not recommend studying at this college.

I registered because it was said to be a 'family-friendly university'. A summer family festival does not turn a bad university into a family-friendly one. I have two children and am trying to complete my studies. Some lecturers are nice and try everything to make it happen. But not others. Now in Corona times, when the children cannot even take care of me, Ms. Becker puts even more stones in my way. If you have small children (0-3) and want to continue your education: NOT HERE! There is no understanding, the contact persons are no help. A few people, mostly those with children, understand the problem with them.
