Rooms are dated as well as the slots. Dining is terrible. Best bet is to wait in line at the In N Out in the parking lot. I will say the people watching here is second to none so that earned a full star bonus!

You get what you pay for. Neither fancy nor a dump. Paid extra for the "remodeled" tower following previous reviews. Learned there are 3 levels of remodeling upon check in and for double my rate I could have the nicer room. No thanks. So, room was clean, bed was comfy, and staff were friendly. Cons, if you wanted the air conditioning on you had to endure a beeping/humming noise. Couldn't sleep. The shower didn't drain properly so our showers became baths within the first minute. Carpets in hallways we're severly stained, but clgood news was that our room was ok. Hotel: most restaurants were either closed down or shut. Buffet for breakfast was okay, I would eat there again. We ate at the "fancier" restaurant for dinner. Food and service were excellent. Didn't access the pool, every time we walked by only the hot tub was in use. Kind of weird that none of the kids were ever in the pool. We must have walked by at least 20 times. Kids arcade was a bust. Maybe 10 machines, 2 were broke. Usually occupied by an adult playing that guitar game. Stores: they are preparing for a change so most items were 50-75% off. So some nice deals on sparkly clothes if that's your thing. Downside is they didn't have basic things like chapstick. I'm assuming that will be fixed soon. Overall, If you have to come to Laughlin, I'd stay there again. It was the best of the worst. I've stayed at all of the Casinos over the years. Just pay for the top remodeled room

Basic room with old wrinkled carpeting. Slow check-in, despite reservation and prepayment. Parking garage nice to shield the car from the intense summer heat. Restaurants not open for the holiday, only Buffett. Surprise Resort fee for Internet that didn't work. Recreational opportunities on the Colorado River were fun.

Stayed here 3 nights. It was very convenient for my family as we came to see the best in the desert. They have the trucks right on there parking lots, And the pizza at the restaurant inside the hotel was so good. Everyone is just friendly. The worker at the pool was so nice, the worker at the thrifty Ice cream she was so nice always greeting every customer the same . We always stay at the Tropicana.

Bed Bugs..... Need I say more? Oh but there is more. Blood on the bathroom light switch, wall, and door. Shower curtin had mold or mildew on it Dean bugs on the floor. Hair on the pillow case. Clearly doesn't clean or sanitize anything. Very little Covid prevention for their guests. Tried to speak to risk management about the issue and have been ignored or transferred back and forth between different departments from House Keeping to Security back to Front Desk, Told to call back the next day. I would not send my worst enemy to stay at the Tropicana. Gross!!;

Stayed here Monday night 11/19/18. Get to the hotel, girl at the front desk had a rude look on her face and checked us in quickly. Get to the 3rd floor and to our room...keys dont work. Send my husband down so we don't have to carry our bags down. He calls me and says they will send security to open it but i have to come get the keys because it's in my name. Security or hotel staff could have given me the keys at the room. I go down and wait 15 mins in line. Girl tells me that now that she gave me brand new keys they should work (mean face and attitude). Go to the room, 1 key works, 2nd doesn't. That's fine we didn't want to deal with her again. Go to buffet for dinner, get rude comments from the waitress because we seated ourselves and didn't know she would seat us because it's a freaking buffet! Get woken up at 6:15 AM to water pouring from the ceiling light fixture. Scramble to call front desk meanwhile I dropped my phone and cracked the screen. Great... call the front desk and the girl says "oh no, do you just want to check out?" I pause and ask my husband. And she says or I can move your room and it's on the same floor. We move rooms so that we can at least get dressed and ready to leave. Polite gentleman comes and brings us new keys, he makes sure they work as well before bringing them. Check out at 9 am and go to the front desk. I tell Nicole at the front desk about what has happened since the time we set foot in Tropicana. She doesn't care, says it's not her problem. I told her I wanted to let her know before I write a review online and she continues to say its not her problem. Then she proceeds to charge me extra hotel fees.... what is going on? I had high hopes that we would choose this hotel and casino to stay at regularly. Save yourself the trouble and don't go here! We will be booking with another hotel and I'm sure they will be happy to have us...

The hotel is ok, but the Italian restaurant is one to pass by. The waiters are unfriendly, especially one that has been there for years. The prices a quite expensive. And if you wish to split a meal with a friend or child you are charged $8 extra, and also charged for bread sticks plus a charge for sauce to dip your bread sticks in such as marinara sauce.
They become very indignant if you look surprised or question the cost, and give you the take it or get out attitude. Pass this place up !

Casino atmosphere all your basic games, cocktails local place to play. The cocktail waitresses are a bit slow in the afternoons. Have had better luck in the evenings as far as drinks go. Do miss the Ramada express but is what it is. The little train was nice for the kids and adults. And always nice when the smell is tolerable with all the smoking in the Casino.

The Tropicana is my favorite place to stay. The service is good and there are many options for food. The comps have gone down since my last stay. I hope they review their comp policy.

Good casino hotel. Clean and comfortable. Amenities are few. No microwave. No refrigerators. TV are small. They want you spending money in the casino ... not staying in your rooms. price less than $50 a night.

Always had a positive experience with the exception of our last visit. I was surprised to find out that the no pet rule posted on all the entrances and elsewhere is not enforced. I love pets but they do not belong in the bar in a buggy with entertainment going on. I asked the waitress Lori and she advised me to report it to security it wasn t her job. Pretty shocking. I wonder if someone had a gun on a table if she would have said the same thing. They also have a no firearm sign next to the pet sign. Just very disappointed by her snotty negative response. Love the Trop other than for that. They are generous with free rooms. So is the competition. Maybe we will try another place sorry to say.

This was a nice hotel to visit. The 24 hour restaurant downstairs was excellent. My boyfriend and I ate in the train dining room. It was private and the food was delicious. The casino is okay, but needs more variety with the video poker. The room was decent and clean. Wish it had a fridge though.

The Tropicana has a casino host who they should feel lucky to have working it for them. Gilda makes this casino a 5 star experience. They also have a server Teresa who also elevates the ambience of Tropicana. Un fortunately the only food I could get during this covid era was at the coffee shop. The coffee shop has great servers working there also...!

The casino is great but the Steakhouse restaurant has a lot to be desired. The food isn't very good but the worse is the service. Waitresses are not friendly until they bring you your bill because they want. A tip. We've eaten there 3 times. First time time food was great. The last two very bad. Never again

I have been coming here for YEARS and it is always a good time. Great restaurants and great place for a family vacation. Linda always makes my parents feel so welcomed every time to come.

Great customer service from Omar, who helped us out . We had two rooms and had to cancel one and he gave us a number to call at Expedia. With his help the resort rebooked the room and we got a full refund from Expedia. Room was clean kinda of loud but a/c was ok and the machines payed well. Everyone seemed nice including other patrons who cheered us on when winning. Will be back.
