Unprofessional and Rude. I would NEVER use them as a collection service.

I got sick of tenants ripping me off and used these guys... i can see below other reviews, which look like people who are owing money and their debts have been placed in the hands of ecollect. Your negative reviews remind me of the attitude of the scumbag who smashed holes in my walls, didnt pay rent for 6 weeks and then upped and left without taking the junk he piled up at my property which i then had to pay to remove. He always played the victim and had an excuse for everything. makes me so angry when i think about the stress he caused me. ecollect were able to locate him and so far i've had half of the debt paid. they found out where he works and advised me to seek a court order to garnish his wages which we did. im very pleased with ecollect and their quality of work. they will work hard and get the job done. i will use them in a heartbeat if the need arises again!!

eCollect are very easy to use and have successfully recovered debts for us on numerous occasions. They are very cost effective as well for a smaller business such as ours.

Ecollect - please define proportional for me.

Just had an unfortunate and very condescending phone call from a young lady at this company over a trivial $39 overdue fee for the local video store. Clearly an oversight on my part, and one that is also clearly not going to be a problem to redress on my next visit. However, threats of escalation and insinuations of stupidity when I suggested that I could probably pay it next time I hire a DVD.

Really guys, how is this even remotely worth your while and how seriously do you think you can be taken over such trivial amounts.

I've worked with George now for several years and he's been great at getting the occasional client to pay - and he does so tactfully which is important as I have an ongoing relationship with my clients

I have been in business for 15 years, and chasing the odd non-payer for the same amount of time! These guys were professional and successful in their commitment to getting bad debtors to pay. Their communication was excellent and advice provided honest.

As a long term client of eCollect, i have nothing but high praise for their no nonsense approach to recovering money. Too often, people who have owed our business money have treated us with total disrespect in our efforts to recover what is ours. We tried two other collection agencies, one being Prushka and the other being Marshall Freeman and neither of them displayed what we would expect from a debt recovery business. eCollect have been "to the point" and highly efficient in their recovery work. They don't muck around and that's whats we wanted in order to get the job done. We will continue to use eCollect and we don't mind having robust conversations with any of our clients who choose not to pay us.

Peter from ecollect is the single most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with, I was contacted by text about a supposed debt from 5 years ago. When I questioned the amount and told him my concerns about the legitimacy of this claim he told me I was being unreasonable and that it wasn't his problem. He's told me numerous different things that contradict each other, forwarded me an email chain between him and the accounts manager at the business in question which had several condesening remarks about myself and the requests I had made to receive more information. He is borderline incompetent, I'm unsure how he has managed to find a job that will allow him to be paid for his lacklustre work.

Asking for money for snap fitness patterson lakes, even though I never cancelled membership and don't owe anything, guy is rude

This company is trying to collect on Anytime Fitness accounts that have been closed for 3+ years. There are multiple reviews on anytime fitness for ex members who are getting called out of the blue asking for money they have never received a bill for. Seems like a scam

Buying fraudulent debt for cents on the dollar - trying to use standover tactics to trick/guilt innocent business owners into paying for fake advertising from scam companies.

I would like to say big thanks to Jason and Peter who deal with my case. They make sure to get the job done and chase the money for me. At the very beginning, I approached other companies, they think my money is too small or difficult and not interesting to take my case or most of them only deal with business customers. But Jason took over this and use a clever way to collect the money which is to collect small amount money every week. I don't mind for that as long as I do receive the money regularly. The other good thing for eCollect is the effective communication. Not only Jason or Peter answer me by phone or email, also I can see everything they have done for all the process from client login. And the best thing is no claim no fee, some other companies charge a few hundred dollars administration fee before they collect a cent though they cannot guarantee if they will be able to collect a cent. I highly recommend those landlords or real estate agents who have trouble to collect rent to consider eCollect.

If you have people who legitimately owe you money, I highly recommend this Company to help you. It's a dirty job and they do it expertly. They have chased down debts, accompanied me through VCAT and have obtained payments I had long since given up hope of collecting. They are an important part of our Company

As a real estate agent we have used ECollect for a number of years when clients have failed to pay their outstanding arrears and accounts. They have been very successful in the cases we have given them. We shall keep using ECollect to recovery the funds owed.

Insanely rude, TJ account manager for Ola Cabs refused to speak to me or listen, basically interrupted me the entire time and where it says on the website "willing to work with you". 100%, not the case.

eCollect were brilliant from start to finish their communication and updates were excellent. I gave them an invoice to collect that I had tried extensively to collect myself without luck, within a fairly short period of time Tj had worked his magic and the client had finally paid the invoice.

These dodgy flogs tried to get me to pay an amount for OLA (ride sharing company). When I queried when this trip allegedly occurred they weren't able to provide any details.
After I accused them of being a scam they provided a date of when the trip happened for me to them advise them I wasn't even in the state on that date.
Be very wary of them.

Promise the world!! Keep asking for money, but never recover your money. Would not recommend to anyone.

What a great bunch of professionals, helpful attentive and most of all they get results. The only whingers you will find are the crooks that do not pay their bills.

We started using ecollect services after using another company without any of our debts being collected. We have 4 child care centres and had a few larger debts that had been left by families. Since Ecollect has started the process a debt from January 2017 now has a payment arrangement and that was within the first 2 weeks. We are very happy with all aspects of their service and would highly recommend them for other child care services or any businesses looking to save time chasing those bad debts.

Rude, as I was explaining my case, he talks over me and then when I bring the conversation back , he says i'm terminating this call.. how ridiculous. this this a professional way to behave ?

We are very satisfied clients of eCollect. We have never used a debt collecting company before and have consequently lost a lot of money over the years from people not paying their way or doing the right thing even with VCAT orders. It took some time but eCollect were successful with retrieving 100% of a debt with no extra stress or fees for us other than the commission rate, giving us money that we thought we would never see. Highly recommend, especially to other frustrated property owners let down by tenants.

A couple of years ago I had these scamming cockroaches contact me about an alleged outstanding fine for a video store that had closed years ago. The professionally named "TJ" informed me I could pay this debt over the phone with a credit card. Not being a gullible morom, I demanded some evidence about the outstanding amount of $5.50 from back in 2014.

Soon after, I received a letter stating the generically named "Essendon Video Store" was seeking payment for an overdue film. Which video store in Essendon was that exactly? There were several in the area when I was living there, so unless you scam artists provide actual proof (which you never did, or could), I'm not paying a cent. I told them in no uncertain terms what I thought of them, their scam, and that they wouldn't be getting a cent out of me. They then stated it was going to the small claims tribunal. Amazingly enough, I'm yet to receive a summons. Funny that.

If these parasites ever contact you about an alleged debt, DEMAND evidence. I can assure you they have none and are just trying to scam the gullible and easily intimidated.

I really don't know how they sleep at night, trying to extort money from the easily intimidated and gullible. Give them nothing.

I was contacted by eCollect in April. This came as a surprise as they were acting on behalf of someone I had been involved in a minor car accident with back in November 2014. They were very unprofessional, used standover and intimidation tactics, slack in obtaining quotes for the repair of the vehicle I went into (it took almost a year for them to forward one quote to me) and they were incredibly rude.

When I asked to speak to a team leader about how I had been dealt with (nothing to do with the claim), I was initially lied to when they informed me that the team leader had left early for the day. After emailing the team leader about my concerns, her response was 'it is unfortunate you feel you were treated badly but there is nothing we can do'. Yes, I believe there is something you can do! You just don't care to do it.

My tip for anyone who deals with these people - only do business with them in writing. In my experience based on the staff I spoke to, they try to intimidate you and scare you should you speak to them over the phone. If you only deal with things in writing, you at least have the time to think about your responses and evidence on what they have said. Contact the Law Society should you have a similar experience with them to what I have had. It's a shame they can't seem to manage the complaints about their staff internally but it's good that there are Governing bodies who are interested in hearing our grievances and the way in which this company conduct themselves.

Pretty sure this company is dodgy. We paid the alleged bill weeks ago and the daycare is still trying to take money off of us. We have emailed both the day care and the this company without response.

I had to pay out an amount for a gym membership. This guy was the nicest collector Iv ever dealt with. Just rang me to warn me to cancel the payments as it was nearly up. What a top bloke
