First Tim Hortons. A nice little museum upstairs.
Friendly staff, great corner location with parking. Location of the first Tim Hortons. Awesome
The original Tims, cool museum upstairs open to public.
The birthplace of Tim Hortons. It's where it all started.
Friendly staff but everytime I go here they always mess up on my order or they forget items i have just went there i was missing 40 tidbits my coffees were burnt and I have sever anxiety I dont like calling g or complaining ever well it's my lost on my order there gain
I truly love the coffee here, it's mostly always fresh and tasty and on point. The place is also pristine clean all the time. I rate these things at a 5 star. So if you don't mind waiting for up to 20 minutes for your coffee, then head on down!
Every single time I go and grab coffee here in the morning (around 8-9am depending on the day) and in the afternoon (typically between 1-4pm I stand in a 20 person deep line up that cascades out the poorly designed door and into whatever weather condition happening that day (which can sometimes be quite the awful experience; snow, rain etc). There is no drive thru yet it is slower service than a Tim Hortons that does have drive thru. It makes no sense! The employees are slow slow slow. If they would hurry up then I would give this a WAY better rating. Because this location does have the best coffee in town, its staff are friendly and the restaurant is very clean, as well as being interesting with a cute museum of Tim Hortons history upstairs.
Service was mediocre at best and the food was worse. Very sad for the very first Tim Hortons location. I hear there is a problem with management.
I have been here a handful of times and every time I come the one worker is always in a bad mood and giving a dirty look even when u was super kind to her she still didn t even say good morning or have a good day back nothing. Sadly she has no name tag on probably on purpose all around bad experience. Everyone this one worker is in I will just leave.
Order took forever to get. Was told I couldn't have what I wanted and product came out fresh while I was waiting. Was offered a choice to be told what I chose was out of stock and no garbage can convenient on the patio.
First ever Tims on Ottawa has interesting museum upstairs.
1st Tim Hortons ever.. this is where it all started.. recently renovated.. nice seating area up stairs... must visit
So much history, and you can still buy your coffee and doughnut.
Hate the set up when u first walk in.GRRR..but the food way better an love the up stairs big time. .oh an patio;)
Great coffee, can sit down relax, charge phone laptop etc..
Good to visit for the History of Tim Horton upstairs. His statue outside is a popular photo op. Terrible set up for customers wanting coffee and food items. First 3 customers get indoors. The rest wait in line in the doorway and outside.
The first branch opened in 1964.
Worth a visit, there is a museum on the top floor.
Very first Tim Hortons opened!! Lot of seating space. Two floors. Yeah! That's right. Two floors. Top floor has a wall of fame from their memory lane. Wonderful place to drink your favourite coffee in the company of your family or friends.
It's tims. When you want donuts it's the place to be.
Add this location to your visit to Ottawa Street. A definate tourist attraction.
This is the original Tims. It is also the Tims museum. Service is always good
It was more than an honor to visit the first TMS site in Hamilton.
Flagship store. Tim Hortons museum on second floor. Great statue of Mr. Horton out front of store.
This is a great location for a 1st-timer to Tims! The downstairs seems typical - wait in a rag-tag line that runs out the door, order, and pick up. BUT then you can (and should!) go upstairs for comfortable seating, plenty of charging outlets, and a museum. We were there on a Friday morning around 9, and had it to ourselves. The lady working upstairs keeping it clean also has a really good handle of Tims history. She (Saundra?) loves to talk about how the company has evolved, the changes that have come though, and the community involvement. Have I mentioned the place is spotless? Our visit set the bar for every other Tims visit during our trip. (They all fell FAR short.) So... you should go to this location!
The very first Tim Horton's ever opened! Nice little museum upstairs filled with info. And as always, great coffee!!
Waited 5 minutes at the speaker with no cars ahead to be told the interact was down.
Memories: reminds me of when I was teen going there. Coffee is good
For such a prominent address, the coffee lacks. We love the neighbourhood and will keep coming back.
Stood in line for 20 minutes. Only the one ladt was taking orders. The manager at the till was talking to the customer the entire time. I left and he was still there. Line up out the door.
I got there during shift change. With my incredible timing just as I was first in line one clerk disappeared. The other clerk was finishing up with her last customer. Unfortunately it wasn't a smooth as glass switch
The result was a longer than normal queue behind me. Perhaps I should have used the app
Line up sucks badly at this store. There is no room to stand in line.
Great staff. Fast service and always fresh. Only problem is the set up for the line.
First Tim Horton location
Staff moves very slow and talking too much to each other rather than to the costumers
The first Tims! It's so nice to walk around the museum, there is washrooms on site and quite a cozy atmosphere. That being said I wish they would've put more into the museum as it is awfully small and there is almost nothing of Tim Hortons hockey career despite the statue out front. Also attracts somewhat of a crowd.. the staff here is a wonderful saving grace though.
Being the very first Tim's is worth something, so yes it was grand to see it. The brass plaque is outside on the wall for anyone to see. I have a buddy who grew up in the neighbourhood who was there, or so he says (no way to prove it, ha) on opening day - 1964 April 17th if I remember correctly ,,, maybe not. The building is showing its years, not too many seats, washroom quite small, but that's what happens when a building is fifty years old. A joy to see just for the nostalgia of the place. Besides the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tim Horton's team, were still winning at the time ... can't say that now. Haven't won since 1967 ! Here's to your vision Mr. Horton.
Service was good and the place was very clean. Lots of places to sit.
Awkward entrance design but an amazing space nonetheless. Love this location, it's amazing.
The new museum is really nice. And hiw awesome is it to be at the first ever Tim Hortons
Good for coffee, the set up isn't the greatest if you want food but there's more of a sitting area upstairs.
Nice display for the memory of Tim Hortons history
The place is nice and clean. When this was first built i was a little worried about them demolishing the first Tim Hortons which i had been to many times but this is an improvement. The service is good (although it can get busy during the obvious rush hours but thats every Tim Hortons) and the sitting areas are nice both indoor and out. They also have a small museum upstairs which is at the very least interesting to see. Its a great place would definitvely recommend it.
Plaque and monument on sidewalk declares this as #1 store. Beautiful inside, 2 storeys, artifacts on display. Should be part of a tour - except parking is a bit limited. Bright, pleasant, top notch staffing.
They got my donuts wrong but it was a nice place :)
A lovely experience of walking through the memory lane of my fav Tim hortons. Souvenirs are available to buy and a nice museum to watch the history of the brand
First Tim Hortons ever built here on Ottawa Street in Hamilton Ontario!
