The first stop on every road trip and a beginning for most days lol and the home of the tiger cats just wish they made their cakes and donuts hand made instead of just making them freezing them then sending trucks out to bring them to the locations to be honest they took the heart and soul out of there donuts. Home made donuts are better then factory ones.

Home of Tim Hortons since 1964! Started from Hamilton, Ontario and now number one in Canada . When you are in Canada you can t ignore coffees specially in the freezing winter ! If you visit Hamilton, you must check-in to the first Tim Hortons. You will love the place for sure.

I'm very upset with the astablisment as we are in a very scary time and on the door it has 3 people at a time but they have 6 skip the dishes drivers standing all together inside timmy I will no longer trust that the employee s and customers are in jeopardy and the skip the dishes guys they were rude and very disrespectful

I'm rating this Tim Hortons in the context of other Tim Hortons, not food in general. First, this is a badly designed building. The front counter doesn't have enough room for a decent queue, so people are always standing in the doorway and sometimes out the door.

Compounding that, the service is slow, probably because the staff always seems to be unhappy. The operations doesn't seem optimized for speed, which is pretty much Tim Horton's only saving grace.

Upstairs is a decent seating area with some decorative fireplaces. Bizarrely there's a "museum" wall charting the rise of the franchise, with a "The Future" section that ominously includes an emergency exit.

There are lots of outlets (USB and standard) for laptops and phones and whatnot, just be aware that most of the plugs don't actually work.

All in all a fairly disappointing experience, especially for a flagship store.

The first ever location of a Tim's! The second floor has more seating and museum-like displays, there is a statue and plaque out front and a few extra souvenirs for sale celebrating its history. You sometimes run into an interesting clientele, though

Having gone to the original Tim's at this location every day after school to buy whatever donut I could afford starring back in early 70s, I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the homage respectfully paid to this first Tim Hortons. However, the 5 stars goes to the young woman, Angel, who helped me. She was outstanding, and was able to answer questions about the store, but also told me about ongoing and upcoming developments and changes along that stretch of Ottawa Street. The rest of the staff were just as friendly. Spotlessly clean, and co-vid practices in place and en pointe. Kudos!

worst location in the entire chain. The employees are miserable because of the manager kevin. everything wrong with this location is because of poor managment. you think the store number one would have a qualified manager. I feel sorry for the staff and their working conditions

Ok the only reason I have two stars is for the convenience it is close and easy to find but there is no drivethru and all of their donuts and timbits are all frozen and disgusting they should make them from scratch like the old day and the coffee is watered down and disgusting the employees are so so so roof I can't believe

Unfortuntely this store is only getting 2 stars from me. Although i love tims this store makes it so frustrating to get a cup of coffee.
First the line up is all wrong you actually have to stand in the doorway to wait to be served.
(2nd) there is NEVER enough help on. Now thats not the staffs fault as they are the saving grace in this location Its the Managment plain and simple. they care less about there employees and customers than they do About the bottom line MONEY!
This is very sad. As a retired restaurant manager and chef I know first hand that if you treat your employees and Customers the way they should be treated Your Profit will increase threefold in a year
This being there flagship store you would think that they would want it to be there best location well i guess not. TIM HORTONS you really need to take a close look at this location

This is our regular Tim Hortons, lovely staff, though at times it seems a little understaffed. My only real complaint is the double front door entry set up is a disaster; people should be directed to use the back door to exit because everyone trying to come and go from one poorly planned entryway is frustrating.

Today was the first time I had ever been to the ORIGINAL Tim Hortons in Hamilton. I was very surprised at how modern and how big the building was as it looked nothing like your typical Timmies. I went inside and ordered some donuts and drinks for my kids and we had a seat at the little bar seating in front of the window. I was chatting with someone when my youngest spilled his hit chocolate ALL over himself and the floor. Thank goodness I asked them to add milk so it didn't burn him but the girl that was working was so sweet and told me not to worry and even gave me another hot chocolate for my son. I was very impressed with the friendliness, attentiveness of the staff and the cleanliness of the building. Great job guys!!!

If we're talking the Tims @ center mall... I've been coming here almost daily for like 6 weeks now because it's the only 24/7 Timmy in a walk, however sometimes I get here and turn right around. Like, if u got more then 6 in line ur waiting minimum 15minz. Or if it's late, you want 2 eat.... ha, don't count on it. They make it impossible to order a sandwich with an assortment of a lazy ones tactics designed to either make you pay out the ass for a sandwich close to what you wanted, or to pay the menu price for half of what the menu offers.... just a trashy class of people who have no business in customer service.

It seems like a regular old Tim Hortons until you go upstairs and see the historic Tim Hortons counter with the cake carousel. This was the first Tim Hortons I ever visited as a child and it brought back a lot of memories seeing museum upstairs. The staff were very friendly.
