I have been to and have dealt with and have been to almost ever VW dealership in North Jersey. Three County VW has the best prices for service and parts hands down of any VW dealership I have been to in NJ and NY. The Service department is exceptional! The Parts department is exceptional! They provide loaner vehicles at no cost to you unlike some dealerships that want to rent you a car instead and they will absolutely work with you on pricing. This dealership is the first and only one that offered me the lowest possible price right up front. When I was quoted I already knew I stepped on a diamond. Same with the Parts Department. If you bring your business here you will never have to shop around again. It will cost you money to not deal with Three County. I can not tell them enough how much I appreciate them. I have just exceeded 140K miles on my TDI and doing everything that needs to be done to get another 140K Miles has been a pleasure. Whether you get the work done here or get the parts you need to do it yourself, you are not winning unless you are using Three County VW.

This is the worst repair shop I ve ever been too. They only want your money and if you have a warranty that covers your needs, they don t want to fix it. They are unprofessional and don t communicate well with customers. I would not recommend.

So we went to buy the Toyota Prius, last night and wanted to do a cash deal. Obviously we did not tell the dealership we are going to buy the vehicle outright without a loan.

Once the dealership knew about it, they wanted us to pay interest, minimum of 4 months if we brought the vehicle with cash. Never heard of that before. This dealership is a scam

Very professional team of salesmen, after shopping around for months in different car dealerships we ended up here and everyone treated us like family. I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase a car. The prices are the best and the team here is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. If you're in the market for a new or used car this is the place to come!
The management team is amazing as well!!

During my purchase of a 2012 Passat, I was very disappointed with the finance guy. Like all the rest, they persuade you to buy wear and tear. I have leased cars for over 20yrs and this was my first and last time purchasing wear and tear. He never went over the claims process you have to deal with when turning in your lease. I paid $720 for basic wear and tear for a 36 month lease and it would cover $5000 in damages. You are left with obtaining and sending all the inspection pics to the wear and tear company and responsible for filling out about 7-8 forms. The pics you receive from the inspection company were not good enough for the wear and tear company to analyze. I had minor acorn dents and a small scratch on the rear bumper. The wear and tear company covered $315 out of $1200. There is no fine print on the wear and tear contract to tell you the specifics and what the wear and tear company considers 1 instance of damage. Neither the dealership or Volkswagen Credit will help you at the end. Be very careful what you sign. You are better off paying for any wear and tear out of your own pocket. Will never buy a VW again thanks to this dealership.

worst service I have ever received. I was told 175$ to change a foglight, all they change was the bulb and the foglight was left hanging out the bumper. took it back three times for the same issue, left the dealer and this issue still persists! I am soo very disappointed.

I had a great experience in leasing my first car through Three County Volkswagen! My salesperson was extremely helpful and went out of his way to get me the car I wanted. I never felt pressured by Stan Boksz. He took the time to listen carefully and to answered all my questions. I will recommend Stan to anyone interested in leasing a car.
Thank you soo much!!!

I was reading a Carfax report, and they changed oil every 3000 miles on B5.5 2005 Passat. What waste of money. OCI is 10k, and that is conservative, they go further in Europe. Not doing customers a favor, actually bad to change oil that often because of additive packages.

Service was not done in a timely manner. I called for a vehicle recall that should take 1 hour to fix and an oil change. The lady on the phone said since they are down to 3 mechanics, she would rather schedule me a little far ahead so that I wouldn t wait for long and she had recommended that I would leave my car just in case it takes longer than an hour and I was fine with it.
Dropped my car off at 10 am and I came at 4:20 PM and my car is still not done. That s 6 hours for a 1 hour recall and an oil change.

It would have been better if they called and re-scheduled my appointment instead of holding my car for 6+ hours not allowing me to get to other appointments I had later that day.

I am Used Car Dealer who deals with many different service advisors, I called threes county Volkswagen and was lucky enough to get a great service advisor on the phone to assist me with an issue I was having with my vehicle. The day of my appointment I met him in person and was very pleased to deal with someone who is extremely professional and courteous. I wish every service advisor I deal with at different dealerships were as wonderful as Greg. Thanks again Greg, look forward to have all my future Volkswagens serviced here when necessary. A+

I recently purchased 2012 GTI at this dealership. I had the pleasure of working with Nuno Pinto, who is great guy and very friendly person. Nuno was professional, polite all the time and answered all my questions. The staff at this dealership is just amazing, they are all helpful and kind, and straigh up shooters. "No catches". After the purchase of my vechile Mr. Pinto took the time to walk me around, introduce me to the service/parts dept and gave me a quick 101 on car tech controls and other items. Must say my Overall experience A++.

Thanks to all the staff at 3 County vw!!! Keep it up.

I got my new car almost a year ago now and never gave these guys a well deserved 5 star rating. Not only that buying and working with Dino was easy, but even more important the after sale service is the best I've ever experienced. We all know that dealing with service can be painful and aggravating but these guys found a solution and made it a positive experience whenever I made a visit. Thank you All at Three County VW!

They'll remind you a dozen times how they're famil...

They'll remind you a dozen times how they're family owned, so of course, you'll be treated like family. There's a reason for the saying to never do business with family. Once you buy your car and out the door, that's it.

I'm barely past 6 months into my Tiguan lease and my transmission became an issue after what their shop says isn't their responsibility or VW's... that it was PROBABLY a small rock that somehow made it's way into the transmission. So, of course, they're not liable for the cost. When trying to lease, you're told you're the leasee. Then somehow you're now the owner and liable for costs of a new car for a problem no one has a definitive answer for.

We tried multiple times to explain our side and one wants to listen. Now we're paying a large sum of $$$ for something no one has an explanation as to why happened. How do we know this won't happen again due to some design flaw that allows rocks to make its way through front grills? I'll be liable again?!

Transmission issues this soon and I'm paying for it? NO PROOF...yet MY PROBLEM?! Of course my warranty doesn't help...when does it ever when you need it most? What does a warranty cover anyway?

Anyone interested in the Tiguan or Three County? Think twice.

UPDATE SINCE GOOGLE RESPONSE FROM DEALERSHIP...

I called 3x after calling the phone number you provided to try different people to speak with and/or being suggested others to speak to. No one knows the person who posted this response on behalf of Three County. Please, save me from generic template responses to show others reading this that you care.

Again, my leased car is leaking oil and I was told this could be a transmission issue....and somehow I am liable for this? I know I seem disgruntled, but I am just speaking truth and would be posting positive reviews if felt necessary. I keep being told the next person to call to help me even though I never caused damage to the 6-month-car on my own.

So, please, don't waste my time with generic PR posts. You see my last name attached to this post, look up your files and CALL ME and don't have me trying to find you.

Horrible customer service. I called this dealer today and had to call three times throughout the day to speak with anyone from the sales team. The man who finally answered was beyond rude and completely uninterested in answering my questions, evading basic questions I tried asking. And I was about to drive over there and pay cash for the car and take it home! You'd think they'd be interested in selling! Would much rather take my business elsewhere.

Beware the repair service! Look closely at the reviews on repair.

I have been a customer of Tricounty VW for years. I have lost faith in their service over the last year.

They appear very aggressive in their diagnosis and repairs.

The staff were professional, courteous and informed. Our car is still under warranty and was in for service for a few minor issues. Even though we are not likely to purchase another vehicle for some time, the service levels were fined tuned to ensure a return customer, referral business or both. Truly a perfect first experience. I don't anticipate needing service often, but we will definitely use TC for future maintenance and when we are ready to replace our older vehicle, TC will be the place we purchase.

Subsequent to my prior review I brought my 2018 Passat in for another service and once again was extremely satisfied. Matt, Greg, Cassandra and Toni are the reason I am a return Volkswagen buyer. There are none better than them. I have never trusted a dealership more and I have visited many during my lifetime. Every job and every transaction is perfect.

Prior Review:
Three County Volkswagen dealership treats me as a customer should be treated. They are sensitive to my time and even offer a shuttle service so you can wait from home. They take a personal interest in keeping my car running well and safe on the road. Matt and Greg excel as Service Managers and there are no finer office personnel than Cassandra and Toni. My Passat is 13 years old and running well. Much of the credit goes to their fine team of mechanics. When I am ready to purchase a new car I will be very reluctant to purchase anywhere else but Three County because of the people who work in this dealership.

Left feeling good because of the new purchase, until later on where a huge descrepcy happened on the isurence quote i was given during the sales pitch.. Dont know if the sales rep put in the wrong info But when i got the confirmation email from the insurence co the price increased 500 % Called the sales rep back kinda got a its ur problem now attitude. And he added that they dont take cars back. U r stck with the sale. So a mistake was made either by the sales rep or insurance company. i am the one suffering because of the misleading info i was given during the sale. Not happy at all going to feel lots of pressure till the car is paid off. NOT HAPPY AT ALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEWARE OF THE INFO GIVEN!!!!!!!!

Currently have my 2013 gli there for a clutch issue after getting an opinion from my usual mechanic, he told me what the problem was and said it should be covered under warranty as a defective part.so far so good they have been honest and true in all they have said. Jose is an absolute pleasure to speak to and deal with. Reading some of these post I'm a little nervous on whether the dianosis of the problem will be correctly addressed. Read online of over 30 other instances in the last 4 months of people having the same issue all were covered under the bumper to bumper 3 year 36k mile warranty for now they will get 3 stars for if the problem is diagnose correctly and everything is smooth run from here on out a 5 star rating is very deserved...

They use the old bait and switch trick
Post one price on car guru but when you show up to pay for the car cash they switch the price to their convenience
Car listed
2015 toyota Prius
At $13995
Dealer changed the price right away not in writing or internet.
Abd they will not sell as advertised on car guru.
Make sure you call them scammers before you take a trip to waste time and gas.

After having poor experiences w/ Joe Heidt VW in Ramsey, and Douglas VW, I decided to take my car here to see what was wrong w/ my horn. Even though I didn't have them fix the horn and only paid for the diagnosis, they were pretty nice and honest. When I was there, they seemed to treat their customers nicely given that we are in the middle of a global pandemic and dealerships are losing a ton of money. That kind of resolve to be in a not great financial situation, but still treat the customers with honesty and kindness means a lot. Not to mention, they have a shuttle which took me to my office after I dropped my car off. I'll be back here for sure!

I recommend you stay away from dealership, listed prices are a way to lure you to the dealership. Close to $900 in extra fees once you get there, also, online prices in my experience requires financing through a special financer and wanted to charge me to put cash. First impression seemed very sketchy, some my be ok with this, I would stay away.

First I would like to say STAY AWAY FROM THUS DEALER AND ITS the most terrible place I have ever been to. I purchased a car from here , don t get me wrong the car is great. I had 0 issues with the car, what I don t like is the fact that I was lied to. I was told my car total one was price then on my credit report I see a higher amount. They didn t provide me with a BILL OF SALE, and anyone who knows about financing would know by law they have to give you a bill of sale that is itemized one by one with each price on the documents. THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ME WITH ALL L MY DOCUMENTS WHEN I LEFT as well. I had the guy Jose aponte tell me well if u pay me cash for my commission I can lower your payment for your car. Obviously he lied, the payment mount was high and my credit score is good. SO MANY HIDDEN FEES I ACTUALLY CALCULATED EVERY THING MYSELF AND THEY BASICALLY CHARGER ME 5080.00 extra. I hope you guys read this because this is the truth. I should have read reviews on this place before.

Brought my GTI in for its 20k mile service. They gave me a ride to work (and offered to pick me up) even though I didn't lease from them. Service was completed quickly and was all good. I had them check my alignment, and they were honest and told me it was fine, so I didn't have to waste my money. Good experience!

Coming to Three County VW has been one of the best...

Coming to Three County VW has been one of the best experiences I will ever have, I had went to many dealerships before them while I was debating on what car to purchase back in 2013 before and no place competed with them. At the time I was only 19 years old and wasn't taken seriously by many dealerships and that killed most of the experience. That was definitely not the case when Jose Aponte came outside and welcomed me as if Three County was his home and I felt right at home. I purchased a 2013 Passat and I have to say that Jose and Joe gave the best deal I could not refuse. I did later trade my Passat in for a Mustang in 2015 with All American Ford in Hackensack but received a completely negative experience that convinced me to never again do business with them and always tell anybody that I know to stay away from there based on my expierence . When I decided to come back to my friends at Three County they had a 2016 Charger that I immediately fell in love with and once again, Jose and Joe came up with a fantastic deal on the Charger and left one happy camper. These people are not only looking to make a sale, but want to interact with you and honestly become really good friends and I personally thank them for their friendship and hospitality throughout the years and completely recommend Three County VW to anybody that wants good service, hospitality and a good deal on their next vehicle.

Sincerly,
The Chabla Family

I am loyal to Three County because their service continues to excel and they truly care about their customers. From Service desk to labor garage and parts, their staff is thorough, friendly (even on days with unexpected walk-ins and a full waiting room) and courteous. They are not only knowledgeable but help me to understand car language. They are accommodating, plan realistically, keep communication open / updated and follow through even on the details. I have recommended them over the years and will continue to do so.

I'm happy with Three County VW and would highly recommend them to anyone who was looking for a car. Five-stars service!

They don't allow scheduled repairs on Saturday, and are closed on Sunday. When I dropped off my car for repairs, I missed 2 calls while at work and the only voicemail they left was a cryptic "call us back." Turns out they needed to keep it one more day, but couldn't put just say that in a voicemail?

Twice I got repairs done, and twice I am disappointed. The first time they left weird orange streaks on the interior of my car, the second time they reset my radio so now my aux input doesn't work. If you have a choice, go anywhere else. I went to Reydel VW for years and loved it. Three County is like a discount shop that charges dealership rates.

8-3 8:45pm Refined below

8-3 8:45pm Refined below

Services were sufficient for the free oil change due to the fact VW is in the middle of a trial for consumer fraud. Used my $500 "gift card" to suffer through the final months of ownership in this lemon of a TDI.

It seems their dealerships like to follow in the deceptive practices business model. Last oil change at Platinum Volkswagen I had "2 dented rims" that would cost $175 each to fix. I said no thanks, took to another shop, and they stated that I didn't have any dented rims... That shop was in the business of repairing dented rims, so seems they would have the financial gain to tell me otherwise.

Here is the breakdown of "Suggested Repairs" from this bunch....

$51 to replace an in-cabin air filter that I can tell they didn't really check because I marked the screws.

$8.59 to replace myself, 2 screws and 10 min. Savings doing it myself $42

$540 to change the FRONT rotors that I had changed less than 10,000 miles ago.

I don't think so.

$51 for an engine air filter?

They didn't offer to replace the mount that has been broken for years due to broken clips, so I assume they didn't even look at the filter.

$17.52 on Amazon and 30 seconds to change... $33 savings

$36 to replace a (one) license plate light bulb?
Guess what? $6.26 FOR 4 OF THEM! That is $1.56 EACH! Savings $34

$36 to replace a side marker light? Guess what? IT'S THE SAME BULB AS THE LICENSE PLATE!!! Slightly harder to get to. Took me about 45 seconds vs the 20 seconds to change the license plate. Savings... $34

So, $174 in "charges" to replace two filters and two light bulbs vs. $32 in parts and 15 min in labor. I mean come on. Charge a reasonable price for the parts and maybe $50 in labor.

Boooo.....

Let's see how my next "fix" is on my clogged sunroof drains that I have been living with for about a year...

Well, here I am back to get my clogged sunroof drains cleaned out. Told it shouldn't take more than an hour. Call an hour later to see the progress. Answer: "It seems your rear drains are clogged, and we are putting a price together to unclog them". No duh, they are clogged, that's why I brought it in!

So now it's going to cost me $700+ to get them "fixed".

So what did the $128.40 I agreed to pay cover then you ask?

I guess that cost is just to tell you they there is a problem, not fix anything.

8/3/16 8:45 PM

After watching a few online videos on the issue "How to fix a 2010 Volkswagen sunroof leak" by Lori Roberts (Thank you Lori) I took my automotive panel trim pry bar kit and took the 5 min required to drop the rear part of the headliner. After that, it was SUPER EASY to get to the hoses. I reached in, unplugged the hose that was on the passenger side and water came flowing from the hose as soon as the opening was lower than the top of the car level. The dealership did not perform the services billed. What I was told before leaving very disappointed was that they had performed the clean out procedure that would remove any blockage from all the drains, and the only remaining issue was that the hose had a leak in it where it attaches to the Sunroof. That was not the case, so I have ultimately been charged for services not rendered, and I would like a refund of the $128.40.

They have refunded me but this is still a bigger issue. I have photos of the part that I was told was serviced and it has no evidence of having been cleaned just the day before.

It was a Saturday afternoon, my friends and I just got out of an audi dealer. The 2017 A4 was way softer than I expected , thus we went to VW dealer and would like to try out the new passat and GTI.
After we went around the lot, a sales came over, with big smile.
I said; we would like to test drive the new passat,
he said, sure no problem, would you let me run you credit first?,
I was like, its just a passat...if I like it, I 'll just pay cash .
And he said...without running credit, how would I know, that you guys would be able to afford a new car?....

man.........what a lovely and funny afternoon.
Btw, we total have four folks, three quant analysts, and one former trader.
we did not dress up... on that weekend,
so it might be just our own faults. LOL.

I have been impressed with three county since I bought my wife's passat there about 2 years ago. The sales experience was incredible and I was beyond satisfied. I just had my check engine light come on in my GTI, after determining the cause, and that the part may be under extended warranty from Volkswagen, I spoke to Greg the service advisor. He understood the issue and made the entire experience a breeze. He stayed in contact with me, got the job completed under warranty, and I couldn't be more satisfied. I will not buy my cars or service them like this anywhere else. They are simply the best.

Oil change and check heating system waiting time 4 hours, never mentioned they needed a "special technician" for it. I ended up after 4 hours waiting there, telling them not to check the heating system. They Refused to give a 10% discount for making me wait 4 1/2hrs and all they did was routine oil change. Terrible customer service, I sincerely would never go back to this dealership.

I went to this dealer looking for a lease offer I found online. Gary helped us out. When realizing he didn't have the vehicle in stock, he offered his assistance in locating a vehicle and test driving. Before test driving he wanted to do a hard credit check ( I do understand why) , but without test driving the vehicle first. I told him we would not be doing that until the financing process begins and he became visibly irritable and said there's nothing I can do for us. He walked away from the table without shaking our hands. First and last time I will be attempting to do business here.

These are the most dishonest people in the VW world i ever came across. My wife brought in 2010 VW for diagnostics of the Engine light on. Got quoted most unreasonable price to replace a glow plug and bunch of other unnecessary services including the wiper blades that i replaced 2-3 month ago.
I refused the service at this prices and they charged us almost $200 for diagnostics that should have taken 5 minutes or how ever long it takes to read the error code. I will demand my money back from them and will write to VW corporate about the unethical practices but for everybody out there:
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!

I really liked this place. I had been in the market for either a lease or a car for a few months. I went to two other vw dealers, union and the one in wayne, and three county were the nicest. I also checked out a few other cars. Three county did not rush me or try to pressure me into buying a car. I made a few trips to them to see which car worked out best for me and my budget. I am really happy to have found this dealership. After the way you are pressured and your time is wasting getting a new car can be a hassle but this is the one that worked out for me. I have the 2014 Jetta VW SE and I love it.
