The hotel has an neat historic feel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I slept well. A little disappointed that I had to sign up for the hotels distribution / rewards program to receive free WiFi in my room. Im accustomed to free WiFi for guests without strings attached back home.

Very nice rooms and staff. Food provided for the conference was very good. Had a little bit of issues with my room rate, but, the staff was nice about it worked to address my issue in another way.

centrally located, surely such historical hotels are a matter of taste,
in small details is not always up to date but has charm, had corner room, quiet, two fentster you can open in the upper floors, mattress still ok rather soft,

I enjoyed a delicious lunch in the Grand Ballroom on the 17th floor. The venue was perfect for the large-scale event and I felt comfortable at the seat. The only time that things got cramps is when everybody tried to exit at the same time on three elevators.

Beautiful hotel, convenient to great restaurants and downtown Pittsburgh attractions, but with excellent food in the hotel. And by far, the best staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at.

This hotel was excellent. It was very clean - looked new. The value was exceptional. Although I used points, the actual nightly rate was very reasonable considering how close to the city and shopping this hotel was. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The amount of shopping around the hotel was incredible.

Old fashioned elegance with modern flourishes. Fantastic rooms with plenty of space. The restaurants are great, and you cannot beat the Speakeasy for ambiance and drinks. The best place to stay in downtown Pittsburgh.

My wife and I usually stay here when "getting away" for an evening. The building is definitely older but has good character. Rooms are clean and quiet. And staff are always friendly and courteous. The parking garage can be a bit of a nightmare, but show me one that isn't.

We had an amazing weekend for my sister's birthday. The room was clean and the service was great. We had tea at the Terrace and dinner at the Tap Room with a stop at the Speakeasy in between! All of them were fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.

The Omni operates this venerable old hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. Everything was in great shape, impressive and staying in a hotel that first opened more than 100 years ago is a fun experience. You walk around and see/feel the history everywhere, yet it is in the type of shape as you would expect from a new hotel. All of the staff were helpful and the food was great!

I was almost never able to reach the front desk or concierge during my stay. I would leave voicemails and not receive a call back. I booked this hotel through Expedia because it was listed as VIP hotel; however, I received no upgrades. The front desk staff said they would look into it when I checked in but I did not hear back from them. Expedia tried calling the hotel to sort it out and I was on hold with them for almost 2hrs. Expedia said that they kept being hung up on. The door men were wonderful and so was Danny the Bartender at the Terrace restaurant. The hotel was beautiful and my room was clean. I just wasn't able to get any ones attention when I needed to. Front desk and concierge seemed to be understaffed.

This hotel is clean and well kept. They did us a solid by giving us back to back rooms.
The staff is friendly and willing to help, for a fee of course. Parking is across the street in an underground garage. U can park yourself or go with the valet offering.
Fun and high end, and the costs reflect that.

Always a pleasure to stay at the OWPH. Since it's an older and rustic hotel, in the winter the rooms (exterior walls and around windows) can be a bit chilly. The views are always fantastic as they offer a great look into the architecture of Pittsburgh.

We went to the Wigle whiskey tasting roI'm and had drinks. The cocktails were good and you could also buy bottles. We also relaxed in the hotel lobby, which was nice and had live music.

The Omni William Penn is my go-to hotel in Pittsburgh. The front desk, bell, and housekeeping staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. Dawn, at the Speakeasy, is the best bartender in Pittsburgh. Importantly, and a lot of large hotels are not like this, the William Penn has plenty of elevators to accommodate everyone, even if the hotel is full. Being a Select Guest member gives you nice perks from the start, and the perks increase greatly as you rise in tier. And you can't beat the location- it's walking distance from everything in Downtown Pittsburgh. For convenience, service, and efficiency, you can't beat the William Penn.
