My 81 year old mother was fraudulently sold a timeshare at the Westin Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage CA in May of 2019. She was coerced, pressured and bullied for almost 4 hours until she finally signed the papers even though she didn't really fully understand the transaction that was taking place. She is very ill and heavily medicated and they sold her a timeshare that she cannot use until she is 83 years old. We reached out to the Westin/Vistana and they are unwilling to help make this situation right.
It is unethical and I consider it Elder Abuse and am filing appropriate complaints. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed in the hotel side of this resort.(It has villas as well) the resort itself is well laid out with multiple two story buildings and well appointed rooms. This resort has 3pools. Plus access to the pools available on the villa side. Restaurant on site was great(we only ate Breakfast there). Pools and pool staff were also great. The reason for the 3star instead of 4star rating is to do with Management continually messing up our breakfast package and we continually had to fix it almost Everyday. When I am told "don't worry we will have it fixed for you" I expect that to mean you will fix it. Not just remove the charge and have the same issue the next day. My vacation and the property were great, but this constant issue left me with a sour taste and I will have to question whether I should use this Westin property again.

The check in process was a mess. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours to get to our rooms after driving 5 hrs. Granted it was a group check in but the process should have been much smoother and The afternoon/ evening manager sent me on a wild goose chase to find our group coordinator to help with the check in process rather than taking the time to find them for us. The staffers were very kind however and the resort is beautiful and well kept inside and out.

This could be a much better resort. The grounds are very beautiful and the main facilities such as the gym and pool areas are well kept. What will disappoint you is the rooms, housekeeping or lack of it and also level of cleanliness. I had my neighbors dirty room service dishes sitting outside my door all day and night. This is not an inexpensive resort so you don't expect a Motel 6 experience. I stay in hotels every month and personally like Westin properties but not feeling this place. Room for improvement.

Really nice resort. It's pretty large and spread out, so they give you rides in their golf carts to your buildings. They will also pick you up from your building, but there can sometimes be miscommunications about the pickup location, so make sure you know where they're gonna pick you up! Nice staff, restaurants are overly expensive though and the food takes way too long to come out (took 1 hour for our breakfast to get to our table after ordering and there were barely any customers in the restaurant).

Amazing family getaway! Unlike many upscale resorts this one catered to kiddos with waterslides at the pool, mini arcade, mini golf, movie nights, lawn games and an 11:00 rabbit petting session. My 7 yr old son was in heaven!

We enjoyed playing ping pong with him poolside and sipping our complimentary margarita in the pool.

The grounds and room are wonderful! We'll definitely be back!

We stayed for 5 days in the villas. Awesome property! Activities for all ages, multiple pools, villa had everything we needed, even a washer dryer which was great with kids. Spacious & great for families, full size kitchen & affordable. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was although I am a reward member and booked few months out, we were given a handicap room which made it a little challenging for a family to share the bathroom with no door or enclosure around the toilet. Ha! Next time I will know to note no handicap room online when booking.

I challenge you to try and find their spa menu ANYWHERE... I challenge you to call the spa and have them answer DURING business hours... I challenge you to try and get decent customer service here. I can easily see why the ratings for this place are rancid. Marriott, everywhere, has become a total disaster.

10 days here ... awesome mountain views and great for golfers. Free driving range for guests, $25 daily golf clinics, discounted green fees for owners, shuttles from room to either golf course.

My husband recieved a ticket for a 2 for 1 . He called to arrange a tee time. He was put on hold then dropped. He went through this 3 times. Beautiful golf course but PR is terrible. We will not be recommending them to our friends and visitors in the future.

Exceptional event space. From sales to banquet staff, our team was attended to at every step. These folks are definitely in the hospitality business. Only half star deduction would be on the lunch box menu... sandwiches were lackluster for such a high end feel. Maybe explore other sandwich options with chef.

Two championship golf courses. Both are very fun and wide open from the tee box. The pete dye will force you to shoot at the middle of the greens or you will pay. The Gary player greens are dead straight putts, good luck with that. One of my favorite places to play in the desert.

This place is great! The rooms are nice and spacious. The beds are so amazing and I sleep better at the Westin than at home. The pool is awesome-there s a water slide, jacuzzi and pool bar. The self parking is a pain because if all the spots are taken near your room, you have to walk far... in the scorching heat with no bellman. Also, they don t have an elevator so ask for a first floor room if that s an issue. It s annoying having to carry a bunch of luggage upstairs. The staff is great! I recommend it highly!

The weather is so nice during November month. We stayed on the villas side and it is a walking distance to the resort. It is a beautiful resort and hard to believe the grass (golf course) is so green and there are so many pools in middle of the desert. The golf course is amazing, there are few restaurants between the resort and villa side. It is not too far from Rancho Mirage and there are tons of restaurants between Palm Desert and Palm Springs. If you like outdoor, Palm Springs tramway will take you to 8500ft elevation and there are many hiking trails up there. Joshua Tree NP is a driving distance and it is a good place for hiking, check out Joshua Tree and many places for rock climbing. It is a good winter getting away place.

It's nice. It seems aimed at families with small children-- they have games and a small zoo (very small) with a rabbit and two tortoises. I was there for a conference. The service went well for the most part.

Westin - not off to a good start. Last night after check in, at the Italian restaurant we were standing there waiting to put in a to go order but I thought we were invisible. We were ignored for several minutes.
At the coffee shop this morning, after waiting for smoothies for 25 minutes I decided to cancel them. I never witnessed such incompetence. There is an electronic record of the time i was rung up to the time of the credit as verification. Then, housekeeping completely neglected to vacuum. I'm not picky, but that is basoc, fundamental housekeeping.

This place is old, popcorn still on the ceilings of rooms. Definitely not worth $200 bucks a night. Save your money and head down to La Quinta or the Hyatt Grand. We were unable to get the water in the washroom past luke warm.

We stayed here for Labor Day weekend. We bought the luau but the food wasn't all that great. The chicken and pork tasted like old animals. However, the hula show was a lot of fun and entertaining! I recommend the show!
The rooms were very clean, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious, my favorite being the eggs Benedict. I bought a drink at poolside but the girl used black (rotten) mint in my drink. I felt this was unacceptable considering my drink was $14 plus my tip. A Cabana rental was a whopping $400 a day!!! We did enjoy talented live music and dancing on Saturday night.
I do recommend this resort because of the staff being so friendly and helpful and the rooms and the grounds being so clean and pretty with the waterfalls and ponds, fish, turtle and rabbits. If the food was tastier I would definitely give this Resort a 5 star.

I would give this place a higher review....however, I am just disappointed I left behind my expensive prescription glasses on the table next to the bed in their case. Then when I called a couple of hours after checking out they were gone. The only person that could have taken them were the cleaning people. Otherwise, our stay was good.

We stayed at Mission Hills resort for our winter break and couldn't be happier. The resort is in immaculate shape, and the staff is so friendly and helpful anywhere we went -- at the restaurants, golf course, and driving range. We will be coming back!! Thank you for such a nice stay.

Stay for a few days to enjoy the full layout. Poolside drinks, music and fun. Relaxing SUPERKING beds, a.c. that works, charts to take you EVERYPLACE, nice linen, t.v. room service.....I would finish my review ....but, I'm going back....right now....

The hotel was comfortable inside. The view and bar locations are always fun. They have excellent service and great pools. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The ponds and waterfalls are nice around the golf courses. The service is the best part

Played both the Pete Dye course and the Gary Player course. The Pete Dye course at the main resort was in great shape given the hot June weather. The people who work in the pro shop and the snack bar need some tips on what it means to work in the hospitality business. They didn't seem to want to be there and were not very welcoming. It also took 15 minutes to order and get 3 hotdogs when it should have taken 5. The Gary Player course is the better of the two layouts BUT... it doesn't seem to get as much TLC, since it's not directly at the resort (it's a short drive away). The bunkers on the course were atrocious with standing water in many and just in overall poor shape. They had also aerated the greens a few days before we played and failed to tell us this weekend booking our tee time. It's too bad... these courses have the potential to deliver a five star experience but they just don't.

Nice hotel, beautiful golf course. Rooms need to be updated, they kinda look old. Our room wasnt clean thouroughly and we found empty coke bottles in the closet. I hope that they will address these comments for the sake of future guests

This has to be one of the nicest upscale locations to stay in the Palm Springs area. I can only rave about the Westin, its staff and dining facilities. If you love golf, the Westin is the place to be. Weather permitting it has a great outdoors area for concerts and when the weather does not cooperate large indoor facilities are available. We have enjoyed many great jazz concerts here.

In addition, it is closer to all three entertainment and shopping that Palm Springs has to offer.

The design and rooms are a little dated. The rooms in particular could desperately use some upgraded tech and renovation. Still rocking popcorn ceilings and the entire fridge/coffee bar is plugged into a power strip stuffed next to the bed - we only found two open outlets to use in the entire room outside if the bathroom.

But rooms aside, we're enjoying our stay. The pools and amenities are nice, and the restaurants are good.

Overall good experience during my stay here. There were couple things I wasn't happy about. Like the key would only work on one door to quiet pool but not to the main entry one. So had to go around the fence to the other side to use the door that the key works on. Also, one day after room was cleaned we only had 1 bath towel to share. Had to call and request more towels. On weekends the main pool was too crowded.

Pool service was just OK , my server was great but the bar lady was so rude with a bad attitude, when I asked her a question about the menu I felt like I was bothering her. She gave my group HORRIBLE SERVICE. The grounds could be cleaner but they were nice. Overall was a nice resort, a good value for the money. I would had gave 5 stars easy but Just wish the pool people were a little better.

We just got back from our weekend getaway at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort and Spa. I cannot say enough how fantastic our experience was at this hotel. The service was impeccable. Shout out to David and Abram at the Adult Pool who made our cabana experience so incredibly wonderful and provided phenomenal service. Thank you to Jose, Jose Luis, Maria, and Enrique in the Pinzimini restaurant and the fabulous bartender who's name I unfortunately didn't catch that made me an amazing cocktail. Thank you to Mike at the clubhouse and Erin at the front desk. The amenities at this resort are fantastic: shuttles around the resort, shuttle to the casino and back, golf club storage at the club house, excellent driving range with balls set out in neat stacked pyramids, fantastic pools and lounge areas. We even were greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine and fresh berries and chocolate sauce as a way to thank us for our Gold Elite member status and to honor the celebration of our 11 year wedding anniversary. We will be back again!
