Have been coming here for years with our family. Absolutely love this place. Get drinks poolside. Tasty food and excellent service!
Not busy during the week. Weekends can get pretty crowded.

The Westin had a full buffett for returning guests at midnight. As soon as you got off the shuttle bus, BAM! A freaking awesome buffett. This place makes the Doubletree Palm Springs look like a pile of poop.

Our family has spent a couple of mini vacations and we all love it. Given its only a couple of hours from our home here in Orange County we hope to make another trip soon.
So much for he kids to do as well as us parents. Great restaurants, room service, pools, games area , water slides and golf courses.
Would recommend it for any families.

Very friendly staff! We are here every year for Camp Yearbook. Despite the 110 temp the pools are refreshing yes I said pool's' . There are three 2 with slides and volleyball net. Surrounded by plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas with cabanas for rent. The third pool is smaller but adults only do it is very peaceful. The staff is wonderful. Myra goes far beyond her duties to be sure you are comfortable. If I were to complain about anything out would be the popcorn ceiling in our room. It just looks so dated. Not much to complain about.

The Westin had a 9 & Wine golf event that turned out to be a disaster!! We were so disappointed. The weather changed to cold and windy. They still had the cold appetizers and wine outside practically blowing away. Far less than adequate appetizers, consisting of cheese, crackers, and fruit for over 70 people. No refills for anything. The last ones off the course lost out. The description online stated there would be food and drinks on every hole. Very disorganized event.

Place is ok however is dated and needs lots of money to renovate it, old wood furniture from the 80's al worn out. My room has black mold out of the a/c grille, it seems that they only take money out of this place, hospitality in general could be better, more genuine and caring .

A little disappointing for the price. The rooms were clean and nice, but the grounds felt kind of hokey. We ate at the italian restaurant, which was really good until we got to the main course, which was AWFUL. A hotel this nice should have a decent restaurant, as well as a lower cost option (there was none).

Very beautiful hotel with manicured lawns all around. Did not use the golf course. The restaurant was a bit pricey. Let to much to do around the hotel itself. Palm Springs is a great weather retreat. Just north of us California was experiencing heavy wildfires.

I spent ten nights at this property. It is run down, poorly maintained, and service is average at its very best. My first impression of the room was a sticking door leading to dirty vents and furniture(see photo). What appeared to be specks of dirt in the bathroom were actually chips in porcelain fixtures and tiles. With an ice machine that does not work and the worn down look, the place has the feel of a dilapidated Super 8. The outdoor veranda was nice, but the furniture was covered with thick dust. Does anyone ever wipe down this stuff between guests?

Westin properties usually have great in room dining, but Mission Hills is the exception. The menu is limited, and there are discrepancies between the menu on the Bonvoy app and the printed room menu. Items were inconsistent. The identical entree differed from night to night, sometimes made with lettuce, sometimes kale, without explanation. When meals were delivered, items specific to a dish were missing, such as salad dressing or sauce. Upon both placing the order and delivery, staff strongly emphasized to call to have the tray picked up after dining. After two nights in a row of calling and then no one coming by, I gave up on the idea, and then understood why one sees food trays laying outside all over the grounds. So do not participate in this charade or delay bedtime waiting for a tray pick up.

I had an envelope mailed to the hotel, and was charged $10 for this service . I inquired about the charge, and asked where such charges are listed so a guest would know upfront. There was nothing in the room or on the hotel TV information to explain this. I was told it was online on the Mission Hills website. After a substantial search, I found nothing on the website. Additionally, my tracking info showed the envelope had been delivered to the hotel eight hours before, yet there was no attempt by the hotel to make the delivery, or even inform me of its arrival. When it was delivered to my room, I was asked to sign for the package, but inspection of the slip showed it is an invoice to authorize being charged. The lack of transparency on this hidden charge delivery process was aggravating and is extraordinarily dishonest. The delivery charge is listed as Rent-Other on the hotel bill. What an innocuous looking, misleading description to rip off guests for a few extra bucks! If the Westin Mission Hills can sneak in a line item delivery charge in a lengthy bill, who is going to notice? I am glad that I did.

Many say the grounds are nice, and they are in that they are in a beautiful part of the country. But nature, and not the Westin, makes this happen. To the contrary, rotting citrus fruit or large bird excrement tracked by a golf cart will be visible on a sidewalk for your entire stay (see photo). I did not see one person tending to the filthy walks during an eleven day stay.

It is tempting to think a leisurely stroll while looking at the surrounding mountains is possible, but sadly it is not. All main pedestrian paths are shared by golf carts, with hotel employees zooming very closely by pedestrians at surprisingly high speeds, with near sadistic glee. On more than one occasion I saw a guest yell, Slow down! out of concern for their safety. You will be so focused on listening for the whir of golf carts that your evening walk will be as relaxing as a stroll in the middle of Interstate 10.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel unless one needs to stay in the immediate area. To think of it as a luxury resort is ludicrous. General Manager Scaramellino, save your empty boilerplate reply to this review and do something meaningful, like hiring more people so the property can be improved and the service can show tangible improvement.

This place used to be really great. Customer service has really gone down hill here. Our prices for our Maintenence keeps going up but they took away the ovens, the roll away beds, the pool is murky. Towels are old and thin. Gym not clean. No servers though out the day for food. Ice machine broken in room. Events like s mores suppose to happen and it just didn t. Hotel and villas not even know what s going on. So disappointed.

The customer service is really really terrible! Charged me twice my fee and took a long time to get my money back. In addition, we had a drone to fly. Their employees said it's okay to fly it, but manager said that's not allow. We ask for the drone instruction and rules, there are no certain rules for that. That's stupid service. In words, it was my worst trip in all SPG.

I didn't have a good experience here. The valet team was good at brining us to our rooms but poor St picking us up. Several times we called for a pickup and ended up walking because they did not show up. My colleagues and I also experienced billing problems that took two weeks to resolve. In good conscience I can't recommend this property.

Stunned.... Stunned I say! The level of customer service at EVERY level at EVERY locale in the resort is 6 star. There are more opulent resorts and hotels in the world -- However, I defy any hotel or resort to show the level of the pride and high-touch personal service of the Westin staff. They all were genuinely concerned that I have a phenomenal time.

The pools were clean. The food on the resort was great. The ducks were cute. The rooms were well designed. The drinks were well made.

What a terrible experience and start to a short vacation. I ve stayed at many hotels and resorts in many places throughout the country. Amanda is the front desk employee at the Spa. She has to be the most rude person I ve ever met in a hotel, resort or motel. She argues about everything, cuts you off and hangs up the phone purposely. You can t wven get a word in. There is some serious coaching that needs to be done because right now she is a direct reflection of the type of place this is. Which is very bad

We had an enjoyable time. The resort has everything you could want for a family. I do think 4 nights is a bit long, given the amount of stuff there is to do in the area. That being said, we had a memorable time.

We stayed here for our anniversary, and it was so beautiful. The grounds were immaculate and we wished we were staying longer to just sit and relax and enjoy the beauty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our reservation included breakfast, which was a delicious buffet with eggs benedict, scones, made-to-order omelets, pancakes, fruit, potatoes, and more. We hope to return soon!

Typical high end golf resort in the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area. Classy place - huge pool, beautiful golf course, great service. Restaurants were good but expensive, nice bar. Tennis courts were good but need to be resurfaced. The rooms were huge with nice balconies overlooking the course.

Just here one night, which was enough for me. While the grounds were impeccable, and the valet and check-in staff quite charming, the room we stayed in #1217 was quite dated and seemed run down. Being in town for a math conference, we missed out on the hotels near our venue, so my friend tried to find us something near by. Being a teacher, I am not independently wealthy, so I was a bit taken aback at the $250+/night cost of our room, but was guardedly hopeful that this room was going to be incredible. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I had a sick feeling in my stomach when we got to our room, because even though I was expecting an amazing $250 room, what we got was nothing better than a $100/night room. I've stayed in Courtyards that were so much nicer, and I cannot believe that we spent almost $300 for a room of such low caliber. I was expecting so much more from a Westin, but was instead extremely disappointed. We will not be back.

I suggest buying your meats and snacks and utilizing all the amenities in the room and the resort. The pools were clean and not crowded. We had a great night at Mission Hills. The rooms are all good sized and the beds are nice. The pool is decent sized and the waterslide is a very nice touch for the kids. Highly recommended for anyone interested in staying in Palm Springs.
