the best place and the best services for students. Moreover, the academic support for the international students helping in their academic writing by hooking them with tutors. I love this place.

It's not bad, per se, it just pales in comparison to the Newton Free Library. Doesn't have as many cozy nooks and crannies as that one; its weird automatic sliding doors and the cafe inside give it a vibe I don't really desire in a library. It's okay for a bi-yearly visit.

I'm glad this is my current neighborhood library. They have great programming and a beautiful space.

Some of my favorite things: Monday Movie nights, puzzles you can check out and do at home, the quiet work space on the second floor with beautiful wood tables.

I LOVE this library. They have a great selection of books and their online inter library sharing system makes the selection even better. Their website and app also make it very easy to request books, making it easy to just come pick them up. There are great areas for reading, studying and for kids. They also provide a lot of other great resources and the librarians are always very friendly.

I never do this, but I felt the strong need to write this complaint due to the behavior of one of the employees. I have just left the library, and was packing up to leave (on the second floor). I do not know the name of the employee, however to give a good description she was a Caucasian woman, about middle aged, had glasses on with curly hair, who spoke to me very unprofessionally. I believe she had been working at the library for years, I am a student, and usually study there, and have always felt the unfriendly nature she has projected to the library. However today, she went above and beyond I have never felt so disrespected in my life, especially from a worker. This is a case of someone being discriminating. I do not want to go into too many details, but I strongly urge whoever is in charge to speak to this employee and have them understand there is a correct way to speak with customers, this is not okay. In addition to what happened today, trying to rush people when there is still 5 minutes left until the library closes in a rude manner is not okay. We are all adults, and understanding people, we know the employees would like to go home. We are packing up and getting ready to leave regardless, there is absolutely no need to 1) raise your voice angrily, 2) talk back to an innocent person in a rude manner, and 3) be unprofessional. This woman screamed at me at the top of her lungs (mind you I was the only one in the room), stating the library is closing and she proceeded to yell about other things. I am honestly still in shock someone can behave in this manner. Such a shame.

This is a very nice library. The building is pretty and the inside is clean. It has a good area for kids and some convenient meeting rooms as well. You've got your typical crowd using the free computers, but if you bring your laptop the wifi is excellent. Their collection seems well stocked too. The only knocks I can give this library is that it's not as quiet as others and it could use some cozy spots to tuck yourself away so you can really immerse yourself in a book or your work.

This library is the definition of "family-friendly." There are daily activities for kids and families, it has terrific resources for community engagement, and there is a proactive staff who cares a great deal about all customers who walk in the door. My family and I are lucky to live so close!

Rigid librarians that won t act as a proctor because you re not a resident, despite being an out of state student that has no other place to turn to. Obviously not interested in the betterment of youth in the town which is pretty sad to see.

Pleasant Staff!

Pleasant Staff!

Except for one woman staff person who was (is??) all too eager and annoyingly rude to get people out before closing time as they're already rushing to gather their belongings and leave. It seems at closing time all staff members must wait in the lobby until every single patron has left. One reason for the rush may be that the mean woman wants to catch the bus that arrives at 8:55 or 9 p.m. The next 71 bus arrives twenty minutes later.

Otherwise I'd go with five stars for the library as a whole. I really wanted to!

On a positive note again, the library, is open more hours each week and opens on minor holidays and snow days than libraries in surrounding towns and cities. I appreciated that!

Nice library environment. The cafe and book sale are awesome.

Lastly, several restaurants and CVS are close to the library. Watertown Square.

This library is amazing. The people are nice, and kids have lots of fun here. My family always goes here for books, and we don't even live here! We sometimes get movies too. Everything is free, just make sure you return your book on time! :P

I have my choice of public libraries, but I prefer Watertown. The facility is simply beautiful -- well lit, spacious, and full of computers and public meeting rooms. Unlike other libraries in the area, it has an extensive collection of non-traditional media, including manga, video games, audiobooks, and self-study materials. It has a separate collection for younger children and another separate collection for older children, as well as a schedule of events for both age groups. It also has a cafe that serves beverages and simple food that is tasty and fairly priced.

Being the book worm that I am, without a doubt the WFPL truly is the greatest public library that I have ever entered, and I have been coming here for 8 years now. I absolutely adore the ultra-wide selection of DVDs and, not to forget, the countless selection of newly-released book titles.
