A wonderful place to spend the week or just a few days
Great location in the middle of it all. Close to the sports stadiums.
Great hotel which is perfectly located right in the heart of downtown. Just a 2 minute walk from Pacific centre, and in walking to distance to everything. Located right next to a tim hortons, Starbucks and IGA so no need to look far for food and drinks. Hotel is clean and chic. Loved it. Would stay here again for sure.
In spite of some consistently and shockingly long waits for elevators [guests bonding over this universal experience at this particular hotel], I can give you a solid thumbs up for this Westin Grand. Our family of four enjoyed the room, really enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and loved walking out the door and trekking down Robson street.
I popped out at 7 each morning and enjoyed a coffee from Starbucks, there are two of them... one on each corner of the street opposite the hotel on Robson. There is a liquor store in the exterior retail of the building with a satisfying selection of beer and wine, and an IGA for anything else you might need. We bought fresh berries there on the way back to the room one morning.
I will plead with you to consider walking the half block to Medina and enjoying a meal there. It is special. We've dined there twice acrooss two visits in a years time and were essentially thrilled with the experience.
Staff at Westin Grand were very helpful, and warm and friendly without exception. Facilities felt clean, but I do note that the pool ran completely out of towels both evenings we visited, so we had to hunt and peck for hand towels. Also, piles of used towels overflowed the towel bins on the pool deck. Not a good look. Guests deserve fresh clean towels for the prices paid to stay here.
To my surprise and delight, I was able to park our Honda Pilot SUV + 4 bike platform style rack in the parking garage.
Check out was a breeze, and I left feeling great about our experience and the value for the money we spent.
Had a great experience, we were upgraded to one of the top floors with an awesome view.
Great room, clean, spacious. Bed was awesome, slept like a baby. Zero issues.
The rooms were quite spacious for the price, separate bath and shower also a plus, and it's only a few blocks away from the Skytrain. Definitely one of the better hotels in downtown Van.
We spent a few days here on our Honeymoon, and they spoiled us rotten! My husband and I loved it so much we kept joking about never leaving. Great food, amazing views, location is prime for basically everything, amazing service. The rooms are simply elegant, and the bed and linens were the perfect equation to sleeping like a baby.
I had a great experience here from the beginning. The valet was friendly and very quick. The desk asgents were extremely nice and helpful. The newly renovated room was nicely furnished and immaculately clean with one of the nicest hotel bathrooms I've seen. Great location, would stay here again.
Great hotel in a good location. There seem to be a lot of 1 bedroom suites in this hotel because I get upgraded to one every time.
The valet parking is pretty quick at getting your car.
Hotel looks good but professional event doesn't look managed in planned manner. Food was ok could be little more better.
Best sleep at a hotel ever! Rooms are modern and the staff is very friendly. Probably the quietest hotel both from internal noise and outside noise. Hard to believe there were other guests on our floor.
Restaurant was nice. Rooms are good, older but good. Nice of the water and library. Service was good. Elevators are super slow. Nice lobby.
Enjoyed my short stay here
I stayed in the hotel for a day and therefore my inputs are initial impression alone. However, the staff knew that we were visiting to celebrate our anniversary and they surprised us with sparkling wine and an amazing dessert. This was a nice touch and much appreciated. Made our day and we left the hotel with a loving memory.
The hotel itself was clean and the staff was responsive. It is centrally located on the famous Robson street, short walk away from food and shopping...tons of it.
I will recommend this hotel if you are in Vancouver.
Fabulous room. Lots of space. Well appointed. Great location. Clean and chic.
This was an amazing hotel. It even smelled luxurious!
Used their parking garage. Locked overnight (7-7) unless you have a hotel key card. More expensive than easypark but you can park overnight. It was $34.
Nice rooms, good location, a little hard to find the lobby entrance on Robson street
Great convenient downtown location, clean, woth friendly staff.
We love the hotel and whole experience of staying there. We went for our 50th anniversary for four days. The reception staff were excellent even sent a surprise bottle of wine and chocolate cake with Happy 50th anniversary on it.(thank you for that) Found all the staff very friendly and helpful. The suites were perfect for us, lots of room and very comfy..Location could not have been better for us to venture out and feel safe. thanks again
Great room. hot water in the shower was tricky to get right (but plenty of hot). Elevators are under service, can be slow and frustrating.
Nice rooms, bed was comfortable, but the elevators are slow.
30 stories. 2 elevators. End of story. I'd give it 4-5 stars without this. The engineer who designed this for #Westin should be fired, and then fired again. If you're doing business from this hotel, make sure to LEAVE EARLY because it could take you 15-20 minutes to get down to the street, especially during peak times.
Great view had lots of great restaurants around was easy to find. Only problem parking is $35 a night! Bit outrageous but worth it for the stay
Awesome hotel, in a great area. Walking distance to tons of restaurants and attractions. They have very nice amenities; pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and 24 fitness center. I didn't eat at the restaurant but grab drinks, looks like it has a great menu
Stayed here in August and this was my experience. I have to say we were really excited to stay at the Westin. As we arrived the bell man I believe his name is Shane was extremely nice and Joey at check in was great. We asked to be put in a quiet area and unfortunately that wasn't the case.
We got the best room we could get online, the suite, which is on a high floor and a corner suite.
There is pretty intense construction going on on one side of the hotel. Not the hotels construction but a building directly across from it. It's loud, banging and crashing and it gets quite annoying when you hear it for hours.
We called the front desk and got to the other side of the hotel. In the meantime, I emailed the GM who I saw had responded to reviews before with his email.
His response was rude in my opinion he said "...what control do you think we have over the construction that is going around us. And in the City. I am sure some days are more noisy than others. Our windows keep it to a minimum and tolerable".
And I can assure you that the windows don't keep it to a minimum and tolerable.
We are now on the other side of the hotel. The room is nice but has some wear and tear. Some water stains and mold in the shower and in other areas.
A pretty rude response in my opinion from someone in a customer service management position. Especially when marriot is having its lowest occupancy rates in 92 years.
Location was convenient; service was not bad. However, they forgot to serve my dinner until I made an inquiry! That was a bit embarrassing as I watched other guests finishing up their dinner while I tried to wave down a waiter to ask about my dinner.
We have a lovely spacious suite . Friendly and helpful staff. We think its fabulous.
Great location, well renovated. A bit tough to find if you're coming from some sides
Their version of a 1 bedroom suite is literally a regular hotel room with a wall between the bed and a couch, at best they should advertise it as a junior-suite. I called front desk and they asked for more money to get an actual suite. The manager was very rude, condescending and arrogant. There are only 2 slow elevators for the entire hotel, close to 30 floors so you ll be waiting a looooong time, plan an extra 5-10 minutes to get to the lobby. The rooms look recently renovated but you could see this is an old hotel that s just been given a little facelift. Very disappointed, the reviews sounded positive but I guess it s not for discerning guests. First and last time staying here! Do yourself a favour and stay next door at L Hermitage, I know I will.
Better service than the Fairmont , great location near take town And all ameneties, rooms were clean. Parking garage is a bit tight, but the valet and concierge are very helpful. Overall a good location.
Room was very nice. Really good location downtown! My only complaint would be the shower/sink got hot too fast haha.
I've been here twice now and loved every minute of my stay! Great rooms for reasonable prices and on top of that friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody staying downtown!
Very comfortable, spacious room with a balcony. The pool was refreshing and they had a decent gym, and sauna as well. Great location and the staff went above and beyond any time we needed anything. Even with the restrictions of COVID-19 they still made the visit very positive and enjoyable.
Excellent hotel rooms nice suites beautiful views of the city.
Very nice hotel. Good guest service. Be sure to try the Hendrick's restaurant.
Very nice room and friendly staff...loved our view of the airplanes landing...very quiet
It is clean, service is fast. Cosierge is helpful. There is many amenities, including a gym and outdoor pool/hot tub.
Great service at the front desk. Really takes care of the guests and tries to make it as easy as possible. They even have 15% discount coupons for guests to eat at their patio pop up during the summer.
The staff here were very friendly, beds were realm good and was close to a lot of good restaurants
Beautiful hotel in downtown Vancouver. We arrived before check in, so our room wasn't quite ready. Staff offered to hold our luggage until check in, or have us pay for an upgraded room. They offered a similar room with a better view for 10$ extra, or a large suite with a patio for 20$ instead of the regular 70$ due to constriction on the floor above. Elected for the 20$ option and enjoyed beers on the patio with a view of downtown. Staff was kind and courteous, hotel was clean and in a great location.
Elevator was not working, they charge for parking and still it is not safe to park your car in their own parking lot.
It's Westin, but short of 'Grand' part. Located on a busy street with the historic library right next door, making it a wonderful place to stay. The suites are simple and elegant, and the staff always ready then be helpful. Lobby is less than attractive. The best part is the open but a warm water pool on the 3rd floor with a hangout area to look over the historic library. Restaurants nearby are average to poor, so you may have to walk or drive a little for good eating. If your places to visit are in downtown, you can walk to most of them making it a we'll located property.
We were there for a Stagette, clean rooms and nice amenities. Would recommend for a stay again
Location in center on downtown with good restaurant and comfortable stay
The room was very nice and spacious. The king size bed was comfy and the staff were quite nice. I would happily stay again
Nice beds, excellent service. Though as typical, the bar is a bit pricy, it's not horrible, and if you prefer, there are several local choices.
Stayed 2 nights here before going on the Rocky Mountaineer. Had a beautiful suite (which we didn't expect) looking down onto the pool. Lovely sitting area, separate bedroom, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, in-room safe, fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, and every conceivable toiletry you could wish for - even wee bottles of mouthwash! Loads & loads of sockets throughout the suite. Breakfast was very, very good. Absolute luxury!
Out stay was short but wonderful. Quiet, clean, and safe hotel located in a bustling area of Vancouver. Walking distance to Granville and Robson streets withe plenty of great places to eat located nearby.
After staying in several 4 star hotels in Vancouver, this is my favorite. The location is great and the rooms are fantastic. Very modern, clean, and in great condition. I love the queen suite room. It gives you plenty of space and having a seperate sleeping room is fantastic. This is my first choice when staying in Vancouver.
Great hotel, I received a nice upgrade as a gold star SPG member. The restaurant downstairs (Hendricks) makes a stiff Negroni, which is just the way I like it.
Was here for a wedding. Hotel was under construction, but the service was superb and it was an overall nice experience
Certainly a great location and it has a nice small pool and Jacuzzi as well. Rooms are a little tight, big problem was how slow the two elevators were. Otherwise a typical wonderful Westin stay.
Great courteous staff..great location..nice room and amenities...1st class
Very stylish rooms with an excellent view. LOTS of natural light. Very comfy beds. And the bathroom was stellar.
Great location, great restaurant, beautiful decorum.
Great stay, rooms were huge and plenty of space. Front desk was responsive. Recommended for visitors!
Clean, large rooms. Centrally located in downtown Vancouver - easy to walk to places, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby, Vancouver Art Gallery less than 10 min on foot. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Registration is on the second floor. Great pool and exercise area. Would stay again.
Great staff and rooms, though pool service was lacking (waitress never made it over after more than an hour). Tasty restaurant on site. Now if only they had more than two elevators! Tip: grab an Up elevator and ride it back down during busy times. You'll thank yourself later.
Great downtown hotel walking distance to restaurants, shopping, bars, museums, and theaters.
Great, clean rooms with nice perks like aromatherapy roller fragrance for your pillow.
They recently spent millions doing a full renovation of the hotel bringing it back up to 5 star accommodation standards. The new resto-lounge Hendricks is beautiful, with live music or DJ on thurs-sat. A brand new cocktail list and great staff as well makes this the place to hang out for a drink or a comfortable place to stay while vacationing or on business. I've had nothing but exemplary experiences with this Westin.
Visiting Vancouver for the Concert or Canucks games, stay at the Westin Grand walking distance to both Arenas and in the heart if DT.
