Pacific Palisade and Residence on Georgia Review

Very unfair practices and discrimination when choosing potential tenants. Beware. Sick, greedy and ignorant individuals manage this property.

I would definitely not rent here again. Worst landlords I ever met. No human touch, just a Corporate and administrative approach to your stay. They will try and win every penny you will leave with your security deposit.

Very rude building managers. I always treat everyone nicely, even when they are impolite. But the building managers (Cynthia specially) are rude, talk down to people for no reason, are condescending when you ask questions. The building is well maintained and the rest of the staff is friendly. But, unfortunately, the managers are just not good people. Be aware.

I lived in this building for 6.5 years. The lobby floors are cleaned daily, the hallways on all floors are vacuumed at least twice a week. The managers were always professional. The building does have strict security features (including requiring common sense by tenants). Who wants to live in a building were it's a free-for-all with drug dealers, addicts and illegal sublets (aka AirBNB)? If that is you, then this building is not for you. For the cost of rentals in Vancouver, you expect everything to be 'right' and that's how this building is run. Cynthia and Fritz know what they are doing and do it VERY well. Anyone saying they are rude obviously just didn't get their way because of the rules of the building. Yes, you can find cheaper rentals but only if you want to live in previous crime scenes with stained carpets and apartments that were last updated in the 1970's.

I am very surprised to read those poor reviews for Pacific Palisades. Maybe it's a new management team - I have had nothing but pleasant experience with three different Property/Building Managers I've dealt with. They were very organized and punctual with lease signing appointment and move-in arrangement. The management team is extremely responsive to any questions/issues. Cynthia was even replying on Canada day. The building is kept immaculately and clean. The strict policy regarding losing your fob and no delivery allowed in is the reason why the building is so secure and quiet.

There was no issues when it comes to screening as I am a minority myself. They just asked for the standard employment and landlord references and called me in to sign the lease next day.

The WORST PLACE to live ever!
Management team beyond terrible, they will make sure that you feel not welcome at all.

They always treat you as they are doing a favor for you.

If you forget your fob accidentally they will charge you C$50.00 to let you access your suite otherwise they won t let you in.

Do you have a bike? Don t bother bring it, they will not give you a fob that opens the gate, they will make you have to deal with the small gate hassle gate door that barely open.

Oh, not even telling you that other tenants had their bikes stolen from inside the bicycle room and the building management didn t even bothered to investigate.

They find any excuse to inspect your suite saying that is for safety purpose and they starting accusing you of having damaging it.

Honestly this is the last place that you want to live even for a single day.

You can definitely find better places around the neighbourhood even cheaper than here.

I wish you guys all the luck that I didn t have when I got this terrible building with awful management team.

As an international student who was brand new to the area, I was very nervous to find a place in the very competitive Vancouver rental market. I'm so grateful to have worked with the Pacific Palisades team. They were incredibly helpful and professional during my entire application/stay process with them! They even helped us find an incredible mover on our way out. Thanks, Pacific Palisades team!

I usually never write a review for rentals but this place definitely stood out. I thought it was a scam at first as they demanded a copy of my passport, filled out application and other details before I could even see the unit. Nevertheless I filled out the application and told them I would like to see the unit before I provide photo ID and my passport/citizenship, they then told me my application was rejected without any reason.

I can understand Building Managers have to deal with a lot of crazy things on a daily basis, but they should not talk down to people. They assume it's your fault without asking what happened. They are friendly , just bad approach. When they found out that we are looking for other rental, they canceled our appointment last minute.
