All staff have been at a consistent level of delightfulness, always available and always greeting with open friendliness. Intelligent room upkeep over the days that we have spent here, with fresh towels and coffee without overhauling the whole suite. Excellent, will recommend and will love to stay here again.

Queen junior suite on the 20th floor. Amazing view. Room had ample space, loved the separation between the bedroom and living area. Spacious bathroom. Hotel has a pool and workout area, did not check out these features but looked great. Overall, was an excellent hotel, right on point for Westin quality. Will be back again for a summer trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Westin Grand. Its in the heart of downtown, and there are tons of places to eat close by. Everything is basically walking distance and I recommend saving money by not getting a rental car, since everything is super close ! They upgraded our room for a minor fee and the room was awesome, with a little balcony. Two tvs in the room, and room service was great. The location was busy and the hotel front is a little awkward. I would stay here again but will explore other options next time

We were a guest s visitors when an uncalled for incident happened passed midnight and we were put in a uncomfortable position. We have been assisted courteously by Brando Seguin, a Guest Services Associate and his colleague who have been very friendly and accommodating. They calmly kept the current condition of our visit pleasing and sorted out the situation effectively turning around the entire situation. Employees like them make a customer s stay very satisfying. Outstanding customer service!

The elevators weren't working and haven't been for months. We were on our honeymoon and had to walk the stairs 3 times to the 28th floor. Otherwise it's a nice hotel. But phone first cause we couldn't find it posted anywhere about the elevators. It's been 4 months.

Nice room, way too overpriced considering the entire building is going through renos and smells like the paint aisle at a home improvement store. Staff friendly at first but service declines as the night progresses. Would not ever stay here again

I stay at this hotel frequently, and the elevators have finally finished being upgraded, making the worst part if the hotel much better. The rest of the hotel is great, with larger than usual rooms and a large workout area. The hotel is right on Robson, close to many restaurants and shopping. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the closest Skytrain station. The staff is friendly, and they seem to be happy, with little turnover that I can see in terms of front desk staff.

Location of the hotel is very central and close to everything. The room was nice and didn't really seem that clean. Most Westins leave water in the room but you have to request it here. Average but still nice

Place is nice. Rooms were renovated with nice materials. Pool was very handy. Rooms very clean and modern. The elevators are horrible, it can take 10 min for one to arrive, and often it's full. Plan extra time as this slow elevator seems to be a thing about half the time you need it.

Nice accommodations, but only having two elevators...

Nice accommodations, but only having two elevators means constant waiting when leaving or returning to your room.

Edit: stayed here for two weeks on a business trip and won't come back. The elevator situation involved upwards of thirty minutes spent waiting for an elevator both leaving and returning to the hotel, as well as stops on every floor going both ways. It added absurd time buffers to any planning, and was clearly hurting house keeping staff's ability to move through the hotel--as the service elevator had been open to guest use to ameliorate the situation.

Elevators, like running water, are not supposed to be a factor in choosing a business hotel. But here we are with a hotel with one half the number of hotels it would need to operate during off season.

With working schedules impacted, and a price of $500 a night, it just isn't worth the headache to deal with.

As other reviewers have said, the elevators can be a little slow, but, other than that, this hotel was amazing. I was really happy with our stay and Philip at the front desk did a great job getting us set up.

I stayed at 3 different hotels of the same class in Vancouver during the month of December of 2019. This would be what I put as number 1. The room is very well kept, the bath tub is invitingly clean. We booked a corner room on the 30th floor with balcony and they exceed our expectation, so many windows looking over the city. Parking was also cheaper than the other hotels.

Great hotel. Super clean and comfortable rooms. Amazing views of the city and great location for shopping, restaurants and more. Great large gym which is always a plus, along with great views and a nice pool attached. Rooms are spacious so plenty of room to spread out. Bathroom and shower were also great. Friendly staff! Loved this Westin!

Everyone very polite & helpful, the rooms clean & well kept. HENDRICKS restaurant was a lovely experience, stiff drinks made & funky tunes getting spun for a bit of our dinner by a live DJ very central location, over all very glad we had a staycation night here for some city fun!!!

Staying at the Westin Grand in Vancouver is always a pleasant experience, I really won't stay anywhere else. At this moment the hotel is under renovation, the original lobby and front entrance are not accessible. This time I stayed in one More

Great option for lieasure and business stays during visits to Vancouver. Nicely located in the downtown area with plenty of food and entertainment option with a few blocks. Underground garage ($35 self-park, $39 valet - way slower), bar and restaurant on premises. All rooms are suites, but utilizing "living" room's pull out queen sofa for sleeping will make for tight quarters. Gym is smallish, but heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi are great.

Rooms compact. Bedroom nice. Mattress comfortable. Our room had compact kitchen which was brilliant. Coffee machine and kettle in room.
Room not well sound isolated. Noise from other rooms above audible. Bathroom fan noisy. Air-conditioning when turned off provides continual noise - annoying when using second bed (sofa bed) in living area. Slightly short of sleep.
Hotel modern. Staff polite, but not understanding of issues. Bar OK. Restaurant small. Food tasty. Concierge friendly and helpful

Nice hotel. Executive suite was disappointingly smaller than I expected. Outdoor pool deck was closed for renovations. Corner balcony was tiny, but view from 28th floor was nice. Second time staying here. Interacted with several staff members, but was not impressed. Not sure if I'll be back for a third.

Good location right in the heart of Robson Street with a liquor store/restaurant on one side and a coffee/donut shop on the other. The lifts take FOREVER to arrive so be prepared to spend a lot of time waiting for lifts. The outdoor pool area is nice but infrequently attended to. Pool towels tend to run out and not be replaced often enough and the tables were not cleared of dirty plates and left over food promptly.

Very disappointed - it took 2 hours to get a room even though we arrived at 3pm (at which time it was supposed to be ready), the reception was unfriendly, gave us keys that did not work and insinuated we were too dumb to know how to open the door.
On top, there are 2 lifts for a huge building, and we had to wait literally 8 minutes to be able to get in.
Rooms were recently renovated and are quite nice.
We ve been in 3 different Westin hotels in the past month so far, and this one was the only time we were disappointed.

A few weeks ago we stayed once again at the Westin Grand and it continues to be our favourite hotel in Vancouver. From the moment you drive up to the valet parking, until you enter your room, every single staff member has a smile on their face and welcomes you to their great hotel. Anything you need will be arranged by a staff member from martini glasses in your room when required (thanks Craig!) to extra teapots in your room (thanks roomservice!) to loading up your car with your luggage so you can run one more errand (thanks valet parking!)
We really appreciate you being so accommodating and so attentive to make our stay even more pleasurable. We can't wait to come back for another visit.
We love your rooms, the view and the location. Thank you all!

Very well appointed rooms and the hotel restaurant was great. Location was convenient to access a lot of the city and its shopping/dining areas. We were advised at check-in that the property is undergoing an elevator remodel that will take several months to complete. The wait times to go up or come down were lengthy, but the staff opened the service elevator to the customers.

Stayed here on a rewards stay and they treated us very well. Room was fantastic, with a great view of the library and BC Place. We had breakfast in our room and this was very reasonable. I honestly did not want to leave. The valet parking was also reasonably priced.

Regarding the elevators, there are normally 2 however one is under repair. So they added the service elevator to help out. It all worked out just had to head out a few minutes early.

Everyone the valet, the front desk and room service were great.

Location is good, the suite has two large TVs both could connect your own device so we had a good time with our Switch.
The two cons of this hotel are:
There is no in room refrigerator, instead you get a cooler with warm beer inside.
The shower room is really tiny, be careful with your arms.

We were at the Westin for a drink to cap off our date night. The Bartender was professional and made a mean drink. Unlike so many other supposed lounges in town, this one doesn't have music blasting your senses into oblivion, nor is it full of the din of other diners, making it an ideal environment for a more intimate experience. If you're looking for a place to have a well made cocktail and to have a chat to wind down the night, look no further. Only complaint really is where the guitarist for the live music was located. Placed directly beside the bar, almost in the corner, making it a little inaccessible aside from the small area immediately beside him. Aside from that, it's a great find.
