It's what you would expect from a Westin. There is a concern about noise from planes passing over head but it's not bad at all from top 2 floors. Theres a rooftop pool which makes for a great view of the planes coming in. Kids loved that.

Great hotel. Very clean, friendly staff, excellent amenities. The optional lavender bedtime oils were a great touch. The rooftop pool and workout facilities were fantastic
Usually, the Westin would be a 5 Star experience and maybe that's why I ranked it a soft 3 Stars. Or maybe because the staff was phenomenal as always and the bartenders delightful. The room however is another story. The toilet water tank must have had a slow leak, so it was refilling every so often, so not a great night sleep. The shower handle almost came off the wall in the morning, I was concerned that I would not be able to take a shower. It worked after a couple of minutes of messing with it. The hotel was booked so I did not bother with asking for another room. I was in room 404 the night of 7/15/19, please send someone to make the necessary repairs. I was in a real hurry at checkout while on a short break from a meeting.
I wish I could rate this place a 0- ZERO. Due to flight complication, American Airlines arranged for vouchers for a night s stay here at the Westin in Irving, Texas outside of the DFW airport. Having been Priorty One/ First Class customers, we appreciated American Airlines upgrading our accommodations to a higher quality hotel. Unfortunately, Westin did not live up to it s end. It started with the courtesy shuttle from the airport to the Westin. The driver of the Courtest bus was less than courteous, in fact, he shouted at me and because quite rude and sarcastic, when I politely asked him if he could take our already full bus load of guests to the Westin rather than circle back to the Airport for a second pass when we only had one available seat left. He ignored us, told his dispatcher he could pick up more people, and then continued to pick up 6 more people. This driver had no concern for the safety of the 4 standing passengers with two of them even standing against the door of the bus because there was no room, nor did he care about their safety as he drove with excess passengers at highway speeds ultimately to the hotel. The rooms at this hotel are a far cry from the quality of the rooms you would normally associate with a Westin. Our room 221 had Dirty Bathroom and stained sheets. And the room just has a worn out feel to it. Again stay here at your own peril!!! If you re willing to risk your life with Westin s rude and reckless shuttle drivers and you are willing to sacrifice the Westin quality experience for airport convenience, then this is the place for you. This place is horrible!!!
Absolutely love this hotel the atmosphere is gorgeous the rooms are comfortable. The pool is on the roof and so is the fitness center. I have never stayed in a hotel like this it is amazing.
Hotel and staff were great. Roof top pool and gym were cool. I was also staying on the 15th floor. You will get planes flying 100ft over this floor which is best to watch from the pool. I did not have any problems sleeping from the noise. Breakfast was terrible. Coffee cups were dirty.
Hotel is very close to the big shopping complex and the airport. It's good to do the shopping and travel. Lot of good Indian restaurant surrounded by this hotel is an extra bonus
Rooms windows and walls were disgusting. I had a charge from the bar put on my room even though I had given them my card. They locked me out of my room after my meeting and took 30 mins to figure out what happened. I told them I wanted to remove the tip because of the service failure. Amy at the front desk refused then stared me down and had me pay the charge in full. No apologies for having me locked out of my room. Just a mean stare.
Visited for a very different job interview. The little bit of the hotel I did see was top notch. This might sound a little silly, but they had these neat chairs that were designed specifically for meetings that has a little shelf underneath for your binder, handouts, or papers, leaving the floorspace for your laptop or whatever else you may have.
The location seemed to not be in the middle of much action, yet very close to airport. The employees were friendly. Clean, well maintained facility. We enjoyed the rooftop pool and exercise area.
I chose the workout guest suite because I like to stay active when I travel. When I got to the room I was very excited because there was a stair climber machine, a stability ball, yoga mat, and variety of free weights. Well, the stair climber machine is broken, the screen doesn't work at all so you can't even turn it on or change any settings. Aside from that the coffee maker doesn't brew unless you stand there for 7 minutes holding the button down. Also, there was a tag you could hang on your door if you want to be environmentally friendly and not have your towels or linens washes in exchange for a $5 voucher to onsite dining. I hung the tag on my door and sure enough they didn't wash my towels or linens, but I never got my voucher nor did they even MAKE the bed (this was not noted on the tag). I ordered the room service my first night and it showed up in a reasonable time but the food was nothing to call home about (chicken was tough and dry, fries were soggy). Overall not impressed.
We got upgraded to a king suite for the same price as a regular room! Gym was awesome. It came with refrigerated towels to help with a nice cool down. Service was supper and hotel was very accommodating. What a great staff from housekeeping to the front desk!
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff! The rooms are spacious but there is no fan in the bathroom so when you shower the condensation goes on the floor. There s also a puddle of water that will collect on the ground when showering since the curtains don t close properly. Literally a puddle of water, not joking. The blow drier didn t work either. But the rooms were clean and spacious. I loved the location being so close to the interstate without hearing the interstate noise.
I took our debate team. I booked about a month in advance. When we arrived, our rooms weren't ready even though I paid more for early check-in. After waiting, the team was given rooms all over the hotel although I requested that they be together. One of our rooms was changed from two queens to one king... for four kids! The only (and a big) positive was the housekeeping staff. My room was impeccable and they were so accommodating when asked for anything at all. The biggest mess was after we checked out and my personal credit card was charged IN ADDITION to the payment sent by our school. I had to go back and forth with the finance department for over a week! Let's just say our team will find different accommodations next year.
The down side was the 45 minute wait for the shuttle from the airport. There is a temporary lobby while they finish an update to the normal lobby. Other than that it was nice. The restaurant had good food and was open late.
I recently attended a wedding at the Westin and it was fantastic! The food and staff were great! The ballroom looked gorgeous! Everything went off without a hitch!
Was expecting a little more than what they had to offer. The rooms were small and not as elegant looking as you would expect from this hotel. I was on the top floor and could hear people talking outside my door, which was annoying at night. Specially when staff were going around and talking loudly to each other from one end of the hall to the other.
This is a classy operation. Very efficient, courteous and well priced. An excellent alternative to parking at DFW. Shuttles are frequent, clean and driven by well mannered driver. Everything about this operation deserves praise and highest recommendation!
Attended a wedding reception there and it was a beautiful event. The management and staff was super friendly from the minute we walked in the front door untill we left several hours laters.
The hotel was easy to find, but parking at night got a bit cramped. Check-in was quick and painless, the clerk was very friendly and made great conversation. My room was very nice, clean, and had a great view of the airport so we could watch the airplanes take off. I really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely stay there again.
I was there for a wedding reception. The hall was spacious and the hotel in general was a good venue for these types of events. Good location near the airport
I usually do enjoy this hotel seeing how it's so close to the airport and that our conference is in the same building. The exception is my last visit in December 2017 our AC unit was not working sufficiently and correctly which caused us to be very chilly in the room. When we told management about it it was supposed to have been fixed but that same night it was not. The morning of checkout we spoke with the manager who was extraordinary really accommodating and kind to us and gave us a credit for one night that we did not have to pay.
Got the room at a great price, the staff at the desk was the best, couldn't ask for a better room. The only thing watch out for the over zealous maids that start banging on room doors, at 9:00 am and clean your room out at 11:30 placing things in the trash when check out is noon, with a do not disturb sign left on the door. There is such a thing as to take care of the guests you have, before rushing to the ones not there.
