Our family recently had our daughter's wedding and the Waterfront did a great job. We wanted to give a special thanks to Vanessa Delp for all the help she gave us over several months leading up to the wedding.

Horrible customer service. Just spoke with Stacey who transferred me to find out about a reservation. No one answered the phone so I called back. Stacey then put me on hold, came back and then hung up on me. I asked a very simple question that clearly the reservation desk couldn't answer.

Attended a 3-day conference but did not stay on-site. Facilities were clean and well stocked. Continental breakfast and buffet lunch were tasty and efficient for 200+ attendees. Staff was helpful and friendly. Valet first thing in the morning was slow and couldn't keep the order of cars straight. Afternoon/evening valet was fine. It's under construction, so the noise level was high during the day. Showing its age here and there, but overall very good. No self parking, which is a big drawback for day guests

It's absolutely beautiful and it's walking distance to some great little shopping areas and the beach. Also some really nice restaurants, besides the ones at the hotel. I love sitting out on my terrace having my coffee. I can't wait to checkout the brand new gym!!!!!

My husband's company had their annual Christmas party here and we were impressed with the staff, rooms and amenities. The bed was nice and comfy too. The hotel was beautiful and right on the beach.

Trash!! Carpet is stained multiple spots and bedding had spots! Asked why room wasn t cleaned or fresh towels delivered. Apparently this is a special request. Seriously if I need to beg for a simple towel then we have issues. Had multiple drinks at the pool side, whoa!!!! hold on America, one simple Jack and Coke will pay for a bottle of Jack Daniels no kidding. All the staff that answer the phones have attitudes but don t be swayed, they seem to try the best to pronounce your name. Ugh, so done with a 4 day birthday outing. Thanks for killing my 40th Hilton. I can pay half the price down the street and get twice the service. I will never return. Hyatt is next door, and Shorebreak is down the street. Take a peek, this is not the place for us.

5 stars except for the actual sleeping arrangements... We got a room meant to sleep 5. Seems that consists of 2 full beds and pull out sofa with a matress that has maybe 20 springs in it we had to call for a roller cot (they dod comp it) and my 6 year old preferred to just sleep on the sofa not the pokey hide a bed. The service however was good, the valet system is top notch. The restaurant had great food. Fitness center is decked out with top of the line machines.

So we checked into our room and the second we walked on to the rug fleas were jumping on us there was a flea infestation probably on the 10th floor cuz we stayed in room 1011. After that they changed to a different room and we were satisfied with that.

The hotel itself and the place where it is are wonderful. Huntington Beach is across the Pacific Coast Hwy. What is very wrong is the lack of social distancing that is imposed at the hotel. The people in the pool do not observe distancing and no employee says anything. Valet Parking is horrendous as no employee wears gloves to touch the cars and they don't clean the steering wheels or anything. In these times they do not observe any cleaning rules. It is a pity that such a fine hotel has such poor cleanliness!

Large property with good service. Would give 4 stars but remodels limited options and was noisy. Couple blocks from lots of shops and restaurants. Happy to return after remodel is complete.

Disappointed in the loud jackhammering and construction outside my balcony. This construction is part of a renovation the hotel is doing and within their control. An ocean view is worthless if I can t hear over the incessant noise in the afternoon or when trying to sleep in. I should have been advised of this at room selection time. I advised the hotel staff of the issue and they didn t acknowledge the problem or seek to remedy it.

In addition, the lack of a late check out despite my elite status shows how the Marriott/Starwood brand provides a valuable distinction.

In sum, I m not sure I d choose this property again.

We stayed in a partially obstructed view room in Huntington Tower and had a fridge, coffeemaker and deck, we loved it. Spacious room. Quick walk to the beach. Nice staff. Excellent main pool, hope the slides are open next time. Water temp in pool was perfect. They have umbrellas for the pool area. Restaurant had ocean view. Valet is pricey but they were quick to get our car, it is worth it to stay here. It was our first time and we will most certainly be back.

***Stayed here again 2 times since review: Love this place. So close to beach, lovely property and slides are open!

We were lucky enough to have a little family reunion and have ocean front views for the stay. We also were able to bring our furry family along since this is a dog friendly resort! Great trip, would definitely stay here again.

Great views of the beach from the ocean view rooms.

Loved the buffet and enjoying the patio eating outside.

Pool area is beautiful for sitting out with views of the beach. Beach is just across the street from the resort.

Rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. Helpful staff.

I stayed here the last week of July 2015. If your thinking about staying here. I would highly recommend it! Clean rooms, close to the pier, but not too close (walking distance), friendly staff, valet parking, we had an ocean view room +, and the beach is across the street no need to drive.

Hotel rooms were clean and nice. My only complaint is the spa-During our facial treatments, the construction on the new pool sounded as if a helicopter was in the room. We also had one of the worst manicures we've ever had. Its a shame this was our experience with how much we paid.

Quality showing for a Hilton branded hotel. Bed was very comfortable as were the linens. Bathroom was fine but could probably benefit from an upgrade in a few years. The tub filled up slightly when showering as well. Common areas were recently renovated and were very welcoming. There were not many options (especially healthier options) for the in-room dining menu. Shades restaurant offered a very decent breakfast. The view from the room was very nice.

When reviewing comments I always hope the user is being as truthful as possible, so in that respect I will be honest in my experience. As I looked at the rooms and prices, I saw the cheapest was $289, then $320, then $349 and decided to go with the $349 room, being I was staying with my wife for one night. Upon arrival, the valet was courteous $28 dollar valet mandatory, okay not the end of the world. Went to check in, somehow, my reservation was cancelled. wow, great, although my info was in their system, they said it was cancelled. They went ahead and booked me another room and claimed to be an upgrade facing the beach. After waiting 30+ minutes, the room was ready and went upstairs. Upon opening the door, I was instantly disappointed. For a $350-$400 range room this looked more like a $99 dollar a room suite. Our room was not facing the beach, rather the parking lot although if you look all the way to the right you can get a glimpse of the beach, but definitely wasn't facing it. I wasn't impressed, and I wanted to be. Hardwood floor, bed was comfy, TV was eh, nothing crazy standard 27" flat screen. Room Service, stops serving at 1 am. So if you plan on going out like a normal young adult and plan to unwind with some room service..your out of luck. moral of the story, the staff was nice and accommodating, very professional, but I was definitely disappointed with the room. The next day we got a chance to check out the 1 small hot tub, was okay, and took a look at the pool which looked alright. At $99 a night I'd say, sure I'd go there again..but for the price i paid, I would definitely not stay there again.

We stayed in the dolphin tower on the seventh floor with our 4 children for 2 nights. The air conditioner made an annoying sound, similar to a helicopter, every time it turned on. Twice, after housekeeping had been in the room, I found 2 long, thick, black hairs on the bathroom floor. Should have been noticed and picked up during cleaning as the tile is white and shows any dark hairs very easily. The pullout bed in the sofa is very uncomfortable and my daughter hated the bed. For the price of the rooms, the beds should be comfortable even if it is a pullout bed. The beach entry to the pool needs to be scrubbed every day, but wasn't. It was slimy and dirty. Considering that this is a popular area for toddlers to play in the pool, it needs to be kept clean. The valet was absolutely horrible. There were scheduled events on one night and the parking and valet are not capable of handling the increase in guests. We had to wait for quite a while in a line just to get up the driveway so we could get out. The next morning when we checked out, it was even worse. We waited for 1 hour to get our car so that we could leave. I had to wait with 4 small children that had not eaten breakfast, to get our car. We even called down to valet about 10 minutes before we left our room to cut down on wait time. After waiting for 45 minutes, we realized that our key was not properly tagged and they could not find the key to our car. The hotel is beautiful as well as the location, but there were some disappointments and the valet service was completely unacceptable. We will not return.

This place absolutely was a dissapointment not only did the room keys not work so had to wait for two guys to open all rooms for everyone , AC was also out at this time .. so needless to say would be very hard for me to ever stay there again . The rooms were very nice however and the pool was very clean and inviting other than that I'd think twice or ask if everything is in working order .

We're going in 2 weeks for our 4th stay. Clean, beautiful, updated rooms. We book a higher floor suite that has wrap around balcony. The bed faces a slider so you see ocean from bed. Top notch service and very clean. Staff and management very accommodating. We haven't stayed in another area hotel since we found WBR. In my opinion, worth the money. It is my family's happy place. Can't wait to go in 2 weeks!!!!

We stayed in this hotel for 4th July week and it was great. The location is unbeatable. A great pool with and the beach in front of the hotel is gold sand and phenomenal water. Everything was within minutes we did not have to drive. You can rent one of those multi people bikes :) and ride around with your family .

The room was clean and very good size. I don't remember to have been catered by a friendlier staff. Rachel (Concierge) and Ramil ( Guest Service ) deserve a prize for their customer service.

Will come back for sure!

We stayed in the newer Twin Dolphins Tower during this visit. I was not aware that could check in 24 hours in advance in order to choose your own room so the only room available upon my arrival was the first floor. I booked this trip well in advance so the price was decent but still not worth what I received. The oceanfront room was mediocre at best. The street traffic and parking lot was an eyesore directly out front and you could only see the ocean while standing. The hotel wall was too high for you to sit and enjoy anything. The patio was extremely large and yet they only provide you with two chairs and a small table while non oceanfront rooms receive chairs, a couch and a large table with patio umbrella. There was also broken glass on the floor in my room which luckily I was able to easily clean up... but I shouldn t have had to. The real downside was what I assumed was the allotted smoking section happened to be directly in front of our room. Hotel guests constantly left the pool area to come stand and smoke right in front of us. Disgusting. The pool itself was so overcrowded with people taking up loungers and never using them. There is a sand pit by the pool which ensures plenty of sand all at the bottom of the pool which I thought was weird. They provide a walk in section that was either too slippery or so full of sand it hurt to sit down. There were also babies and toddlers trying to play in that area and bigger kids were running around and splashing and coming dangerously close to hurting them all while the lifeguard just sat there. We purchased lunch at the pool once.. it was delicious and plenty of it which was nice. Tthe drinks were overpriced considering they were watered down with little alcohol. The time I went up to the bar instead of waiting on a server the bartender was bickering with another staff member. The valet was extremely easy. Our car was always outside and ready immediately after calling down for it. The hotel maid staff were friendly. The front desk however were not. Not one single one of them would acknowledge or smile at you upon arrival or departure. Also.. there was probably four or five weddings in the four days I was there and for one of them two staff members were carting flowers down a hallway and either a manager or someone was berating them very loudly for being unprofessional and not using a different route to which I thought she was wayyyy more unprofessional for screaming at them in front of guests. This was my second time staying here and while this time was much better than the last I don t have high hopes for them if I choose to stay here again... it s a shame because the hotel is actually very pretty and in such a great area.
