Had a great time on the Photography for beginners workshop. Carol, our tutor, was lovely and very knowledgable - the workshop was exactly what I was looking for and I would definitely reccommend this to anyone starting out in photography or those that just want to be able to use the manual function on their cameras!

I did an 8 week beginners singing course with city academy and it was brilliant! The teaching was amazing and I had so much fun every week. I met some lovely people and I am looking to do the pop and rock improvers course next. Very professional. Would definitely recommend whether you want to take singing on seriously or just want to take it up as a hobby.

This course was a great way of spending your Friday evenings. The tutor was amazing and really made it easy to express yourself.

Brilliant class (in terms of content and teacher)! Georgia puts a lot of effort into her class, is always very well prepared and has a great dancing style. It would be great to have a regular weekly (open) intermediate class with her instead of a course running for 6 to 8 weeks.

A tremendously knowledgeable and compassionate tutor. Very useful content of a lesson which Isla delivered in a clear and understandable manner.

I recently took part in the Sitcom Writing for Beginners class. I loved every minute of the classes and I learnt so much more than I was expecting to. I was out of my comfort zone esp in the first session but Simon is a fantastic tutor and helped us all in a way we'll always be grateful for!! I totally recommend this class to anyone interested in sitcom writing whether you're a funny person or not !

Ballroom Improvers are taught by expert teachers (e.g. Ksenia Zheludkova, Derek Roofayel, Tom Wohlfart; all highest-level competition dancers/international champions and my teachers to date) that are methodical in their teaching and using pedagogical ways of explaining & showing.

They are all very enthusiastic instructors and combine structured teaching with attention to ways in which each individual can improve further.

I was looking for the best and affordable dance studio for my daughter. I am happy that I got to know about this dance studio. The atmosphere is very friendly and my daughter simply loves this place!

I did the summer screen acting course and I loved it! We learned a lot of very useful tools, knowledge and the teachers are amazing. we practiced a lot which was very useful to realise what not to do when in front of the camera. I highly recommend it!

The Stage Combat course was very informative, considering so much was packed into one day. The course tutor, Ronin Traynor, was highly skilled, put everyone at ease and delivered the teaching clearly, safely and effectively. I would definitely recommend to everyone. I'm already looking at further developing my skills at a higher level.

Richard Burrell is a brilliant teacher (as well as being a lovely bloke). He's patient, talented and incredibly insightful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him as a tutor to anyone from beginner to advanced level.

Pan was such a great tutor, he was very considerate and patient, funny and enthusiastic. I can't wait to take another course from him again.

I did a Singing course at City Academy with Jonathan the class was great fun, I met loads of nice people and it taught me how to sing properly. I m looking at the next level courses now.

I have attended 2 Diva Dance courses and my instructor, Ann-Marie gives clear instructions and most importantly makes learning fun. She makes me laugh at every class.

I have attended the Street Dance Summer School this July and it was one of the best courses I have been to. Great course content, fabulous tutors, amazing venue and an awesome bunch of students. It was challenging and hard work, but above all a lot of fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Loved every second! Please do more of those courses City Academy.

I recently attended the 1 day Intro to Alexander Technique course. Tutor Cristina was friendly, very knowledgable and explained the concepts very well; I left the session with lots to think about and with tips to apply to my daily routine.

Great fun. Tutors were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, which made the experience more enjoyable and help everyone feel relaxed.

Excellent online experience of the Digital Photography For Beginners - part One and Two

Just enjoyed this class so much as a novice opened me up, I was nervous as hell before starting. It s for anyone if you want to speak some English and have fun with each other and enjoy what acting can be. Try it

I just finished the Script writing level 1 and I was only looking to open up my mind to new ideas and put some structure into my thoughts. Frazer, the tutor is simply awesome. Very down to earth, great sense of humour and he pulls out the best in you. His class is an eye opener into starting some great writing. You find yourself coming out with ideas and the level of fear of actually doing something about it greatly reduced!

Really enjoyed the voice over-skills course. Ryan was such a great teacher and the content and structure of the course was excellent.

It s unbelievable how much progress everyone has made throughout the flexibility class with Maksym Shpachynskyi. He has a set of routines that is scientific and effective, from the warm-up to various stretching exercise and finally the training for split. This really helped me reach the full potential of my flexibility, also lowered the risk of getting injured, which could easily happen if we stretched ourselves at home. And his class never lacks of fun and energy!

Super advice about the song and why you personally should or should not use it!

The salsa clases of City Academy are really well structured and delivered on a friendly atmosphere. Now that they are online still manage to keep me really excited and continue improving my technique

I used to be in one of the choirs and have attended a wide variety of other performing arts courses which were on offer. The quality hugely varies between different tutors and many of them don't really stick to the course description as per the website.

It was one of the most enjoyable things i've ever done. Tons of practical activities were exactly what i was hoping for. The tutor was amazing - very kind and thoughtful towards everyone.

Me and a friend did the Begginners Salsa course with Pia Rauhalinna at Old Finsbury Hall. Great venue and amazing teacher. She explains and shows the dance steps in a very artistic, funny and positive way, using metaphors and stories. Very satisfied and already signed up for Improver 1 course in January.
Highly recommended!

I learnt a lot in absolute beginners' dance thanks to our great teacher Clinton. The course was pitched at exactly the right level where we kept learning but noone was left behind - loved it.

I attended the beginners' singing course at the Umbrella Rooms and would highly recommend.
Elliot is such a great teacher. When I first saw him I thought: wow he s young, then immediately thought - young and talented and a great teacher! He s so positive and clear and I really felt my singing improved.

I don't like gyms so going to City academy for a really fun All bar yoga class was a nice change, classes are well priced and suitable for all levels, there wasn't a strict requirement for kit and I felt like like I was having fun as well as getting fit. #12DayChallenge

I took the beginners acting course. Phoebe was very engaging and made the classes fun. It was a really good way to get out of my comfort zone and practice performing in front of people and improvise. I like that the first few classes seemed focused on getting comfortable with each other and towards the end of the course getting more into scenes and receiving feedback on those. Would definitely recommend to others!

I have done both Streetdancing classes and Acting classes and they are excellent! The tutors are experienced, professional, friendly and give constructive feedback while maintaining an enjoyable vibe.

Tutor was amazing, creative, always encouraging beginners to go into the best level and beyond. Contemporary dance is never easy but Panagiotis found the way to take us into the most beautiful movements for our first choreography.

These courses really emphasize leading and following skills and how to dance practically. The courses are structured, so everyone builds a genuine repertoire of steps that everyone can do - and every week you build on this repertoire, with lots and lots of practice. This is better than the hotch potch way that salsa is sometimes taught at other schools, where stuff is taught one week and then forgotten the next. City Academy is really great.

I attended the Presentation Skills workshop recently and thought it was brilliant. The morning covered everything from controlling nerves via breathing exercises to how to best lay out information to get it across to an audience. After some practise video presentations, we focused on particular skills and recieved tailored instruction on how to improve our own performances. The instructor was clear and helpful, with obvious enthusiasm for what she was teaching. Great experience.

The class was perfect. The tutor genuinely cares about the class and about guitar in general. Class sizes are just right and I can t believe how much I ve learned in 6 weeks.

Pimlico location is great for after work classes. Tap class' were fun and I always left with a smile on my face.

The course was very interesting and helped me a lot to improve my accent. Tim is an amazing tutor that knows how to speak to international students. His experience and knowledge are absolutely impressive. He managed to explain the most complicated aspects of British accent in a simple and comprehensive way. Tim is a great teacher!

Rory's "Tap Dance - Improvers 2 class" was amazing at keeping us going the whole dance class, so you really got bang for your buck! As well as he was so enthusiastic and supportive. This was one of the best tap classes I have taken in a long time where I really enjoyed the class and was pushed, thereby drastically improving my skills.

I had recently a "Britney Spears workshop" with Rachel. Rachel was amazing! I really enjoyed the class with her.
I am very happy with City Academy, as I booked another class and as I was not able to attend, they were wiling to reschedule my class.
I have attended City Academy in the past for a tap dance course. The teachers are very professional and they make you actually have fun during the classes. Definitely recommend City Academy!

I did the salsa classes, both beginners and intermediate, with City Academy and absolutely LOVED them! The teaching was excellent and I really felt like I was learning the foundations of the dance so that I could progress, plus it was just a lot of fun - and dancing at Sadlers Wells felt pretty special. I've done a few courses now with City Academy and am always impressed with the levels of professionalism of the staff and teachers - highly recommend it for people wanting to explore their creativity.

Classes were insightful, inspirational and fun. After just seven weeks, my body is more toned and flexible, and I have learned the basic techniques of ballet. Highly recommend it to anyone!

Panagiotis, our teacher, made the class fun and made sure we got the moves right, I learned a lot about dancing and I am now inspired to keep doing more courses.
Great course.

Really enjoyed the acting taster. Great introduction if you're thinking of doing the full acting course. Great teacher and the atmosphere was very friendly and engaging. My only advice to the teachers is to ensure that participants do not take things too far. There was a guy who bacame overly aggressive (verbal) and condescending to his improv partner that the intensity was rather unnecessary for the exercise. To me and probably to others, it seemed a deliberate act. Point is, we are all doing these classes to have fun and improve ourselves, not to exert a false sense of superiority complex.

Tim was a great tutor. I was very hesitant joining the class, and very nervous. But these classes these past 7 weeks where the highlight in the midst of a busy work life. I sadly missed a few classes and it made me realise how much I truly enjoyed going to these classes, and sad every time I missed a Tuesday because of work. Tim is a very engaging tutor, and really seemed to involve himself in each and every one of our progress. He was also very easy to listen to, pay attention to, and enjoy working with. The class would fly by extremely fast and I am truly bummed that we have reached the end of it. He definitely made me passionate for the field of acting and I hope to get involved further from now on :)

Nicky was a great instructor. She really took the time to make sure we understood the fundamentals of Barre and the mistakes she often sees. It set us up for success in a longer Barre class, and gave us a good understanding of what to expect.

I'd definitely recommend the sitcom writing class and Simon (the teacher) is brilliant!

The 5 dayer acting for the screen course is a fully immersive experience. You'll learn by acting out scenes from modern and classic films and will be at all times encouraged and guided in the safe environment provided by the tutors; perhaps most importantly you'll leave the course with a momentous energy and ready for what may come next. I highly recommend ballet classes. I tried different teachers, I found them really nice and very good. They spend time to teach you properly and to repeat combinations. Very well structured classes.

I studied screen acting. The teacher Beru was very professional and approachable and made me feel comfortable to practice and be vulnerable in a safe space

I did a beginner tap dance course and I am pleased with how much we've covered. From lesson one it was the right combination of challenge and fun. Very pleased with the teacher and overall experience and I plan to continue.

Beginners ballet. Great teacher and an intimate, small group. I felt there was individual attention and a real sense of progress through the 8 week course. Hooked."

I've taken the Improv class, both level 1 and 2 and I really enjoyed them. The venue is very accesible, and Jake is a brilliant teacher.

Natasha, was a great teacher, direct, patient, kind, flexible, fun, a thought provoking comedy class full of energy ideas, we was able to work on our characters, scenes, to make scenes come together, fun filled day, with plenty of laughs too. I'll be back to study with Natasha and to do more interesting classes at city academy in the future...

I've just completed a six week intermediate acting course with City Academy and thoroughly enjoyed it. I haven't acted since I left University a few years back and I was desperate to get back to learning the craft. This was an informative and thought provoking course that combined discussion, theory and plenty of practical that has inspired me to seek out more advanced courses at City Academy.

I joined a beginner art class to draw at City Academy. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Every week it was something new and exciting to learn. I always looked forward to my Friday evenings. The teacher made the class fun and interesting whilst learning new ways to sketch. It has made me take up art again and become one of my favourite hobbies. Thank you City Academy.

Before I attended City Academy I never had the courage to take that first step into the acting world even though I really wanted to. However, when I saw that City Academy provides screen acting classes to absolute beginners, I finally gathered all my courage and booked my first class: Screen Acting - Introduction level and LET ME TELL YOU, it has been the best decision I ve ever made because the tutor (Miranda) was sooo supportive which made me more comfortable during classes and she was soo informative about acting techniques. I thoroughly enjoyed every single class with her. So, I booked another class: Screen Acting - Level 1 which I ve just finished and again my tutor (Darren) was so supportive and so encouraging throughout the classes and I have learned a lot of valuable information about acting, and reading into scripts, learning your lines as well as the industry itself from him. City Academy has really chosen the best people to tutor people who are new or experienced in acting to advance their skills further. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect way to start to learn social salsa. The venue is easy to commute to and from and it s a no frills place, perfect for learning basics .

The Writing for Radio Course is fantastic, the tutor, Frazer is super awesome - very clear, thorough and incredibly knowledgeable. I learnt so much in 4 weeks! Highly recommend to any budding writers.

Amazing teacher, she knows how to teach well, she corrects when needes and really funny!
