I arrived there 25 minutes after 10 and I was there for 4 and a half hours. I had a woman named B helping my friends and I are she was very helpful and sweet. There are a ton of options for all sizes. I love my dress and would defiantly go back!

When I walked into the ultimate, i was quite overwhelmed at first. There was so many dresses I thought I wanted to try on but it just wasnt for me. But my my awesome sales associate jannah found the perfect dress and it was love at first sight! She was great and I didnt feel uncomfortable like I thought I would and they were all super helpful!

Came from Maine to buy a dress. Nice selection and got one we liked. Paid about 300. Got home , thought about it, and had second thoughts and decided we would like to return after 6 days. (It's March- prom is in May) Called to check on return policy. Guess what folks? NO RETURNS! Not even store credit. Not acceptable in this day and age. Buyer beware. Not recommended.

went here to find a dress and the lady who worked with me was extremely rude. she told me i was not the size i thought i was. i picked a dress and she said it would not look good on me and that i didn t want that and she also asked me if i really wanted to actually try on one of the dresses I picked. She left me during trying on so I tried on another dress and she yelled at me for it. Didn t find a dress and don t recommend going there, completely unorganized

As soon as I walked into this fabulous store I was greeted by two wonderful workers. One of whom advised and assisted me for about 30 minutes and gave me some wonderful advise for my daughters wedding. My husband was not feeling well and was waiting in the car so I did not want to take to much time. I will be purchasing items as needed for my daughters wedding and my grandchildren's prom dresses (in the future). Prices were reasonable and very friendly employees. thank - you so much

Bought a dress here and the customer service was great. The woman helping me wanted to make sure I found a dress that I loved and was comfortable in. She helped picking them out and styling them with shoes and jewelry to see how they looked couldnt have asked for more. Only dislike was very very difficult to find any dresses under $400. So if you are looking to not spend to much this is not the place for you.

Although they were very organized and they assigned us an employee to help with dress selection. She was very helpful trying to select a prom dress for my daughter. Given the size of the store I was disappointed that there was only one dress my daughter liked and it had a tear in the back of it. They did offer to take off $40 but I wasn't about to buy a $400 dress for $360 then spend another $300 in alterations and still have a torn dress.
Drove out from Worcester, all the girls were so awesome, helpful, & honest. There was no pushing or sales tactics. Sarah took great care of me! She was so patient & helped me with my dresses and jewelry. One of the dresses she choose & even tho I wasn't sure on it I took her word & it was perfect. She knows her stuff, they are all so knowledgeable. The prices are so reasonable that I bought 3 dresses for what I'd pay for 1 somewhere else. Also, if you don't like what they have there, you can also figure out a size there and get the dress you like sent in. I will definitely refer and will be back , they have dresses for all formal occasions and even beautiful cocktail dresses, shoes of all colors, and costume jewelry. Thank you Sarah!!!

We had the best experience shopping for my daughters prom dress. Debby was our consultant and she was just amazing, experienced, professional and just awesome. I really hope we get lucky enough to have her next year.
When I first got there, I couldn t find the entrance and me and my friend walked around outside for a solid five minutes before finding the door. Once i was I went up the stairs and over to a door which rings very loudly when you open it. A person over the loud speaker then proceeded to call for two assistants, one for me and my friend. They then told us to look for our sizes. And one lady told us to pick out 7 dresses to try on. My friend and I felt a little overwhelmed we never intended on trying anything on, just taking a quick look and leaving. But after all my dresses were picked out and my friends dresses were picked out we went to the fitting room and they very kindly assisted us with our dresses and zippering then. They were super accommodating and got us more dresses after the 7 we tried on ran out. It was super fun. I got the whole prom experience but better then I had hoped. I also loved there style policy, where if you go to a prom, they take down your dress style number and it is to not be sold to anyone in your school. While similar styles can be sold my specific dress can not be sold in my color or any other color to a girl in my school. They have a super great payment policy for any girl who s buying her own dress instead of the parents buying the dress. I loved the lady helping me Nancy was great! Though she did tell me how small I was quite a few times she was a lovely lady and couldn t have asked for a better person to help me!
There were a lot of options, some of the people were friendly, some weren't. It's a bit unorganized but it's whatever.
The staff was so helpful. Deb did a great job. We now have a beautiful dress with all accessories and nice pictures.

Horrible customer service. My sister bought a dress a couple of weeks ago which was ripped and had a hole in it. Before leaving the store they were able to fix the dress but once we got home we noticed that some of the beads were missing. At first, my sister had called with the intention of doing an exchange but because one of the fact the owner, Heather, mistreated her and was super rude, she decided she wanted to return her dress. Heather spoke over her on the phone and was very disrespectful. Heather told us that returning the dress was not an option but little did she know that she was taking away the right of a consumer to return a defective dress. After speaking to Heather several times during the week, she finally returned the dress; she even said: "see if you can come in today to return the dress because its a beautiful dress and i know it will sell quickly" LOL. Don't ever buy from this store.
I thought this place had a great selection of dresses, along with very helpful employees. Gina helped me in particular, and she was great in helping me stay within my budget while also finding a beautiful dress that I love- She's not only amazing at her job but is also a really genuine person.

My daughter and I visited The Ultimate Woman's Apparel last weekend to shop for a prom dress. Dina helped us and she was FANTASTIC!! I highly recommend her. **Summary: After an hour and a half into an appointment my bridesmaids had only tried on two dresses in one shared fitting room. The owner s response to hearing that is to come up with excuses as to why it s not really the business s fault . This is what I mean when I say the management needs improvement.
This business is painfully unorganized. I made an appointment for my two bridesmaids to try on dresses. The worker helping us had another wedding party at the same time. In order to find dresses we were given a magazine and told if we find one we liked to go searching through the racks ourselves to locate the matching product code. We could also select dresses from the rack but most dresses did not have pictures, making it impossible to tell what they would look like on. My bridesmaids then had to share one fitting room. After an hour and a half my bridesmaids had only tried on two dress so we decided to excuse ourselves. We were told to make an appointment if we come back despite the fact that we had an appointment. The worker helping us clearly did the best she could juggling two wedding parties but the management needs to get their act together. We would have received more assistance from a department store.
I just wanted to note a few things in response to the owner's lack of accountability. Immediately upon entering the store I told the front desk that I had an appointment. After checking in at the front desk we were instructed to wait for assistance. I assumed that when Suzanne approached us that she had been sent to assist us. We were there for an hour and a half and in that time, exactly one style we selected was pulled for the bridesmaids to try on. It is unfortunate some employees were sick but if they were not then the time slot would still be overbooked and there would still be too few dressing rooms for bridal parties. As I previously mentioned Suzanne did a wonderful job handling two bridal parties at the same time, but the management needs serious improvement.
Today I had great help from Dina omg she is soo nice and her patience is out of this world any one who needs great help please ask for Dina once you get into the store ,she is soooooo awesome ,she loves what she is doing !

Of the many places that I visited with my niece for her prom dresses, this was one of my least favorites. The lines were unnecessarily lengthy and the dresses weren't all that appealing. The saving grace of this store is that they have a ton of space and you don't feel cramped in unlike all of the other stores we visited. The store associates were also quite friendly, which made for a positive overall experience. However, when it came down to it, the options offered here were more on the flashy, gaudy, or overly-bedazzled end of the spectrum of prom dresses, and we opted for another store instead.
I was excited to go here for the first time but was utterly disappointed. Was looking to get a head start on dress shopping for prom. When you first walk in there's a stair way covered in cheetah print which I found tacky. What I found when I reached the top of the stairs was a waiting room filled with people and a table covered in old beverage cups (looked to have been there awhile.). Some mildly attractive guy put our name on a list (i was there with 2 friends) that told us someone would be over shortly to help us. We were greeted by another mildly attractive guy who told us how many dresses we could choose and about the WAIT. he told us we could go down to eat at the honey dew down stairs and come back up, that we still would be waiting. We didn't quite know our sizes so he brought us to a woman we looked at us and told us a number without even pulling out a measuring tape. We searched around for a few dresses but no one had told us were to put them since we would be waiting awhile. The boy who told us what to do was to busy flirting to tell us what to do!!! we walked around we noticed about 3 or 4 dressing rooms with no one in them!!!!! Hello!!!! People who we talked to had been waiting for hours!!!! We were so utterly disappointed, we left with out trying on one dress! If I am going to spend 500+ dollars on a dress, I will NOT being doing it here. Not to mention the whole hot guy showing you around is sexist and made me and my friends feel uncofortable. Although a beautiful looking store with a great selection of plus size dress for my size. I will NEVER be returning to the ultimate.
Our experience was the worst it could ever have been. My wife was treated as bad as you could be. No respect, incredibly mean, and no apologies. We were told we could have them hold the dress with a deposit and then come back and exchange it with another if we liked. When my wife tried to do this she was treated rudely and nothing like a store would want to treat their customers. She was told you can only come back into the store one time. If you don't find something else you must buy the dress you put on hold. When she said that we didn't understand this strange policy, she was treated like dirt. And it wasn't just my wife. A friend was also there and questioned the clerk and eventually talked to the owner who was just as rude.
It was so bad that we have walked away from our deposit.
If you want to be treated awfully, this is your store. If you want to be treated like a customer, go somewhere else.
Hi the help was amazing so so patient. But the dressing rooms are in terrible place right in the middle of the room and we were constantly being bumped and moved around by people passing back and forth in front and behind us and trying to look at dresses.right at our backs rooms need to be moved to the far end of the store. That part of our experience was rather annoying. .

My senior year of high school I ran the Prom Fashion and Talent Show at Masconomet in 2016 to raise money for Best Buddies and the Ultimate donated every dress along with matching jewelry to be worn in the show! It was so fun getting to pick out dresses and then they even offered me a job! It will be my third prom season working at the Ultimate and I love helping customers find their dream dress and the atmosphere during Prom season! I never even want to go back to school because I love working during my vacations!
This family run and owned store may be intimidating at first but the hardworking, knowledgable and dedicated staff will put your mind at ease. Every prom shopper is made to feel and look like a queen. If variety is the spice of life, this is one of the spiciest retail gown stores you will find anywhere.
Many people mention the wait but end up walking away with a smile on their face. To avoid the wait it is highly reccomended coming at the off peak hours.
The store also offers a full line of acessories to provide one stop shopping. It carries a full line of bridal party dresses, rental tuxes, Quince dresses and gowns for all formal occasions.
In addition, the store has seemstresses available for consultation on all your alterationion needs. It is not uncommon to find 3 generations of shoppers in the store from every corner of Massachusetts, the country and sometimes the world.
We were there this morning and loved it. They had an amazing selection. All colors and styles and great designers. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. We got there right when it opened which was goo since it was really busy with school vacation. Our sales associate was Erin and she was the best. Very helpful in understanding the style and type we were looking for. Great suggestions and brought back a few others besides what we had selected. It's a great store and great experience. Be prepared to wait and be patient , it's worth it

Father of five daughters here. The Ultimate is the best place to take your daughters for a great dress at a reasonable price for their Junior Social or Prom. The help my wife gets there is always polite and helpful. No pressure sales here. Always a great dress.
If you have a budget do Not go here. I saw so many dresses I loved but had a price tag of 700-900 dollars! If you can afford it it s amazing, but don t bother if you come from a working class family :/
We had very good service from Kay. Unfortunately, that is where our Ultimate experience stopped being the ultimate. My daughter, who was shopping for a semi-formal dress, fell in love with a very expensive dress. Kay raved that it had just come in and she was excited to see it on my daughter. She was quite the actress and other employees played along. After trying on quite a few dresses, we decided on the expensive Sherri Hill dress. Of course, all sales are final at this store. I blindly trusted Kay and this shop. One google search later and I realized that this just in dress is from spring of 2017 and is deeply discounted across the internet. We paid more than double by purchasing it at Ultimate and of course, we have no recourse. Do yourself a big favor and google the dress before you make your purchase or shop elsewhere. Search out a shop where the business practices and associates are more honest.
In response to the owners comments: I did call the shop. I was told that all sales are final. With further inspection of the dress we have noticed that the shoulder strap is detached from the sleeve. The string attaching it has snapped. We did not notice this when my daughter tried the dress on as customers are not allowed to zip a zipper or clasp a clasp. (I don t disagree with this policy.) I can assure you, this dress did not just come in. I actually can t find the dress for sale on any website for full retail, which is, sadly what we paid at The Ultimate. Finally, this dress is actually discontinued by Sherri Hill. While I don t pretend to understand this business. the owner s response adds insult to injury. I wish the owner had simply said sorry you had a bad experience most of our customers have had great experiences.

Dina was fantastic! She helped my daughter to find a perfect prom dress. She is a great stylist and encouraged to try things that we have not thought about and made my daughter feel like a princess all the time.
I went to The Ultimate today with my boyfriend to look at dresses, we went in and were immediately put on a list and allowed to go look at dresses. I picked a few out and then went up to the front to tell them that I was ready to try them on as that is what I did last time. I was very rudely told off by the owner Heather and she said that they would call me when they call me. I waited with my boyfriend for about an hour and a half and then my name was called. I was the first one on the list up at the counter as I had been waiting an extremely long amount of time. The other people who we re on the list got taken to rooms and I was ignored. My name was called again and I was about to be taken to a dressing room and then a mother and daughter bride got my space (I m still not sure how that worked).
I ended up leaving without trying on any dresses. I was annoyed with the long wait and because of how Heather was speaking to the other employees. There was very nice woman at the counter that was trying her best to be helpful and get things done and whenever she made a note or something she would try and tell Heather and then Heather would get visibility annoyed. I am very dissatisfied with the unprofessional service. I am not qualified to run a business but I think I would make sure my staff inform customers about the wait before they pick out dresses and then go to try them on and if I was the owner I would limit how long people could try on dresses during high trafficked hours such as the weekends. I also drove an hour to get to Ultimate and it was a waste of gas and time.
TLDR: The owner was super rude to the customers and her staff. I was ignored from the moment I said I was ready to try on dresses. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

Came in looking for a dress for my engagement party, Amanda was amazinggggg I mentioned I'm having a beach wedding and she asked to show me a wedding dress I may like and I loved it!!!! I ended up finding my engagement dress and wedding dress at one place!
Got all my stuff on time and it was everything I expected when I made my purchase. It was organized and the women there were so helpful. They made me feel like I was the only one in the store. Helped me from beginning to end. Found my dress and accessories in one place for good prices. Shoe selection could use more variety and style but other than that this place was one of the best dress shops I've been to in awhile. No pressure to buy anything ( which means no annoying upselling while ur fitting the dress). This alone makes the experience so first class. It let's you focus on finding the perfect dress. I was really impressed in here.

I wanted a dress that would stand out from the rest and that is exactly what I got from The Ultimate. My dress was absolutely beautiful and was exactly what I wanted for my senior prom. Everyone at the store was so helpful in helping me find my dream dress. The dress only needed minimal alterations and fit like a glove. I would highly recommend shopping at the Ultimate. They were very professional, friendly, and the dresses were reasonably priced.
