Been hear with my vintage watch (1960's) for a service. You need to wait cuz people are busy selling and I really mean it. We have a lot of stuff going on around us but the basic idea of Watchmaking support is missing. I was asked to wait for unknown time, to just know if they had qualified people to work on my watch!! I called in and asked if my watch Caliber & Movement could be serviced while giving my brand name. I was asked to come in to store so that they can look at my watch (makes sense, but not really if wait time is looooooooooong). But as mentioned above. people are busy selling things in here, so service your watch at other place where people actually care for your watch as a Time Measuring Insturument. I just went on to another qualified watch service professional to service my watch and it was less time taking (to actually know if one can repair my watch or not and take my watch)than this place and my watch has been taken care of. And yes it was a Swiss made watch. So move on if time really matters.

I ve been a customer of Providence Diamond for a few years and have had nothing but fantastic experiences. They always have a wide range of gift options available to fit most needs. However, this year I was looking for something a little different. I wanted to have a custom ring made for my wife to match a family ring recently handed down to my daughter from her great grandmother. (I thought it would be nice for them to have similar/matching rings.) I worked with Alyse from start to finish and she made this project seem effortless (at one of their busiest times of year too). Regular communication and it was done on schedule. I couldn t be happier with the finished product!! Enough good can t be said about Providence Diamond and I will be a customer of theirs for life!! I highly recommend this establishment to all!

I was served by Jennifer at Providence Diamonds who knew a lot about Rolexes and their availabilities and their models having been in the business a long time. She answered all my questions about the pieces I wanted and others as well. I had come in with my family on vacation and the service by Jennifer was very personal and genuine which customers appreciate. I did get a piece which I wanted thanks to Jennifer but primarily she made me feel like an important customer. Great jewellery store as well with great brands. Wonderful family vibe and I highly recommend the service. Jennifer and the store truly care about anyone who walks through their doors.

Recently purchased men's Tudor watch from Joe N. at Providence Diamond. If you are not familiar with the Tudor line, do some research. Exceptional quality and value. Walked in wearing jeans and boat shoes. Very friendly and comfortable buying experience. Joe N. was excellent. Extremely knowledgeable. Was deciding between two models and wanted to do a little more reasearch and sleep on decision. Absolutely zero pressure. Called Joe next day and placed special order as item I wanted was not in stock. Joe got me exactly what I wanted vs just selling me something that was in stock. His follow up was excellent (even checking in on order status on his day off before a major holiday). It's that attention to detail and customer experience that prompted me to provide detail review. A medical issue resulted in fingers so swollen that my engagement and wedding rings had to be cut to be removed. I was heartbroken and wondered if I would find a reputable local jeweler to repair/solder the cut rings. Did I ever! Providence Diamond did a fantastic job! My rings looked brand new and you couldn't even tell that any work had been done to them, plus they were completed and ready way earlier than quoted. Marc was very friendly and helpful in the process. Well done Providence Diamond and thank you!

Honestly if there are any negative reviews in this bunch, I don't know how much value you should put to it.

I walked in today and had no real intention of pulling the trigger but Brandon was awesome, not hard selling and was just teaching me about a time piece brand I'd been ready to take the plunge on for some time.

I rarely write reviews so this is saying something. They've just added a new life long customer and if you're in the market for a Rolex in RI, look no further!

Nice selection and reasonable prices but they miss deadlines without a second thought and size you up based upon your appearance when you walk through the door. The staff ranges from dismissive to rude...won't be shopping there anymore.

I just had my wedding ring enlarged 1.5 sizes. I was extremely nervous because it s platinum with a continuous gold inlay design, but the result was flawless. More than satisfied.

This place is sketchy and untrustworthy. I had brought a family heirloom bracelet in for an appraisal, before COVID. The woman who helped me examined my bracelet and told me it was a pretty paper weight . She told me the stones weren t real and the gold wasn t worth much. Although, she d take it off my hands for $100. I felt super uneasy about it and have since then gotten second options. TURNS OUT my DIAMOND bracelet is worth about $5K, the gold alone $2K. This business should be shamed of themselves, especially during these times.

I'm a repeat customer now and I wouldn't think to go anywhere else! Was referred here but a friend two years ago and haven't dealt with any other jeweler since...Pretty simple, when the experience is the best, why go somewhere else! Thanks Dan and Joe!

Not enough great things to say about the people at Providence Diamond. With their help, I was able to craft the most stunning engagement ring for the love of my life. The finished product somehow came out better than the dream ring I had in mind. I was initially anticipating some level of stress in picking out a custom jewelry piece such as this. However, there wasn't one moment when I wasn't excited about the process. The wonderful people at Providence Diamond really made it a personal, enjoyable process every step of the way and they worked with me to accommodate my budget and my vision for this ring. 10/10 service.

If it hadn t been for Jennifer s follow up on the jewelry I had left for repairs, I would rate Providence Diamon with a very low rating. I found the employees to be disorganized, uncommunicative & disinterested. I had heard from other people that Providence Diamond was the best in Rhode Island. I did not find this the be true. I will probably never go there again. Jennifer was the only saving grace in the whole ordeal.

It was my first time, and it was most definitely my last as well. You see, I called and was encouraged to come in as I wanted to sell some of my jewelry. Apparently, however, my Rolex is undesirable (older model), and the ring, earrings and David Yurman bracelet were only worth scrap . And most importantly, Dan had not one shred of empathy, civility or politeness toward me as he shoved my jewelry onto the scale and said I ll give you a hundred bucks for all of em. I try to give rude people the benefit of the doubt. It was very obvious I was not welcomed there. It felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I drive a nice car, have a nice home and even an undesirable Rolex. But apparently that was not enough to earn his manners. Won t step foot inside again. Dan needs to have a humbling experience of some kind. Good luck.

I had a great experience getting my engagement ring cleaned at Providence Diamond. The staff was very nice, and he even called me the next day to say they were expediting my cleaning due to a mistake with charging my card and printing my receipt. When picking up the ring I literally gasped because I hardly recognized it! It was so bright and beautiful price is amazing for a cleaning, I'm definitely coming back a couple times a year to get it done.

Great place and they really work with you! Always a pleasure to go in and never felt rushed or pressured. The quality there is just as impeccable as their service.

This place is incredible! Every time I go in there they treat me equally as great. The store was a little busy when I got there, but a staff member was able to help me right away. I was warned that the jeweler was a little backed up and I might have to drop it off and come back later but he said that wouldn't be necessary and he would get it done for me. Excellent customer service!

I worked with Brandon to purchase my Rolex Submariner. I can't recommend Providence Diamond Co. any better. Brandon made my purchase an experience. I'm very picky and he was happy to meet all of my request and even exceeding my requests. I have purchased from them before and will continue to do so. I was going to buy my Rolex at Foxwoods but after the initial phone conversation with Brandon I went to see him and I would do it again.

An experience and timepiece to remember for a lifetime!

Settling back in R.I., my last few watches have been purchased at Providence Diamond and I can honestly say they re second to none. This is my go to location for any and all future purchases! I purchased a Tudor Black Bay GMT on 01/02/2021 and I absolutely love it. I was originally hoping to find a NEW Rolex but their stock was rather limited (as to be expected at this time of year). The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about their merchandise, especially Joe who assisted me. He was absolutely professional and extremely patient as I mulled over my many options with no pressure or bait and switch tactics. Puchasing from here was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. I will definitely be back when the new Rolex 2021 models are available. If you're in the market for a luxury Swiss time piece in the Southern New England area stop by and pay them a visit. You surely will not be disappointed.

I had a great watch buying experience here, walked in with my carhartt and camo hat and was greeted promptly and courteously with zero of that pretentious vibe other jewelers are known for. Brandon was down to earth, extremely helpful and not pushy at all. It was a pleasure dealing with him and i look forward to doing so again in the future.

I have called this place twice thus far during the holidays and today was my second attempt to get some help and understanding about services on a Rolex watch for my boyfriend for the holidays. The owner told me don t waste my time to come in this weekend to purchase a cleaning service gift for my
boyfriend till after the holidays, because they will be busy and I will be waiting. As a owner I don t know why you would turn down any kind of business, and as a owner I would never rush my customers off the phone, or tell them don t buy a holiday gift will be busy . He told me he works retail and that s why he talks fast, I have worked retail many years and never treated anyone like that. I don t know much about Rolex watches but I know enough about customer service to know this isn t how you talk your customers. It is the holidays everyone, and every business will be busy that is expected. I know many family, friends, and business partners that come to this store and I will no longer recommend it. Just to throw this in there the services could run anywhere between 500-1500$ It may not be a lot but Money is money, just because I m not buying a new Rolex watch, diamond ring, or bracelet, I should not be turned down!!!!!!!

To begin...I AM a big watch lover.....always have been since I was very young.....and am now 64! I was in the market to expand my watch collection and somebody told me of "Providence Diamond". I must say I was BEYOND impressed ALL the way around! Easy to get to....plenty of parking.....and a SPECTACULAR neat and VERY organized store FILLED with REALLY cool stuff.....and, of course, my favorite...ROLEX! AND....A HUGE....EXPANSIVE selection of most ALL the watches Rolex makes! VERY COOL!

I had looked on-line for "the deal".....and they ARE out there....BUT....the big problem with those "on-line guys" is.....you NEVER truly know "exactly what" you are getting (as they tend to do some truly sleazy things).....and the service after the sale is usually "beyond grim" as I have friends that have gone this route in the past and REALLY wished they hadn't! AND....do keep in mind....most ANY "higher end" watch manufacturer WILL NOT honor their warranty, and often NOT even take it in for repair, if the watch IS NOT purchased from an "authorized dealer".....and that can make a HUGE difference seeing one service from those better watch companies usually runs close to A GRAND these days!

Moving on...I DID buy the watch....it was "in stock" (wouldn't ya just know)....and it was calling to me! LOL One would always want "a better deal"......but quality and assurance DO come with a price. I did have serious buyers remorse the next day.....and who wouldn't after plunking down over 11K for a watch.....and thought about returning it for a less expensive model. Unlike most jewelers....they WERE willing to offer me a "full refund"....and they even offered to extend the return period if I wanted more time..."to think about it". It was because of that offer....that I took the time to "truly" think about it.....and decided to keep the watch... It IS "a beyond SUPERB" watch....and life IS too short!

All was great.....then disaster struck! Long story how it happened.....and I will spare you....but the watch was BADLY scratched! I WAS devastated BEYOND comprehension! These scratches WERE bad....and being an experienced watch guy....I knew it! I had visions of it having to go back to Rolex....which would have taken 2 months....and cost me a grand or more....having been down this road several times in the past! I took the watch to another local jeweler I deal with, with shame because I didn't buy it from them....but their price STUNK! I said the watch belonged to a friend of mine. They examined the damage....and said they wouldn't touch it....it had to go to Rolex....and would probably need an entirely new case at MAJOR expense! Can you imagine how upset I was!!!

I called "Providence Diamond"....why I didn't in the first place I'll never know! We all do stupid things! Anyway....I ask to speak with the jeweler working that day....a guy named "Jim". I explained my story....and he VERY kindly said to bring it right over. I felt there was "hope"? I drove right over....still in my pajamas....I was SO excited! When I got there I had to wait "maybe 10 minutes" for him to finish with another client. He looked at the watch....and said it looked worse than he thought from my description.... Then he said let me go to work on it....give me a little time. I waited pacing around.....probably driving the other employees crazy! LOL After about 45 minutes "Jim" appeared with my watch. I WAS SHOCKED AND BEYOND THRILLED! It looked "almost" better than new! After looking the watch over..."CAREFULLY"...he and I both noticed a couple of other "very minor" issues...which were fine with me.....but he insisted to take it back for "one more go at it". I went out to buy "a little gift" for his efforts....as HE REFUSED to charge me for ANY of the repairs and his time! Now how often do you find this.....saved my watch....and it was "FREE"! When I got back he had gone "beyond expectation".....and I can honestly say......you couldn't tell my watch from a BRAND NEW ONE!

Extremely knowledgeable , patient & courteous staff . If u r unhappy with repairs or sizing - they rectify without charge. Specifically with recent ring sizing - the mistake was mine not their s & they resized without charge..
Their motto seems to be customer is always right which is unheard of in today s retail stores of any kind.
The merchandise is very reasonably priced for the quality & beauty of their chosen designers , beautifully displayed & the store is immaculate. Definite 5 stars
