DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. Went in for bridesmaids dress shopping for my sisters wedding in November. The girl helping us was super helpful and pleasant. We all picked out our dresses and paid IN FULL, November 8th. I fully understand it is about 3 months after you order a dress for a wedding for it to come in. So, it being February I called to get an ETA so I could schedule alterations.
I was put on hold for 15 minutes, and was then told that the dresses wouldn't arrive till mid about mid April, the wedding is May 6th. When I asked why the delay they said that the bride was notified and it was not their job to notify me. I told the "gem" of a woman on the phone that would not be enough time to have this dress altered as I live an hour away from the shop. She said "it was plenty of time and if it was a problem I needed to find a different seamstress." Every time I tried to ask a question as to why the delay, I was told not her problem, she can't make the dress get here any faster. And if I was going to continue to talk then she would have to put me on hold because she had another customer in front of her and didn't have time to deal with my issues.
I contacted the bride and she said she was told there was a delay since they didn't put the order in right away (they ordered them in January, not November when we paid), but not to 2 weeks before the wedding.
The shop refuses to take any responsibility or provide any customer service to attempt to rectify the situation. Horrible, horrible service. If these dresses arrive in time it will be a miricle. One thing is for sure, I will NEVER shop here again.
UPDATE: So the dresses came in. However on inspection of the dress, they ordered it 3 sizes to big. My slip said 18, they ordered a 22. Again, horrible service. Never, ever again will I order a dress from here.
I came here before a few years ago to pick out a bridesmaids dress, and I had such a positive experience back then! I always said that I needed to come back here for my prom dress, and I am so glad that I did. I came back yesterday, and I just want to say everyone is just so nice, so accommodating, and so easy to get along with. Tilly (I hope I am spelling your name right) was absolutely amazing! Tilly was so helpful, so funny, and just such an amazing person to be around. I had such an amazing time finding my dress and talking to Tilly! She really could narrow down every single thing I was looking for in a dress, and found the most beautiful dresses for me to try on. I had such a positive experience! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Thank you so much for being so awesome, I highly recommend this place and have told all of my friends about it!
Plenty of dresses, but the place was unorganized and it took forever to get into a dressing room. Once in the dressing room I had a very rude style consultant!

When I went there for my prom dress experience, I liked it. But, being being curvy and short it was a lot harder to find a dress. There was a small collection that I could look at, which did make the experience a little overwhelming for me, but there women who helped me choose made me feel more comfortable with me choices. Lastly, The only thing that made me feel uncomfortable for the most part was that my family and I were being followed around the store while we were looking for shoes and accessories. Like, I don t know if it was because I came with three other people and a toddler or what. But, that made me feel really uncomfortable.

Went to the ultimate for a dress. The staff was great. Dina helped me pick out the perfect dress. She was so helpful and sweet, she made my experience that much more wonderful for my special night!
First, our sales associate was rude and even when I tried on a dress I was confident in, she criticized it and was very harsh. She even used ugly to describe a dress that I liked. She also talked behind my back with the other sales associates. Secondly, the owner was so rude to me when I told her I wanted to put a dress back for being unsure and I left the store in tears. She spoke so harshly to me and was very disrespectful and unprofessional. All she cared about was the sale, not how I felt.

Just the other day went into the ULTIMATE just to look around, (going to a formal wedding) when I was approached by a salesgirl Dina who asked to assist me. Not sure what I wanted or what would look good on me, she picked out 5 amazing dresses for me to try on. How she knew they would be great on my body type was beyond me! Anyway, I bought 2 of them! She was so wonderful and understanding to my needs! And thanks Dina for the advice on the accessories! My hubby loved everything!!! Daughter is getting married at the end of this year, I WILL BE BACK for a dress! I did let Dina know I will NEED her!!!! She knows her stuff! THANK YOU ULTIMATE!!!!

I am a pageant girl but I have a really big chest and finding dresses is hard for me. The ultimate has been amazing and I have ended up with some beautiful dresses that will look amazing on a pageant stage. They also pushed me to look at dresses I usually wouldn't and made me so comfortable They have also been so accommodating with the pandemic and allowed me to buy my dress without having to go there and have been great with my layaway and always answer all of my questions as soon possible
My experience here was abbsoultly amazing!!! Within moments of walking into the store i was greeted and someone was able to help me right away. I tried on so many gorgeous dresses and was able to find my dress for prom which I love. Some of the beading was falling off of the dress so they immediately were able to fix it. I would definitely recommend the Ultimate for anyone shopping for a special occasion dress.

The ultimate had a large variety of dresses but no organization. They couldn't help me find the dresses i seen online.The women helping us name Linda kept putting my little sisters self esteem down.She kept saying all of the dresses we picked weren't for her body type.She also kept saying side comments about her co-workers and also the shoppers.I found her to be very disrespectful and decided to take my little sister else were.

I've gone to The Ultimate for both my junior and senior proms; both times I was met with an incredibly diverse section (both in style and size of dresses) and well-equipped staff. This year I worked with a lovely associate named Doreen; her warm personality and breadth of experience helped me settle on a gorgeous hunter green mermaid dress. I would absolutely recommend The Ultimate when purchasing a gown for any formal occasion.

My only true concern with the store is that once it's nighttime, you walk out of it into complete darkness. No lights from neighboring stores are close enough to make a difference. This is a safety issue. There are young girls in and out and that scares me. I almost didn't post this because I didn't want anyone 'sick' to read it. Please light it up out there!!! (Hopefully there are lights that weren't on at the time, in that case I apologize)

Uncomfortable Experience! They had a nice selection of choices, however I felt very uncomfortable with the lady that was helping me. She wasn't friendly at all and treated me poorly, I told her I didn't like a color of a dress and she told me "yeah that dress washes you out." I figured she said that because I didn't like it but a professional wouldn't say that to a costumer. She also picked dresses I said I didn't like and put them on my rack to try on anyways. At the end she kept forcing me to buy a dress. I had 2 choices and didn't have my mind set on one. But she kept going on about how I can put money down, I told her I wanted to wait and then she said "what? do you not have money to put down?" At this point I was extremely uncomfortable and really wanted to leave. Even the worker next to us looked at her funny. She said "I'm not trying to push, I don't make commission from it" . Sounds like u are pushing. When my friend went up to pay for her dress, the lady their was also extremely unprofessional and rude. This was my first and last time coming here.
The ultimate is the shiiii guys and if you want someone to pick out dresses that are fire get Amanda. She s the bomb diggity, she was so nice and is supper funny . I definitely recommend buying here guys, and you guys would have fun !
Ultimate is the 'it's store for women' clothing. Every time I have an occasion I go to Ultimate and I always love their friendly and diverse customer service team. Today I was helped by Amanda who carefully listened to my needs and dislikes, then came out With the most amazing dress for me. I tried on the dress and immediately started smiling and dancing I knew it was the One.
I do recommend Ultimate to all my friends, family and anyone any size who wants to look gorgeous on their special occasion.

When upon entering this store, myself and my three friends were greeted by a sales lady who asked us if we were shopping , then began to guess our sizes and split us up. She proceeded to completely misjudge our sizes. she pointed to the plus size section and instructed one of our friends to go over there completely by herself towards an isle of dresses three times her size. this act seems harmless, but was completely inappropriate. this act of body shaming is unacceptable, especially in 2018 is awful. We all found this very upsetting and it completely ruined our experience here.
The worker Nancy helped me so much and made me feel welcome. She never rushed me and picked me out many shoes that she would help me try on and helped me choose my dress!
You may have to wait your turn, but once it's your turn, you'll be a princess at The Ultimate. I have twin daughters who are challenging to fit, and we came here just to look for Junior Prom. Needless to say - you'll never just come to look because you or your princess WILL fall in love. To have such a vast selection in so many sizes - we are talking 8000 or so dresses on site on hangers - is a blessing for those with a challenge. We are back again for senior prom, and who knows - maybe someday for a wedding? All colors, all styles - just know that they are pricier that your department store dress - in some cases very - but they are beautiful and well made. They are great about payment plans - 20% down holds your dress - and their seamstresses do fantastic alterations on-site.

Went shopping with my mom for her "mother of the bride" dress. Felt rushed, they were extremely impatient with my 9 year old who wasn't doing anything to warrant their frustration. Items were paired together yet we weren't told they were priced separately until we got to the register where they informed us that it would be an additional $100 on top of what we were paying for the dress even though the dress and matching jacket were shown to us as a set.

I went to the Ultimate for each of my prom dresses. The service is incredible and the gowns speak for themselves! On a whim, I visited with my mother, sister, and maid of honor just to see if they had any wedding dress possibilities. Within 45 minutes, I was in my dream gown. I can not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you, to the very capable staff who helped me find the perfect dress!
We came here and purchased my daughters prom dress after going to multiple stores in NH. The staff was above and and beyond helpful. Our sales associate was extremely patient while my daughter pondered and tried on multiple prom dresses. The selection is literally dizzying in a good way but honestly so many beautiful dresses racks and racks and .....It would probably take days to go through each and every style,color, etc. The Ultimate Womans Apparel was also one if the few stores I found that carried so many top designer gowns. We will be back next year when my younger daughter is ready for her senior prom. So thankful we made the drive
This place had lots of dresses, but it was very unorganized and jam packed. My friend and I went here to look for dresses and I grabbed about 5 dresses because they were all that I could find that I liked. It took me a solid 30-50 minutes looking through. I liked how they organized by size, but there were too many on each rack and everything was smushed together. When I found the ones I liked, I waited an extra hour and a half to try them on. That's right, an extra hour and a half. I was there for about 3 and a half hours. They have a waiting room, but you can't even hear the names they are calling, therefore you are forced to stand and wait in the chaos.
I think their system is a good idea but they definitely need to find a way to get people in and out quicker + more dressing rooms.. They were all very nice when I was there! My mom wasn't with me so I payed 20% on my own and I would either come back in two weeks or just order it.
I decided to order it over the phone today and it was terrible. I understand how they put me on hold because it is jam packed there all the time, but when I was talking to the girl, she was talking to other people (her coworkers) more than she was talking or listening to me. Some of her lines were just so rude.. For example,
Ultimate: "Okay, can I have a credit card please?"
Me: "Yes, but I'm just letting you know that it is not the same as the one I payed the 20% with"
Ultimate: "I don't care, just give me a credit card number."
Very rude and unprofessional. Sounded like they just wanted my money more than anything. My dress should be within a couple of days so hopefully it was all worth it.
OMG!!!!!! The level of customer service I received from Liz was outstanding. I m in an Atlanta, and was unable to find the dress my daughter wanted in a store. So I went to google and the dress showed available at The Ultimate. I tried to order online and no luck. I called the store and was told it wasn t in stock. In comes Liz who ordered the dress for me from the manufacturer the same day and had the dress shipped in 3 days. And the dress fits !!!!!! I highly recommend The Ultimate for all you formal attire needs and again I m in Atlanta. Thanks again Liz for your help.

I had a great experience with Dina. She was friendly, attentive and awesome to work with. This was our first experience looking for prom dresses and she took away any stress we had going in. Poor- Fair doesn't describe my awful experience at The Ultimate well enough. When I first arrived there I was directed to a section of dresses to look at, all of which were extremely unattractive. As I was about ready to leave the store a woman approached me looking to help me find what I was looking for. At first she was helpful in trying to assure me I would find something that was in my price range and understanding when I told her that I had gotten scammed online, but that quickly changed. She brought me to the back room where there were sample dresses that they could sell me cheaper in order to stay within my budget while she went around the store pulling dresses. As I looked she brought options to me that I told her I really didn't like, but she insisted that I "didn't have time to be picky" since the prom was just a little over a month away and that the dresses "looked different on". She also told me to "pull any dress even if it only had one little thing I liked about it"; this makes no sense since I wouldn't like the dress as a whole if I only liked one tiny detail about it. As I continued looking and finding no dresses that I liked she asked me about how I had gotten scammed. I told her about it and pulled up the website on my boyfriend's phone. Once she took a quick look at the site she said that I "should have know right away" that it was a scam from several different points; making me feel stupid. She continued to push me through the whole thing until she insisted that I try on the dresses she had pulled. I tried on a hideous green dress that I absolutely hated. As I stood there in the dress my boyfriend could see how upset I had become and spoke up. He told her that we appreciated her help but that I simply didn't like anything I was seeing in the store (he had to say this multiple times). The woman got very defensive stating that she didn't really care if we bought one there or not because she "doesn't make commission", which has to be a lie since she was practically forcing me into dresses. She also stated that they have the largest selection in New England, which might be true, but she couldn't seem to get it through her head that there just wasn't anything I liked. She also took one final stab telling me that they actually had the dress in the store that I had thought I was getting when I got scammed online even though she knew it was way out of my price range. Despite her multiple claims that I had no time to find a dress I found one at Macy's for under a hundred dollars that I was very happy with. It was all ready for prom day and I had a great time despite this awful experience at The Ultimate. I would NOT recommend this store at all mostly due to their AWFUL service.

I went to the Ultimate unsure of whether or not I would be purchasing a prom dress. I was a little skeptical at first because huge dress wearhouses kinda freaked me out. Once it was my turn to dry on dresses, Jannah worked with my mom and I and was a great help to us. She was a fabulous associate and Dress extraordinaire who helped me fall in love with my prom dress. With her help, I found a lavish royal blue and ivory Jovani dress with exquisite designs all over the dress. She was honest (which is hard to find in retail because normally they tell you everyothing looks good) and all around amazing. I seriously couldn t wipe my smile off my face from the moment I got into my dress. Thank you Jannah and The Ultimate for my beautiful senior prom dress and a stress-free process!!

I worn all upcoming prom dress buyers not to buy from this company. My daughter was a senior this year had bought her dress there before Covid started had no alterations done to it due to Covid did not have a prom and the company will not take back the dress that is in the same bag they gave it to her in. I find the company not very reputable or compassionate during this time to take the money away from an 18-year-old girl who's had an awful senior year.
My Daughter and I came in looking for a prom dress and Dina was absolutely amazing. I suggest for everyone who is looking to go straight there and ask for Dina, they had a fabulous selection and she knew her size right off the start and what to put her in!!!! I went to the ultimate (drove over an hour) and was extremely disappointed with my trip. First of all they don't keep track of the people that are checked in, the dresses were nothing great this year, and the service was awful. My "stylist" knew nothing about the dresses they had or any styles i was looking for. My friend's stylist commented on her size multiple times saying "your too big to fit into this dress" "you need a couple sizer bigger" "oh god please don't try to zip that" the comments they made were rude and un called for. My friends stylist, in the middle of helping her says "sorry my hands are cold i just was outside smoking a cigarette" then a couple minutes later says "i need to go get my mac and cheese bites" she comes back and starts eating this greasy fried food...... it takes a lot for a 17 year old to write a review.
They had really wonderful dresses and thanks to Terri she helped me find a dress that I love so much!!!
This is one of the worst experiences shopping for prom dresses that i have had in 4 years. I wouldn't even rate them 1 star. The dress was missing beads ad the hooks needed to be reinforced as they were loose. We had to go back 3 times for them to fix the dress the right way and for the alterations to be completed. The last time we wen they said it will only take 10 minutes yet 30+ minutes later the dress appeared. Each time they would make excuses as to why it wasn't completed and that the tailor doesn't speak English. Needless to say I was very frustrated with the time and effort that it took to actually leave with a dress that I purchased 3 weeks prior. The dress also need to be shortened which I took to my tailor. At the prom the beads on the dress unraveled. My daughter was completely distraught the night of her prom and was testing me pictures of the dress as it continued to lose beads. I took the dress back to Ultimate for a refund or some compensation for the dress losing the bottom half of the beads. They wouldn't do anything and once you leave the site that assume no responsibility, even suggesting that the dancing would have caused the beads to fall off. The manufacturer would not stand by the dress either. So i wen track to my tailor and she immediately refunded me the money that I paid for the alterations and also suggested that I go back to the dress shop as they should stand by their dresses. The owners were curt and were not going to refund me even a partial amount of the $400 dress. Buyer beware. They will help you when purchasing your dress but they will not assist you if there is an issue. I will never shop here again.
Had a wonderful experience picking out my daughter's bridesmaid dresses. They were professional, helpful and very sweet. The shop has an amazing selection of gowns, every color and price range. Fittings start next week and we get to select shoes and accessories from their huge selection!
Hey Guys I want to clear the air about some of the reviews I have seen lately. I have worked with the store as a subcontractor for years and have been a large part of what the store does on their outreach. The store does get busy at times during prom season and things do get stressful for shoppers with everyone in the store at once. However the owners Heather and Fawn break their backs everyday and night to ensure every customer has THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE! Heather will call me at 12:30 at night talking about some of the amazing experiences she and her employees have given to customers! Also the negative plus size dress comments are an outright lie. We carry gorgeous new dresses up to size 36. Our plus size girls are some of our favorite customers because it s amazing seeing how happy they are when they leave with their dream dress. Heather would jump in front of a train for her customers and her business. So come shop with us for the largest selection of dresses in the area!

So amazing, the girl helping us stayed with the sister for hours learning what type of dress she was looking for and hand picking out dresses she thought my sister would like! We found the perfect dress.
Went with my daughter and found the perfect dress with the help of Deb and my daughter will look like Cinderella. Best dress shopping experience ever!!! Thanks Deb for making her feel like a princess.

I had an AWESOME experience! I was suppose to get my bridesmaid dress in David's Bridal but had a terrible experience with them and I headed home when I saw The Ultimate Women's Apparel. It was God leading me there. I went in and all the employees worked on getting my dress they were phenomenal and great team players. They all separated in the aisle in search for the designated color I have to wear. When they gather the dresses they found which all the dresses they pick out are gorgeous dress, they all saw me with each dress and gave there opinion I felt comfortable with them and I felt as if I was among family members they were all superb and went above and beyond. I recommend this place, definitely must go if you need a dress for any event and you will be fond of this wonderful ladies!

First off let me say,
that I shopped for a prom dress at this location a year ago but I was too upset to say anything about my experience until now.
I went to the location and it was set up nicely and the people who helped me on the first day were fantastic and I actually found a dress I liked but at the time I was just trying the dresses on to get an idea of what I wanted until the following week when I planned to purchase the dress I found that day.
So the following week I went back to the store with my mum and my grandmother and I knew exactly what i was looking for so I was super excited and happy with myself. The woman helping me this day was a totally different person than the last time so I told her what dress I wanted and she got it for me to try on once again. When she helped me into it she said "this isn't the dress for you, you're too fat for this dress, believe me i'm a dress maker I know what I'm talking about." maybe I took this too harshly and of course she was just trying to help but come on,
I was totally offended after that and I ended up getting really upset as she continued to pull other dresses and make me try them on and I absolutely hated every other one they showed me. I didn't want to be there after that and I should of took my business else where but I didn't because I was way too upset to even care about the whole event after that until they put me in a dress that my mum and grandmother liked and they ended up picking it for me, and it was about triple the price of the one i wanted to get in the first place.
I have no idea who helped me but I was honestly disgusted with the whole situation and I'm still upset about it to this day because I ended up being stuck with a dress I hated because I didn't speak up, which is partly my own fault.
I'm not looking for any further business with this store.
We bought my daughter s Sweet 16 dress. Dina served us and she was amazing! Went out of her way to make us happy! Go see her, you won t be disappointed with her service. Beautiful dresses, great choice! Thumbs up to Nick who guided us!
