The Steadman Clinic is so incredible!! Each staff member is so helpful and knowledgeable about their area of expertise. From the first contact call, schedulers, surgeons, nurses, physical therapist I knew this is a team I can trust! As a surgery patient I was nervous, but knowing they had me well taken care of physically throughout the entire process and no financial surprises, allowed me to prepare mentally and emotionally. The hip is a huge body part and I wasn't going to trust this to just anyone. I'll be returning to have my other hip repaired. They are the ultimate surgical and rehabilitation experience!

I have used this clinic twice now and my most recent experience with Dr. Haytmanek and Ryan was amazing! Still recovering, but would definitely recommend to anyone who is in need of orthopaedics and wants to be taken care of the right way!

I am so grateful to Dr. Evans and his team for providing me with the pain relief to allow me to continue to be an active young adult. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and seemed to genuinely care about me being able to continue to have an active lifestyle.

Unfortunately I have had multiple ortho surgeries over the years for many different injuries. I always felt the care I got was good in Boulder County. However, I could not get anyone to work on my hip which had bothered me for nearly 20 years. Enter Dr. Philippon and Steadman Clinic who felt they could help where ten-plus years of PT missed the mark.

I had surgery to repair a labral tear and impingement in January 2019. The level of care from the entire staff was incredible. There was an NFL player and an NBA player there doing PT after similar surgeries while I was there and I felt like the care I received was the same as they got. As an older person who views themselves as a senior athlete it made me feel great!

The followup has been amazing, too. I get periodic emails from Mark Ryan who is Dr. Philippon's rehab coordinator and if I have questions HE ACTUALLY RESPONDS! The entire staff was so good while were there to me and my wife. I highly recommend!

Dr. Peter Millett is awesome! He has helped me to maintain a peak performance level in short order-- and he is a master surgeon with excellent judgement and a caring nature. When you walk through the halls of Steadman Clinic, you realize what good company you are in with walls adorned with autographed photos of professional athletes and Olympians staying at the top of their game. The staff and operating room team are totally on point, know what to do and when, and are completely familiar with Dr. Millett's routine. This makes for efficiency, good outcomes, and most important of all a high degree of patient safety. I highly recommend Dr. Millett and his team at the Steadman Clinic! Worth the trip to Vail as evidenced by people coming in from all over the world to be seen and treated there!

Dr. Millett and the entire team at Steadman Clinic are top notch! He went out of his way while traveling abroad to follow-up with us via email and phone calls to ensure we were well taken care of. The level of professionalism, compassion, efficiency, and attention to detail make their customer service and administration amazing, not to mention the fact that Dr. Millett himself is an excellent surgeon. Can't say enough good things about the entire team.

I had a hip arthroscopy on July 30, 2020 by Dr. Philippon. The entire experience from my initial appointment request in June to present day has been nothing but positive. All my questions were answered, and a surgical plan was made to alleviate me of the hip pain that had been plaguing me for over a year due to FAI and a torn labrum.

I was well taken care of, listened to, and greatly encouraged by the staff at the Steadman Clinic. I am now seven weeks post-op and thriving; truly I could not have asked for a better medical team to entrust my care to. I am forever grateful.

My daughter had a labrum tear in her right hip and we knew the Steadman Clinic was the place to go. Dr. Phillipon's staff is amazing! She is back to her old self after a year and a half of mis-diagnosis and pain. Thanks Steadman and Howard Head PT!

Dr Millett and his team are truly remarkable and have gotten me back extremely quickly under the circumstances. I suffered a massive rotator cuff tear from a dirt bike crash last September but didn't want to miss ski season so Dr Millett repaired significant damage (7 months later - retracted tendons) and I am now nearly fully recovered.
During my follow up visit last Tuesday Dr Millett seemed pleased w/ my recovery and asked if there was anything else. My right knee had been bothering me for the past 8-10 years so he took x-rays and an MRI and told me there was meniscus damage that could be surgically repaired. I called and got an app't for yesterday (less than a week from consultation) and had the procedure. My wife brought my crutches to the hospital when she picked my up but I didn't need them - no pain pills so far and I'm already walking my dogs and putting full weight on my leg.
How does this guy do these things, and what other body parts does he know how to fix? It sure is incredible to have teams like Dr Millett's in this world who are so caring and so proficient at what they do.

Excellent Care. I came here for revision surgery for a complicated hip issue. The team here was excellent, with a well coordinated set of services and rehab. Very detailed, personalized and comprehensive. Having had numerous surgical interventions I would only go back to The Steadman Clinic for future work. It's very hard for smaller facilities to replicate the size, scale, and expertise of this team.

I had a very bad experience here. I am writing this to encourage anyone in need of surgery to obtain multiple opinions before using a provider at the Steadman Clinic.

I was an active 32-year-old with no health issues other than my knee when I came here for a revision ACL surgery. My provider was Dr. Provencher. I was told I needed an ACL, meniscal transplant and OATS procedure to resolve the swelling and instability. They said this needed to be done in two surgeries so that they could remove a prior ACL screw in my shin and bone graft the tunnels before fixing anything. They said the first surgery would be very simple and second surgery could be done 6-8 weeks later.

Two days after the 1st surgery and being in utterly excruciating pain I was diagnosed with a DVT blood clot near the surgical site at the ER and put on blood thinners. I continued to have bizarre complications including multiple infections of the surgical site. The wound would re-open after closing and weep like crazy for weeks. I also had SEVERE complications with the blood thinner.

My PCP urged me to get a second opinion in regards to the infection and what to do going forward. Another surgeon explained that the Steadman clinic broke my tibia while removing the old ACL screw. The back of my tibia was popped off, a fracture on the side and missing bone on the front where it looks like the screw was bored out. They then smattered a massive amount of bone graft all over the bone which was protruding into my soft tissue. The new surgeon said he had never seen anything like this and that with the damage to my bone I d be looking at 6-12 months before returning to normal activities or doing the second surgery. He also said that this 1st surgery was completely unnecessary.

This explained why I had so many complications, but I was so shocked that I went to four more orthopedic surgeons to figure out if that second surgeon was right. And they all said the EXACT same thing. They had never seen anything like this and removing this screw/doing this surgery was not necessary. Every single one of these surgeons also had no idea why an OATS procedure was being recommended again more unnecessary surgery.

My operative report is a joke, it doesn t mention anything about what actually happened to my leg in the OR. I question who actually performed this procedure. Be aware that the Steadman clinic often has interns/fellows involved in surgeries. I think it is more of a teaching clinic/factory than anything and would strongly recommend you find a competent surgeon elsewhere. I am certainly worse off than I was before I came here.

Dr. Clanton is the BEST ankle surgeon in the WORLD. My son is an Elite Athlete being recruiting by FBS and FCS Football Programs across the country. Dr. Clanton repaired my son's ankle and he returned to play at %. Without his care, this would not have been possible. The most profound moment is when he prayed with my son prior to surgery; remarkable. Thank you as well to Ryan Williams for all of your advice and support.

I highly recommend Dr. Clanton s TEAM without reservation.

God Bless,

Dr Pierre Millett, a savior!!

Dr Pierre Millett, a savior!!

The entire adventure started with a major mishap from my local surgery center where they operated on my right shoulder for a complete rotator cuff rework which just never recovered. After multiple attempts (almost a year), I decided to check elsewhere. Being in a powerlifters gym, I consulted with a few guys and was highly suggested to check at Vail, especially Dr Millett who did operate on Brian Shaw, the strongest man in the WORLD.

In 2012, Dr Millett agreed to re-operate the shoulder and fix it which he DID. The recovery and mobility were rapidly improving and after a few months, I was back at the gym and beating those up pretty bad. Dr Millett had informed me, this was a matter of time, I was suffering of sever osteoarthritis on both shoulders. Basically, preparing me of total shoulder replacements. Then, in 2018 after literally abusing these to its bone limits, had MRIs and Xrays, showing clearly bone spurs and stuff all around the shoulders. This was the time now and knew, I could not trust anyone else for doing these important surgeries. Dr Millett and Dr Jason Kron did the right shoulder first and were surprised by the amount of bone spurs to remove (I saw the pictures), certainly not an easy case. Then, had my left shoulder in Oct 2018 (9-10 weeks apart) done. Great success!! After a full year, with tons of PT and mobility exercises, I can move those around, put shirts on, raise my arms and doing physical work that I could not even imagine a year ago.

Dr Millett and Kron, thank you so much for sharing your talents with customers like me. I wouldn t be where I m today without your support.

Dr Millett and his team are the best! Highly recommend them. After not being able to get two other doctors to listen to me that there was something going on with my knee still 2 months after an accident, I was referred by my physical therapist to the Steadman Clinic. Dr Millett and his team not only got my knee re-MRI d that day and results by the end of the week, but also didn t just drop my case afterward. They followed up and found something else after the initial look at the exam. They got me the right treatment I needed and I m finally starting to be able to walk without a limp for the first time in 3 months. They are also very easy to get ahold of for follow up if needed. Can t recommend them enough!

If you need arthroscopic surgery there is no better place in the world to be operated on and start physical therapy. I'm very grateful to the staff at The Steadman Clinic and to Dr. Marc Philippon. Everything was as perfect.

My sincerest gratitude goes out to brilliant Dr. Clanton and his entire team for the superb care they provided me throughout the consultation process, surgery, post-op recovery and subsequent care, following foot surgery in early November. The surgery and recovery was and continues to be infinitely better than I expected. Dr. Clanton is the kindest, most patient and humble physician I've ever met and the rest of the team have treated me with excellent care, compassion and patience. Mille Grazie! (A Thousand Thanks)!
