I liked this place a lot. Beautiful property with many amazing amenities. First luxury spa & friendly service. The building is an historic construction that meshes with the idea of a ski lodge rather than an ultramodern Ritz that some expect. Among the other Ritz locations I've been to, this is my favorite.

Stopped in for a rehydration break and some lunch. Definitely not the least expensive place to eat but the food was very good and the staff was very nice! It was very busy while we were there but the service was prompt. Try the Pizzas. You won't be disappointed.

Absolute fabulous location. With it being off season though, there were a lot of services that weren't available. Had to ask the desk to open the cigar lounge, and was told to go have my cigar outside on a bench by the road. Luckily the concierge open the lounge for us, but none of the lights were on and there was no one present to offer drink selections or open the humidor. I would recommend coming in season to enjoy all the things this resort has to offer.

Went in for lunch, prices out of sight,$41 for a Black Diamond Burger , $36 for Mac n cheese , etc. Now, I don t mind paying high prices and i am a big tipper, so long as I get top shelf service (service was average at best) and decent food (burger was undercooked and not hot (for $41??) Server was average personality, did not timely clear our table.

Our room was right next to the elevator... When you're paying a few hundred dollars per night you should not hear the elevator going up and down all night. The food was ok but over overpriced...

It s hard for me to write this because there are parts of this hotel I love, but I cannot stay there ever again. It s a Ritz in name only. I can not fault the couple of bright sparks who do their best to represent the Ritz brand, but the hotel does not have the spirit of the Ritz-Carlton at its core. I have stayed there three times and each time was a bit worse than before. The last time was so terrible it left me speechless. I had booked for four days, paid an ungodly amount in points and was excited about skiing. Unfortunately, I got orders to return to base in Wyoming two days early (Dec 2018). So I asked to check out, at which point the hotel said NO. If I check out I would loose my points PLUS owe them $4000 because they could book the rooms I was vacating. However, the manager was willing to make an exception and give me a CREDIT for the rooms that I could use before April 2019. mind you I checked the website, they were not sold out. I had not prevented them from booking the room. Also I happened to be Lifetime Platinum elite and just qualified for ambassador level, meaning I had over 100 hotel nights at Marriott s in 2018 alone. Thank god for the ambassador. It was
Only because of them I got my 240,000 points back and did not have to pay a cancellation fee more than the cost of my stay. But even that took 12 hours to resolve. I was so angry I couldn t continue skiing that day. I wasted a day on the slopes worried about a $4000 hotel bill because I had to return to serve my government. Never again. I will never stay there again and I would caution everyone about this property. It is not a real Ritz-Carlton.

Platinums beware! This hotel does not honor any platinum benefits, sat for over 3 hours waiting for a room I mobile checked in for and told my arrivals time of noon, was denied late checkout and denied a room upgrade despite better rooms being available on the app. 90 nights with Marriott this year and this is the thank you Marriott gives. There are nicer places to stay in the vail valley

Much better than being stuck on I70 in a blizzard. Everyone was great, but Fernando at the valet stand was exceptional as he helped get stuff we had forgotten out of our car, and Logan at the front desk and Lisa both had the nights schedule memorized and helped us figure out exactly what our plans would be for the storm; Sol at the coffee shop also helped a lot with this. We all really appreciated how much the employees showed attention to detail in some pretty extreme circumstances, especially with having to navigate the storms to get themselves around.

Great service and typical quality of a Ritz. Other than that there's not much special. They have a tremendous location with essentially their own ski slope.

The restaurants are weak. Very limited menus and the food was bland. Really disappointing after eating at the Four Seasons in Vail.

The spa and gym are excellent.

Pros : location is great. The chair lift is right behind the hotel makes it for easy ski in / ski out .
Cons: it looks like a Ritz but the staff doesn t fully reach that status. I can tell the ritz brings in a lot of new employees I m the high season who are not experiencied with the hotel. I had a few questions and they would either answer I don t know or um let me ask someone . I feel like they really didn t know what they were doing .
I was surprised they didn t do any of the notorious beaver creek cookies apres ski. Also I was surprised the s mores started at 630 which is right at dinner time. Why wouldn t they do it apres ski at 330 or 4 .
- also on Saturday nights they have a dj outside for apres ski . It was a whole bunch of college kids partying at the ritz! I thought this was more a family friendly mountain so I was supposed and annoyed about the dj apres ski. However the rest of the afternoons they had a guitar player which is appropriate for the ritz .

To all staff who we interacted with during our stay: thank you for making my dad feel celebrated and appreciated on his birthday.

The resort itself is beautiful, and our room was no exception. We were delighted to receive great service despite less staffing during shoulder season. My only critique is that the only available dinner option, Buffalos, had a limited menu that made Wyld's absence feel more pronounced. But that was a small inconvenience during an otherwise impeccable stay.

I was here for a business function from 7/19/2019 - 7/23/2019. This is not a Ritz-Carlton that I am familiar with. It's designed like average valley lodge with no A/C in the hallways on the floors to the guest rooms & the quest room thermostat would not allow you to control the A/C. In the banquet hall by Saloon I & II there was a dead mouse in a mouse trap exposed for all to see. The king size bed at this Ritz-Carlton reminded me of staying at Motel 6 in my college years for spring break. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on and each morning I woke up with a sore back, however I was paying 20 times the price per night.

I have been to many 5 star resorts but this one is above and beyond. Their level of customer service is exceptional. They must have a wonderful training program for the staff. The rooms were immaculate. The decor was a perfect blend of woods and elegance. The food was amazing, and the skiing was fantastic. The outdoor pool and hot tub were clean and perfect temperature. There is an indoor Groto, a big hot tub that was a must each day after skiing. I can not rave enough about Ritz Carlton at Bachelor Gulch.

Beautiful property with many amazing amenities. First class spa and relaxing gratto. Outdoor heated lap pool and 3 lovely Jacuzzis. They also offer several outstanding restaurants including their signature restaurant Wild. All of the staff here are outgoing, friendly, and extremely helpful.

However, the room experience was poor. The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. I requested firmer pillows and they delivered more of the same. There was also a water pipe in the wall that made a racket all night long making it nearly impossible to sleep for more than an hour at a time. I mentioned this to the staff and they said they would have someone look into it but that was as far as it went.

I also reached out to management after our stay and got a similar brush off. Unless you get some screaming deal I think you could find a comparable experience with much more comfort somewhere else in the valley.

While I haven't stayed at the Ritz as an overnight night guest, we visit every time we are in the area. The spa is the highlight of our Beaver Creek visit. We also really enjoy their restaurants, outdoor entertainment, and staff. If they could only accommodate a group of our size, this would be our home base 10 days a year.

My family just completed a weeks stay and it was an incredibly wonderful experience. The service on all levels was outstanding. What most impressed me was the Loss Prevention staff because l forgot my wallet in the safe and didn t realize it until I was home. Mr. Mason, the Loss Prevention Officer, had already secured my wallet and when we called told us he d be mailing it back in the morning. I received it yesterday with everything in it! Even the cash was untouched!! I can t say enough about how grateful I am for their integrity and honesty. I will definitely be returning and enjoying all that this wonderful resort has to offer. Thank you Mr. Mason and staff for all that you do for your guests!

My husband and I recently went to Bachelor's Gulch for his 30th birthday. This hotel was absolutely fantastic from the amazing staff to fabulous live music to delicious food. There was a slight mix up one day when I wanted to take snow shoeing tour and Robin and Kaitlin resolved it quickly and it really showed me how much this property cares about their guests. Wyld had some exceptional and unique Colorado food and Daniel's Bar and Grill was perfect for Apres Ski time. The outdoor pool and spa can't be missed either!

My ski binding broke in line at the lift in front and there are no repair shops unless you are renting skis directly from them regardless of if you're a guest or not no help and all of the people working were so rude about getting me help. I've been to a lot of Ritz Carlton's and always had tremendous service and this one was awful every employee I spoke with was so unhelpful and rude it was awful.

The property as a whole is very nice, with incredible views of Beaver Creek and the surrounding area. The service at the restaurant (WYLD) is really pretty great with very personal service (Dinner and Breakfast there). What falls short is the Ritz experience, which seems to be lacking from the quality of the room, concierge and service. This is not a five star resort, it's a four star at best.

For a Ritz, I felt like this one relied on location more than accommodations. Bachelor Gulch is amazing and I think this hotel would be awesome to visit in the winter but my experience had some major drawbacks that lead me to want to book in the village when I visit next. For starters, I of course have to recognize that COVID probably had a negative effect on the trip in general but that does not excuse the fact that our room was in "the dungeon" or what our friends nicknamed the second floor for its wall/road views, lack of light in rooms, and heated to "what would only be comfortable in winter" temperatures.

We didn't plan to spend much time in the room anyway so this wasn't a huge deal. However, the leftover dog kibbles on the floor, moldy blueberries in the fridge, and lack of ability to lock the sliding door were big deals to us. It was also a surprise that king beds were mostly in "the dungeon" when double queen rooms were on better floors (and we know they were better because we had friends staying on 6 with an actual coffee maker and bearable hall temperature.)

Overall, my wife and I expected more from a Ritz. Especially after visiting the Dana Point location (maybe our expectations were set too high.) The feeling that the lack of cleanliness and service was excusable by the hotel due to the great location was not an enjoyable experience. I hope future guests have better.

Pricey, but if you take advantage of everything the hotel has to offer (spa, pool, gym, etc.), it's worth the value. Great ski-in / ski-out location at the base of Bachelor Gulch with easy access to town via the free shuttle.

Notice how all 5 star reviews are LOCAL guides?? It's like the people on amazon giving 5 star reviews for their free products.

Came here for a wedding and the service was distasteful at best. Super grumpy staff
Sure they'll park your car with a smile but as anyone else, you're treated like second class citizens. For what you pay to stay here, it's worth it to go to the Wyndham down the road. Bigger rooms, superior service.

For being a "5 star hotel" I felt like I recieved 3 star service. Unless you have a $20 hanging out your pocket, no one will pay attention to you. Money is better spent elsewhere, hands down.

Clean your room? Yep, the Hampton Inn will do that for 1/4 the cost. All correlates to poor agreement without a doubt. Get your money's worth and stay anywhere but here...

My husband and I chose The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor ...

My husband and I chose The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch to host our January wedding. From start to finish, the team at the Ritz exhibited complete professionalism and exceeded all of our expectations. If you are searching for a wedding venue to reflect the spirit of Colorado and blow your guests away, look no further.

Our wedding coordinator, Christin Tubbs, went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend memorable. In every communication, she was clear, compassionate, and understanding. After we put down our deposit, we learned the hotel was renovating our ceremony and after-party sites. Two nights before our wedding, I saw the ceremony site for the first time since the renovation. I was surprised by some of the changes but Christin immediately put me at ease. On a moment's notice, she acquired 20 trees from a local nursery and rushed them to the patio. She even offered to have her husband build boxes or pots to hold them if we didn't like what the nursery sent over. We were blown away by her dedication and generosity.

Our only hiccup of the day came during dinner service. The sides served with our entree didn't exactly match the presentation we decided on after our tasting. Christin immediately acknowledged the error and gifted us an additional half-hour of the ballroom and open bar along with a discount on the meals to make up for it.

There are so many more details that made our wedding at the Ritz special from the wine awaiting us upon our arrival to the upgraded bridal suite. Our guests were dazzled by the setting and experience. We are so grateful to the staff for making our wedding everything we dreamed and more. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch will always hold a special place in our hearts and we are excited to return for anniversary celebrations in the years to come.
