This would be a 5 star review (and pretty much is), but allow me to elaborate.
The hotel itself sits in its foundation deep in the mountains, surrounded by ski resorts, mountain hiking, and beautiful fall foliage views.
The entrance is somewhat confusing at first as you're driving in. There are two security gates you must drive through, that to be honest, I'm not sure what their purposes are.
Once I arrived at the hotel entrance (sharp turns, so be comfortable with driving your vehicle in cramped spaces), I was greeted by Brian who was friendly and very helpful. There were plenty of attendants on staff so waiting for assistance was no issue at all. This is valet parking only which I don't mind at all.
Entering the hotel introduces you to a modern log cabin atmosphere. Dustin at the front desk was kind, helpful, and thoughtful with making sure all our needs were met.
The room was a clean single king with an amazing marble bathroom which had a deep soaking tub as well as a single standing shower. The shower was marbled wall and floor, using a large fixed flow shower head accessed by a glass door. The toilet was in a section of the bathroom all its own which I thought was a nice touch. The bathroom is well lit in all areas, so if reading in the tub is your thing, you're all set. Just don't forget the bubble bath.
To note, we did forget our bubble bath and the front desk was so helpful, they brought bathbombs from the spa, all in a bag with wrapping and a very thoughtful card wishing us a pleasant stay, and notified us that the bathbombs were gifts and no additional charges would be added to our room.
Dinner at Wyld was truly a delightful experience. The octopus, ahi tuna, and duck were all amazing and we had no regrets at the end of it all. The desert I found to be wanting however. The chocolate tart was clearly bought and not made in house, which is honestly to be expected when staying in a place like this. The duck was delicious but was prepared a way I'm unaccustomed to. More of a pull apart dish with tortillas to make tacos with. Still good, just not what I'm used to, which is more of seared and baked duck breast.
So the main reason for the 4 star and not the 5. The hotel is an older building and is clearly going through renovations. Water stains on the carpet in the hallway etc. Also it appears to be being reroofed in spots. But that did not affect our stay, the room, or services in any way. It's just a detail worth mentioning. If anything that's an applause to the staff for ensuring proper operation of the facility while under renovations.
I hope you find this review helpful, and I absolutely encourage you to pay a visit to the Ritz-Carlton at Bachelor Gulch. I'll definitely be back.

My wife and I were here at the end of the winter season. The Resort is wonderful and it has plenty of amenities and activities for kids. The employees are friendly but a little too cocky, maybe because they work in a high end hotel (which is what we are used to) or the snobby place they live at. Just felt an attitude with one of them, Luke Charles from Florida, who seemed to good to help us or give advice.

We have come to this particular RC 3 times now and each time have been so impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. This hotel is extremely dog friendly which is one of the reasons we love it so much! From the nightly s mores to the weekend live music and the awesome grotto. This hotel is a must!!

Nice bathroom in guest room but cramped sitting/public areas on the ground floor. Stayed once and will stick to the Hyatt from here on out.

We just stopped for lunch while skiing Beaver Creek. They had a smoker going outdoors for BBQ fare. The food was very good but at Ritz Carlton prices. However one price included drinks and sides which was plentiful.

Went to Wyld for lunch. Very good apart from they forgot to remove one ingredient from my pizza. Once rectified the pizza was excellent. It was expensive but that is to be expected at the bottom of bachelors gulch and the fact it is a ritz carlton
We stayed here for two nights for a wedding early ...
We stayed here for two nights for a wedding early in June. After having a wonderful experience at a different hotel down the hill prior to our RC stay, we were excited to experience the Ritz-Carlton. Unfortunately, we were continuously disappointed. The location and building are beautiful, of course, offering hiking right out the back door, an outdoor pool, etc. etc. My first giant complaint was with the housekeeping service. We were there for a wedding on the property during our stay, and we have a toddler who naps in the afternoon. So, obviously, we were in our room from about 2pm-5pm on the full day of our two-night stay when housekeeping could not access our room. Much to my surprise, they never came to clean the room at all. We were out of the room for most of the day before 2pm, so they could have come then, and we were out after 5pm. During the cocktail hour, I stopped back at our room to get something and noticed that housekeeping still had not visited by 6pm, so I stopped at the front desk and asked them to send housekeeping. I told them that we have a toddler in diapers (who was in my arms at the time), and asked if someone, at the very least, could come empty our trash cans. The lady at the desk said "yes", but this never got done. Our second big complaint was with the food. We expected prices to be higher than elsewhere, (I got charged $20 for a glass of wine), but we did expect decent service. When we visited Wylde for breakfast, we were asked to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes while they cleared a table. (There were several open tables and the restaurant was not particularly busy.) I placed an order for myself and my toddler of avocado toast and oatmeal, and then proceeded to wait and wait and wait. My toddler does pretty well in restaurants, but she was getting fidgety and hungry, so we eventually got up and got a bowl of oatmeal from the buffet ourselves so she could at least eat. As I had been watching the servers do this all morning, I cannot fathom why it would take 20 minutes to serve toast and oatmeal. To his credit, the manager apologized and comped our meals, but the entire incident left us frustrated and incredulous. I can't say I would recommend or stay at this property again. We had a wonderful experience at another resort in Vail and we can't wait to go back there instead.

I have traveled for business and pleasure for 20 years and stayed in many great hotels. However, this one is exceptional. I call it Ritz service with Colorado politeness and charm. Truly great people and the hotel is fantastic. Food, drink, spa, atmosphere. It has it all. If you are coming to the are for hiking or skiing, this is the place. Love it!

What an INCREDIBLE weekend getaway! I was familiar with the property but had never stayed as a guest until now. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. Olivia at the pool was so fun and accommodating, Jeff at Wyld made our dinner experience top notch. Don t even get me started about Drew at Wyld. The level of service he provided and his demeanor made us feel so welcome and like the most important guests at the hotel. Thank you all so much for such a memorable stay, we WILL be back! :)

I had a wonderful private hike with a guide named Deanna. She was incredibly knowledgeable, charming, and charismatic. I really don't know which was better, the lovely views looking out through the valley, or the enchanting banter shared between myself and my lovely tour guide. 5 stars Ritz Carlton, and 5 stars to tour guide Deanna.

Just left after spending five nights here. There were a total of three families traveling with us. The property itself is spectacular! The grotto in the spa was incredible. We all enjoyed eating at both Wyld and Buffalos. Afternoons around the firepit listening to live music was really nice. Travis who works outside is amazing! Special thanks to everyone in the lounge. Emily thank you so much for the kind gift! All of the staff here are amazing!

This place is absolutely top of the line. The customer service is above and beyond any other hotel I've ever stayed in, only inferior to cruise ship customer service, and the facilities are also outstanding. They have 9 hot tubs, 1 heated pool, excellent spa and locker room areas, and complimentary cookies, granola bars, bottled water, and shuttles to town.

I loved everything about my stay here. From the moment you pull up you're treated with the utmost care and respect. Some employees will greet you by name the second time you see them. The hotel itself perfectly ecapsulates the rustic lodge feel while staying elegant and beautiful throughout. Every meal was plated perfectly and tasted delicious. I don't plan on staying anywhere else when visiting Beaver Creek.

The Porters were top class, the desk personal outstanding, But something is wrong with the Food preps, the simplest appetizers ....i would expect from a drunken redneck Bar, My Wife and I had to skip dinner, the Pasta was served 60% cooked our platter or Nachos was served 70% un-melted Cheese on it. when our server came by for our dinner order i passed knowing that a 5 year old could have made a better job....i was shocked... even some other quest i talked with said the food was poor. My wife said we won't be back......

The valet scratched my car at this place and now I am out $800 as the bellman denied scratching it. Do not stay at this place unless you want your items returned to in a worse condition. I am deeply disappointed in the lack of care and concern that they have showed. The Ritz Carlton does not accept responsibility for their actions so please stay at your own risk. The Ritz Carlton is no longer what it used to be and it is sad to see the large decline in service.

Hidden charges galore. $60 per night valet fee with no self parking. $45 pretty night resort fee. 24% automatic gratuity at the bar. Crazy high prices. The service was really good though, and the area is pretty. The room was really nice, but I don't think it was worth the price.

The food was subpar and overpriced. A caesar salad with chicken was $24 and absolutely nothing special. The service was poor. The waitress, Cindy, lacked proper serving skills and was unapologetically rude. Redeeming aspects of our night were the atmosphere, beautiful views, and live music.

We stayed there the weekend of October 29, 2017. Our experience was wonderful. All staff including management were very respectful and personable. They went out of their way to put a personal touch to our experience. A special thanks to William, he went out of his way to find us a special place we could have dinner on a Sunday night. Overall the experience was very positive, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend this hotel. This is the place you make lasting memories!!

- My corner room had extremely low noise insulation and we could hear every conversation in the room next door, all day every day;
- I found service to be 'fake-nice' and disingenuous. Example: I am calling the front desk to request my folio by email - response i get: "Your folio will be waiting for you at the front desk" - i.e. "i don't care about your request, you work around what's convenient for me";
- An Ambassador Elite (or whatever the highest possible status is at Marriott) - i couldn't extend theckout by 1 hour! - The front desk kept giving me a canned response of "we don't have availability" even though check-in time at the hotel is 4 pm and checkout is 11a. I had to call Ambassador service line to have someone actually listen to me. Ended up leaving before check-out because i didn't want to spend any more $ at this hotel
- When trying to have lunch outside, the host would say things like: "we have a 45-minute wait for a table" but would fail to mention that bar area is open seating... I'd have to come back and specifically ask: "Can we just sit at the bar" and they would say yes. Just lack of thoughtfulness and lack of customer orientation throughout...
- Overall, i felt the service was robotic, impersonal and unwelcoming.
