Great place to visit during the winter, its literally a ski in ski out, awesome staff and great food, stunning views of the gore range, and there are some nice trails my wife and I snowshoe when we are not skiing. I recommend everyone to try and visit.

My company had our annual Christmas party at he Ritz and the hotel rooms were amazing! The buffet we had for dinner was very disappointing with little flavor and the meat was lack luster and bland (except the fish which was very tasty). The chocolate dip dessert was really disappointing as well and not very elegantly presented. The cocktail waitress at the Bachelor's Lounge was great and had an awesome personality!
Beautiful hotel and establishment. They have wonderful views, good hiking out of the lobby, and a fun fire pit where people gather to listen to live music and have some drinks. The spa here is amazing and I received one of the best massages I have ever gotten. Highly recommend checking it out if you have the time. Looking forward to staying here again.
It might seem strange to stay at a Ritz ski resort off-season during a pandemic, but we loved taking advantage of off-season pricing in the mountains. Our initial room, an upgrade was an executive suite with no bedroom window and a 20-inch TV. The second room was an improvement, but like many ski resorts, a bit dated and lackluster. Highlights included the oversized tub, relaxing marble shower and luxurious sheets. At the time of our stay, all onsite restaurants except Wyld and the pool bar were closed, but we had a nice (albeit pricey and basic) dinner, breakfast and poolside lunch. If you re driving in, keep in mind that valet is mandatory; despite our off-season stay, that was a $60 per night charge.
The scenery and the suite we stayed in was beautiful. However one of the main draws for us was that they had a dog meet and greet, but apparently those are inconsistent. I also think it's unfortunate that you can't order alcoholic drinks via room service. It was nice but I don't think we'll be back.
Fantastic service. Ski valet in particular was fantastic (blonde super friendly woman, can't remember her name). Was more remarkable because recent stays at other resorts (namely Beaver Creek Park Hyatt and Vail Marriott) have had very subpar ski valet service where our skis were lost. Regardless, Ritz always has outstanding service and this stay did not disappoint. 5/5.
The facility is beautiful and in a beautiful location. The room we stayed in was gorgeous with spacious bathroom and a great view. The bed was older and uncomfortable with very little support as well as were the pillows. I requested firmer pillows but received more of the same pillows. I was also surprised by the low quality bedding. Not at all what I would expect at a Ritz-Carlton. This location boasts a spectacular spa, which was a must during my visit. Booking my appointment was not easy. I called and the time I was hoping for was not available. I was given another time as a suggestion. After moving things around with my party, I called back less than 10 minutes later and the person on the phone was different and had a challenge booking my appointment. I waited as they thumbed through looking for times and then gave me a completely different time. They assumed I was booking a massage without even asking me what service I was requesting. The fiasco continued when I informed them it was a treatment I was booking. I received an appointment for 2 hours later then the time I had been originally given. I requested a female, and to my surprise when I arrived my appointment had been booked with a male. We also booked the Pinot and Painting event. After paying $40 per person we we're shown an 8x10 painting we would be completing and given a cup of wine. A plastic cup of wine that left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this activity. We did greatly enjoy the live music Friday night. The live music in the Great room next to the fireplace with a great glass of wine was the perfect way to end my evening. I would also highly recommend WYLD. We visited them for dinner and were beyond impressed. The food rivaled some of the top New York restaurants we had visited. The Ahi cones were delectable. Some of the other highlights I would recommend would be the grotto and the snow shoeing. We really enjoyed the snow shoeing. Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable about the area. The snowshoeing is slightly challenging. You have plenty of opportunities to rest and catch your breath but still strenuous enough to be a workout. Definitely worth the excellent views.
This place is uber cool! Location is the best, service is beyond anything you can imagine, every staff member is super super friendly and goes out of their way to help. This place is the bar by which any high service place should measure themselves. Ambience, looks and location are what you would expect from The Ritz, no cost is spared
We experienced gracious service in the Wyld restaurant on July 27 for a large party celebrating an upcoming wedding a few days later. We sat on the deck with a beautiful view of the mountains. At first there was a brief shower and we reluctantly moved inside. To assuage our disappointment with the possibility of permanently moving inside, the manager poured complimentary wine and served hors d oeuvres until the weather cleared. Luckily we were able to return to our outside table under the stars. The manager was very generous with service to our table of 14 people. It was one of our memorable dinners that week leading up to our daughter's wedding. Thank you to the Wyld staff!!!!!!
Attended an event for First Descents and had a great time! The venue was really nice and the hotel is one of the best places to stay in the valley. Ski in/ski out access to Beaver Creek and all the amenities you'd need.
incredibly warm and personalized welcome. each staff member seemed well educated on what would be the must-see areas, even for a one night stay. room is spacious and comfortable.
Never going back, I wish I could give a zero. Simple billing issue that the manager could fix with one click of the mouse took all day to resolve. We still came out paying more than we should have. What a joke.
Can't get any better than this. Ski in ski out, beautiful spa, top notch service. Bukkding is beautiful very upscale mountain cabin feel. Plenty of dining and shopping options. Clean rooms with nice views all around. Take me back. I could spend forever here.
Menu was a bit limited, not a ton of options. Also kinda pricey but that's sort of to be expected considering the location. Staff was very attentive and courteous with good suggestions. Chicken nachos are recommended.
This is one of the best Ritz Carlton Hotel I have ever stayed at. It s not a hotel actually it s a resort. The only negative thing is they don t have Nespresso machines like the others I have been to and they don t have USB chargers. So you have to bring the entire charger. But those are just very very superficial things. The resort is super clean and people are professional. It s the definition of a nice quiet resort. Definitely highly recommend coming here in the fall time. Autumn here is heaven in October.
The Ritz BG has a great location and is awesome for anyone looking to ski/snowboard. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is great. Would definitely recommend the spa as well.
Zachs cabin on Batchelor gulch mtn. Is truly 5 star, we ate at the bar and it was truly a treat. The bartender scotty was amazing, he was knowledged and helpful, making our dining experience wonderful. The icing on the cake was the sleigh ride to and from the restaurant..
Met friends here for drinks after skiing this weekend. The main lodge area and fire pit area are great for grabbing drinks and snacks. Unfortunately the bar was out of a number of beers on their list.
The property is fantastic, really the only negative part of the experience was check in. We were led to believe our room would be ready imminently only to find they still didn't have our room ready 3 hours later when it was guaranteed at 4 pm. Picture is what is included as the welcome gift for elite members. I couldn't find details anywhere and it was almost like a secret.
We've been here a few times, and it's always a good time. The outdoor hottubs and pool are my favorite parts. The Wyld has a great brunch, though it's certainly mountain hotel priced. The room is OK but nothing to gush over. Staff greet you with a smile and seem genuinely glad to help you in any way.
The rooms were immaculate and breathtaking. The complimentary shuttle service swept us away from location to location within Bachelor Gulch Village allowing us to enjoy our time with friends and family without a care in the world. Wonderful decor, dining and atmosphere.
Top notch in all aspects. We were there for a conference, these facilities being excellent. Service, professionalism and attentiveness was wonderful from ALL employees we encountered. Long way from town center but that didn't matter as the facilities were adequate to just hang out there. Would be perfect for ski and stay.
I usually charter a jet to Aspen and check in on my winter home. Last year my heater broke in my wine cellar and i lost 14 bottles of my 1996 Screaming Eagle supply. Sigh... I decided to visit Avon as a solice to my emotional state, which had deteriorated severely due to the loss of my best wine. I decided to stay at the Ritz-Carlton. Absolutely perfect choice for your stay in Avon. This Ritz is the largest log-cabin in the US. Amazing service at every point of my stay. Truely a 5 star, ski in ski out hotel. Well done staff you made my stay perfect. You feel welcome with a smile from every staffer you encounter. Comfy bed and pillows make it hard to get out of bed. Room Service! 5/5 will stay here again!
What a wonderful place to spend a holiday! Plenty of options for the whole family... great food, fun activities, primo shopping, and relaxation in the spa. The Bachelor Gulch caters to everyone's needs. There's always the skiing, but we also took advantage of a day hike to the peak using several of the multiple trails. Went to the spa to soothe our muscles and had fun at "Wood burning and whiskey". We also took the opportunity to use the photo concierge, fun time and great photographers, so much so, that we took advantage of the "Dream Package". The Thanksgiving turkey was some the best I've ever tasted. Likewise, the Club Room snacks and treats were delicious and a wide variety, a nice compliment. The staff are super friendly. Had a grand time and I'd highly recommend a stay.
Heat in room doesn't work, no hot water, will never stay at Ritz again. Way overpriced for what you get. I am still at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch currently - can't wait to leave.
From the hill at your doorstep, hot tubs on the hill, the grotto, and the amazing staff who really seem to go out of their way.
But the name and the $700 a night ticket price doesn t dismiss the fact that the finer details are sometimes missed at the Ritz bachelor Gulch.
Because of the weather our second leg into Beavercreek was cancelled.
Arriving the next day we were invited to sit in the bar for almost 30 minutes while they readied our room which we were meant to have stayed in the night before.
My question is why were we charged the nightly rate the evening before and yet we still had to wait for the room to be prepped the day after our scheduled arrival.
The front desk receptionist was oblivious to the fact we had been travelling for two days and gave no effort to welcome us or ensure our comfort.
After a restless sleep which inadvertently pulled the pillowcase off, I found old blood stains on my pillow that from what I could tell had never been washed.
Further to this, while prepping for my day skiing and stretching on the floor in the morning, I was forced to notice how dirty and disgusting the bedskirts and carpeting were.
We left an additional tip requesting vacuuming which was never performed during the last 2 days of our 5 night stay.
Though these are all secondary items and I can understand may be overlooked during high season, these details could and should easily be accounted for during the quiet times.
There are no excuses why these finer details can t be accounted for in a place which prides itself on its name and property status.
