Great location in Bachelor Gulch, steps away from the lift. Great spa and out door pool/hot tubs. 2 restaurants downstairs. Every afternoon there is a fire, live music, and smores! Arcade and kids club make the Ritz great for kids. Dogs allowed as well.

Amazing. The service is outstanding. The valet is great when you arrive. The food selection is great and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Dog friendly. Totally on top of the service situation.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch, Rm 907 in February 2015. It was very nice. It is perfectly located as the base of the Bachelor Gulch lift. Great ski-in, ski-out. Each day, they have a marshmallow roast next to their large outdoor pool that they heat to 82 degrees. Around that pool are several hot tubs, which seem to be open all day. The only negatives were that the washing machine was broken for the entirety of our stay, Beaver Creek is a much smaller ski area than Vail, and this place is very expensive. If you can afford it and don't need a washing machine for clothes, this place is very nice.

Any time you can swim laps outdoors when it's 25 degrees you have to give the place 5 stars. This very family and pet friendly hotel is a great getaway for any family makeup. From fireside s'mores to Santa there are great things for your kids to experience during this holiday season. All sizes of dogs can be found walking their owners around the hotel and grounds, the restaurants have excellent food, and every single staff member will go out if their way to make your stay perfect (one staff member even gave my wife the hair tie out of her own hair). The grotto is a relaxing indoor pool attached to the spa that is adults only, except for select family times that must be reserved ahead of time. And if getting on the ski lift by walking out the back of the restaurant appeals to you, then don't hesitate to have a stay at this wonderful location.

This Ritz is not what it once was. We have been staying at this property for 16 years. Although I fully expect everything to be very expensive at the Ritz, the quality and service at this property is no longer in line with the price tag.

I left Wyld, after having the most expensive dinner in a year, hungry. The lamb chops had about 3 ounces of meat total, and twice that in fat. At the bar I had the most expensive (and worst) espresso of my life. It came from pod.

We paid $475 to have a photographer take pictures for 20 minutes. It took 3 trips to the photography desk. On the 3rd trip the front desk located the photographer working in the coffee shop. Marcelo agreed to take our pictures on his lunch break. When we paid we were told to expect the photos the next day.

5 days later, after several calls and emails I received a message with a login to view photos that were so watermarked they were not distinguishable on my phone.

In that same email was a price list asking us to pay a an additional $675 to $1895 if we were to receive any photos at all. At present, we have not received any photos and are out $475 for the sitting fee, tax and tip.

I wish now we had asked someone to snap a picture with our phone. We have zero family photos of the most expensive vacation we have ever taken.

The spa hasn't been updated in a decade. My wife and daughter canceled their second and 3rd reservations after the first trip and went to a nearby spa that was 'twice as good and half as much'.

I wish we hadn't returned. This trip ruined the memories of all the previous years of what we thought would be a family tradition that transcended generations.

The views here are still amazing. It is some of the best skiing in the world. I believe that these things are what have allowed the Ritz to neglect this hotel while continuing to raise rates.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful resort for three nights. We love Fall and were blessed to have chosen the perfect time to visit. We enjoyed the several beautiful hiking trails. Also, loved having Smores over the fire pit. The room was perfect and clean. As much as I enjoyed my stay- I left disappointed. The second day at the resort- I received a call from the front desk requesting another credit card. We had been traveling all week. Thus, had a lot of holds on our main credit card. I was surprised as the hotel was already holding several hundred dollars. I was more than happy to provide another credit card and did. Then, at the time of checkout, I was told my card would not go through again. I explained to the young women a the front desk that your hotel was already holding $1,600.00 (the final bill was less). The girl at the front desk said: I could not leave until I paid my bill and asked if I would like to check out later. Very condescending . Well, she could have just asked for another credit card. Right? I offered her another credit card, paid the bill in full, and left. This was two days ago. There is still a hold on my other credit card. I do not care so much about the hold on my cards - I was just hurt by the way I was treated. My husband is a Marriott reward member- (42 times this year) and have never been treated like this.

The pool wasn't heated, the hot tubs were disgusting because they were full of leaves, service was slow, they ran out of hot water, room service barely did anything when they actually did visit our room, the "cooler" (not a refrigerator) in the room was in a cabinet whose hinges prevented you from actually being able to open the door to the cooler. Very frustrating and not relaxing, and although we did visit during their off-season we still paid good money to stay there, so the terrible service and overall dirtiness made us decide we will never stay here again. Do not recommend.

Such a spectacular place...words don't do it justice...it must be experienced. In addition to the obvious - ski in/ski out access - it's the best resort experience I've had from start to finish. 5-star service from the moment you arrive until you leave, large comfortable and luxurious rooms and common areas, heavenly spa treatments (I had the Miner's Mineral Mud Wrap) and all the resort amenities (too many to mention) are top notch. Can't wait to return!

Probably the best hotel i have stayed at. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Whole property is beautiful. Resort sits on top of a cliff with great views. Room had amazing views of the mountain. Restaurants had great food. They have an underground spa with a huge hot tub called the Grotto, also has a eucalyptus sauna. Heated pool with 3 hot tubs outside as well. Ski lift right outside the back door. Best Ritz i have stayed at! Highly recommend!

Hotel itself was beautifully decorated, and cozy. All support staff was amazing with the exception of the front desk. They tried to upsell us on the club lounge access and when I shared that on my reservation I am already guaranteed lounge access (my room I booked says so) they said I still needed to pay the extra $200 even with my Marriott status.

I am displeased with their lack of urgency when I rang concierge or front desk, similarly while using the app. I walked downstairs EVERY TIME we needed something. We had noisy neighbors and awkward fighting across the hall in the middle of the night. Because it took so long for the staff to jump in, we asked the neighbors to keep it down ourselves (Seems like the right human thing to do at 9pm). When we shared our feedback with the front desk, they advised us to ring them next time which was obvious they weren't listening when I initially shared their SLA was too long.

Finally, our bill was incorrect. We had line items for restaurant checks that were not ours. Because I was inconvenienced so much during my stay, unsure this Ritz matches quality service of other Marriott properties and don't think I'd recommend this other than having access to spa amenities. I expect more being an elite member and while staying on a club lounge floor.

This Ritz was beautiful on the outside, but awful with their food, rooms and service. Our room heating was broken and it took two days to fix. The room service was repeatedly over 1.5 hours to arrive...and eggs came raw. I purchased $300 of treats as gifts from the bakery, and my friend broke a tooth on the stale dessert! No compensation, no apology. Don t stay here! Every other Ritz I have stayed is far superior.

One star - no ranch, and tiny bottles of hot sauce.

Just kidding, this was our first trip to Avon and our first time staying at a 5 star resort, and it was so relaxing. Everyone answered our questions and was very polite. Our room was beautiful, and I wanted to take the bathroom home with us. The food was delicious, and the drinks were even better. My husband and I had a wonderful weekend and will totally consider coming here again.

This is a gorgeous hotel, right next to Batchelor Gulch chairlift. It has an outdoor fireplace with seating, accessible to non guest skiers! Be prepared to spend a lot of money on food and drinks, while enjoying the ambiance of this amazing hotel.

Come during the main season - can feel the off season swing and vibe as in staff ready to get out and how the place is upkeep - pictures crooked in lobby, etc... other than that very beautiful location and awesome little perks here and there

I have visited this place 6 times over the last 10 years and this place stands in my top 3 hotels of all time. They have incredible friendly staff and the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Very convenient full service ski in ski out resort. They have a really delicious espresso bar inside if you are up early.

I am staying here with my family currently and let me just say that this is one of the nicest hotels I've ever been too. We are used to staying at 5 star hotels and this exceeded expectations. Great staff. Great food. Great emenities. Wish I could give this place 6 stars!!!

It is the most gorgeous ski lodge with the ease of access to the mountain for skiing. On a Saturday evening, they have live music by the fireside with comfortable areas to relax. Step outside and there is a roaring fire with smores & marshmallows to roast. My experience including dining in WYLD which was phenomenal with my entree of the Maine Scallops and a beet salad as an appetizer. Beautiful presentation and wonderful service.

Huge mess up with check-in, our room wasn't ready until 4.30 when check-in is 4pm, we were told that it was due to a late check out, but that is basically saying that the other guests money is better than mine. Decor in rooms is severely dated, looks like it hasn't had an update in 20 years. I thought Ritz Carlton was supposed to be a premier hotel chain - this felt more like Holiday Inn.

Another good Ritz. I used Marriott points for our stay and was put in a room I wasn't all that pleased about - no view except for the entrance. I should have said something but didn't - my bad.

Visited during summer times. Trips to Vail are easy and great. Aspen's a short drive and totally worth the summer views. Service is unbelievably friendly. Food service is delicious. Drinks at the bar are crazy expensive, though.

Gives a very ancient historic look with the wood construction. Housed inside the resort area and perched right at the top of it. Good views. Food at the restaurant priced decent as per a resort. However the drinks prices are quite high. Best to visit during winters for the ski season as will get ski lifts as part of the resort fees

This Hotel is everything BUT a decent Ritz Standard! Service isn t good, the rooms are old and you are lucky if room service is in a good mood. The great room is way to crowded and busy after skiing and some of the waiters even have the guts to add tip on a signed bill! Luckily we found out and were identifying those people.... unheard of for a hotel that is everything but cheap! Can highly recommend most Ritz Carlton Hotels for outstanding service and accommodations but definitely not this one!

Very nice hotel. It had a mini party outside with good food and drinks for guest and skiers. However, there is no village bachelors mulch. You have to shuttle or ski to the village where more activities are located.

Our stay was for leisure, 6 days. From the moment we pulled up, the staff was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making sure every one of our needs was met. Our bellhop, Brian Sanford, not only polite and friendly, offered us specific suggestions on actives we might like to do. The room, initially was not satisfactory, however, Greg, the manager immediately came up and found a perfect room to our liking. Greg actually showed us the room first to ensure we were happy with it. The service was outstanding during our entire stay, including the valet, concierge, housekeeping, spa, dining, front desk, bar, and hotel porter. The amenities were wonderful, some include the billiard room, heated pool and jacuzzi, spa, and the shuttles at request were a bonus! The hotel offered morning Mountain View yoga and guided trail hikes daily. The room was well-appointed, mountain-cozy and comfortable. We have stayed at multiple Ritz Carlton s, yet this experience was the absolute best of all! Thank you to all at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch resort! Can t wait to head back.

Had a suite with an amazing view. The staff attended to every one of our needs. It was elite level service and even better dining. If I could make the trip a few times a year, I would! It s a beautiful village and peaceful area of Colorado.

The rooms are great and well furnished, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the skiing is fantastic. The only negatives are things like deciding if the top floor for the view or the bottom floor for convenience is better!

In my opinion, hotel is outdated. Clearly no pride of ownership. A real black eye to the Ritz Carlton Brand. I ve stayed at many Ritz Carlton s, this hotel not worthy. Most services were second rate at best. By example, the breakfast buffet was just horrible, retrieving my car was a nightmare. When I complained, I had the rooms manager summon me as if I was an employee. Rude, made up remarks about my conduct. In other words, instead of fixing issues and making things right, there is a total disconnect and defensive melt down. When I returned home, I received a call from the GM. He called to tell me he sticks by his staff, another disconnect. A GM not worthy of a 5 star brand. This hotel is nothing more than a holiday in with a fancy name. Mariott should pull the Ritz Carlton brand immediately. Bachelor Gulch inn more like it. Don t stay at this junker.

We chose the Ritz Carlton Bachelor's Gulch due to it being dog friendly. We vacation with our dog and it is important that she is also welcome. Great hiking right out the door of this resort. The staff is friendly here. The hotel is well kept and clean. I did not give five stars due to the absence of a convenience type store. The hotel is isolated and there is no place to quickly grab packaged food or a beverage, say to take on a hike. But, I understand they will run down to the grocery store for you. The dog fee here ($125) is also higher than all other hotels we have stayed at. Other than those to negatives it's a great place to stay. Isolated yes, but plenty to keep you busy, entertained, and having a good time. There shuttle service is fast and efficient.

The attention to detail in this hotel was unparalleled. I am hookah feen and they opened up the lounge for my wife and I to enjoy privately. Looks like we found our permanent spot for when we visit the Rockies! Kudos to the front desk, house keeping, management and valet!

Incredible hotel and an even more incredible and super friendly staff! I stay 100 nights a year at Marriott properties around the world, occasionally at Ritz Carltons, and this hotel is by far the nicest and greatest experience i've ever had. Do yourself a favor if you stay here and get a club level room, the club has an amazing food selection from Breakfast in the morning to the desserts at night.
