I was skiing at Beaver Creek with my lady, and went down to this place to enjoy a beverage and live music. We ended up getting a tour of the building, and learning the history of it...very nice staff, and an impressive resort
I have not yet to stay at the hotel, but my experience thus far is horrible. I called to make an adjustment to my stay in January 2020, and the lady who answered was awesome. She agreed to the reservation change and stated she would send a confirmation email shortly. Before I received an email I received a call from the same lady 10min later advising her boss, the reservation supervisor advised she did not have the authority to make the change. Being that my reservation change was 2 months away and I was Titanium Elite I was shocked at her call back. I asked to speak with the supervisor and she stated that call transfers were not possible on her phone. So I hung up and called the hotel getting the reservation supervisor. He was rude, abrasive, and very adamant that his staff would never do such a thing. I asked him to listen to to the call recoding and go and speak to the associate. As of today none of that has happened and he advised finance will not allow the transaction to go through even though just yesterday it was an approved transaction. It s unfortunate that this company will not honor their commitments.
I have been with Marriott for over 10yrs and they have been great. But when one of your employees agrees to something whether right or wrong you should honor that.
Moving forward I will move all my business to Hilton. I plan on giving up my Titanium Elite status and canceling my Marriott bonvoy credit card as a result of this issue. I know that in such a big company we the loyal clients will lose in the end.
A simple we will honor what our employee stated and do the right thing would have been the right thing to do. Try and avoid this hotel if you can.
Have a great day Marriott!
Very beautiful place had lunch there and that Bision Burger was delicious
We went here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and they treated us like royalty. Not only was the service and food out standing, their grounds are impeccable. Can t wait to go back!
Pool was cold. Lots of hidden fees. $30 a night for parking and $30 a day resort fee. Not impressed at all. We will not be returning. Very overpriced.
We got a two double beds room for our three person girl's trip. Google maps gave us directions right to the hotel. There are several gates and we felt very safe. We had a beautiful view of the summer mountains and pool on the eighth floor. The room was immaculately clean. Great decor, fixtures, and textiles in the room itself. Robes were also provided in the room. The bathroom was luxuriously large, making it easy for us all to get ready. My only complaint is that there is not much light in the bathroom at all. There is only one elevator to access the rooms which may be problematic when there are more guests at the hotel. It made for longer waits to go up to the room or down to the lobby. The staff was friendly and respectful. Service was efficient.
Wonderful experience. Caring and thoughtful staff. What can I say besides "It's the Ritz!"
Loved it here, staff was great, hotel was beautiful
This is a great place to stay. It's the stereotypical luxury ski lodge experience and so much more
Wonderful hotel right at the base of the bachelor gulch lift. The staff is pleasant and always willing to help. The spa facilities are excellent and very relaxing.
Lovely hotel in one of the most beautiful places in America.
Staff here is absolutely wonderful and the resort itself is stunning
Really nice place. Food was mediocre at best. Most of the staff was exceptional but there were a few that I didnt think we're very good.
This is a great hotel. Rooms, staff, location, activities. Can't beat it. Great restaurants. If you can afford to jump up to club level it's worth it.
Beautiful hotel and spa with the best bathroom I've ever seen in a hotel. The staff was great, and the food at the restaraunts was really good. My only complaints were that the humidifier in my room did not work and the beds were not nearly as comfortable as one would expect from this expensive of a hotel.
Great place, fun bar and restaurants, 100 feet from the lift. Outstanding employees.
Best hotel I've ever visited. Best service, have to visit the spa!
The Ritz of Bachelor Gulch is simply amazing. The largest log cabin I've ever seen. The massive fireplaces and towering chandeliers in the great room are inviting and extravagant. The outdoor pool is hard to beat in the winter or summer. Two nice restaurants compliment the stay to keep you cozy while slopeside access to the ski resort are hard to top.
We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch during a quiet time of the year. The staff was truly excellent. The amenities were amazing. What a treat for us!! There was a slight billing error which worked in our favor. Our special thanks to Melissa who resolved the issue in the true spirit and reputation of the Ritz-Carlton. We will be back.
Always an incredible retreat. Also so dog friendly. Best place to get away from the typical hustle and bustle of Vail and braver Creek.
So rustic and homey. We had the upgraded suite with a kitchen overlooking the mountain. GORGEOUS!! The spa was amazing! You can use the hot tub and sauna complimentary with your stay.
Staff was amazing and was not at all fake, food was delicious and was adequately priced. Had the best burger ever at Wyld
Let me start with the amenities. They are using Keurig coffee machine with equivalent to what Quality Inn hotel are using. Well being a 7 star hotel, Im expecting Nespresso!. They gave me two stirrer and no sugar/creamer. I have to call for the housekeeping twice for them to give me that after 30 minutes!!
They are lack of hospitality. Chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate would be a nice gesture to give especially during winter. (Thumbs up to Double Tree Hilton in Vail with room price no more than half of Ritz Carlton) But yada! All they gave is just plain water.
My bed were separated away from headboard. Have to wait another 20 minutes for housekeeping in middle of the night.
Oh! May I remind you that you have to pay $60/night for valet parking. There is no place to park except here.
Someone charge their inroom dining to my room and they asked me to pay. Cant believe I have to argue with them. And they are not being apologetic for the mistake.
Terrible!!
If you got the time and the money, this is the place to stay at Beaver Creek. The location is amazing, the views are amazing and the bill for the stay..Well..its amazing.
Great atmosphere for a ski break. Good food....$$$$.
Expect to pay a premium because they deserve it. The service is attentive and efficient. The entire experience is wonderful from atmosphere to amenities. Would recommend.
Customer service is great...kwnolegeble, helpful and carrying staff. Got lucky to have Megan as my therapist and got absolutely wonderful-feeling facial this morning... took advantage of the other amenities after treatment. Will be back!
When it came time to start planning one of the biggest days of our lives, choosing a venue was a no-brainer. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch Resort holds such a special place in our hearts for many reasons. We knew we had to have our wedding at the place where our blended family has come together to create some of our favorite memories while staying at the beautiful property. We can t say enough great things about the team at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch! It was truly an exceptional experience from the day we met with Events team to well after our special day had concluded. Every single person that we, our wedding planner, our families and guests encountered during this process was wonderful to work with. Their eagerness to make our dreams a reality was beyond our wildest dreams. We had the incredible opportunity to bring our vision to life from crafting a Cuban-Italian style dinner for our reception with the Chef, to ensuring that every tiny detail was taken care of. We truly couldn t have done this without the graciousness and professionalism of our Special Events Manager, Christine Meyer, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure a smooth transition of events during our wedding weekend. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts to the ENTIRE Ritz-Carlton team for making an otherwise stressful event into the most incredible weekend for our dear family and friends.
The food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Ski-in, ski-out. Every aspect of this place is luxurious.
Beautiful mountain resort! Rishaun at the front desk saved me from horrible hang-nails when I had forgotten a trimmer by providing me with one. My breakfast server from Trnaslyvania was also incredibly kind and attentive. He gave me two blankets! Melissa, the event coordinator, was a pro and kept everything running smoothly.
Only down side was that my event meal was eaten by mistake (I was working) and all the kitchens had closed by 11pm. I ordered room service but they had a limited menu and it took 30 minutes for chips, guac and hummus :(
Beautiful hotel. If you are not staying in the hotel I highly recommend that you still visit to grab lunch dinner or coffee. It is a great place for non skiers to visit and have a nice time enjoying the mountain views. They have a big lounge were you can grab tea by the fire and enjoy some live music. They also have outside seating and the place is reachable by skiers, so you can stop there for lunch if skiing too. Note that parking here is very expensive ($100 minimum) so I recommend leaving your car in beaver creek or in the near lot and taking the shuttle that brings you straight to the hotel.
Beautiful views. Rooms have issues;broken A/C, bugs, unmade beds, garbage.... Room service was overpriced and food was gross. Spa was nice but the gal wasn't trained well.
I won't be returning.
Great stay at the Ritz. As always outstanding service, welcoming atmosphere at a charming location with great views.
I was hoping I would be able to leave a review an official post-stay review directly though RC, but I never received the survey link so I am forced to leave my review on google.
Bottom line, I would recommend this resort to anyone and everywhere that inquires about it. The facilities were amazing, but the memorable experiences were created by the even more amazing staff.
Logan at the Front Desk, set the tone early by helping us before we even arrived. He answered every question we had, and accommodated our early arrival with no problem!
Garrett at the bar continued this experience the next morning by helping my wife and I get some early morning drinks in. We chatted for about a half hour, and I can promise you that this guy is an A+ hospitality talent.
Virginia was my server in the lounge area, and she provided great drink recommendations as well as the best dessert on the menu. She did an exceptional job.
We ate at Buffalos one night and had Bethany as our server and the service was just as exceptional as the food was!
Finally, we took the bus into the main village area a couple times and I had the pleasure of having an older gentlemen with a grey beard as my driver (I'm sorry I never caught his name), but he went above and beyond to provide all the best dining experiences as well as other things to do and see in town. He initiated the conversation which made it that much easier for us to open up and ask a ton of questions.
I will definitely be returning again next year, and I hope to see some of these individual again!
The architecture of this "log cabin look" hotel never ceases to amaze me. The place exudes warmth and has that 'pioneer days, wild-west' charm that I find ever so inviting. The ski-in/ski-out $10 mil + vacation homes built around this hotel, tucked away in their own acre or two lot enclaves follow the same beautiful architecture. Surprisingly, as much as these homes cost, they all seem to be rarely in-use...I never see anyone near or around these properties. I seem to digress, I bring up the homes only because they share the same architecture as this beautiful hotel...getting back to the hotel, as with most Ritz Carltons, the service I have encountered has been personable and sincere. This place comes highly recommended!
What can I say but amazing and wow! Alex and Zack were extremely patient with me and my family after having traveled a long and stressful day, they did everything they could to relieve our stress and make our family vacation as relaxing and stress free as possible. Being a platinum member and visiting many properties all over the world, Alex and Zack delivered the best service I have ever had at a RITZ CARLTON. Daniel our valet was great with our kids made them laugh and smile, he also tended to all our needs went above and beyond to help us out with all our questions and needs. We will definitely be making our traditional thanksgiving trips to Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch.
You can't get a more gorgeous building in a more ideal location. Very high level of service that is reflected in the price. You can't walk to anything but there's a shuttle to take you into town. The restaurants are good, get the breakfast buffet, it is worth the $30. Drinks are expensive, a draft will run you $9, get a mixed drink, they're only a little more but are top quality. Housekeeping comes and goes throughout the day tidying up your room.
Great place. We visited in the summer with two children under 6. The staff was super nice to the kids.
Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a beautiful property. The location is slightly secluded from Beaver Creek city but there are shuttles running constantly to town and back which worked out great for us. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service. There are many hiking trails, overall is a really nice place to relax.
Great resort tucked away in Bachelor Gulch. Plenty of activities for all folks of ages a d the food is awesome as well.
Excellent stay at this property this week, August 25th. The manager was very generous with the room upgrades, offering us a larger more comfortable room. The staff was very friendly. The property was gorgeous with sweeping views of the mountains. Many complimentary activities included guide nature hikes included. Very child friendly and the spa, carved in the mountain was amazing. They were very accomodating with helping make last minute reservations. We had a very gorgeous, serene and holistic experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lodge atmosphere and stunning architechure makes this one of a kind property.
Sky in and out in Bachelor Goulch, 5 min in bus from Beaver Creek, always life music in winter. Great restaurants
Bloody expensive, but keeps the mountain affordable for everyone else
I stayed at the reputed Ritz-Carlton with hospitality a little bit about staying for a birthday celebration.
I told her that it was a birthday celebration in advance and was excited about what kind of hospitality Ritz-Carlton would offer, but there was no special response. I felt sorry if there was at least a message card.
It was the first Ritz-Carlton, but he seemed to be expecting too much. The location and atmosphere are good, but there are many cheaper places.
The hotel and staff are wonderful, only complaint was that we were there 4 days and 3 night and never had our room serviced once
Great experience. Brought our dogs with us and they had set up a dog bed and treats/food for them. All the staff was beyond helpful and friendly. I will definitely come back!
I was hoping to be more impressed by this resort. We were just passing through on our way to Denver. It wasn't bad it just seemed on par with four star resort. For the record this was in their off-season.
Best sauna and Spa I've ever been from a Ritz-Carlton
Friendly staff, reasonable facilities, best lift access in the valley!
I would have given 5 stars but they actually spend time up selling you while getting a massage or facial in the spa. Rest of resort is amazing and the restaurants are really good. If you prepay for breakfast, forget it. No way you can eat for $35 here. But hey, it's the Ritz, right?
My favorite Mountain hotel. It's a ski in/ski out hotel with a lift at your doorstep, a pool with impeccable views of the mountain, great food, and a spa second to none in the Rocky Mountains.
Loved our stay. Service was great, the room was well appointed. Our only complaint was the bed, the mattress and pillows were too soft, in a worn out way.
A lovely time as usual for the kids at the tree lighting. Unique events this year were a welcomed change.
We have had a great trip, but it started off a little Rocky at first.
The management stepped up the following day to help assist with our issues
Buyer Beware!!! This property is the 96 out of 98 Ritz properties in the world. Noone has any idea of what they are doing everyone from the Front Desk to Managers and hourly staff. They lie about menu items ie Chili is made with ground beef when the menu says Game meat chili. Rooms are never ready or are wrong when you check in. Overbooking rooms! No Wagyu beef at all just plain Beef but charge Wagyu prices. Watch out if you stay here.
It's an amazing beautiful property with great people and ok food
True definition of ski-in/ski-out. Lift for Bachelor Gluch is 50 yards from the lobby door. Usually has drinks/bbq event happening in the outside courtyard. Heated outdoor pool. Ski valet service. Multiple restaurants, cafe and light snack areas.
Largest log cabin structure in US. Staff is super friendly and goes out of their way to make things right. More secluded than Beaver Creek or Vail, but the transit system - Village Connect (get the app) makes getting around to other places very easy. Not many food options and the prices are resort based.
Went up to Zach's cabin for dinner pretty tasty entrees. Appetizers and salads were so-so
Nice mountain resort and location. Has its own private lift chair to connect into the system, however doesn't run in summer. Our suite was huge, but the rooms seem dated. The one restaurant we tried was average for a Ritz. We will skip the More
