A terribly run down facility that relies on location and view to lure guests. If you've ever experienced the wonder of a dumpy property maintaining the DoubleTree brand, this is your mark.
Faded wood is a prominent feature in the very slow elevators that hold a few guests or a luggage cart, but barely both. Hair and old black grime/dust in the bathroom corners. 2 foot wide 'balcony' was perpetually puddled wet with AC condensation that seeped under carpet. Elsewhere in the room, the carpet was somehow sticky. Bring indoor footwear.
Staff was nice and attempted to move us from a very musty room crossing mold and wet dog odors. Ultimately, the room they had left smelled of a powerful air freshener.
Parking was ridiculous. Ill-timed very busy holiday week construction kept the motor lobby closed so the only provided option was to cross a huge lot with our luggage. Simply not the premium experience that we paid for in this DoubleTree, but not far off from the properties that leave us wondering how Hilton keeps them branded.
