Food here was really nice, ordered the Jamaican Pancakes the bananas were a bit soggy perhaps old ones were used also had cheesy fries to share and portion of that wasn't a lot. Drinks were good we ordered an iced chocolate, unicorn shake and an iced coffee which was for some reason was cold. The farmers breakfast was really nice although very filling, overall food pancake dishes had a generous portion sizing. Waitresses were really nice and accomodating, food did take a while to take a while to be served and prices of the dishes were around $20.

The basic pancake + vanilla ice cream taste good, however the service was terrible. we were ordered 3 pancakes, 2 of the pancakes arrived earlier, I saw the waiter brought the same kind of pancakes to the other guest and make we waited so long for the third pancake which make the ice creams on the pancakes that arrived earlier melted :(.

About the atmosphere, you can smell the scene of maple syrup all over the restaurant (which is good).

They didn't cleanup the table properly, i found trace of sticky thing on my table (probably syrup).

These are the worst pancakes I ve ever had, pancakes came quick but were poorly presented. Ice cream was frozen and could not be eaten, fruits were frozen and rotten. That s not the worst of it, the strawberries were infested with maggots and wasn t even checked before serving. When we informed them about this, all they offered us were more pancakes that we didn t want. Even though they gave us a refund for one of the pancakes, I felt extremely disgusted and sick after.

As usual, great food! This was the 1st time here as I previously went to the one on Bourke Street Mall, but that one is now closed. Good for families or even just on your own. Good large selection of dishes to pick from. This place is very busy especially on public holidays. (We were in a line for around 15 minutes waiting for a table) Staff are very polite but did seem a little overwhelmed with how busy it was. Will be going back here for sure.

We came here just before closing and I was very happy with the service. Friendly staff, tasty pancakes and a great selection of toppings. The pancakes on their own are a bit plain, but the toppings definitely make it a great experience for a late night feed

the pancake was SOoOooo horrible!!! ordered the same meal at the Doncaster pancake parlour and it was vastly different to the one in Melbourne Central. Doncaster s was flavourful and tremendous!! great size and worth the $30 price point. Melbourne Central s was revolting. It had no flavour at all, was greatly smaller in size and i did not enjoy eating it. Was definitely not worth the price (which was the same no doubt!)

Well located within city center. Good ambience with a rustic feel. Open late. Good pancakes but the fish and salads were also good. Service was good and fast and children friendly as well. Love the place and would recommend friends to it with hesitation

What a beautiful dining experience to have catching up with an ol buddy. The tall order of Jim Beam Maple Malt was not one to disappoint as a midweek pick-me-up. Will definitely be back for the Jamaican fried banana in my belly. A great spot for any ravenous tourist or a 9-5pm worker!!!

Way over priced for what it was and menu didn't have accurate descriptions. We aren't in America, hashbrows are not just shreds of burnt potato and paying $4 for one shrivelled up piece of bacon that isn't the size of a regular short cut rasher. Absolutely disgusted

Decent meals but failed to physically advertise public holiday surcharge on Easter Monday. We were notified upon being greeted. We were told the meal would be a 15 min wait, it was around 20 but we were given our meals without cutlery. The worker who served us said she would be right back with some. She never returned. 5 minutes passed and nothing so we asked another worker who took our meals and returned 5 or so minutes later with fresh ones. We weren't offered any compensation instead only asked if we wanted to add to our order which we declined.

Let me tell you, I absolutely love pancakes. If a cafe or restaurant has them on the menu I'm 9/10 times ordering them. And obviously the Pancake Parlour is no exception, considering 98% of their menu consists of pancakes.
When I got there to meet my siblings, we ordered pretty much right away, but there was a problem with the tablet so a different waiter had to be called - oh well, technology can malfunction like that - but the new waiter, right before taking our order told us to "hang on a moment", assuming that tablet malfunctioned too, we waited. And waited.
5 minutes later the waiter hadn't come back and we were watching every waiter (including the two who had tried to take our order) pass us with other people's orders, with no idea about the situation with ours.
I managed to call over the first waiter after a few minutes and it was sorted out. However my siblings and I were a tad annoyed because the lack of communication was frustrating to say the least, so much so that we were going to just walk out of the place because of it, but decided to stay because we were hungry.

Anyway, the pancakes were pretty good and they didn't get our order wrong so at least that went right. Overall this experience was a solid 6/10, the only downfall being the service and lack of communication.

The pancakes made and served here are really delicious and have visited this place with my wife couple of times. There are various pancake options to try. Its worth the money. The waiting staff are really friendly, courteous and look after the customers very well.

I am absolutely disgusted at the service and quality at the Melbourne Central pancake parlour. Came with a friend and his young daughter. We waited for at half an hour for our food to arrive and when it did it looked like it had just been slapped on the plate. My friends crepe had soo little filling in it that it was flat , his daughters Alice in wonderful was a total mess slopped onto a extremely tiny plate for a child to eat something so haphazardly thrown onto the plate and the majority of my meal was missing. When politely told of these issues, all we were offered was a plate of delux fries , which in turn we had to wait another half an hour for. If there were minus stars I would give this place minus. Me and my friend are both in the hospitality industry and honestly are both absolutely appalled that this disgusting standard is being represented at one of the biggest tourist destinations in Melbourne city. Melbourne would be ashamed.

It was busy but worth to wait. Enjoyed our afternoon treat. If you are nearby must visit.. love it..

Almost had a fit when I saw the miniscule crepe size, with it carelessly slapped on a plate. Could have easily fit the entire ""meal""in the palm of my hand.
I had to take a second look around to see if I was at a daycare centre being served up little-lunch. The cook should hang their head in shame.

One of the best places to go alone or with friends. The place is cozy and the employees are so friendly and helpful. Although it's a bit pricey even for students meal, ordering one dish is really filling since they usually put two huge fluffy pancakes for a standard dish. So if you wanna have a quick bite, just share the dish and you will still be satisfied.

Yum

Came here first thing Thursday morning and much to my surprise the place was already filled with patrons . There was only one person on ,I believe she was the manager. She did a amazing job considering how busy it was. I did witness some disgruntled customers who weren't very nice, the manager deserves some credit as she held her self very professionally, I couldn't of done it better myself.

We were recommended pancake parlour so made extra effort to go on our trip. However I m sorry, I was very disappointed with my experience today. We were warned that there was a wait - roughly 20 minutes. 35 minutes later no food. After enquiring, we were told soon soon still no meals at 45 minutes. Bathrooms had no soap, it had clearly been dry for a while now as absolutely nothing was coming out.
Two small things that unfortunately make an experience.

Not sure if management has changed as my previous visits have been very enjoyable. Waitress ignored/avoided my friend and I trying to make eye contact with her three times. Soy drink did not come as soy and I did not realise until I felt unwell after (due to lactose intolerance). Paying took a good five minutes though we were next in line as the staff seemed to struggle with split payment.

Don't get me wrong i love pancakes but the service in this store is absolutely abysmal. I don't know what the wait staff are doing, apart from gossiping in the corner and not serving customers.

Great selection of tasty pancakes in the centre of Melbourne. It gets quite busy in the evenings, luckily we did not have to wait long it seems to be part of the same chain that also owns the pancake restaurants in Sydney, pancakes on the rocks etc.

As far as Pancake Parloirs go, this one nails it! A beautiful restaurant fitout teamed with attentive staff is bound to be a win!

I opted for a single stack because I justed wanted something small, but upgraded my maple syrup to the organic type - delicious!

I really enjoyed my lunch break. I was served immediately with open smiles and my meal came out fresh and hot. I didn't have any problems finding PP and would highly recommend for team meetings and celebrations.

This place was highly recommended and we had a coupon for bye one get one free short stack. I would not recommend having that at all. If not for the coupon I'd have paid 25 dollars for two undercooked pancakes and a horrible "cream" that wasn't even creamy. It was just water and made the pancakes soggy. The ice cream wasn't bad but don't think this place is worth it if they can't get a simple cream right.

Ok
