The 2 stars are for the Munster Stack. Service was poor, we waited to be seated, we waited longer to have our order taken. Pancakes were good but paying almost 7 dollars for a cup of milky froth is a joke. When we finished, we wanted to order coffee but whoever was in charge of our area was MIA. We opted to get coffee elsewhere. When paying the bill, the staff were not aware of their businesses sponsorships or special offers and it took 3 people to process a discount. Your staff could do with better training to maximise your profits rather than overcharging for glasses of flavoured froth.

A favourite among many of my friends, Pancake Parlour offers a large and creative range of sweet and savoury pancake options. They also have a student menu with better deals but you ll need to ask one of the staff for it. However, their products are more on the pricier side and some of their pancake options are a hit or miss. Regardless, staff have been patient and helpful, and the Melbourne Central branch has a great dine-in area that can accomodate larger groups.

The service was really poor. The waitress came to check in just once. We waited for more than 45 minutes to get their attention to place our order. Really disgraceful when other branches are doing such a good job.

Came here with the family for breakfast on a Sunday morning and the place was quite quiet around 9.

Had the egg and bacon breakfast and the family had an assortment of other pancake dishes. Everyone was happy with their meals... Just a typical pancake parlour which is sort of what you expect anyway.

Worst experience we ever had. Took 20 mins to serve water. The Chocolate Jubilee had a coffee flavour in it without chocolate syrup.
Melbourne central pan cale parlour worst experience. Will never go again and never recommend again.

Terrible service. 5 hour stop over in Melbourne so thought we would pancake parlour it up as we have been once before and had amazing food. We walked 30 mins to get there and waited an hour for them to open, sitting out front.
8am and a severely hung over waitress whom didnt greet us at all put some menus on our table as she continued on to the next. She then started serving the other 2 tables inside instead of us whom had been waiting for a long time. I went inside where she rudely, again without a smile or friendly greeting, informed me the tables outside were to order at the counter and pay. Im not a psychic.. youd think she'' have let us know when she put the menus down. Our food came out after 3x other tables who had ordered after us. Not a smile. She clearly didnt want to be there and it was felt. The food was average. The whole experience was not worth the hour round trip walking there and back and hour bus ride from the airport.
Lift your game pancake parlour. Ive been hungover at work before.. u made the choice... fake it! Youre job is customer service. Not one person in the place enjoyed their experience this morning

Fantastic job by Pancake Parlour Melbourne Central.
I had a 45 person booking, they were happy to increase the group size the day of so great flexibility there.
They served two courses to 49 people within 90 minutes with no visible errors with food or orders during a busy Saturday night period. Manager was amazing and made sure to come to me about any questions or enquiries. Waiters and cooks were polite and great!
All dietary requirements were met and were served first to avoid confusion.
Amazing dinner for the Vic Urchins Gaming club!
We will be happily using the same restaurant in the future for any community function dinners.

Personally enjoyed the student deal for $16. Loved the barammundi it was perfectly cooked with a soft fluffy pancake on the bottom! But the portion sizes are a tad small. My friend has a chicken crepe and her plate looked quite empty with only the crepe and salad compared to mine. Iced T2 chocolate tea was the bomb! Staff attitude could be a bit better but overall still enjoyed our time there!

Good serving size, great ratio of pancake to toppings. Was a short wait time which was good. Service was professional and with a smile. The gluten free menu and range is fantastic for a dessert place. Really would recommend coming here, whenever I'm back in Melbourne again I'll be coming here for sure.

Compared to the old Canberra store, now separated from the brand, this store isn t a lot of things: it isn t cosy. It isn t traditional. It isn t large. The menus are a little complicated too.

However, what it lacks it makes up in service and quality. The staff here are wonderful, they have an electronic ordering system in place here unlike Canberra, and the food is just as delicious as always.

Iconic. An institution. Part of your childhood if you grew up in Melbourne. Is it a culinary leader?.... No. But will you have a fun time if you don't take life too seriously..... Definitely. Enjoy yourself.

Always love pancake parlor, probably my no.1 restaurant that I love to go to. Yes it's a bit pricey, but they do have many options that are available as special deals. Overall it's still a good place.

As usual - delicious pancakes. Good range of gluten free options. Now they have dairy free pancakes and icecream too. Yum.

Very friendly service from Nicholas, we will definitely return. Very handy too, as it is next to Hoyts cinemas.

Over the last 20 years I have visited Pancake Parlours hundreds of times. I have never had less than a delicious meal - every, yes, every time.

Well done Pancake Parlour team, keep up the great work. It s nice to see that you have never become complacent with your customer service or quality control.

PS, thanks for making your maple syrup gluten free.

Awful customer experience, the service here is non-existent. Surprising for a restaurant located directly above a food court with many other dining options for customers.

After being seated and checking in as requested I waited for 15 minutes to be approached by a staff member and offered a menu, before leaving because they repeatedly walked past without acknowledging me.

The online menu does not load properly as they have used images for menu buttons instead of text, so if you re inside ... I don t know, like a shopping centre like Melbourne Central and have poor internet connectivity you cannot use the online menu. Apparently staff are supposed to offer a sanitised copy of the menu, but they seem to be useless at their jobs.

Go elsewhere.

Update February 2021 - Still waiting for the team at Melbourne Central to get in touch?

The Food was great! The costumer service was amazing as well especially Zeevar and Guy... They both even went as far as to ask me how the food was going. Not many restaurants nowadays have that. They definitely deserve a raise. Or a Gold metal.

I would like to thank the team of pancake parlour Melbourne central for the magnificent service and warm welcoming. It truly is an Australian icon for a reason and it holds its value and respects the title. It is just so relaxing to come in to a restaurant, order ur food and get it super quick.

Once again thank u all and have a great weekend.

This was by far the worst value for money on top of the absolute worst pancakes I have ever even tasted.

I would recommend a McDonald s set of hot cake (for $5) over this restaurant s Canadian breakfast thing of 2 eggs (burnt), a single rasher of bacon (cold) and two under-sized and shriveled pancakes. Not only will it be better quality (and quantity) but also better service! I ordered a coffee with my family which took nearly half an hour to come out and was suddenly found after I told the waiter I no longer wanted it.

This experience was one of the worst I ve ever had in any food-service industry and I would advise who-ever reads this to steer clear and save yourself the extra cash.

Really good service here. We came in, took a few minutes to decide & got our order off. Probably around 15 mins later we were eating.

Such yummy food, and friendly staff. Well worth heading to if you're in Melbourne Central.

A good location in Melbourne Central and a really nice and comfortable space. The service is generally great too. But the food isn't the best value. The portions are quite small, and it's all way too expensive for what you get.

Good COVID-19 plan and spaced out seating. Excellent idea to package up cutlery and serviettes CV in paper bags. Very clean surroundings let down by hostess showing us to a booth with an unwiped table.
Bavarian Apple pancake with whipped cream was delicious.

While the food was delicious and they have a large selection of vegan options, service is really bad. They tried to sit my party of four at a booth, I am in a wheelchair so I would be blocking a walkway. I tried to explain that but they didn't seem to understand and had to go and get someone else to figure out what to do since we "didn't want a booth". Had 3 different servers attempt to take our order after we had ordered and our drinks took forever and we managed to get a drink we didn't order however didn't receive table water. 2 of the four meals came out 20 minutes before the other two. We tried to flag someone down regarding the drink mix up and the fact the other two meals were taking a while (when one of the meals with pretty much a combo of the two that had already come out) it was impossible to get someone's attention. When we finally did they said there was a mix up and someone had ordered the exact same meals (including the changes we made to the dishes apparently) and that table water doesn't exist and we had to go and self serve (even though they let us order it?). So even though the food was nice the lack of management of the staff and how the restaurant functioned ruined the meal.

Delicious.

Delicious.
Pancakes were good, bacon was better.

The worst pancake parlour I have ever visited. The staff doesn't even bother taking your order and make you wait forever. I hope the management takes strict actions to help improve the service and customer satisfaction rates.
Please Note- the service team kept me on wait on a quite Monday afternoon where only 2-3 tables were occupied.
