I always have a fantastic time here, they help to cater to my rare intolerance and never make a fuss about us making changes to our order (before there made), the food is always good and served with a smile even during rush hour. a large area always clean with lots of space and seating, many times we've come by in a large group without giving notice and still managed to find seats for all of us (even if not together), a personal favorite for my friends are the student menu and kranskys, i order off the menu and opt for a fruit salad as i cant eat much on the menu due to sucrose intolerance. the serves are lovely people

I am appalled with the service at pancake parlour, my comrades and I were craving pancakes on a Saturday morning we ordered and the pancakes were decent and everything was fine up until we went to pay. Mind you it was roughly 10am on a Saturday morning and the establishment was practically EMPTY, I could've sworn I saw a tumbleweed pass through the restaurant. We asked to split the bill and the response was "sorry we don't split bills during peak periods" I turned to the female and stated harshly that the establishment was empty and that their would be no reason not to split the bill. I was about to ask for the manager when my comrades kindly stopped me in my tracks fearing what I may have done.

I've been to the Pancake Parlour in Melbourne CBD twice . I liked the place. Although it's a bit pricey, you can spend once in a while to eat what you like right?! They have a variety of pancakes and other savouries. I'll definitely visit again to try other different pancakes.

Good food, though thick and eggy, and drink was fine but unexperience staff, teach them to be more aware! They dont ask if your a member like werribee and highpoint always do and scan your account and food as required before payment and then dont want to refund or scan your account after you pay. Say theres nothing they can do even though its her fault for not double checking and doing her job thoroughly, she goes to ask someone else, thinks its okay to get visibly mad at you and shake their head as their going to ask someone else. Tested them on purpose and im afraid they dont cut the bill. Go to other pancake parlours and support better staff.
Happened today 15/5 between 11am and 12:30pm so you can teach staff who i wont name since i have respect and asked her to please refund and everything else kindly however she got visible attitude and should be embarresed. Between those times how to be better staff, I should feel like i got offered all options instead of having to point it out before i finished payment like "hey you didnt scan my membership and this special voucher" Either way, they make it out that your annoying and their not in any way reliable when most places ask to scan your membership. So i am not going to support this restaurant and my family and friends know and their going to tell everyone they know to avoid this restaurant

Despite being very overpriced, I have a soft spot in my heart for Pancake Parlour. It reminds me of America. And it has plenty of vegan options (which have only gotten more delicious). On my first visit, I tried the vegan crepes which were just alright. But I returned to find they ve swapped to normal vegan pancakes which are much better. Their soy coffee isn t half bad and the vegan chocolate malt is good (and only $5!)

Ok

Staff here are friendly and awesome. I will, shamefully, admit that I have wandered into the establishment tipsy quite a few times. The staff are used to it and share a couple of giggles with you as you fumble with words in your druken state. The food is top notch, just what you expect from pancake parlour. Quality desserts, pancakes, and beverages. The place is clean, there's a bathroom available that's also well kept, and the wait for your food is not long. Love it here.

Always good food.

Often the premise is old, outdated and rarely refurbished.same for this location

Food was lovely, waitress was great, but food and drink arrival took ages. 20 minutes for the drinks, 45 minutes for the delicious pancakes, during which we ordered a lemonade, which took another 25 minutes. On check out waited 10 minutes, because of some problem with touch phone payments of other customers.

My friend came here to eat today, and had a very unpleasant experience. Her waiter was completely inexperienced and overcharged her for her meal. His customer service was also terrible, and he did not know which food was vegetarian. When asked whether a dish has meat in it, he simply shrugged and said he did not know. Very disappointed after hearing these things from my friend, and will definitely not be eating here in the future.

Something of an Australian icon, this pancake parlour in Melbourne central is conveniently located on the third floor of the mall and is open late. While most known for its sweet offerings, there are actually many savoury meal options, some involving pancakes creatively accompanied with savoury sauces and sides. While it used to be quite cheap, the Pancake Parlour is now a bit more expensive but does offer vegan options with many of its popular signature desserts like the short/long stacks. Promotions offer good value and their new winter parlour option has some succulent sweet combinations at prices that change depending on the outside temperature. Check it out.

Checked out Pancake Parlour for the first time, wanting to take advantage of their $5 deal on Friday (2 $5 pancake options plus $5 fries). Wait staff were super nice and there's literally no strings attached so we only spent $10 for lunch for 2 people which was a good deal. Inside is nicely themed and clean. The food itself was so mediocre that I am genuinely shocked anyone might pay $23.9 for these pancakes. Nothing wrong with it just not great on any level (flavour, visuals, size...). The other one which came with bolognaise was even more disappointing.

Go for the Friday deal to check it out but otherwise definitely not worth it when surrounded by so many other cheap, delicious options in Melbourne CBD.

I love pancakes but who wouldn't.

I love pancakes but who wouldn't.

This place was below average with the food quality.

Blue berry pancake breakfast eggs were watery, bacon was OK.

Regular pancakes are boring, tasteless and dull.

Plus a bill for $45 for a average breakfast and pancakes is not worth it.

A MOUSE!!

A MOUSE!!

My Family and I visited the Pancake Parlour - Melbourne Central. When arriving it took quite a while to be seated. After being seated with Menus we had to wait a while to order maybe 15 minutes. Once our order was finally taken 3 other staff members tried to take out order. Clearly there wasn t any communication between staff. While waiting for our food there was some commotion at a table nearby. We soon realised there was a MOUSE running around the floor....not a nice thought while dining. Our food was good, small servings. When leaving to pay, it took ages for us to be able to pay. A queue of people were waiting to pay with no service.

Still one of the best places to get your pancake fix. They do both savoury and sweet pancakes. They also have other desserts like banana split and sundaes. We came because of the winter promo where their sweet pancakes price is determined by the temperature outside. The Jubille is excellent! The chocolate pancake is moist and the toppings complimented the whole dish. Be careful for the promo each dish you ordered you must have 1 member. The overall experience was dampened by lack of staff on the floor which makes it hard to order food and even refilling water.

I only ordered the three stack of pancakes which came with a few choice's , on the side for $21. I chose syrup and ice cream. So good. But the variety of food there is not limited to pancakes. Parmigiana was on the menu and so much more. At reasonable prices.

We went there 2 weeks ago and saw a mouse running around!!!
Was very disgusting during dinner and even worse when we told them they offered no apologies and only 10% discount!!
Eventually they agreed to cut off the whole bill while being sour about it. We saw the mouse again and again and they ignored us when we pointed it out to them...

First staff member we saw about a table was very blunt and not friendly, coffee was cold, food took for ever to come and was okay but not worth the money. Asked 3 different staff members for a glass of tap water over the space of half an hour and when it never arrived ended up going to get them to fill up my bottle before we left.

Staff friendly enough but not really looking to provide great customer service just a service.
Banana split turned up without a banana and wasn't that great anyway.
Other pancakes we got weren't that great and a place like this could do much better if they tried but not worth the money.

I've been a couple of times. First time I didn't get what I asked for, but I didn't mind, the food was good but a little overpriced. The second time I was decided to try the dish I wasn't able the previous visit. My surprise was that half the dish was salad which is not included in the description of the dish (disappointed at that point). I thought I wasn't going to ruin my breakfast, so let's enjoy it. Worst was my surprise when I tried the salad and it had Cucumber which I don't tolerate.

Well in summary, food is decent, a little overpriced to my opinion and not a good experience getting a plate which had 50% of something that is not included in the menu description and that I can't even eat.

A few of my colleagues and I decided to go to Pancake Parlour for breakfast, BIGGEST MISTAKE. My regular stack pancakes were absolutely appalling and had a crunchy texture. They also appeared to be burnt, which is astonishing as pancakes are so bloody easy to cook. What a waste of $16. Please do not order drinks here as the "regular" sized iced chocolates and coffees are about as small as the brain of the woman who served us. This nasty employee appeared to be Asian, and continuously gave us mean looks. She had no patience when taking our orders. When it came to paying, she wouldn't allow us to split the bill, as she asserted that she "doesn't split bills during peak periods". Mind you, it wasn't even 10am yet and the restaurant was literally empty. This is by far one of the worst experienced my colleagues and I have ever had. Pancake Parlour, if you're reading this, please train your staff properly and teach them some respect.

Second time here and it's my second disappointment (I came here only because my daughter chose this place for a birthday meal). It wasn't busy at all by 5 pm, the menu was already on the table but we had to wait for the service for a while. We were given the Value menu only after asking for it, so one should know in advance what the menu options are. The waitress forgot about forks and knives. I ordered Tabriz crepe with bacon that I was not able to find. The dish arrived small and tepid (fast service huh) and even in the Value menu 16$ is a killer overprice (compare with 23.5$ in a full menu!) Big big disappointment...

I regularly visit here and they're consistently great, for big family gatherings or just a nice dinner for 2.
The staff are always nice, food is delicious and seating is comfortable. I personally love being seated in the booths.
I think the only downsides are it is sometimes quite loud - tough for conversation. It's also not very cheap. While you do get a reasonably large serving of food, you can expect to pay $70+ for 2 people if you get mains and drinks.
You'll definitely leave with a full and happy tum. I recommend!

Terrible experience. Just plain two pancakes with icecream at $12.90. Iced coffee without ice and sugar. In addition to it, we ordered milkshake but paid for Rocky Moutain malt. I don't want to visit there to have pancakes any more.
