Busy location, always love the food there. Above average price. I.e. $28 for a savory main meal, but it's a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very polite. They dont try to kick you out when you've sat for too long and not ordered anything else. That's so important.

Food was okay, but was very disappointed with service. There was an issue with paying so the lady at the counter told us to sit at our table and she would come and grab us after serving the people behind us. After waiting for nearly 30 minutes we realised she had completely forgotten about us so we went back up and she acted as if there were no problem at all. Huge waste of time, would not recommend.

We wanted a pancake breakfast place in Melbourne and we went here.
They have juices, salads, eggs and everything for breakfast.
I ordered a quinoa salad and quite rich in case you want something light and healthy. Good pancakes too.
They have espresso machine.

Absolutely a huge disappointment. Staff were pushy. When I requested our pancakes to come out after our main, was told just give them a wave. But within 5 minutes of receiving the main the waitress ask if it was alright to bring over the alright already cooked pancakes. When I said no not yet, was asked again while still eating my main not that long later. We told them we would let them know
When we finished our main was asked if it was alright, so we asked to give it 5 minutes. When they arrived mine were burnt, told the lady, who organise for more to be cooked. The bottom one was also burnt. So obviously 2-1 short stacks mean that they don't care how they are served. Not the first time Melbourne central pancake parlour has been a huge mistake, staff don't seem to care.

We went for a late breakfast using a voucher which was a gift.
The place wasn't super busy and service was excellent.
I really enjoyed my fluffy pancakes with the dollop of butter on top. I also added a cheese kransky. Was incredible. Highly raccomended

Worth checking out. Have been a few times now and it has not disappointed. Be prepared to walk out significantly heavier hahaha. I had milkshake as well, although nothing fancy it still hit the spot. Good location too!

Unfortunately my experience at the Melbourne Central Pancake Parlour was disappointing. When ordering, our waiter was incredibly dismissive and walked away with her back towards us before I was even finished my sentence, and did not speak nor smile once. When we revived a jug of water, the cups were filthy, as though they had been lifted straight from another persons table and not washed once between uses. The food was not worth the price and did not compensate for the disrespectful employees. Not happy and will not be coming here again.

Came here for dessert with friends, walked out bitterly unhappy. When you order food you expect what you ordered to be bought out correctly and for food to come out in general. My part of the order was forgotten and when we got the attention of the waiter and requested we cancel the waiting order, his response as okay and walked off. Customer service I don t think so. Wouldn t bother going back.

Food was nice but could not add to my order if it wasn't in the extras section... food was quick, coffee was slow. I had finished my breakfast then couple min later came the coffee.... nice place apart from the mountain of dust on the ledge around our booth.

I do not understand why the water is the only thing we have to get ourselves. Is there any reason that your staff do not put a bottle \ jug of water on the table? I was at your Melbourne central restaurant on the 1st Jan 2019. I have not noticed the water setup on the table, so requested the staff member. She has pointed me towards the water setup and advised that I go and get this myself.

Great place. Staff are very friendly. The hot cakes were so yummy. Went there for a dessert so this two dishes only cost $11.5 each. Highly reccommend.
This is two hot cakes with strawberry and two hot cakes with tiramisu.

The food was really nice and service was quick and friendly. Prices for food were on the higher side though and drinks were tiny and a rip off. $6 for a regular juice which was about 200ml. If they are that expensive it should at least be a proper glass, especially since it's not even fresh juice!!

Occasionally gets very hectic and loud, but that's easily forgiveable when the pancakes are so good. Savoury options are few - i don't recommend going here for a meal unless you intend for the main course to be pancakes.

Friends and I went there at about 11:30pm. It was quiet, but the staff were nice even though they looked tired. The female staff worker who took out order was very nice and polite, she also explained how to pay after (taking the itemised receipt to the counter) we were checked up on multiple times. We were given glasses and cold water. Tables, utensils and the restaurant in general looked clean. When paying we wanted to split the bill 4 ways, the female staff worker who served our table smiled and said "no problem" All in all a good midnight experience

Worst than ever branch of the pancake parlour I have seen is Melbourne Central.
Despite of not being busy, the staff came to receive the order after 15mins. And cherry on the cake is when we received the order it came out to be the wrong one.
We ordered chicken but was served with beef which is against our religion. And after we received the correct one, then there was no cheese at all. Disgusting.

No wonder how they manage the store in the busy conditions.

Took my daughter here , what pleasant staff , prompt service, and an absolute delicious meal , I had the barramundi and it was superbly cooked and presented with a lovely fresh salad and some hand cut chips yum , so good to see vegan and vegetarian options for my daughter too , well done guys for a nice lunch

Nice classic style pancakes.

Nice classic style pancakes.
Pancake parlor
Pancakes from a chain restaurant with a family restaurant-like atmosphere. There are many box seats and you can eat calmly. The service and the ones that the friendliness often asked for are also coming soon. Recommended when you want to eat traditional simple pancakes.

Astronomical bill for mediocre food! Chicken Parmigiana was an absolute turn-off and a definite no no! It is worth going here if you use 1-2 vouchers! Everything is literally over priced in their menu. The only thing I have enjoyed was their Swiss Mountain Malt on specials 2 for $12.

Our experience in the shop was good in relation to service, being boxing day we managed to find a table.

The food was below average and portion size left us wanting more. Without mentioning the public holiday surcharge all plates were overpriced and the public holiday surcharge was false advertised. On their website it's listed at 10% and over the counter they charged us 15%

End up paying $70 for a mediocre lunch only to leave and head for a snack elsewhere.

This place is normally a lot better, I'm unsure why my food wasn't hot this time. It was barely warm. In saying that it still tasted amazing and the service was good. I would have said something about the temperature had I not intended on claiming it as my free birthday pancakes.

Great location. Clean tables. Horrible service and lazy servers. Pancakes are frozen-food quality. Runny syrup. The Bourke Street Mall one was better tasting and better service but permanently closed. NEVER going back to PP again

Pancake Parlour is my always go to place, was in Melbourne Central today and the Pancake Parlour here is super cozy and friendly. Zeevar was quick to help us with the sitting and as we were very confused we got great recommendation from her too... Services like this makes trying new food more fun !!

The decor was really awesome! Atmosphere overall was very pleasant. Not often do I leave a restaurant almost too full but damn, they really hit the spot! I had the Farmer's Meal, head over heels for the hash browns and the pancakes. Our waitress was also incredibly sweet and helpful!

#tbt to these bad boys! @thepancakeparlour at the Melbourne Central serves some amazing pancakes, deserts, coffee and milkshakes. Actually the best pancakes we've had thus far.
The maple syrup and cream on it is JUST heaven!

Apparently there's a branch here in #Adelaide. I can't wait to try.

We've always liked going to the Pancake Parlour on the odd chance we can manage it. This was the one in Melbourne Central, which we hadn't been to before - the one on the Bourke Street Mall having closed, apparently - but this one suited nicely. Only problem, when we went to pay for our meals we were told that they were unable to split our bill! It would have been better to know that in advance, but otherwise the experience was good.

Different location, same disappointment: ridiculously expensive pancakes that are really not that worth it. You'll be paying for a meal here more than what you would normally pay on a nice restaurant anywhere else. Their ingredientes are also pretty bad: their mushroom sauce tastes like (and probably is) a premix powder. Can't believe they are still in business.
