Booked an afternoon tea and private room for 16 of us. From the minute I called in to arrange it till the end of the function the service was 100%. Could not find fault if I tried. When the staff found out it was our Golden wedding they pulled out all the stops and decorated the room beautifully. On the day, we arrived early and nothing was any bother. The manager came to see us, which considering he had a large wedding on and at least one other function was remarkable. He made us feel we mattered and introduced us to the staff who would be waiting on us, provided background music and spent time with us. The afternoon tea was superb, wonderful selection of freshly made sandwiches, beautifully presented cakes and fresh scones. Constant top ups of tea and coffee, AND they honoured the two for one November deal, which considering what we got and how it was done was a pleasant surprise. Nice to deal with honest, decent people. Have completely fallen in love with the Drumossie! The other hotel I contacted didn t even phone back!

Internet service was beyond TERRIBLE, and electric...

Internet service was beyond TERRIBLE, and electrical outlets are not the UK standard throughout the room (I had to charge my cell phone thru a laptop computer overnight and was unable to charge directly from any power outlet).
There should ALWAYS be some sort of outlet on/near both nightstands, but there was none. We tried to order food and drinks (not from the restaurant which opens at 1830) but never could find anyone in the lobby/sitting room to take our order after 20 minutes, and the front desk staff didn't show up even after we rang the front desk bell twice. We ended up going to to a much cheaper and better establishment in Inverness.
There is no safe in the room, meaning that all of your valuables are completely unsecured, at any time you are not in your room. Absolutely appalling, and extraordinarily unsatisfactory.
The included breakfast was beyond awful and service was very slow. Dry, tasteless bacon and eggs benedict which might a well come from a vending machine. The poor attempt at hallandaise sauce tasted like white nacho cheese sauce, that came from a can made 25 years ago. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! The best part of breakfast was the orange juice. The coffee was very cheap and tasted like garbage as well.
The hotel claims that their breakfast is "award winning", but this hotel would lose a breakfast competition with McDonalds or Starbucks by a large margin. Why does this hotel fabricate lies?
This hotel is not recommended in any way. Stay within the nearby city of Inverness, then you won't have to drive down there to see the sights, and experience the hotel's terrible service and food.
Overall, NOT a good hotel. I will NEVER be back. I hope they fix the massive amount of issues which we encountered during out stay.
DO NOT NOT NOT stay here!!!

Really cool art deco building from the outside. Interior decor is a bit dated/shabby though it is wonderfully spacious. Food is mostly excellent and staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Lovely room. Here for two nights for work. Internet is a bit poor and the restaurant was pricey for the basics. Breakfast is outstanding. Lack of actual bar makes getting a drink a challenge when there aren't many staff working. Lots of parking and great grounds. Overall recommended

The rooms could use more plugs, but everything else about our stay was wonderful. The staff were all incredibly helpful. The wifi in our room wasn't working, and the staff quickly moved us to another room without any fuss.

Performed in a concert here.
A big, open planned entrance, function suites and multiple bar areas.
Staff greeted on entry and were friendly.
Saw a bus load of disabled elderly people arriving and staff went out of their way to help, adjust floor plan.
Havent stayed or eaten here, but I would recommend to family based on what I experienced and observed.

Bed was amazing in comfort. Room a bit old in decor and wine was served warm in the area downstairs and in dirty glasses. I mentioned the dirty glass and was presented with another one the same. Eventually got a clean glass but didn't have the heart to complain about the room temp rose. I waited till the ice bucket did a good job of cooling the wine, last glass heaven.

Had a wonderful wedding at the Drumossie, everything went so smoothly and the staff were so helpful and attentive. I'd highly recommend the slow braised beef featherblade as your main course if you dine there but our vegetarian friends also praised the options available. Breakfast also had a number of options to suit all tastes and us served in a wonderful dining room with soft music. Makes for a very dramatic breakfast as you watch the mist burn back off the hillside.

The honeymoon suite is lovely with a four poster bed and the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful with everything.

Whether you are going there for an event or just a little Highland retreat, I highly recommend the Drumossie. Big thanks to Clare, Nancy, Ivan, Michael, Graeme and all the other staff for making our wedding so wonderful!

Very pleasant stay here. Easy access to main A9 road. The hotel itself was welcoming, the staff very nice , the food excellent and the room comfortable. My wife and I opted for the dinner b & b offer which gave us a good choice from the More

A lovely hotel part of the MacDonald Group just So...

A lovely hotel part of the MacDonald Group just South of Inverness, set in it's own grounds and a short distance from the A9, although you would not know it. Our room was comfortable and well appointed with views across the extensive gardens, the bathroom had a lovely bath and separate shower the only downside was the shower that lacked water pressure. The room service was great however a bit pricey in comparison to similar grade hotels.

Public areas felt comfortable and the large function room was set away from the main hotel areas, which meant the party music did not disturb early to bed guest. Breakfast in the restaurant offered a good choice and plenty of cereals and pastries.

Overall a very pleasant stay.

Just a quick note and complaint about our experience today having afternoon tea at the Drumossie Hotel.
We paid to put our daughter into the nursery for the afternoon looking forward to a quaint idea - afternoon tea. Unfortunately the experience didn't live up to expectations.
Having been only asked tea or coffee, no selection, it arrived and was poured quickly so hadn't had time to brew, so weak as dishwater. About 5 mins after the tea arrived the sandwiches etc arrived. The bread was dry, thick and crusts had nearly been cut off. If you were on a building site you'd have been happy but if you were hoping for dainty and genteel you were not.
Scones were nice but not enough cream for two. Cakes were okay at best and no pastries.
We had hoped for a pleasant leisurely afternoon at the hotel but instead we had a half hour disappointment.
Overall very disappointed - definitely not worth the money. This needs to be sorted out.

Sent the above to the Drumossie Hotel and they didn't even bother to respond.

Here for a function. Bar not the cheapest so be prepared to part with a fair bit of cash if you're buying a round. Service could be a bit slow too. Nice function room though, great for a wedding or party.

Attended a company event here for about 120 people. There is a large banquet hall with space for a stage and a projection screen for presentations which we used. The service was great, and the food was top notch. We've done this event for a few years now and the Drumossie have always made it a grand evening for us.

THANK YOU FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY

THANK YOU FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY
We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at the New Drummossie Hotel in Inverness. The room was superb very spacious and exceedingly well equipped with an ensuite bathroom that was equally luxurious. Members of staff were formal but friendly enough, whilst the meals were of a high standard. Thanks must go to Richard who waited at table with a friendly, quiet and superbly efficient manner. Hotels are very lucky to employ such excellent people.

Stayed here last night! Major disappointment! Rooom very nice, large room very comfortable bed. View over rubbish bins! No bar-we were able to order drinks in lounge but not quite the same!! We were looking forward to our breakfast-THIS was very poor- bacon tomato and what was supposed to be scrambled egg! The menu says free range eggs????? All in all a very bland breakfast. I always thought it was polite NOT to remove plates till all diners were finished-this is not the policy here- first my fresh fruit nearly got whipped away before I had finished, then my husband had his plate removed long before I stopped eating. We felt they must want to reset for other guests??
